Just a Kuwaga Blade card?
Honestly, it seemed like a decent enough idea - even if it felt just a bit like barely tipping one's toes into the water. Everyone else seemed keen enough to back up on the idea, so Connor left the floor to the rest of the group, carefully observing the rest of the room with the mirror.
"Hm..."
Bellamy had a decent question: was there anything in the room that the group could use, otherwise? Lightly tipping the mirror, the odd human looked to the sides of the room. Like the floors above, there was Digital Writing - obviously not useful for their purposes - but on closer inspection, there was something they could potentially use on the far left and far right of the room. As if built to support the walls themselves, they could see the outer halves of pillars build into the room, effectively creating circular sections of wall they could use for cover. Getting there would be tricky, but for an otherwise empty room, any bit of cover would help.
Relaying that information to the group, Connor then turned his mirror to follow that sparking blade. Would it be threatening enough to draw the attention of either beast? It would be effective at flying through, right between the machines, and if they were to draw cannons at each-other, it would prove quite effective -
Nope, nope, scratch that. The white-armored Machinedramon caught sight of the metallic construct, and instead of moving to aim a weapon, instead stepped up and gave a snap, intending to catch and crush it within its jaws. The black-armored Machinedramon, meanwhile, had gotten up from his post, and was now hulking over in the direction of the upwards ramp, following the trail of the BladeKuwagamon right back towards the group.
"... Coulda been worse."

No objections? All well and good. He figured that, concerning the state of the tower dwellers they seen so far, including the BishopChessmon, reduced to being as nothing more than a obedient android that Connor could alter on merely a whim, they'd simply be forced to follow their AI to a T. Up to and including obeying commands to blow intruders up the moment they set foot within their crosshairs, structures and allies be damned. Plenty of time to glance at the pillars they could possibly use for cover had things gone pear shaped.
Oh, if only were that easy.
The initially hopeful look on Kenny's face slowly faded away as he and Skadi peered within the mirror. And that sickening crunch sound as the white Machinedramon effortlessly grabbed onto the MetalKuwagamon's entire body and crushed it beneath their claws, data flowing out of it like dry sand, was enough to make the two wince. And just to rub salt into the wound, the young man could feel his heart sink way into his toes as his eyes lay upon the other Machinedramon, now making their way towards the group slowly, but surely.
...he screwed everything up again, didn't he?
"Oh no..." was the only words that he could get out of his mouth at this point as he put his hand to his forehead, the other tightly clutching onto his D-Nexus, as it's screen, and subsequently, Skadi, started to glow once more, this time as the SilverGrademon started to change form, this time into her Mega form, the Winter Goddess herself, Kheimon. The Godlike entity herself had a look of concern on her face, but she turned down to glance at Kenny for a brief moment.
"Don't work yourself too hard over this, Kenny." She responded quietly, enough so only the rest of the group could hear, "We at least drew only one of them over to us so far. If we take that down quickly, we might be able to handle the other perfectly fine. Please don't beat yourself up over this." Already, her free palm glowed a bright blue as she slowly lifted it up.
Already with tears in his eyes, Kenny wiped a few away as he smiled at Skadi, "Thanks, man. Just... I just hope the others don't hate me for screwing this up for them so badly." It was hard to ignore the wavering tone in his voice. His perfectionist nature had once again taken the wheel, and anything less than perfect would be a disaster for him.
Already he was kicking himself internally.
Meanwhile, as they talked, a giant glacier, larger than the size of the approaching Machinedramon's body, had formed over their head. With just a quick downward swing of her hand, the glacier would go into freefall, threatening to crush and pin them onto the floor with relative ease. No shield or barrier, nor defences would protect it if it didn't react in time to this sudden assault from above.
Plenty of time for the others to rain hell upon them.
Skadi digivolves into Kheimon and starts off the battle by attacking with Hailstorm Crash, aiming to damage and pin the black Machinedramon into the floor, buying the team enough time to follow up with their own attacks.
Hailstorm Crash (RAM Upgrade): From the heavens, Skadi calls down a giant icicle from above, larger than the selected opponent’s natural size, and directly smashes it into the enemy to deal massive damage. This attack is able to destroy shields and bypass defensive buffs and passives. This attack also does 50% of the damage to Super Mega shield users (but does not break it) (3 post cooldown)

Silence’s eyes narrowed a little bit as the fact that the kuwaga blade card was not effective in the slightest. It drew the attention of both; one to the card’s effect itself and the other to where they had come from. She’d grit her teeth and consider for a moment her options. Together she had reasoned that she could of hit the both with a good spread of buster beam. But now with them separated like this she didn’t think it was a good idea to just have the two only get hit by the fallout. Machinedramon were some of the strongest digimon on the face of the digital world and they’d likely shrug a minor blow like that off. So she had to think about this for a moment. Anything lower than their level might as well be ineffective or at least half assed. But now with Skadi going mega and Mae at that level she had to question herself if she should go to the same or save it for later. They still didn’t know what lay beyond and if they went all out… She’d grit her teeth and tighten her hand around her sword. ‘All in’ wasn’t something she condoned right at the moment; she had to be careful because they just simply didn’t have enough information otherwise. So super mega would be saved for later if they needed it. The shutmon twisted the handle on her sword for a moment before her form took that light of digivolution; taking that of cresgarurumon. Barely a second had passed before her swords slammed home into their scabbards… And in the next instant she leapt forward at a speed that most eyes couldn’t track. Her target being the machinedramon afar that was currently wide open. Taking a bite at that kuwagamon. She knew that the others would likely handle the one closest to them. So there was literally no point in not taking advantage of this. Her target was the machinedramon’s chest; either blade singing out of their scabbards and being brought into a cross slash. Looking to bite deep into the machinedramon. Even if this machinedramon had some kind of damage reduction of the physical kind they’d find that her swords didn’t follow normal rules… Log: -Silence digivolves to cresgarurumon -Silence uses Wolf Flash fang to close the distance between her and the far Machinedramon. Passives: Soul-Bound|combat passive: Rather than wielding the stereotypical glaive that cresgarurumon's are known for. This digimon instead wields a powerful set of swords. This swords are naturally imbued with energy of the digimon's data. Rather than being a physical sort of damage, these swords deal energy damage and are not affected by reduction that would affect normal blades.
Full Metal|Combat Passive: This digimon's body looks to be heavily armored but in fact is simply metal given form; reducing all incoming damage by 10% without reducing it's speed. Move: Wolf Flash Fang: This digimon sheathes either of it's swords into their respective scabbards. After a moment the digimon leaps towards a target at a speed that's hard to track with the naked eye. At this instant it draws both of it's blades in a vicious slash, aiming at the target's chest. The concussive force of these blades are immense and the damage from this attack follows suit. Target must be within a hundred feet for this attack to be usable. Five post cooldown. So, in the foresight that the group had about this plan, there was a chance that it would fail, and...Yeah, Mae didn't expect them to be smart enough to grab and crush the poor BladeKuwagamon. There was some solace in a lack of feeling among the more machinery-based Digimon.
...
But they had a problem in the form of a Machinedramon hulking their way. It was thusly good that Mae had had her Knowledge Stream prepared and ready to fire. This was going to absolutely wreck any stealth they had, but...
This was also going to at least get the process of ridding themselves of the machines. Mae would emerge from cover, and fired the Knowledge Stream. The beam soared for the Machinedramon barreling for them, and she'd open a portal as the beam neared. It'd go within the portal, and exit at an angle to the side of the critter!
A tried and true strategy of hers. Misdirection. Relevant Passives: Fatebreaker [RAM Upgrade Giga]: This entity has the same mysterious foresight that a Rasielmon would possess. As such, Mae has the ability to divine a potentially infinite number of futures, depending on the level she's at. There are, however, limits to her foresight. For one, the lower the level, the more muddied, limited, and opaque the visions will be. The higher, the clearer. Furthermore, in combat, this is only really applicable as a way to warn herself and others of various attacks. Whether she can dodge them or not even with this is entirely on her. Should she successfully dodge an attack she had a vision of, the chances she can dodge the next one are lower. Basically she can’t spam this unless she wants the hurt.
Elemental Connection: Every three turns, Mae can apply one of five elements to her attack, changing it’s properties and/or appearance to suit the opponent she’s facing. They go as follows: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light.
Instinctual Supplement: Fatebreaker ties into this passive--Her foresight is amplified greatly in this form, enabling Mae to have above-average reaction times to a LOT of things. Basically, she’s greater at dodging and/or countering attacks than a good deal of her other forms.
Mae uses her usual combo of Knowledge Stream and Spatial Relocation to attack the approaching Machinedramon.
Spatial Relocation: An ability that's best described as Mae opening a portal or two. One serves as an entry point and another as an exit. The purpose these portals serve is manyfold. Moving long distances in a brief period of time? Check. Extending the range (and placement) of your attacks by firing them through the portals? Check. This has a three turn cooldown, and while Mae is able to chain the following moves into this one (Namely Knowledge Stream, Holy Bullet, Divine Punishment and Sefer Raziel), they are given an additional turn of cooldown. This move's cooldown also goes up by a turn. The portals have a maximum range of 700 feet.
Knowledge Stream: Mae combines all five of the elements that she can use for her Elemental Connection passive to fire a beam that can best be described as pure, concentrated unmaking. As all five of the elements from that passive are present, this attack...has no element. It simply is. Three turn cooldown.

So, there were those structural pillars for cover at least. Bellamy would remember those if combat became necessary.
Oh no... it seems that the BladeKuwagamon drone had drawn the attention of the Machinedramon. And Kenny seemed to be pretty thunderstruck by that.
"Don't worry, we've got this." Colin reassured him, letting him know that he didn't think any less of him for this setback. "If anything you've at least given us a way to proceed here." Better this than to be paralyzed by the two Machinedramon.
General combat seemed to begin, with Skadi, Silence and Mae joining in the attack. Luke and Bellamy seemed eager to follow, awaiting their digivolution, but Colin seemed to have second thoughts. Not out of cowardice, but because of a principle of necessary force. Their comrades had already launched a strong attack, so he felt the need to wait and watch for what happened next.
"Luke, Bells, I think they've probably got this, let's hold back for now." Colin told his partners. While Bellamy seemed a bit miffed by the fact that he couldn't get out there and lay some hurt down on those other digimon, Luke seemed to agree with his partner's view.
"Alright. We'll hold back in case we're needed." he said. "Best to hold something in reserve, right, guys?"
"Oh, yeah, right!" Bellamy concurred, suddenly realizing that if they went out there to fight, there'll be no digimon left to protect Colin, Kenny or Connor if something struck them from behind. With that, the Impmon kept an eye out, making sure nothing would threaten them from the rear, or indeed, any other angle.
Luke and Bellamy hold back in reserve for now, their priority is to take care of the humans. They make no combat moves.

"Now, now, this is no time to lose your confidence."
The Wizardmon gave a sigh, shaking his head as he tilted his hat down. "This is hardly an exact science as it is, anyway. If your first idea doesn't work, move onto the next. You'll have time to feel bad about it later." Right, this was hardly the time to get distracted, or properly console the tamer about the mistake. They had two high-power threats to deal with: Silence went right for the far, white Machinedramon, while Mae and Skadi attempted to pin down the closer, black Machinedramon.
Of course, such an aggressive method of action drew the Black Machinedramon's attention right towards Skadi, Mae, and the ramp where the main group was taking shelter. An impressively massive hunk of ice appeared above the mechanical monster's frame, the Machinedramon having little choice but to grin and bear it, the glacier practically breaking across the monster's back. Even if the next attack wasn't redirected, it likely would have struck home, anyway: held down by the ice, there was little the metal monster could do to avoid being drilled by the side!
... Oh, but if only that was enough. The beast was damaged, yes, but with an impressive mechanical whirr, the Machinedramon would root his feet against the floor, stand up, and aim its cannons right for the entrance to the ramp. With where they were right now, Mae, Skadi, and the entire reserve group were in the line of fire for this next attack, an impressive amount of light and energy radiating from both cannons.
"... Glad you stuck around in reserve. One shield won't be enough for this." Connor adjusted his glasses, calmly assessing the situation...
... As the primed, powerful Giga Cannon would roar forth, an impressively powerful echo radiating through the entire floor. Silence, meanwhile, went to challenge a Machinedramon by herself. She might have thought her speed was a bit difficult to track, but for the well-calibrated eyes of a machine? Her trajectory and movements were wide open. And as Silence kicked forward in that last kick, she'd find that her swords found their target, digging a bit into the hull of the Machinedramon's chest. The powerful concussive force would radiate through the monster's hull...
... But it wasn't enough to cut through. And it wasn't enough to keep the beast from responding. Its right claw would open up, and shoot forward, in an attempt to grip right around the CresGarurumon's own midsection. If the 'palm' hit, the three metal nails would close like a vice, intent on keeping Silence held tight in its grip, and lifting her off the ground to remove the power of her footing.
That could get dangerous, if it worked.

Kenny was taking this way too hard.
Unfortunate. It was always tragic when a plan thought well placed ended in error, but this wasn't exactly a great time to allow it to stab you in the heart. "Everybody makes mistakes at one point or another. Nobody is perfect in this regard. What matters now is that you get to your feet and keep going despite that. For Skadi's sake. Such is the onus of being a tamer."
A good quote. But not anything that'd go and stop the next attack, which was an impressively tough-seeming Giga Cannon. Something that was -also- a constant between every Machinedramon (or Mugendramon, as some may refer to them).
Fortunately, Mae had two ways of dealing with this.
One involved activating her Burst Mode. The other...Was far more simple but far riskier. While she didn't have much in the way of cards, not just yet...she held one that was odd in appearance but could save someone in a pinch. If it actually worked.
So. She activated (or was it swiped?) that. A bubble large enough to cover her and the whole line of fire would appear and tank the shot head-on. Would it break through? Or would it hold? Relevant Passives: Fatebreaker [RAM Upgrade Giga]: This entity has the same mysterious foresight that a Rasielmon would possess. So her blades weren’t sharp enough to bite through the armor of the machinedramon. She should have figured that would be the case; maybe she should have gone with a stronger ability or did some kind of better set up. She couldn’t afford to let this machinedramon control the fight either. So these things were fast too? The cresgarurumon threw herself backwards, narrowly avoiding the vice grip of the beast. The claws clanking together just above her as she rolled backwards. Coming up with either sword held in reverse. She didn’t want to imagine what would have happened if the other had managed to do that. She was a bit protective of her midsection ever since that fight with the D-reaper in the dark area. She’d snort a bit and jerk one of her arms to the side; the blade held in her right hand suddenly blossomed with energy along it’s entire length. She took a moment to read the stance of the machinedramon in front of her and without much else said she’d make a slash from one side. A billowing wave of energy arching forward to crash against where her blades had sank in earlier. If the beast had hard armor all she had to do was whittle down it’s defenses to the point where it didn’t matter and hit them again with a stronger ability. "Heard about you guys before. Big. Strong. Tough. Bit slow. You chatty by any chance or do I have to dance with a partner that doesn't speak?"She doubted that the machine in front of her actually could talk. If it could well.. maybe it'd say something to dissuade her or maybe she'd learn a thing or two while they beat the ever living crap out of one another. Honestly the last time she had a good fight was back in the tower. She didn't count the time she nearly died as a good fight and she really wasn't looking to do that here either. Log: -Silence avoided the vice grip by throwing herself backwards. -Silence activated ‘The seventh key’ and targeted the machinedramon’s chest with an empowered basic attack wave.
Move: [RAM UPGRADE GIGA]The Seventh Key: A Gift from her last iteration, for unlocking the potential that she was capable of. This ability is naturally represented by digital coding on various parts of her body, one on each of her arms, legs[Dragon, Space, Sword, Silence] and a seven pronged key on her chest in light blue Luminescent pattern. This ability allows her to draw forth a saberk unlike any other, one that bleeds into others of it's kind to strengthen them if they are present while also allowing a blade of it's own use if she deigns so. This saberk is capable of being any weapon, capable of shooting out energy waves or projectiles and lasts until broken or dismissed. To enhance a present saberk she must invoke this ability separately. The range on the energy blasts/waves differs level to level for melee 15/50/150/300/1000 and ranged weapons 30/100/300/600/N/A respectively [Measurements done in feet]. Additionally if a physical weapon is present on a form this saberk variant may empower them instead. Cooldown: WFF: [⅕]

Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on Jul 27, 2020 11:19:00 GMT
It wasn't fun to be a perfectionist like Kenny, especially in a situation where it looked where even one mistake risked, as Wizardmon put it, putting someone 'in the path of four cannons', and would you honestly blame him for thinking that way? Thankfully, the reassurance from Mae, Colin and the Wizardmon did make him smile a little, and all he could do was look at them gratefully as he wiped away a tear, "Thanks, guys."
Yes, it would be hard to stop the tears, but that would take some time. The Wizardmon was right. They had something else to deal with.
With Silence now opting to distract the far-away Machinedramon directly head-to-head and Luke & Bellamy opting to stay with the group, this left them with the other Machinedramon - who had fired off a massive Giga Cannon at the rest of them. No prizes for guessing what would happen had anyone got enveloped within these massively dangerous beams.
Mae already had the right idea - fortifying the group with a massive bubble shield to try and protect the group from the incoming blast. But Connor's words rang deep within Skadi's head. The two would look at each other and nodded once, before the Kheimon, brandishing her trusty battle axe, would quickly jump near Mae.
The moment she landed next to the Rasielmon, she'd spin her axe at blinding speeds, and over the bubble would form a glowing blue shield, a cold aura radiating from within it that was enough to leave goosebumps on the skin. Had this little gambit worked, not only would the massive plasma cannon dissipate, but a massive shockwave would fire back at the Machinedramon itself - carrying the same amount of high-powered energy that it sought to use against the team.
Given a bit of time to breathe even as she span her axe like crazy, Skadi would glance over to Mae with a small smile, "Figured you needed a little helping hand back there. Can't risk even one of us being blown to smithereens now, can we?"
Skadi opts to stay with the group and help fortify Mae's bubble shield, by way of combining it with her own attack, Reflection, to stop the Giga Cannon in it's tracks, firing off a powerful shockwave of equal power back to the White Machinedramon - along with any nasty effects that cannon may have had on them.
Protection: Skadi spins her axe rapidly, generating a light blue shield to protect herself and whoever’s in front of her, cool to the touch for allies, punishing for enemies. When struck by a non-OPT attack, Skadi nullifies the attack and fires off a powerful shockwave from where the attack came, dealing the same amount of damage that attack would have hit her with, along with any secondary effects she would have suffered had she gotten hit. A Super Mega attack breaks the shield, but damage is instead reduced by 50%. (4 post cooldown)

Post by Colin, Luke & Bellamy on Jul 30, 2020 13:36:47 GMT
Combat began in full earnest here, and it was no longer within prudence to delay it any further. Colin felt the need to evolve his partners to their highest forms, and so he did. The young man focused all his energy into his digivice, preparing for the ultimate burst of energy, then launched it to his partners.
From the light, Luke and Bellamy transformed. From Luke's Elecmon form, he grew quadruple in height, but mostly retained the bodyshape he had as an Elecmon. Only now, he resembled a rabbit-angel equipped with a spear and impressive looking cape. This was his Super-Mega form - BanchouCherubimon.
And as for Bellamy, he evolved to the point that he looked like a cowboy made of guns. This was his Super-Mega form - AvengeKidmon.
But still, they would not take to the offensive just yet. They had attained these forms so they could defend their partners and friends from the blasts of the battle in front of them. For now, they stood in front of the humans, ready to defend them from any wayward fire that got through the first lines of defense.
So far, it was hopeful that Mae would be able to intercept the cannon attack with her bubble defense, but Luke and Bellamy were prepared to act in case something got through. As much as they wanted to use their new forms to bust these bastards, they knew they had a mission here, and a major objective was to defend the humans at all costs.
All the while though, Colin watched on with nervousness. He could tell that this would be a very, very dangerous mission from the get-go, and given what he had promised to his elder sister, well, he knew she wouldn't approve of him remaining here in this situation. But, for now, he'd have to at least try.
"Keep an eye out, Luke, Bells." he told his partners. As much as they wanted to join the fray against the Machinedramons, they obeyed, looking out for any threats that would come from behind that would target the humans taking cover.
Colin evolves Luke and Bellamy to their Super Mega forms.
Neither makes a move yet, both looking out for the human party taking cover.

Stacking the defensive effort, then?
It wasn't a bad idea: given the small choke-point, it was important to make sure that the humans and weaker Digimon in the back were protected, but this effort would do little to hold off the BlackMachinedramon, even if the defense held perfectly. Connor adjusted his glasses, considered the situation, and looked over his shoulder. "BishopChessmon, watch the floor above us. Slam your staff against the wall if anyone else approaches from above."
"Confirming. Moving to sentry position."
As Connor gave his order, the roaring Giga Cannon would crash right against the combined defensive efforts of the bubble and Skadi's own defense. It was a good idea that Skadi stepped up, too: the bubble was a powerful defense, but the continued onslaught of the Machinedramon's energy eventually did overwhelm that simple shield, slamming right against the raised barrier of the ram. And though her defense would hold, the Kheimon would still feel the heat right down to her knuckles, the impressive amount of energy blistering the knuckles clutching onto that blade.
And the kickback, though impressive, wouldn't do nearly as much as Skadi might have hoped. Whether it was dulled by the outer shield or didn't hold the damage perfectly, it ultimately resulted in the BlackMachinedramon being shunted a few yards back, gouges cut into the ground where the beast dug in its nails to keep its footing. The BlackMachinedramon growled, and gave a threatening step forward, before breaking into a full on sprint, its right claw beginning to spin rapidly.
Did it have a target in mind? Nope - it barreled through, recklessly towards the oncoming fighters. If it did manage to get through, that spinning claw would find its way deep to the center of the hall!
"Now is not the time to be reserved. If something happens, the other sentry will buy us time - slam through!" Silence would find that her opponent was neither silent nor defensive.
The CresGarurumon would backpedal, but that didn't mean the WhiteMachinedramon would stay back. Hearing its claw click shut, the metal monster would re-open the arm, revealing a smaller cannon hidden right in the palm - perhaps something it planned on using if it caught Silence in its grip.
But, well, it was still a laser cannon! The larger armored arm would flick upwards to block the energy wave with its most defended element, and from its 'cover', the machine would stomp forward, and repeatedly shoot accurate bullets of crimson energy directly towards Silence's center of mass. It was a battle of two hulking titans, but the Machinedramon had quite a bit of size on its target!
BlackMachinedramon uses "Dragon Fire" - Which, apparently, is attacking with a rapidly spinning drill arm. WhiteMachinedramon uses "Laser Barrage".

”Guess not.”Okay so she had found that they had a good bit of range, so staying out of the range of their claws wasn’t exactly paramount. But seeing that the other had a smaller cannon hidden in the palm didn’t make the cresgarurumon feel any better about closing in either. He probably would have fired these beams point blank on her midsection if they had managed to grasp her there. This was going to be a dangerous game of finding where she should be with this one! Seeing her energy slash be blocked by the attack and the other following suit with a barrage of lasers left the cresgarurumon feeling a bit wanting as she felt a pair of those lasers dig into her chest. Making her tch and respond with what she presumed to be her superior agility. She could sense the sudden change in pressure from the twins in the back; were they getting impatient? Or were they just getting prepped. Letting out a tch she’d follow suit with lining her blade with energy even further. If the other wanted to defend it’s chest she’d just cut through the arm with a higher powered beam of her own. The next energy wave that was projected from her blade was shaped like a crescent; aiming to slam home in the arm of the WhiteMachinedramon. Thick armor or no that would definitely hurt silence felt! Log: -Silence takes some of the lasers from Laser barrage; avoiding some of them thankfully. -Silence uses Crescent moon to attack the arm of the metaldramon Passives: Soul-Bound|combat passive: Rather than wielding the stereotypical glaive that cresgarurumon's are known for.
Active Effect: [RAM UPGRADE GIGA]The Seventh Key: A Gift from her last iteration, for unlocking the potential that she was capable of. Move: Crescent Moon: This digimon is capable of projecting a long thin line of energy on their blade. Once projected, the next basic attack that this digimon makes it may make at range in the form of a long thin crescent like shape. Dealing high damage in place of the basic attack's own. Two post cool down. Six hundred foot range. Cooldowns: CM: [0/2] WFF: [⅖]

Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on Jul 31, 2020 1:27:32 GMT
Even with the flashing lights coming from both Luke and Bellamy had forced Kenny to shield his eyes with naught but his arm, the young man could only watch from afar as the double bubble shield combo found itself struck by the massively powerful beam. But Skadi was not one to give up so easily; even as the bubble shield was destroyed, and the overwhelming heat of the beam threatened to force her to buckle under the pressure, she remained stalwart, gritting her teeth as she dug her hooves into the floor, looking at the Machinedramon dead centre in the eye.
Only when the barrage had stopped would Skadi stop too, a wide, confident grin masking the sheer exhaustion on her psyche. She was not one to give up so easily even in the face of adversity, and her eyesight barely wavered away from the threat looming over them.
Yes, it was strong, and yes, it looked to be nigh-impenetrable under the thick layer of armour, but she knew that no way in hell was this thing going to hold out forever.
Watching the massive mechanical monstrous android ready itself once more, Skadi stood firm, and simply raised her axe into the air as it glowed a brilliant white. At that very moment, the Northern Lights would raise through the heavens, and 4 rainbow lights would come down, bypassing the walls and roofs of the tower effortlessly and swathing not just Skadi, but also Mae, Luke, and Bellamy, in invigorating, empowering energy. All 4 would feel a sense of overwhelming strength and speed, even if only what felt like a short time.
Just as well too, as now the Machinedramon was now charging at them at high speeds, rapidly spinning claw outstretched threatening to tear through whoever found themselves unlucky enough to find themselves in the crossfire. Connor didn't have to say anything; they knew what to do.
Rather, Skadi just glanced over to Kenny, tightly gripping onto her axe with both hands, "Kenny, ready the Mirror Shield card. I'm going in." The young man simply gave a nod back, and the moment she charged forth towards the malevolent machine, axe raised over her head, he would swipe the Mirror Shield card through the D-Nexus.
The moment she met the Machinedramon head on, swinging the axe down as she aimed for the active claw, hoping to jam it between it's fingers, a glorious barrier of light would shine over the front of Skadi, hoping to stop the massive beast in it's tracks. Once again, she dug her hooves into the ground as she looked the massive beast dead in the eye once more.
"Alright, ugly! You want to tear my friends and family back there to shreds, you're going to have to get past me first!"
Skadi calls upon Aurora Borealis to give herself and her allies behind a massive strength/speed boost, before aiming to parry and jam Machinedramon's Dragon Fire with an empowered swing of the axe, boosted by Kenny swiping VB-28: Mirror Shield.
The following allies will also receive the boost from Aurora Borealis, starting from this post: Mae Luke Bellamy
Aurora Borealis (RAM Upgrade): Skadi calls to the heavens to grant her and her allies strength to overcome any obstacle in their path, in which the Northern Lights emerge, swathing her and her allies in a veil of light. Colin, Luke and Bellamy were very grateful for Connor's intervention here. As long as the BishopChessmon above held the line, they were at least covered from the back. And best of all, that released them from defense to offense.
Of course, they would still not venture far from their partner and the other humans, but, at the very least, they could concentrate on the attack rather than the defense.
The AvengeKidmon and BanchoCherubimon thus raised their weapons, and sought out a target. The WhiteMachinedramon was launching a barrage of lasers, mostly at Silence. While the BlackMachinedramon was lurching forward at them.
"Bells, you take the Black!" Luke told his brother. Bellamy knew there was no moment to question this, he had to launch his projectile attack to help out. Luke meanwhile would dash toward the White mecha dragon and land his own attack, aiming for his arms so as to prevent him from attacking.
Colin meanwhile held back with the other humans. He was of course ready to intervene with cards if the need arose, but, for the moment, he wanted to see how effective his partners were in their strikes.
Bellamy attacks BlackMachinedramon with Hellfire Railgun.
Hellfire Railgun: Bellamy unslings and unfolds a collapsible rifle that's stored on his back and fires a powerful railgun blast. Not only does this attack pierce through shields, it can damage targets that are standing in a line and hits through anyone standing behind them. [Cooldown: 2 posts]
Bellamy is boosted by Skadi's Aurora Borealis (+50% Atk/Spd)
Luke attacks WhiteMachinedramon with Spear of Ezekiel.
Spear of Ezekiel: Luke's spear charges with divine lightning, and he rams it into his opponent, dealing damage. If it hits, the target becomes magically sealed in the region where he hit. (If he hits their legs, they cannot move. If he hits an arm, they cannot attack. This effect lasts for 1 turn. [Cooldown: 3 posts]
Luke is boosted by Skadi's Aurora Borealis (+50% Atk/Spd)

Though the shield would give way, what it yielded once it popped was...not quite the best thing in the world for a machine to find itself in. Water. A lot of water, in fact. Enough to turn an area of dirt into a swampland as it raged outwards. Nonetheless, it's purpose was served. Mae felt she had more to do here, and that right now was...supporting Skadi, as well as the efforts of Bellamy. It only felt right given she felt the very heavens themselves surging within her. More than usual, in fact. The Rasielmon would cast her arm outwards, as if casting a die, as ribbons of light surged forth for the BlackMachinedramon, trying to eviscerate the arm it was trying to strike with. From a distance. And to make matters worse, there was more to that attack, if it struck...
Basically, she’s greater at dodging and/or countering attacks than a good deal of her other forms
As the bubble pops, there is a deluge of water, a flood outwards. Mae meanwhile uses Divine Punishment to try cutting BlackMachinedramon down to size. It's far more terrifying than it should be thanks to Aurora Borealis increasing the power and speed of the move. AB: 1/3. Divine Punishment: With another sweep of her arm, Mae sends forth several trails of light that attempt to cut through her opponent. If any of them hit, they’re faced not only with damage, but an additional two turns placed onto any cooldowns they may be facing. Three turn cooldown. Cooldowns: Divine Punishment: 0/3 Spatial Relocation: 2/4 Knowledge Stream: 2/4
