(Don`t Worry about that he`s not actually gonna try to kill him. he`s gonna try to force him to evolve by the thrill of a fight and experimente his reactions, something that he has a leftover from the original spirit Splintermon, at this point will be the fusion spirit(?) )
Steamdramon looked around himself, seeing the newborn digimon, so eager to fight. How brave these small digimon were,, before they realized they actually could get hurt and became cowards. Then he looked up to his right to the human called Tatsuya desperatly trying to protect his parner who wouldn`t even listen to him. "Oh, don`t worry Tatsuya. I came here to clear my name....amongst other things." Steamdramon said "If you dare put a thinger on him..." Charles said in Steamdramon`s mind. The digimon contained a laugh "But nobody is going to fight here. You`re coming with me first." Steamdramon stated as he jumped onto the bed and possibly after some struggling from a dodging Dodomon, Steamdramon picked it up and opened the window with his leg, then jumping out to the next building. He then turned to the human. "Oh, and Tatsuya? In case you want tot watch we`ll be in the roof from the building around 5 buildings from this one." Then Steamdramon prossigued with the kidnapping. |

Tatsuya watched, as Steamdramon quickly caught Dodomon, even though the small Digimon was resisting, jumping around the bed. Its efforts were in vain, however. After holding a grip onto Tatsuya's partner, who was screeching all the time -Let mwe go!, Charles's Digimon form then spoke to Tatsuya. So they were not going to fight there after all. Just before he was going to sigh in relief, the Spirit Wielder spoke again. "You are coming with me first" he told Dodomon, who was trying to escape. "Oh, and Tatsuya? In case you want tot watch we`ll be in the roof from the building around 5 buildings from this one". After that criptic endind, Charles jumped from the window, with Dodomon still in his hands.
-Oh, no, you don't! -the Kazan yelled, running to the atic. Since his house was in the highest part of the bulding he had easy access to the rooftops. It only took him a few seconds to open the door leading to the heights of the city. Tilting his head nervously, he saw Steamdramon jumping in a slow pace, as if it was waiting for him. Running towards it, he checked for possible routes to approach. Luckily, the buildings were all mashed together in that street, without almost any space between the walls, and he would make use of that.
Tatsuya forced his body to his maximum and started running as well, taking care for any possible gaps that weren't visible at first sight. As he approached the two Digimon, he checked his pocket. His Digivice was there, and unbeknownst to him, he could use it to track Dodomon's position, up to a range limit. Afraid to miss the pair, the Kazan rushed as much as possible, jumping over any fence that appeared.
Meanwhile Dodomon revolted furiosly to escape his captor grip. He was also attempting to bite Steamdramon so it would be easier to escape, but the continuous jumping made it really difficult to grip something with its jaws. It's efforts, however, paid off when, due to the gravity when falling, he slightly slipped from his captor's grip, and Dodomon made use of that fact to release himself.
-No! You idiot! -Tatsuya yelled in despair while following them, realising that there was a gap large enough for Dodomon to fall and kill itself. The Digimon didn't seem to realize, for he was watching Steamdramon. -"Knew it. Humans, bad people. And Digimon, bad too" -Dodomon thought, while falling. However, that would not be his fate: his Tamer wouldn't allow that.
-"Crap! Please, God, let me make it in time, I beg you..." -Tatsuya thought. Just as Dodomon was about to go in between the buildings, Tatsuya jumped from the border of one of them, and extending his arms, he managed to catch Dodomon. With a slight smile, he rotated his body and held Dorumon close to his chest in his arms, preparing to land. That way, his Digimon wouldn't get hurt when they reached the next building.
Although the landing was painful, to his trained body it just felt like the everyday training in Karate, as he was used to kissing the ground. When they stopped moving, Tatsuya looked at his partner, releasing his grip. -Are you okay? -he said. As an answer, Dorumon jumped away, without saying anything else. Although it did not look like that, he was startled. Why would that human help him? Now, he only had eyes for Steamdramon.
-You wanted to fwight, wight? Bwing it! -the little one said, unfazed by the difference in power. Tatsuya quickly got up as well, his Digivice vibrating again. One of the features seemed to have been toggled on by the following. It read "Digimon Analyzer". As he took the device, he pressed one of the buttons, and a picture of Dodomon appeared.
"Dodomon. Fresh level. Slime type Digimon, its attack is the Baby Bite".

As expected, the human followed him. What Steamdramon didn`t see coming was the Dodomon managing to slip out of his grip. For a moment, Steamdramon feared he had lost an experiment. However the tamer saved his digimon right in time, which was a start for Steamdramon. Then the Dodomon requested a fight, making Steamdramon let out a mean smile: the fresh digimon was so dumb it wouldn`t even try to run from a ancient trained assassin like himself. He too jumped to the place where the digimon and tamer where. "Hey pal, I just want to see how this works out. Information is all I need. I`m sure you are a beautiful "subject" as my creator would have called you. Besides, you don`t want to fight me. I died once, and even thought I can`t remember it, I don`t feel like going through it again." Steamdramon said, but he quickly continued before giving the digimon a chance to react and escape his plan "But, if you insist...Bug Bite!" Steamdramon jumped against the other digimon opening his mouth. If he successefully bit it, his saliva would infect it and give him time to run some more testing. |

Tatsuya was amazed by the tiny Digimon's courage. He was brave, that was for sure, fighting an opponent much bigger and stronger than himself. Initially he had no reasons to think so, but then he realized that a fresh guy out of the egg had no chance against a hybrid between human and Digital Monster, and Charles seemed that he had already been in more battles. -Dodomon... If you really want to fight him, I'll be with you, 'kay pal? I'm not letting you go alone -Tatsuya stated, standing next to his partner. -Do what you want. Help me or lweave me hewe, no difference -as he had been doing since he was born, Dodomon showed his indifference towards his Tamer's actions, to which Tatsuya replied with a slight sigh.
Steamdramon then talked, after a few seconds of silence. "Hey pal, I just want to see how this works out. Information is all I need. I`m sure you are a beautiful "subject" as my creator would have called you. Besides, you don`t want to fight me. I died once, and even thought I can`t remember it, I don`t feel like going through it again. But if you insist... Bug Bite!" -the Spirit user said, launching himself towards Dodomon. However, being the purple digimon such small in size, it would be quite difficult to land a direct bite.
Even though he had just been born, Tatsuya's partner proved to be full of energy. As fast as his round body allowed to, the Digimon jumped to the side when the attack was going to land. It was just as he had expected: his size might prove to be an actual advantage, contrary to what Tatsuya had previously thought. Unfazed by the display, Dodomon continued the battle with a movement of his own.
Jumping slightly, Dodomon opened his big mouth as he propelled itself towards Steamdramon's leg. -Bwaby bite! -the Fresh Digimon shouted, closing its jaws. Tatsuya could only wonder if that last attack would hit, as the most predictable action would be taking the opening left by Charles's missed attack. Without hesitation, he moved closer to them, just in case he had to attack Steamdramon as well. He did not know if a karate move would hurt, but if Dodomon got in trouble after that move it was certainly worth trying.

With high speed, the fresh digimon dodged Steamdramon, causing him to fall into the ground. Without waiting Dodomon advanced on Steamdramon. "Ha... fast but careless. Tipical fresh. Weapon Fall." Steamdramon commented and he used his attack to create a spear out of the ground and pointed it at Dodomon, who at the moment was flying towards him with his mouth wide open. Could it be this easy? His kind was usually better than this, perhaps it had been a mistake to come after this one. Afterall, this digimon seemed ill-minded as it wouldn`t please his own tamer. Small folk like that fresh digimon should know what they did and when a fight was too much for them to handle.

As Dodomon flew towards Steamdramon, the Spirit user created a weapon using one of his attacks, which was a spear. After a sassy comment about Dodomon's recklessness due to being a Fresh level, he called out for another attack, "Weapon fall", as he pointed the spear towards the attacker. The little Digimon gasped, and closed his mouth as fast as he could. Afterwards he made an attempt to lower his head (well, his entire body actually), effectively modifying his flight course. His reaction, however, wasn't quick enough, and the upper part of his head was hurt by the spear, leaving a cut that revealed the area the spear had injured.
Although hurt, Dodomon landed on Steamdramon, who was on the ground at that moment. Now that he was at close range, it was his chance to try and attack the digimon. -Bwaby Bite!!!! Just as Tatsuya began wondering what other tricks would he pull out of his sleeve, he realized he could try and use the Digimon Analyzer on their attacker. Taking his device, he pointed it at the foe's position, and after a brief moment, the description could be read.
"Steamdramon. Rookie level Digimon, skilled in asassination. Its known attacks are the Bug Bite and the Weapon Fall".
Rookie? What did that mean?. By pressing a few buttons, he managed to highlight the "Rookie" text in the analyzer screen, which featured a photo of the enemy as well. After selecting it, a horizontal scale appeared, named "Digimon Level". Highlighted were the levels "Fresh" and "Rookie", in green and red respectively. In between he could read "In-Training", and afterwards, "Rookie", "Champion", "Ultimate" and "Mega". Beyond, there were three question marks.
-"Darn it! Does this mean he is two levels above Dodomon? He stands no chance!" -Tatsuya thought, nervous. -"What can I do... What can I do...?" He did not have time to wonder about it, for the battle was still on course. If he wanted to help Dodomon, he'd have to think of something, and fast, but he also needed to make sure his partner stayed safe.

(OOC: Your forgot "Steam Burst" on the digivice analiser. Also "Weapon Fall" is the attack that produced the spear) This kid might be dumb, but he was also quite fast. He almost completly dodged his spear and even managed to bash into Steamdramon. Then it bit Steamdramon. The biting hurt a bit, but it was fresh lvl bite. Nothing too harmfull. Steamdramon raised his spear, preparing to stab the digimon, while he holded him with the other hand. To Steamdramon there was one thing missing however: the human`s power. He was going bored of this experiment and wanted the final step to come to be at last. "Hey human. Quit playing with the digivice and come help your partner, before I turn him back into a digi-egg. It would be a pity to have him expirience deleting before you even made him reach in-training..." Steamdramon said and he pushed down the spear to slice the fresh digimon. Holding on tight, there was no chance Dodomon could escape. There was only one way to save him, and that was just what Steamdramon wanted...

Dodomon managed to land his first attack on the enemy, but it was to no avail, as Steamdramon quickly tightened his grip on the little Digimon again. Without much of an effort, the Rookie Digimon just raised the spear, preparing to end the fight at that given moment by impaling Tatsuya's partner.
At that time, however, the brown-haired teen's body moved on its own. Just as Steamdramon was going to start talking once again, Tatsuya was approaching. ""Hey human. Quit playing with the digivice and come help your partner, before I turn him back into a digi-egg. It would be a pity to have him expirience deleting before you even made him reach in-training..." -Steamdramon said with a slight smile as he drove down the weapon.
Dodomon closed his eyes, awaiting death right after being born, a sight his partner couldn't handle. As the lance was about to rip him, Tatsuya grabbed the weapon making use of the reflexes he had developed thanks to his martial art training.
-Let him go, Charles -he said, glaring at Steamdramon. Afterwards, he quickly snatched his partner back from the enemy's hand (OOC: dunno if this could be considered god-modding, it's just so Dodomon digivolves) and backing off with two jumps back.
Dodomon watched the human holding him, his mouth slightly opened. Why would he help him? It made no sense. -"Human beings awe bad. Digi-human pwoves it" -told himself. When they were at a safe distance, Dodomon shook his body, attempting to release himself again. Tatsuya let him jump to the ground, and they faced Steamdramon once more.
-Dodomon... he is too strong for you -Tatsuya said, looking towards his companion. -I'm going to bweat him! I dwon't cawe what you say! All humans, bad... I will gwow stwong so they nevew huwt Digimon again! -Dodomon replied, furiously, although since he was in Fresh stage it looked funny instead of serious.
-Look, I am tired of this. If I wanted you dead, I could've let him finish you off! So, please, trust me, just this once. Then, you can leave if you want to: I'm not gonna force you to stay with me -Tatsuya answered back, a bit saddened. Why was it that his Digimon was so hateful towards human beings? He couldn't understand it, but he was sure that Dodomon would ignore him and just go attack blindly again.
Fate proved him wrong, however, as the purple fur-ball turned. -Mean it? Dodomon, fwee? -the tiny one asked. -Sure, if you want to. But for now, let's focus on him. We'll have to make it work out, somehow! If we cooperate, I'm sure we can do this.
Just as Dodomon started thinking about it, Tatsuya's device started glowing. Dodomon turned towards Steamdramon, as he started glowing again, with a serious gaze on his small face. The human read the letters on the screen: "Digivolution".
The light turned stronger as Dodomon was surrounded by it.
-Dodomon shinka...!
The tiny body expanded, losing its skin and becoming a data grid. It acquired four paws and more developed ears. His fur then reformed around him as the bubble of light exploded, and a new Digimon was born!
-...Dorimon! -the new form shouted, next to Tatsuya.

(OOC: Yes, you can. Also, what you did is not godmodding. Godmodding is being too powerfull, and what you did is perfeclty reasonable. I would be carefull about autohitting though, you keep writting down your attacks hit my character. Theorically all you can do is say the attack is approaching (and by attack, I mean any action which my character would have the chance to counter), not actually hitting. I don`t really mind at the moment, it`s giving dinamic to the fight, but there are people who might be less tolerant. By the way, OOC stuff should always be written either in the beggining or in end of the posts. Not in the middle of them) Just as Steamdramon expected, the tamer went straight into action, by grabbing his spear and snitching Dodomon away. Steamdramon stood, ready to strike again. He would achieve his goal. Then the human struggled to contain his digimon from charging on Steamdramon again. Finnaly some reason came to Dodomon and Steamdramon could see a light coming out of Tatsuya`s digivice and Dodomon. "Finnaly." Steamdramon said, cracking a smile. This is just what he wanted. Dodomon digivolved into Dorimon. A fine evolution and Steamdramon knew his creator would be pleased. He jumped once more, ready for the final piece of the test. How strong could this in-training really be? "Bug Bite!" He shouted, ready for the assault and opening his mouth as he fel on the now evolved digimon. |

Much to Tatsuya's surprise, Steamdramon laughed, while muttering one word, "Finally", with a smile on its face, as if it had been awaiting the change on Dodomon to happen. Did that mean that he knew that Tatsuya's partner would evolve when given that specific case of understanding between the two? That did not matter at that time, anyway. The spiky haired teen analyzed Dorimon fast. "Dorimon. In-Training. His flat snout can be used as a weapon. His attacks are Tackle, and Metal Gun, which fires up to three metallic, rounded bullets". That was the description given.
He did not have time to think about it anymore, as Steamdramon launched itself again against Dodomon. However, this time Tatsuya had a plan. Using the device to communicate the moves to Dorimon, the Digimon prepared his attack. -"First, use Metal Gun. He'll have a hard time avoiding the first one, since he is flying towards us. Then, move to the left, and fire another projectile" -Tatsuya thought, the D-3 transforming it into code, and sent it to Dorimon.
The small Digimon smiled as he did as told. This time, they were reversing Steamdramon's strategy, with a little addition to it. -Metal Gun! -Dorimon shouted as he released a metallic projectil from his nostril at high speed. Afterwards, he rolled to the left, just as he had been indicated, and fired another projectile towards the fierce Rookie level that had been conducting, unbeknownst to them, a little experiment during their battle.
Tatsuya was very happy that Dorimon had actually listened to him that time, thought he doubt that its attitude would stay like that for much longer, so they would try to finish that as soon as possible. With another command, Dorimon backed away from his position, closing the window for an immediate counter-attack at close range, although he would still be near if Steamdramon pulled a mid-ranged move out of its assassin sleeve.
-"Great. Let's see if our moves are fast enough to impact on that guy.

The three projectiles hit hard on Steamdramon. He fel to the side, rolling on the ground until he reached a Wall. Then he quickly stood, cracking yet another smile. The experiment had succeded. "Congraculations, "subject". You did wonderfully. I`m sure my creator will love this data. Who knows, maybe one day you`ll be part of our Kimeramon-XXM! How does that sound? With that speed of yours, we could make use of you, when you grow legs of course. And you human, once you proven our choice wise. Bonding with a human will Grant us strenght to live on... But for now, you`ve earned your rest and your friend." STeamdramon commented. Then he began to shine and, in a moment, Charles was back, lying down and breathing heavily. "I`m so sorry. I didn`t want this to happen...It seems he has been toying around with me... I...I...I...I have no real control. Except for that bit...Perhaps? Tatsuya? How does a deal feel to you? I`ll help you raise your digimon, and in turn, you help me find the rest of the spirits."

Tatsuya and Dorimon both screamed "OH RIGHT!" when the projectiles hit Steamdramon, making him roll until he hit a nearby wall, next to a door which led to a staircase so you could access the building they were standing on. Their joy did not last that much, as their foe stood up, featuring another smile on his face. Did that mean that they were still not powerful enough? Would Dorimon's newfound strength prove not to be enough?
Much to his surprise, Steamdramon just congratulated them again, with criptic sentences. "Congratulations, "subject". You did wonderfully. I`m sure my creator will love this data. Who knows, maybe one day you`ll be part of our Kimeramon-XXM! How does that sound? With that speed of yours, we could make use of you, when you grow legs of course. And you human, once you proven our choice wise. Bonding with a human will grant us strenght to live on... But for now, you`ve earned your rest and your friend." With those words said, Steamdramon's body began to glow, as he fell once again to the ground. The Digimon's body dispelled, leaving behind Charles's original body, intact.
Even though Dorimon was reluctant to aid their attacker, Tatsuya knew that, behind the Spirit, was a human boy. Rushing to his aid for the second time in the same night, the eighteen year old boy helped Charles stand up. As the younger teen realized what had just happened, he quickly started apologizing in every way he could. "I`m so sorry. I didn`t want this to happen...It seems he has been toying around with me... I...I...I...I have no real control. Except for that bit..."
-Don't worry about it man. It seems your story was true, he seems to be pulling the strings behind ya. However, the situation helped Dodomon digivolve into Dorimon, so that's alright, at least for me -Tatsuya said with a half smile.
Charles seemed to think for a bit. If they had the power to stop Steamdramon once, then maybe... "Tatsuya? How does a deal feel to you? I`ll help you raise your digimon, and in turn, you help me find the rest of the spirits." Why would he want his help? He was clearly more powerful than him at that point. However, he then remembered something Charles had told him before: if he got the other Spirits, Steamdramon would not control him that easily.
Plus, he seemed to have more experience than Tatsuya, something that would help him understand his Digimon a lot better. However, there was a clear problem, one that currently ran on four legs and was slightly bigger than a soccer ball.
-I dwon't like you, Digi-human guy. So dwon't come closew unless you have a vewy good weason, ow I will be mowe than happy to fight again -Dorimon said, glaring at Charles. Tatsuya looked at his guest.
-You've heard him, dude, and he has his reasons, as you can understand. Also, I promised him he could leave after this, which he'll probably do in a few minutes. However... -he said, taking out his D-Terminal -you can call me whenever you want to.
This is the D-Terminal ID, I believe, so register it and feel free to call by someday. I, at least, will be happy to help you finding the Spirits if I have enough time. Just don't try to kill us again, okay? Because if you are going to try to trick us, it's not going to work, understood? In turn, if I ever have a question I can't answer myself, I'll entrust it to you.
It was, indeed a good deal, one that would be interesting in the future.

"Don`t worry Tatsuya. I understand. It`s a good proposal, I`ll take it." Charles said, standing up once more. He felt pain. Would Steamdramon ever allow him to make friends. Even the assassin had to admit allies might come in handy. "I think I`ll just go back to my apartment." "The next time, don`t insult me in front of a newborn." the digimon complained in his head. Charles didn`t reply. As he walked away, he could feel an enormous weight upon himself, and didn`t get any smaller when he was climbing the stairs. He didn`t have the strenght to reply, he was really feeling down. "Why? Why don`t do you just take over all the time and use me like your little toy all you want rather than causing this pain, this troubles?" Charles finnaly asked, angry "One day, I might just tell you. One day..." Steamdramon replied Charles knew what that ment. It wasn`t going to easy to regain his life, as he would need to find the entire spirit of Steamdramon: his creator. Charles lied down on the bed, hopping Steamdramon wouldn`t use his body again that night so that at least he could sleep, even if that ment only having nightmares about the deeds of Steamdramon. |

Tatsuya smiled as Charles acepted his proposition. The eighteen year old put his hands on the back of his head, and backed away. It had been a long day: not only had he moved to his new home, but he had met his Digimon partner and had "won" their first battle, together. -Well then, Charles. I guess this is goodbye for now, pal. I'll hope you learn to control Steamdramon soon enough! As I told you, call by if you need somethin' -Tatsuya waved goodbye to his new "colaborator".
Afterwards, he went to Dorimon's side, and crouched so he could talk better to the little Digimon. -Well Dorimon, it's been heck of a day, so let's go home, okay? There we will decide if you want to leave or not. Dorimon started smiling.-So does that mwean we won? As Tatsuya nodded, Dodomon's evolution started jumping, happy. -Yay, yay, we won! We defeated mean Digi-human! -just as he was hopping around, light enveloped him again. As it faded, Dodomon was back to its original form.
-Oh... I'm hungwy... -the purple fur-ball said, as he hoped next to Tatsuya. After waving goodbye again to Charles, the duo began undoing the way on the roofs so they could get back to Tatsuya's place. Silence reigned over them until they reached the door that served as an entrance to the Kazan's home. He left Dodomon alone, who just sat on the couch. Quickly, the teen made two sandwiches, recalling that Digimon ate almost anything.
When he got back, sandwiches in hand, he gave one to the tiny Digimon as he sat and began eating his own. As Dodomon munched through the bread slices, Tatsuya talked to him again. -So, tell me. Will you go now, little one? -the new Tamer asked his partner, who was on the verge of leaving. If Dodomon decided to go away, then he would have to forget about all the things Charles had told him. But would he be able to forget Digimon? He doubted that was possible.
Much to his surprise, however, his partner spoke again with an answer he couldn't have guessed.-I still don't lwike you. You humans, bad people. Digi-human proves. Howevew, you can help me get stwongew. So I want to stay, but you awe not my Tamew, ok? Dodomon, fwee -the little fur-ball said, still munching his sandwich. Tatsuya smiled widely -That's great! So we are a team now. I really hope you can get to like me, Dodomon.
-Nevew. I will nevew be fwiends with a human being! I hate you all! I will just stay because you can help me gwow, nothing else! -Dodomon said in a dangerous tone that still looked comical because he was still a Fresh Digimon.
As Tatsuya sighed, he started wondering about his next adventures with Dodomon. His journey had just begun...
