For what was worth, Junko was somebody who could put on the concentration to do half-well at school when properly incentivized to perform. Right now? That incentive was that she wouldn’t be able to participate in the interschool swimming competition unless she got passable grades in her English exams. The conclusion? Juni found out that English wasn’t that hard of a subject! Or, better said, that completing exercises where it had to be employed wasn’t very difficult. Who’d have thought, right?
Good thing that, even if she was decently proficient at the stuff, the bells that rang signified that she didn’t have to bear it anymore. Hurriedly, she picked up her things, packed her bag, and proceeded to go through the usual motions to exit the school. Once she was done filling and closing her locker, she turned in the direction to the school’s exit only to come across the sight of a pretty soft shade of brown hair. It kinda reminded her of her own hair color before she dyed it out. Anyways! She knew this person; it was the same age as her, but they didn’t share the same classroom. Her name, though? No idea; Junko wasn’t good for that kinda deal.
“Um…” Her voice was pretty subdued, almost as if she was afraid of talking to the person in front of her, despite the fact she had begun the conversation. Considering the person that was being addressed… not surprising at all, to be honest!
“Spit it out, Wimp. You’re kinda blockin' m’way, yanno?” Nobody said that the aqua-haired teenager was a patient person. She had been waiting for this moment the whole day, and now she couldn’t exit school just because somebody decided to be timid in front of her!
Against all odds, it looked like Junko’s words had the desired effect. “I, um!” The other girl’s body jolted upwards, almost as if she were being reprimanded. “Do… do you want to hang out after school? I know a pretty nice pl-.”
Juni had to resist to potentially die from laughter on that precise spot; a pretty big grin was on her face, nonetheless. “I’m sorry, Wimp. You kinda got the wrong impression, methinks. I don’t actually swing that way.”
The girl’s cheeks turned beet red at such statement; this wasn’t the first time the aqua-haired teenager had gotten a confession of that kind, and that, more often than not, brought a question to her head. Did she really look like a lesbian? Not like she could entertain it this time for a long enough, though.
“N-no. It’s not that.” Girl seemed like she was getting progressively more and more stressed at trying to maintain this conversation. “I meant… like f-friends.”
This time, Junko found herself thinking about the proposal more in-depthly, even though she ended shaking her head in the end, anyway. “Don’t have no time to hang out with a wimp; already wasted enough time studyin’ for my crappy English lesson. See ya!” In a somewhat fluid motion, the brunette was left in the dust as Juni raced towards the outside world
