Michi gave a snicker as her cousin clearly knew the father far too well. "That's totally him!" Leave it to Michi's dad to be proud of grey hair! Juni definitely needed to take a page out of his book, though, and relax a little!
As the conversation progressed, a grin stamped itself on Michi's lips. She was Juni's number one fan already! "I'll show you all the support I can!" Best number one fan ever! Would Juni miss the enthusiasm that the teen already held? #1 Fan foam finger was going to be ordered within the hour, surely!
...Were those even allowed at swim competitions? Michi sure hoped so. She wanted to pull all the stops!
God knew Juni could use some big fans, considering her dad clearly wasn't one. Could he even really be considered a dad? Pssh. Michi's dad was dad enough to be both their dads! They could totally share! They practically had for years, anyway. "She prob's thinks he sucks, too." Sometimes people just sucked! Plain truth!
Another thing that sucked was not getting away with trading clothes. "I still don't see why we couldn't trade hoodies," she grumbled, with a dramatic puff of her cheeks. "There was that time where we thought we could trick our parents into thinking I was you, and you were me, by tradin' clothes, too. Remember that? In their defense, they were very small, and both brunette! Who would think their parents, of all people, would be able to tell the difference? "That was actually kind'a dumb, though." At least she was old enough to realize that swapping children was not an easy task these days!
Maybe it was because Michi and Juni had very different hair colors now. Hopefully, it was because Michi was smarter than her five-year-older variant.
With the combination Juni being in need of a change of clothes, and being one stiff customer, Michi came up with yet another great way to spend the night. "Okay! Okay I got it! Fast foods, comfy clothes, mud masks." Lightbulb moment! "You ever have a mud mask before, Juni? I've got kits for it in a box in the bathroom!" At least, hopefully they were in the box in the bathroom. If they weren't, they were lost in another realm, likely to never be seen again. Or, just in another box somewhere else and had been horribly misplaced. One of the two!
"Mud isn't as heavy as rocks, 'least," she added, after a moment of thought. Both usually sunk, though. Not ideal for a swimmer, she guessed.
At least there were some conversations that the green haired cousin knew she had to agree to eventually. Luckily, Michi thought it was a pretty good one! With a squeal of glee, and clapping her hands, it was clear that the silver haired teen was thrilled that she'd won relatively quickly! "It'll be so great, I promise!" At least, it had better be! Worst case, they'd end up in a hot tub to decompress, right?
Now, though? Came time to consult the ultimate decision-maker here. Juni's mom. Placing both hands on one of her cousin's shoulders, the girl peered over at the conversation, very obviously. For a while, she read silently, only to end with, "yep, sounds like Aunty all right." Loving as ever! "You think we really only have 'til tomorrow for your stuff?" Either Juni hopefully didn't have a lot of stuff, or Aoi wouldn't actually give a crap about time limits! Michi suspected it would fall somewhere in the middle.
Overall, it seemed that the idol wasn't too surprised about the response, though! "I'd ask what our first order of business as roomies should be but," the girl paused, making a sweeping gesture at the room, "I think we've already done it." They'd made some pretty good progress, at least! "How ya feeling?"
