Naturally, Cion was perceptive enough to notice the occasional glance that Syre cast her way. It likewise amused, flattered and delighted her to know that, in every instance, she was additionally granted a faint blush by her. It were these kinds of unconscious acts that were cast-iron proof of the intimacy and intensity their bond genuinely had, and its bliss was certainly only bound to increase with each passing day. And although the silver fennec was often far too composed and stalwart in her poise to let on about her innermost emotions, she nevertheless frequently returned the kittenish playfulness with a rapt smile.
Returning the kitchen to an adequate state of cleanliness alongside her dearly beloved darling, she was briefly surprised to witness that none of her hosts intervened in this act. Typically, making or enabling a guest to work during a visit was considered incongruous. Perhaps everyone was simply more utilitarian in spirit, or maybe they did not wish to decline her prevenience. Ultimately, the reason did not matter to the unassuming fox, for she was quite content to carry her own weight in the company of friends and partners. Therefor, she relinquished the sentiment as quickly as it had come.
As for the topic that was a proper lunch, heating a pot of chili up was not truly what she had in mind. Of course she did not doubt the culinary skills of this most lovely family, but preparing dishes was at least half the fun. However, she was not one to defy consensus in this ordinary situation. Perish the thought! If all present were longing for something meaty and spicy, already prepared or not, then the restrained Arniomon was not hesitant in her willingness to comply.
Nonetheless, there was an important objection she had to voice. "You might not Holly, but I will." She quipped while beaming with confidence. She was certain that, due to her constantly heightened metabolism, that she had plenty of room for both meals. Perpetually existing in her current form had its benefits and drawbacks, and an increased need for sustenance could be perceived as either. And despite her petite stature, the amount of energy she required to sustain herself was doubtlessly vast - relatively speaking that was.
Softly folding her arms, Cion was admittedly curious and excited for what was planned to happen next. Would they finally indulge themselves in the time well wasted that was video games, or would she at last receive the innumerable questions which were bubbling int he Meicrackmon's heart? In the end, it turned out neither was the case, for she and the doctor excused themselves to continue their studies.
Leaving the felines to their devices, the vulpine sentinel instead focused on her precious onyx one and the esteemed paladin. "Busy is good. After all, few things in life are as wonderful as a family to enjoy and cherish." She declared firmly, staunch in her point of view. However, her tone was calm and slightly diffident, if not somber, which was atypical for the poised lady. It seemed surreal, but it was possible that this subject was one she reacted sensitive towards. The reason for this was vaguely known by the BlackGatomon - the fennec had told her that she was not the first digimon who she had forged a romantic relationship with

Admittedly, having Cion clean at all was likely a faux pas on Syre's behalf. It would have arguably been more courteous to have offered to handle the task herself, but honestly, it didn't even occur to Syre to ask. It just made sense to the BlackGatomon that the two would pick up after the mess they had made. Now, if Syre had stepped back and left Cion to clean the entire mess by herself, then perhaps even Mikemon would have stepped in to set things back in order! At the very least, having two sets of hands on the task made the cleaning go that much faster.
As for lunch? Syre hadn't completely taken anything else off of the table, but Cion would start to get an idea of how things were structured up in this homely cabin out in the frozen north. It wasn't often that anyone was home, so whenever anyone had a chance, they cooked, and they cooked in excess: putting the utilities away would reveal large pots, steamers and the like, all with more signs of use than what could be expected of ill-purchased kitchen novelties.
The cloth they were cut from, as it were, was decidedly different. Cion had her proper tone and a charm befit of a proper lady, whereas Syre was more laid back and casual - something that would slowly crop up over from time to time. The BlackGatomon never meant to offend, of course, but she could be strongly spoken, and quick to 'jump' at things to take the lead. The pie, the chili, those were both Syre's ideas, right?
As Cion spoke up about her appetite, Syre found herself giving a grin. The way Cion said that with confidence was enough to bring the cat to stifle a chuckle! "Heh... there's plenty to go around, no worries about that." With such a high default form, the cat briefly wondered how much the fox could go through! Things seemed to move right along, though:
Holly would be swept away for her studies, leaving Silence, Cion, and Syre in the kitchen for the meantime. Wiping up the last of the counter, Syre would give a small stretch, ear flicking as Holly started to murmur on in the background.
"Heh..."" Busy was good, of course, but those words came from a particular part of Cion's heart. To Silence it might have seemed a little bit odd to say it in such a tone - and perhaps a little odder for Syre to slip close, wrap an arm around Cion's back, and gently drag her nails down Cion's back. "Well... for now..." Sheesh, where did they go from here? Syre took a moment to think, and... hm.
... "... Methinks I might have skipped over the whole reason I asked you over... we got so wrapped up in the pie that we just ended up doing that, didn't we?" Syre bit her tongue in slight embarrassment, eyes looking over at that timer and the lit-up oven. "I... um... well, what do you want to do, Cion? If we want to cook something else, it'd have to be with the stove-top." Not that the options for that were lacking, if they were creative enough!
"Else, we could go into town, play some games, or just catch up in the living room?" Syre might have been all over the place, but she at least tried to 'check' herself!

Holly blinked at cion and couldn’t help but chuckle. Out of everyone in the household it was holly that had the largest appetite in this family! Then again it didn’t come to a surprise with how gun ho she was about every little thing. If she didn’t pace herself often more than not she’d have to eat much more than what was normal for most mons!
”Oh I wasn’t meaning for me, I meant them!”
Holly gave a small gesture to silence, syre and mikemon. The first of which couldn’t help but snort and stick out her tongue at the meicrackmon who returned the gesture in amusement. The meicrackmon mulled over a few things; given that cion was here for syre there wasn’t much for her to ask or say right? And with the weird sort of feeling she was getting from silence n her da she didn’t want to push for that either.
”Oh the two of you going out would be adorable! Though I’ll have to hang back and get into my studies!”
”I’ve got a few calls to make too. Gotta set a few things up. But this works out well don’t it? You two can go out on the town, I can handle whatever. Holly handles whatever. Mikemon can...[”
Silence tilted her head and glanced out at where mikemon was; she didn’t want to push him to do something he didn’t want to and after that discussion maybe a little bit of space would be good for the moment. She’d consider something briefly and then shrug to herself. Stepping out to their room so she could handle those exact things.
”Come to think of it I should introduce lux to them at some point…”
Silence mumbled a bit and looked somewhat pensive for a moment; she’d prefer those in the knights to know one another and if she needed to she’d drag each of her mercs in here to meet with the others….
”Didn’t you want to talk to cion about somethin else too? Or am I crazy?”
Holly furrowed her brows; she was pretty sure there was another thing but… she couldn’t really remember. Maybe it was because of just how much was going on right now… Or that she was getting a bit scatter brained!

Following a moment of delight jest, it did not take long for her darling's family to depart from them to pursue their own interests and duties. Cion was admittedly somewhat astonished, which she was not hesitant to display on her petite muzzle. Given that her presence was planned in advance, she had expected far more conversations, questions and group activities. Quite frankly, she had even looked forward to bond further with Mikemon, Silence, and Holly too fo course. But apparently, they were content with that they had witnessed. This meant they approved of their relationship - a sentiment that was pure catharsis for her.
Certainly fond of the placid yet active cloth the people around her were made of, the silver fennec's aureate eyes briefly widened as she was granted Syre's affectionate caresses again. Leaning slightly backwards into her partial embrace, the sensation of her mighty talons softly fondling her shoulder and back was indescribably pleasant. Anew, it was proof of her impressions of the comely, upfront feline. Few digimons were as proactive and benign in the act of caring for others than she was. She always had the right words and deeds up her sleeves, and was not shy to use them.
With only them left, the small fox let out a quiet yet genial murr. Tilting her head so the tips of their snub nose would meet, she smiled dreamily at the onyx cat. Realizing their instance of privacy and her wonderful responsibility of reciprocating the affinity she received, she gently nuzzled her dear. It was almost akin to an Eskimo kiss, and how enjoyable it was. It felt as if ages had passed since she last had someone to care for so earnestly. Perhaps she had forgotten what a marvelous feeling it was. However, what did the worries of the past matter?
"Don't worry. I am aware of the reason." Cion responded endearingly, a faint chuckle on her lips as their close gazes met. They were here to strengthen their relation. The way they did this was hardly of concern to the vulpine lady. Playfulness and ordinary events were equally as important as the exceptional minutes. They had all the time in the digital world, so why rush? "I am open for anything. Is there a preference you have? Though I'd suggest, for now at least, to leave or something quiet so the others are not disturbed in their work."

That was just how it was that day: even if they had a sudden guest over, it didn't make the world stop spinning for the rest of them! Holly still had a test to study for, Silence had to make her calls, and Mikemon had to both help Holly and keep up with his own office work. Perhaps they would enjoy a good, decent break when the pie was finally finished, and have a rare get-together over the lunch table.
But, there was still a positive to this all: Syre and Cion could share a few, precious moments alone. Syre's claws gently dug into Cion's back, as the fox herself pulled herself closer. As their amber eyes stared warmly into each-other's gaze, the feline felt herself give a small purr, returning that rub of her muzzle against her darling's. Whatever the occasion, it was nice to just sneak a moment or two like this once in a while.
With a blush on Syre's face, the two were left with figuring out what to do next. After Syre gave her options, Cion 'passed' the topic back to her, leaving the feline to mull over their options for the moment. "Something that wouldn't bother the rest of them... honestly, if that's the case..." Syre turned to look back at the stove-top. "If everyone else is so busy, let's try and treat them to a nice lunch? There's a lot we can do with the stove-top, and its not like we can just leave the kitchen timer unattended for the pie anyway."
She smiled, and looked back into the freezer for a moment. "As for what to cook, I'd like to learn something from you - though I'll suggest that we keep in mind that we're cooking for two cats, two foxes, and a wolf, so whatever we do better have some meat in it, and not be too... well, too 'complex' to make for five!"
Cion probably got the hint from the leftover chili in the freezer: this was definitely a family that liked to just pop into the kitchen and 'grab what they wanted'! As for Mikemon, Holly, and Silence? Well, at least for the former two, it didn't take long for them to get right back to studying and to the index cards. The only difference now, was that the door was closed and the fan turned on, so that the two of them wouldn't be distracted by the scent of the now-baking pie in the oven. They'd go over those index cards and notes for the next few minutes, until it was finally time to put those books and cards away.
Mikemon would give a smile as he did so. "You're doing a lot better at this sort of stuff than you were doing last week, Holly. You're picking up the basics quite well, and those terms are finally starting to stick. I know its not your favorite thing, but once you have the groundwork and know the 'rules' of it all, I know you'll be able to use your head to make some great breakthroughs. Now..."
He adjusted the focus of their topic. "... Notes are one thing, but there's also technical skill to consider... hm?"
... Something to talk to Cion about? There was a bit of a bridge in their topic, but the doctor gave a small shrug. "Well, sure. That entire mess in the forest is of interest, and I'd like to know more about her directly with her being so close to my daughter, but its not as if I'm concerned. She's already a good family friend, right? All of that can wait.

Holly blinked a few times as she paused at the door; oh maybe cion had been expecting them to stick around a little longer? The mon rubbed at the back of her head.
”Sorry, I really do need to study and silence seems to have something up. Don’t worry we’ll be around and we can still chat but… I think it just goes to show how we trust you with syre.”
Holly smiled warmly at the others and hopped back to it. Really leaving her sister with the fox seemed the best idea; given that they would want some privacy to chat or figure out food stuffs.
Now with her father and back into studying? Holly seemed to be fully going for it. Her ears flicked as he spoke and she’d stare up at him. The meicrackmon had bounced down to her rookie form if only so that she wasn’t crowding her dad when she needed to ask him questions or look over notes.
”well to be fair I’ve been practicing with jade, silence and uhm… some of my partners at school are actually getting past the fact I’m a meicoomon. Well… mostly.”
The worst of them were mons that were champion; the little rookie couldn’t contend with them and if she took her champion form they’d be out on a prairie claiming she was ultimate! Which wasn’t allowed on school grounds for many a reason.
”Technical skill? Care to explain?”
Holly tilted her head to one side as mikemon spoke. The mess in the forest, being so close to his daughter and being already a good family friend? Well. Yes it could wait and the meicoo could only nod before turning back to her notes.
”...Where did you go to school da? Was its sort of lessons a lot like this one or is all this comin from experience?

What Cion witnessed was certainly an oddity, but to say that it did not delight her would have simply been wrong. She liked the sentiment that the world did not stop spinning due to her presence, and of course that everyone trusted her so much as to be alone with their daughter and sister Syre. The family she had found herself in was filled with truly responsible, sincere and genial people... including her darling. The way they supported and cared for each other was undoubtedly heart-warming, and it fueled within her a pleasant desire to contribute in any way she could. As unusual this role was for a guest, she embraced it tightly.
In contrast, her display of affection with the onyx felidae was gentle and slightly coltish. A caressing touch, a marvelous view into their aureate eyes, a soft act of nuzzling... it was everything the silver fennec had ever hoped for, and infinitely more. As fleeting as the moment was, she enjoyed and treasured every second of it. The sensation and notion that she no longer was lonesome in this vast, incomprehensible realm had mended her fractured soul, making her a better person - or rather who she used to be. And no matter what effort it took, it was her volition to maintain their innermost bond.
Chuckling to once again see a faint blush on her dear's snout, she released her grip on her as to anticipate the next instance. However, this was naturally not all she had on her mind. In response to her question, the comely BlackGatomon put forth an excellent suggestion. To assure that the pie would be removed from the oven in time, and to treat the others who are busy working, they could cook for them a proper lunch.
"Splendid." She almost rejoiced, a confident smile and stance manifesting itself on her frame. Evidently, she was ready for today's good deed. Nevertheless, what they intended to prepare was still written in the stars, but the idea that she'd teach her partner a recipe was enrapturing her to no end. "Lots of meat and not too complex - sounds like a spicy curry to me." She proposed, knowing that it was easy to adapt to everyone's tastes. Heck, even the trimmings were pretty much interchangeable. Potatoes, rice, noodles, couscous... infinite options.

"Heh... glad that's starting to pass, Holly."
It was always a concern, of course. One would hope that in the medical field, one could simply look past it and focus on their studies, but Holly was a Meicoomon - a species of Digimon known for their ferocity and hunger. It made her the perfect candidate for being picked on and bullied, so to hear that classes were going 'well enough' in that regard was relieving to the doctor!
"Yes, technical skill. You could have all of the medical knowledge in the world, but you also need to be able to act on it. Needles, scalpels, scissors: you need a steady hand and a calm demeanor, to not make a 'slip' or an error, even if something about the patient ends up surprising you. Its something you'll need a lot of practice in, and something that can be very stressful at first."
And with how quick the MeiCrackmon was to act on her emotions, that was going to be a large hurdle to get over.
"Mm... I did most of my education through Whitewater, though that was a very long time ago. It was hardly the big 'vacation' spot it is now... gosh, I haven't thought about school in decades." Nor was it a good time for him, either: trying to hide the fact that he was Greed, rending the title away from his core, nose-deep in books and research...
The doctor shook his head.
"A lot of what I know now is from experience, hun. There's a reason," he tapped the cover of Holly's book, "that I'm one of the names written here!" Holly's sentiment was definitely a bright one, even if it brought a bit of a redder tinge to Syre's cheeks!
Yes, the family trusted the two of them, and sought to 'let them be' rather than try and poke and look into every aspect of this relationship. It was a fun, jovial family, a ship that had seen its rocky moments and had done its best to weather the storm, one way or another. It allowed Cion and Syre to enjoy these moments of closeness, a gentle nuzzle between them growing to be a warm, common, and comfortable occurrence.
As they stepped apart, Syre's earnest smile was kept right on her face, as Cion agreed with her suggestion, and added her own: curry! It wasn't something that Syre was entirely unfamiliar with, but it also wasn't something that she had cooked often. "Curry, eh? Well, let's take a look in the pantry..."
With how much they had to stock up, it wasn't hard to find what they were looking for. Syre brought over the spice rack, setting the limited array on top of the counter, before taking a look in the refrigerator. "Let's see. We can work with chicken or beef... and it looks like we'd have all of the basics for whatever we're looking for." Milk, simple fruits, spices, salt, pepper - if it could be found in a normal kitchen, it was all there!
"Go ahead and take the reins, hun. I'll follow your lead!"

”I think it’s cause well… they stopped having so much fun with it more than anything.”
Holly sighed a bit and flicked her ears; hearing that she needed more technical practice wasn’t a surprise. She didn’t have much to begin with. She’d turn a page and mull over what he had to say. Very stressful? She wasn’t exactly sure how much stress she could handle at least initially. A lot of what she was doing already… well. It’d create problems right?
”I just hope i can get used to it.”
It wasn’t so much matter a factly as it was just being honest. Hearing that he did most of his education in whitewater made her feel a little bit better given that was the place she initially took her tests. Maybe if she had listened to him and went to whitewater school she wouldn’t have had as much of a problem with all of this.
”Was it the one we went to test at when I was still a kitten?”
Well less of a kitten than she was now; she still felt like she was too damn young really. Or at least too damn experienced. She’d sigh a bit and lean back in her chair. Hearing that he was one of the names in this book surprised her. She had thought the one mentioned was a different person!
”I thought that this was a different one than you… huh.”
Then again how many mikemon were there in the world and just how many of them were doctors? She had to wonder that to herself given that she figured that her father didn't know the answer either! It also made her wonder how many shutmon or renamon there were... Given that the latter seemed more common while the former was... Well she didn't see big wolves like that walking around too often!

Gently folding her arms, a soft smile anew manifested itself on Cion's petite muzzle. Naturally, she had not minded that her suggested cake had been overruled - perish the though, no - but the sentiment that her second opportunity to shine was granted a fighting chance by her darling pleased her greatly. Perhaps it was her wish to impress the onyx feline and her family, or maybe it was simply the desire to cosset her in the ways she knew how, which excited her to begin at once. Nevertheless, she maintained her patience and poise, figuratively crossing her fingers in the hope that suitable materials were present.
Fortunately, they indeed were. Squealing with glee, the silver fennec was suddenly indulging in her passion and cheer by quickly arranging what they required - utensils and ingredients alike. "Head chef Cion ready for duty. Sous-chef Syre, please preheat the pans and then assist me mince the meat, vegetable and fruits." She instructed confidently, as a proper leader and cook would do. Self-evidently, she did so in a coltish manner, but her fervor was clear as day nonetheless. This was going to be a huge amount of fun, so why not concede to it?
It was with unyielding dedication that the unassuming fox prepared the dish alongside her dearly beloved. However, her formula and approach was somewhat unorthodox. She seared both their selected meat and the mixture of greens and spices in different pans. And instead of the typical stock, she added a sauce made out of yogurt, jus and low-fat cream. The result, as everything was combined to broil, was a caressing swirl of unfathomably hearty roast aromas. In combination with the additional slices of mushrooms, the meal was without doubt wholesome, substantial and square.
Now, the duo only had to watch over it and the pie that was close to being finished. Sweating slightly from the accumulated heat, the restrained Arniomon let out a sigh of relief. It had been a while since she had last cooked herself, so it was good to know that she still had it in her. "So... what kind of music to do you like, Syre?" She asked inquisitively as a means to pass the time and to get even more acquainted with her charming partner.

"If they're not having fun with it, that means you're not letting them have fun with it."
And that was reason enough for the doctor to be proud of Holly! The doctor gave Holly a pat on the head, ruffling up the fur on the top of her head as the two continued to pick up. "And I'm sure you'll get used to it. Those classes will be starting soon - its just going to be quite a bit different than what you've been doing. You'll be doing a lot of standing up, a lot of focusing, and a lot - I mean a lot - of sewing."
It was something that every doctor had to go through at some point! His ear gave a flick as Holly asked where Mikemon had his education: "Heh, you're forgetting how old your dad is, hun. That college wasn't there for hundreds of years since I've been there - information and education have improved a lot since then. I've studied there on-and-off to keep updated, but I've taught there for longer than that."
Given his age, it wasn't really surprising how his name was on those books! Stretching out his back, he'd give a chuckle - and a sniff in the air, as he heard something starting to simmer and bubble in the chicken. Something... spicy! "Hm, that's a bit sharper than stew... curry, maybe?" The doctor couldn't quite place it, as it really didn't feel like one of his own family's recipes! "Alright, I say let's wrap this up for today! Honestly, if the house is going to be smelling this good, I can't say I'm apt to keep focusing on studying, either..." Cion was quick to take the helm, wasn't she?
Hearing her cry of delight, it didn't take long for Syre to put her apron back into place, and smirk as the fennec gave her first 'order'. "As you wish, Ms. Head Chef!" She'd chuckle, and would be quick - and careful - to get the heat started on the stove, and the pans on the heat, as well as provide a bottle of oil. Syre wasn't a professional chef by any means, but she had enough practice to know her way around a knife, mincing the meat into small cubes and the vegetables into thin strips, and then smaller chunks. She'd listen to and follow Cion's advice as the process went on:
Mixing the spices, preparing the meat, pre-seasoning a few of the vegetables as well as the meat. She didn't have any indication that what Cion was doing was too out-of-the-ordinary, instead lending an open ear to understand why she decided to do things the way she was doing them. And once everything was off in the pot, and ready to simmer over the next several minutes, she'd share a small high-five with the fennec, before stepping back to finally pull off that apron. While that was on the heat, she took a pitcher, beginning to fill it with chilled water.
Her ear flicked at Cion's question - and Syre gave a small, nervous chuckle at that. "Honestly, that's not something I've thought too much of. I guess I'd say 'rock' or 'rock and roll', but if you ask me to name a band, I couldn't tell you one for the life of me." She shook her head: "I like music, but... not enough to look too much into it, you know?"
Syre was sure that made sense, but it often felt like some knew a lot more about music! "Though, maybe that's just a lack of opportunity. I think Terminus is a lot better place to get into concerts and the like. Maybe?"

”Well uhm…”
Holly felt a tinge of red come to her cheeks, truth be told she wasn’t sure why they had stopped all of a sudden. She felt like it wasn’t her that had caused them to do so but… then again maybe people just got better or more used to someone after a bit.
”Well it’s a good thing that I’m already pretty good at sewing. Remember when I tried to make my bedsheets into a cloak like ma’s?”
The meicoomon snickered at the thought and shook her head. She had also done the same thing with t he sheets at one point trying to mimic what she thought a doctor’s coat looked like at the time and suffice to say made a mess of both the sheets and her room!
”Well to be fair though Da, I don’t… actually know how old you are or how old ma was. Just that you both are well. Old. Or at least were old.”
Holly scratched at her cheek and flicked her ears, following suit to sniff at the air; yes they were coming along with that chicken… And it was spicy? Oh that made sense given syre’s tastes.
”Mmm… you have a point. Maybe we should break out some of the board games? Get cion introduced to the stuff syre likes doing maybe? Or stuff that we all like doing?”
Holly put a paw to her mouth and mulled this over; they couldn’t really read together could they? She was… sure that they couldn’t at least. Maybe they could watch a movie? Or maybe… There wasn’t a lot that she knew what they could do as a group. Or at least what she felt that the fennec would be interested in.

To be honest, there were several aspects that Cion considered atypical about her approach to cooking a curry. For the most part, it seemed as if someone not native to its cuisine attempted to imitate the dish without fully knowing how. There was a lot of improvisation and procedures from other dishes, such as stew, as well as ingredients that did not truly belong. Nevertheless, there never was a moment of hesitation in the silver fennec's actions, nor was there uncertainty in her facial expression. On the contrary - she was figuratively beaming with confidence and pleasant anticipation.
Hence it was almost a shame that the deed had been done so quickly. Sighing contentedly nonetheless, she leaned against the adjacent wall to watch their repasts ripen like a good whine. With her petite nose occasionally twitching, the marvelous scents of heartily sweet pie and spicy mash caressed her senses. If it was not for the graceful poise she preferred to present herself with, there would have been a change of her licking her lips. Admittedly, she was quite hungry, but out of respect and courtliness she kept this to herself. Their feast was bound to begin before long anyway.
Following the question which was meant to distract them, the small fox was visibly amused by the response. If she had expected anyone to be a party animal with a craze for music then Syre, but to hear that she did not have much of a preference, nor that she had ever visited a concert in the first place... curious. "Okay, I see." She responded calmly regardless, not intending to bother her with this minor matter. However, it was soon that she recognized a chance. Perhaps one day, she'd show her the stupendous realm of symphonies, video game soundtracks and of course metal. How exciting!
"Maybe..." Cion continued playfully with a wink. Had they just found another opportunity for them to visit and spend time together? The answer naturally was 'yes', but she enjoyed maintaining the excitement by teasing and beating around the bush a little. Glee and fun were the cornerstone of their bond after all.

"Oh, we do remember that one. Though I think ma was more disappointed in you using such a sharp pair of scissors rather than ruining your bedsheets..."
Holly definitely knew how to get in trouble when she was younger! Mikemon was able to share a chuckle with the MeiCrackmon, stretching out his back as he stifled a yawn. His ear flicked at the remark about his age. Well, that was true enough - Holly didn't even know that Mikemon was a Demon Lord until recently. Thankfully, though, it seemed that the incident had passed and that there was little to worry about going forward.
As for what to do with Syre and Cion, the doctor simply gave a shrug of his shoulders. "Hard to say. Its just a bit awkward that the whole lot of us are here and home on the same day already. I mean, we'd eat, but part of me just wants to let the two of them hang out for a while, lest we end up feeling like a third wheel. I mean..."
The cat would tap the cloth ring around Holly's finger.
"...Cion's not the only one I need to meet." Music, it seemed, was another thing they could try and connect on in the future! Syre teased about Terminus, and Cion went right along with it, the two quite upbeat in the meantime.
"Maybe, indeed." Taking a glance at the curry - it was way too soon to do more than just give the pot a little stir - Syre would step back, and mull it over. "But I guess that's a matter of if we even get a place in Terminus. And... hm." Shoot, should Syre just come out and say it?
"... Honestly? Its just a bit odd having 'this' be the arrangement. Every couple of weeks, we organize one big date, but between it all we do is just toss a few messages at each-other? I spend a lot of time looking forward to it, and then its always over a lot sooner than I'd want it to be. And I'm not saying that we would need to see each-other every day, but... well. It'd be more convenient if we had our own place, right?"
Was that too forward?

”Well I did manage to cut myself pretty badly at some point, but my regeneration took care of it for me. Guess that goes to show how used to it I was at the time.”
Holly shook her head; it was a cute moment without that information really. But it wasn’t hard for both parents to figure out that she had something like that. The little mon always ended up getting hurt in one way or another but managed to get better before anything drastic happened.
”Well we can let them be then? I don’t want to force them to do things unless they want… to… do… o-oh”
Holly felt her face turn a bright shade of red, so bright in fact that it would show through her fur and she’d play around with the cloth ring on her finger. She hadn’t really taken the object off save to bathe and make food. She had to be very careful with it given it wasn’t metal but the care she put in doing so indicated it meant a lot to her.
”I… was going to tell you but… ah…”
Holly stammered and she felt her face grow even hotter; her ears flicking back and she’d glance nervously this way or that. Just how was she supposed to explain this? She hadn’t really the chance to talk about it to either parental figure.
”...Where do I even start…?”
