Kitt smiled at Kaya when she also offered to tag along on his errant he had to take care of. At first, he was going to say there was no need, as he thought her staying alongside Hawkeye was more important than being with him, but the Spadamon had an inability to say no for an answer, so he didn’t mind. “I’d like that very much, Lady Kaya. Thank you,” he replied.
Kitt was delighted to hear that Hawkeye was already familiar with Bezil, Kenny and Skadi, though as he said, he wasn’t the nicest to them. “They’re really good people once you get to know them.” Kaya then said they hoped to join the Knights of Rose at Vander Tower. “Really? I didn’t know Rosewood had a team out here. But in any case, I’m hoping that you two will get in.”
Then comes the topic about “anime” and “manga”, to which Kitt listened to in great detail. “Ohhhh...I see...” he said, shaking his head. He didn’t understand a thing that Kaya said, but he’ll act like he did.
After what was an awkward silence between the three of them, the group finally arrived at the entrance of Rosewood, and Kitt spotted a pair of familiar faces: Leomon and Togemon—the guards that helped them during the Seraphimon incident. Kitt was glad to see them, though he couldn’t help but express a bit of awkwardness around them since in order to complete the mission, him and his team had to lie to them about the true reasons for their mission to not cause any panic. That didn’t turn out well. But it looked like the two of them didn’t hold any animosity towards them, so that was good to hear.
Hawkeye wanted to know what this deception was that him and his team had to do. “Well you see—“
“Sorry, birdie, but I’m afraid that the details about their job are all still classified for outsiders like yourself,” the Leomon interrupted. He turned to Kitt, giving him a disapproving look, to which Kitt realizes the gravity of his mistake.
“Ah! So sorry, Leomon-sama.” He bowed his head respectfully towards him. “I forgot all about that detail in our briefing after the incident. Please forgive me.”
The Leomon gave the Spadamon another reassuring pat on the shoulder, surprising him. “Ah, it’s alright, kid. Don’t beat yourself up about it. Just remember that until the city declassifies the full events of history, only the city and KIZNA are to know.”
Togemon chimed in, putting his arms over his head. “Personally, I think it’s because the city wants to keep its A+ reputation so we don’t look bad in front of the other major cities. But ehh, I don’t get paid enough to keep that detail under wraps.”
“Keep that attitude up, and you’ll notice the difference,” Leomon remarked, annoyed. “And shouldn’t you be on lookout duty?
“Shouldn’t you?”
The Leomon rolled his eyes, deciding not to engage with him in front of Kitt and his companions. And speaking of companions, the human, named Kaya Matsui, asked where the nearest hospital was. “Ah, just keep following the main road, past the Trailmon Terminal, then make a right. Rosewood Medical Center will be just to the side.”
Kitt smiled and bowed politely. “Thank you, Leomon-sama. We won’t take up any more of your time. It was great seeing you two again!”
Giving a wave of salutations to the two guards, Kitt escorted Kaya and Hawkeye into the city. He mused, glancing about as they entered the city proper, and made their way towards the hospital.
Glancing up to the town's skyline, the Spadamon smiled. “Beautiful, isn't it? The city I mean.”

Hawkeye didn't think Kitt really got it when he mentioned how he wasn't all too friendly with Bezil, Kenny and Skadi. "I have no doubt that they are good, Kitt. What I was trying to say is that I was... well, not the friendliest with them because I was the one in the wrong. I did a couple things I regret, but I doubt they're holding small things against me... I hope."
Apparently Kitt didn't even know that they had a team out in Rosewood when Kaya mentioned them. Still, it was nice of Kitt to show his support for the two of them. "I hope they'll accept us; I messaged them on Tamernet a while ago but I haven't gotten a response quite yet." Kitt pretended to seem like he knew what the concepts of anime and manga were, but it was clear he didn't. The subject would be dropped for now.
At the entrance of Rosewood, Kitt was about to answer Hawkeye's question about the deception part of his mission but the Leomon interrupted, stating that that part was classified only to those involved. Though Kaya and Hawkeye both visibly cringed at the nickname he gave to the latter: Birdie. Thoughts of that Biyomon flooded their minds for a brief moment of time.
"Ah, I see. I will not pry any further," Hawkeye said, recovering from the nickname. Togemon apparently claimed that the classification was only because the city didn't want to look bad in front of the other major cities of the Digital World. It sounded like both a logical and stupid reason at the same time. Thanks to Leomon providing some directions for the Medical Center, Kaya and Hawkeye followed Kitt into the city itself: Rosewood.
The city was absolutely gorgeous. It was unlike anything Kaya had ever seen before! It was a sprawling metropolis that was perfectly blended in with the very nature surrounding it, both elements being at peace with one another. Many Digimon were happily walking around and doing their daily activities and routines, almost all of them looking extraordinarily happy. Kaya looked at each and every aspect with awe as Kitt commented about the city's beauty. "YES! Oh my Gosh, I can not believe a place like this exists in the Digital World! I can't believe I've never been here yet! Once Hawkeye's all healed up we HAVE to go exploring!"
After following Leomon's directions, the group ended up at the entrance for the Medical Center. Kaya looked down at Kitt and smiled. "I'll be right out as soon as I can, okay? You can leave if you think we're taking too long, we'll just catch up with you if you want." And just like that, Kaya and Hawkeye entered the hospital, leaving Kitt alone for the time being...

Indeed, the city was extremely gorgeous. What was once a small town full of construction left and right the last time he was here was now a vibrant city overtaken by the beauty of nature: the ground was a carpet of mid size, prickly grass, flora and leaf litter. Ivy’s web of dark green leaves painted the buildings, especially the rooftops, with many bird Digimon using them as a place to nest, or for In-Traning Digimon to play hide-and-seek with. Even the nearby benches weren’t safe from the lush vegetation as some plant vines coiled at the legs with a strong grip. And with Kaya’s reaction to it all, Kitt could speculate that any other human that comes to Rosewood will be blown away by the mere scenery.
“Alright. Sounds good, Lady Kaya.” Kitt replied, chuckling at her enthusiasm.
After a little bit of walking, the trio reached the entrance of Rosewood’s Medical Center, much to the Spadamon’s “relief”, but mostly horror. He couldn’t help but shiver at the realization that he was a few feet closer to unspeakable horror. Kitt gave a nod to Kaya’s response, and once the two entered the building, he swifty made a mad dash to the opposite side of the street adjacent to the hospital, coming to a stop at the wall of a nearby shop, and out of breath.
“That— was — a— close— one.” he panted, punctuation each word with a breath. It was the closest he’s ever been to the doctors, a hospital in this case, since well...the first time he ever went to one, and the last time for as long as he lives.
With that aside, instead of sitting here waiting for Kaya and Hawkeye to get done, the best thing he can do with his time is to go and get the things for his errant and come back and wait for them to get done.
Getting back on his feet and walking, he went into his pocket and took out a folded piece of paper. But it wasn’t any piece of paper, it was a list—a gardening tools list. Kitt blinked as he mused to himself. “Let’s see...Makoto-san already has gardening tools, so I’ll get a watering hose, fertilizer, and two new pairs of gloves.”
The Spadamon had recently taken up gardening as a hobby. To him, it’s a great way to use his down time when not on assignments with KIZNA. It gave him a connection to nature that some Digimon don’t get in big cities, with the exception of Rosewood, of course. But these tools weren’t for him, they were for his mother figure, Makoto, who was out of town at the moment. He’d figured by the time they get back, the two of them can begin working on their garden since it’s getting warmer out. Plus, he could learn a thing or two from the Renamon-X.
Arriving at an outdoor garden center, Kitt browsed through the selections, finding the things on his list within ten minutes, and began waiting in line. As he did, he suddenly began feeling a tingling sensation in his head. He winced, using his free arm to grab his head. It wasn’t a headache or a migraine, but something...resonating.
He looked around, trying to see where this feeling was coming from, until he spotted a figure perched on top of an eclectic pole, a distance away from the garden center, staring at him. Kitt squinted, trying to make out any details: The figure in question was a Digimon, yes, but they wore a mask concealing their face all except for a headband, the center alight in blue flames. They had black fur and wore a dark blue zipped-up jacket, gold colored leg sashes, and a dark blue cloth covering their left arm being held together by a shoulder pauldron. The more Kitt looked at them, the stronger the resonating sensation was.
“Excuse me, sir. You’re next in line.”
Kitt’s eyes immediately snapped back to his surroundings, realizing that the Digimon in front of him had since completed their purchase and he was next in line. The Floramon cashier who called for him raised her eyebrow as she tapped their pedal-like fingers impatiently.
“Oh, s-sorry about that.” Kitt stammered, placing his items on the counter for the Floramon to scan. He looked up to the eclectic pole again, only to see that the figure was gone. The sensation that zinged through his head disappeared. Ktt’s face contorted into confusion.
After paying for his gardening items, Kitt began making his way back to the hospital, carrying his items. He frowned, still thinking about that Digimon. They weren’t someone he had seen before, but he couldn't shake the feeling he felt just now.
“Who was that?” Kitt muttered.
Reaching the hospital, he sat his stuff down on a nearby bench, before taking a seat as well, waiting for Kaya and Hawkeye to make their appearance.

Kaya looked behind her as she entered the hospital to see what Kitt would do while they were in there. She got a good view of him booking it all the way to the other side of the street and not stopping until he was right against the wall of the other building. The young girl sighed; the little guy was that afraid of hospitals, huh? She'd have to treat him to something as thanks for even going this far for them.
After Kitt had returned from his own little outing and waited outside on a bench, Kaya and Hawkeye would both walk out not even a few minutes later. Hawkeye was now properly back on his feet again, the healers inside did a good job at tending his wounds, he didn't even have to wear a bandage anymore. It didn't take long for them to see Kitt sitting outside waiting for them. "Hey Kitt, we're back!"
It also didn't take long for them to notice all the stuff Kitt had with him when they came up. They noticed a watering hose, fertilizer, and a couple of pairs of gloves. "Oh, are you into farming, Kitt? Is this what your errand was?"
"My village is a farming village, so I know a thing or two about it myself," Hawkeye added in. "It's a very productive thing to get into thanks to its multiple benefits."
Kaya smiled and nodded in agreement, it was nice to get to know more things about their friend. "Well anyways, I wanna thank you for following us as much as you did on the way to the hospital, Kitt. I was thinking I'd get you something, like a gift! Is there anything you want?"

As Kitt sat on the bench waiting, he still couldn't shake that feeling he felt when he saw that masked Digimon. It wasn’t painful in any way, but it was a sensation he had never felt before. It was like a resonating feeling of some kind-- like a mind meld. Was that Digimon he saw real, or was it just his mind playing games on him? He couldn’t be sure. Perhaps it was best to tell Logane about this when he gets home. Maybe he had an idea on what the feeling he felt was.
Soon enough, he saw Kaya and Hawkeye walk out of the hospital. Hawkeye was fully back on his feet, no longer wearing the leaf bandages across his torso. Kitt smiled, happy that his injury wasn’t serious. He waved at them. “Hey there!”
The two of them took note of all the gardening tools he just bought. “Farming? Oh no, all of this is for gardening, but plants are the best. When I came to Rosewood for the first time, everything was so mesmerizing. Everywhere around us is so alive, so green--it’s unbelievable. Nothing like it where I live. Then when Eris told me I could grow my own, I got really excited and began practicing. I’m still a novice, but I’m getting there.”
He placed both hands on the fertilizer, picking everything up. “But this stuff isn’t for me, it’s for my mom figure, Makoto-san. They’re out of town at the moment, so I promised them to get some gardening things and deliver it to their house so when they get back, we can tend to their garden. Their garden is...not in the best shape at the moment since it was a rough winter, but when we get right to it, it’ll be one of the best gardens in the community!”
Kitt beamed with happiness when Kaya thanked him for traveling with them-- as evidence by him nodding his head and blinking slowly-- and offered to get him something. “Well...I don’t really ask for anything a whole lot, but I guess I would like a cinnamon roll if you have the bits for that, Lady Kaya? Just one is fine.”

"Thankfully the injury was nothing serious," Hawkeye explained to Kitt. "All the bullet did was cause a lot of bruising and some welling. Simply using healing abilities on me was enough to heal me eventually. But it was definitely a close one..."
Kitt happily shared with Kaya and Hawkeye about his love of plants and gardening. He loved how green and alive everything was when he first came to Rosewood, and then Eris told him that he was able to grow his own plants and that got him very excited. "Kinda wish I was into gardening as well, but my sister and I are modern children and we pretty much spend all our time on the internet."
"Being on the internet essentially means being absolutely unproductive with their time."
"Hey, making TokTik videos is totally productive!" Kaya argued back with a slight pout.
But Kitt mentioned that these gardening supplies weren't for him. They were for his mother-figure Makoto, since he promised to buy some for them and deliver it to their house while they was out of town. "Makoto? You never mentioned them, though it has been a while since we last talked... still, it was real gentlemanly for you to get these supplies for them. What are they like? I'd love to meet your family and the rest of KIZNA!"
At the offer to buy Kitt a gift, the Spadamon requested a cinnamon roll if Kaya had the money for it. "A cinnamon roll does sound good right about now," Hawkeye said.
"Hey yeah, that's a great idea! Let's go buy some cinnamon rolls!" Kaya energetically declared. There was a brief pause before Kaya sweatdropped. "...where are they sold, again?"
"Augh!" Hawkeye groaned as he fell over like a character in an anime.
