Hazuki Rui + The Creature

Post by Hazuki Rui (& Inge too) on Mar 26, 2020 6:32:43 GMT
Name: Rui Hazuki
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Height: 5’2
Weight: 105 lbs
Alignment: True Neutral
Birth Date: August 17th
Birth Place: Ichihara, Chiba, Japan
Digivice: Standard D-3. Hers is a salmon color. At least on the grip.
Personality: Skittish is a word that one normally would loathe to use as the main thing to describe somebody. It's a descriptor that implies cowardice, yet it seems to work perfectly for somebody like Rui Hazuki. She's a worrywart, a nervous wreck, at that, but she's always doing her best. She may be spineless, for the moment, but she has a knack for being able to talk her way out of nearly anything. The operative term here being 'nearly,' of course.
Underneath that face of cowardice, however, lies a thinker, a schemer, someone who can be ruthless if she so wishes, and knows it...most of the time. This is the side of Rui that shows whenever she's truly comfortable somewhere, like her apartment, or with a friend she appreciates. She's got a fancy for history and enjoys tales of old, big or small. Overall, she's a perfectly average and reasonable human being, despite her proverbial lack of a spine.
Appearance: Rui is...small, to start this off with a fair descriptor. While she would be considered short in other places outside of Japan, she's considered relatively average in height within the home nation. How tall, one may ask? Five feet and two entire inches. Outside of this, Rui has black hair that she keeps cut short and above the neck, and dark, brown eyes, dark enough that one could definitely mistake them for being black. Coupled with pale skin and a rather slender, androgynous figure, this ends up causing Rui to look more sinister than most girls her age, whether intentionally or not. Her wardrobe is incredibly simple, however. Alternating between skirts, pants, t-shirts and blouses alike, Rui's got an outfit for practically anywhere she might find herself in.
Faceclaim: Monogatari Series • Oshino Ougi • Hazuki Rui
Personal History: About eighteen years ago, a businessman (Hazuki Arata) and a colleague of his (Nakayama Emiko) in Ichihara ended up falling for each other while on a lunch date together. Pretty hard, at that. This relationship went as normal or however one would expect, until Emi had come out of a doctor's visit with the revelation that she was with child. Surprised as Arata had been to receive that news, the couple opted to stick together. A few months later?
A hot summer's night heralded Rui's birth. She never got the full story about that from her parents, but from the details she knew, her birth was as much of a surprise as her mother finding out she was pregnant with her. Despite how out-of-nowhere this child was, Rui's parents had been more than prepared to step up to the challenge of mother and fatherhood, respectively, though they did do their best to keep their focus upon their jobs. The result of this was, naturally, Rui growing up with a pair of doting parents and a metric ton of support growing up, even if she found herself being called weird at school for one reason or another, or found herself struggling academically as time went on. Midway through high school, her family had to move to Shibuya because of work-related reasons, which resulted in Rui having to shift campuses from where she was in Chiba.
Did Rui adjust to it well? Well, no, she was actually moderately terrified regarding the change in locale to the heart of Japan. But, she had to steel her nerves and finish that bit of her education. She had aspirations, after all! Like becoming the curator of a museum. She picked up that interest over the years, and when she graduated, she decided to attend college to pursue that interest.
That's more or less how she ended up here. Rui's studying hard, and doing her best. It's perfectly normal, the life she leads. Honest.
Digimon Name: Inge
Default Form: Terriermon/Gargomon
Gender: Female
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Personality: This entity appears to have reincarnated quite recently, so her morality and her wants are not exactly all there just yet. However, she has a grasp on the world as it is now, which makes quantifying who she is as a person more simplistic in terms of difficulty. Inge is rather contradictory in nature, as she is both curious, yet painfully meek in nature. She seeks knowledge and the gratification that comes from that knowledge, yet struggles with urges directing her towards violence and blowing things up for the fun of it. Inge is also socially dense. She's not dumb by any means but social cues can escape her, which means interacting with her is something that requires patience.
Don't lash out at her, either, that'll scare her and prompt her to go on the defensive. And whatever you do, do not put her near bugs or dragons, they terrify her to no end. Almost as much as authorities do. It's unclear where this phobia comes from, but it's prevalent enough to merit being written about.
Personal History:
Familiarity.
Fire. Brimstone.
City Square. Dog. Gold.
Electricity. Authorities.
Death. Rebirth.

For foes, this translates to a two post long debuff where their defense is lowered by 25% thanks to burns. For the environment? Well, this Terriermon is the mortal enemy of Smokey the Bearmon. Three post cooldown.
Terrier Typhoon: Terriermon spits out a Bunny Blast as she spins, creating a tornado of burning winds that cuts and burns at anyone in a 36 foot radius around her. Self-explanatory, but it also carries no debuffs. Two post cooldown.
Career Ender: A really fierce punch! No, really, Terriermon is capable of close quarters combat to a terrifying degree. One post cooldown.
