Laying in his bed, eyes to the ceiling above him, His hat was over his eyes as he tried to fall asleep. His usual jacket was hung over by his chair and he just had his white shirt and black pants on. Even as he tried to close his eyes he heard sounds from outside his room, his mom commenting on Yuudai and Yasuo's housework skills. It hadn't been that long since he told her about them existing but she had them get to work ASAP, if you don't work you don't eat. Deciding that this whole sleeping thing wasn't taking hold of him Shi sat up in his bed before taking his hat off and tossing it on a chair nearby as he stood up straight. Heading over to his door he made his way into the hallway getting a full earshot of his name being called. "Shi, you up?" Shi let himself be known by walking down the hall and into the living room rubbing his eyes as he stepped into the room. "Hey, Mirai's friend is coming over, mind watching after them." She leaned close to her son before whispering. "I don't trust the twins to do it."
Shi looked over at Yuudai who was wearing an apron trying his best to clean up the living room, then over to Yasuo who was wiping down the tables cleaning it all. "You two are done for now, just put the stuff back where I showed you." Yuudai and Yasuo rejoiced with their hands in the air. "Freedom!" Yuudai rushed over to put the apron and broom away. "I never want to see another table again."
Shi let out a small laugh before looking back at his mom. "So how are they doing in the house cleaning department?" His mom crossed her arms for a moment before letting out a small sigh, a bit annoyed. "They're getting better, few more weeks and they might do as good as you usual do." Shi shrugged realizing what she meant. "You mean the bare minimum?" She gave a nod and playfully pushed Shi. "I'm just teasing, just make sure Mirai doesn't break anything."
As she said this she grabbed her bag and walked out the back door, she wasn't leaving yet but now wasn't in the house. "Big Bro, hey!" Shi leaned his head back seeing his sister run up with a smile. "Hey, how much longer till your friend gets here." Shi asked leaning against the wall nearby. "Should be soon, apparently Kaya's coming also, I told them it'd just be us four." Kaya, right Shi still remembered. Wasn't too long ago, he'd been pretty lazy so no digital world threats, might be nice to see a tamer without threat of death looming over him.

Meanwhile, a young thirteen year old tamer, Kaya Matsui, her Hawkmon partner Hawkeye and her little sister Mari were walking through the residential district of Shibuya on their way to, you guessed it, Shi's house. After their previous encounter with Shi and his own little sister Mirai, they had made arrangements for another proper playdate between the two today. Naturally, Kaya didn't feel comfortable with Mari being alone with Mirai at the moment, since last time they ended up in the Digital World and were almost burnt to a crisp by a rogue BurningGreymon. Besides, Shi was a Tamer, so it would make sense for Kaya to start forming some new relationships, even with college students...
It's only odd if you think about it too much, so shut up.
"We should be getting close to Mirai's house," Kaya said as she looked at the GPS app with her phone in her left hand, holding Mirai's hand with her other hand. "At least we should be if I typed the address in right."
"Is Hawkeye still following us?" Mirai asked. Of course Hawkeye was coming along with, but he couldn't exactly be seen in broad daylight, and he needed an excuse to get they layout of Shibuya. So as of right now he was making good use of his stealth skills, following somewhat behind the sisters covertly - sticking to the shadows, hiding in trees, however he can move stealthily.
"Of course he is, he's just kind of like a ninja right now... instead of just staying in the V-Pet like a normal Digimon."
"I'm excited to see those dinosaur Digimon again, they looked cute."
"And Hawkeye's not cute to you?"
"He is, but he's kind of mean to me."
"Can't argue with you there, honestly."
Finally the girls would reach their destination, Shi's house. With Hawkeye now joining their side, Kaya would knock on the front door a couple of times, waiting for someone else to open the door to let them in,

Shi had a bit of time so he walked over to make sure the twins were putting stuff away right, he got to see Yasuo with his foot stuck inside one of the buckets and Yuudai trying desperately to get it out. "Yasuo don't struggle, your claws will rip it apart!" Yuudai tried twisting it around, but it didn't seem like it wanted to move. Shi walked next to him, bending down and looking at it a bit, reaching over he tugged slightly, yup it was totally stuck. "Why'd you have to push me into it Yuudai!" Yasuo was annoyed, Yuudai just shrugged laughing a bit at what happened. Shi getting tired of this grabbed his digivice from his pocket and simply degenerated Yasuo into Koromon before evolving him right back. "Thanks, Jeez that was close."
Yasuo's pride was saved from being seen like that, while the whole ordeal was going down Shi heard a knock on the door, alongside a few grunts of annoyance from his sister. Walking back over he saw the short kid trying to jump up to get the small lock near the top of the door off, it was almost in her reach but she just couldn't jump that high. Walking behind her Mirai looked back and then pointed at the lock, as if showing it to Shi. Bending down Shi picked her up and slowly raised her to the lock, quickly she unlocked the door and quickly opened it up.
Shi quickly put her back down before the door opened to reveal the two Shi expected. "Mari, Kaya! Hi." she waved her hand up high with a smile on her face. "Yo." Shi simply said raising his hand up slightly for a small wave. "Come in!" her and Shi slowly backed up giving them room to go inside.
From inside the house Yuudai and Yasuo could be seen and heard, small arguing over the TV was pretty clear.

Kaya and Mari could hear quite a bit of commotion coming from inside the house as they approached the front door. The sisters looked at each other with concerned faces, just what exactly was happening in there? They could get a little rowdy themselves but at least their parents and Hawkeye were there to stop it from getting too out of control.
"It sounds like some form of slapstick routine in there," the Hawkmon commented.
Regardless, Kaya still knocked on the door anyways. After a few seconds the door opened to reveal both Shi and Mirai at the door to greet them. "Hi, Mirai," Mari greeted her friend with a smile and a wave as well.
"Thanks for letting me and Hawkeye come along too, Shi," Kaya said as she and her family walked into the house, those with shoes taking them off and placing them where the shoes went. "You can't blame me for being a bit nervous after what happened last time, can you? How've you and Mirai been after... y'know, that. OH, and how is the Spirit User doing, please tell me he's alright."
"I still can't believe you were right about the dinosaurs," Mari said to her friend with a laugh. "Are your dinosaur friends here, Mirai's brother?"
"His name's Shi, and they're called Digimon, Mirai," Kaya corrected her little sister.
"Agumon to be exact. But yes, where are Yuudai and Yasuo?"
It was then that the twins could be heard arguing in the other room. Curious, Hawkeye followed the source of the arguing to the living room, and the Agumon twins Yuudai and Yasuo were indeed there. Not only that, they seemed to be arguing about what show to watch on TV. "Please tell me that's not all I am going to hear from you two today," Hawkeye said, crossing his wings. "I would suggest putting on Netflix but I am convinced that will lead to similar amounts of arguing."

Well there they were, Kaya mentioned Shi letting her and Hawkeye come as well. He gave a small shrug as she revealed her reasoning. "Yeah I assumed that was part of it. We've been fine so far." Shi said patting his sister on her head, which made her smile before talking. "Yup, it's been fun talking more to Yuu and Yas. They're funny." They did have a certain comedic tone to everything they did it's true. "The spirit tamers' fine, at least that's what I heard, nothing too major." Shi recalled the memory of him, apparently this wasn't anything new. The kid seemed to know how to keep a secret as well.
"Yup just like I said, I knew they couldn't be imaginary." Considering from what Shi heard she snuck some of her candy to the two of them that was probably what tipped her off. Shi just nodded at the question of them being there, moving his head he motioned over to the living room where the two were seated, Yuudai holding the remote sitting upright while Yasuo was laying down looking at the TV.
"No, can't watch that I already saw it." Yuudai said flipping through screens. "We were supposed to watch it together!" Yuudai laughed a bit scratching his head. "Heh sorry, It came on while I was falling asleep." The argument wasn't much, just typical Yuudai and Yasuo stuff.
Then Hawkeye came in, seemingly a bit annoyed. "Huh, oh hey Hawkeye. Nah we're just wondering what to put on." Yuudai mentioned holding up the remote. "It's a brother thing, at least that's what Shi says." Yasuo pointed out. Yuudai had an idea though and just held the remote up. "Actually it's probably nicer to let the guest decide, you got any ideas Hawkeye?" Yuudai asked with a smile, Yasuo nodded agreeing that would probably be the better option.
However to probably half the rooms surprise the back door from the living room opened up revealing Shi and Mirai's mother stepping in, holding her bag over her shoulder as she closed the door. "Alright I'm leav-" Before anything else she looked into the living room to see the trio of digimon around her tv, she paused for a moment before continuing, "Oh right Shi mentioned you, Fridge is there. Just make sure you don't empty it and you can have whatever. Shi's birthday cake is in the bottom part, feel free there's a lot left." she said as she walked right past Hawkeye to the front door. Patting her daughter on the head and looking at Shi. "You're in charge Shi, just make sure Mirai is asleep before 11." With that she patted Shi on the shoulder with a smile. "Alright, bye mom love you."
"Bye mom, we'll behave I promise." Mirai said with a smile. "Bye mom!" Yuudai waved with a smile. "Goodbye mom, have a nice night." Yasuo added with a wave as well. "I keep telling you I'm not your mom." she mentioned before walking out the door.

Kaya was glad to hear from Shi that everything had been fine since their incident with the BurningGreymon. Even the news that the kid was okay calmed Kaya down tremendously. And at least Mirai has been having fun with Yuudai and Yasuo, according to her. "I didn't get to talk to them much, but they do seem like cute little guys. A complete departure from my own Digimon partner, no offense to him of course."
"None taken," Hawkeye said, apparently having heard Kaya say that about him. He didn't mind, he knew he wasn't easy to get along with. He has been trying to change that as of late, but some things are just hard for him, and socialization is one of those things. Hawkeye would then walk into the living room, seeing Yuudai and Yasuo calmly debating over what to watch on the TV. The Hawkmon simply just didn't want it to escalate to a full-blown argument, but he was surprised when the twins decided that he should possibly choose something to watch. Hawkeye blinked in response. "O-Oh, this is rather sudden, isn't it? Erm... perhaps we could watch something with action? Yeah, one of those action animes perhaps." Hawkeye smiled, it kind of felt nice to be asked something as basic as a preference in TV shows. Before the channel could be changed the back door suddenly opened, with a woman that seemed to be Shi's and Mirai's mother walking in. Oh, crap...!
I thought she was already gone...!Kaya, Mari and Hawkeye all went white as ghosts, their eyes widening as she walked in, unprepared for someone just walking in like that and seeing Hawkeye and the twins out in the open! How were they going to explain this one?! ...apparently they didn't have to, as she simply explained where the fridge was and said goodbye to her kids before leaving through the front door. As soon as she was gone, all three visitors would collapse, face-faulting like anime characters. Once recovered, Kaya would glare at Shi. "You could've told us your parents know about Digimon, you know!""A shock like that is indeed what my Digicore needed," Hawkeye sarcastically remarked before he headed for the kitchen. "I'm helping myself to some of that birthday cake.""I'll take a piece too," Kaya told Hawkeye before going to sit down in the living room. She looked at the two Agumon who were already sitting there. "Yuudai and Yasuo, huh? How long have you two and Shi been partners for? And how did you guys meet?" |

Kaya mentioning Yuudai and Yasuo being cute, Shi didn't really have an opinion on that but he did have an opinion on them being talkative. "They do enjoy talking, especially to each other. I'm sure you'll hear plenty from them." Yuudai and Yasuo almost never shut up in fact, from what Shi saw on Hawkeye he seemed more Shi's speed then either of the twins. "They're very cute, especially Yuudai! he plays with me all the time." Yuudai just gave a thumbs up, well the Agumon equivalent to a thumbs up, alongside his winning smile.
With Hawkeye mentioning watching something with action Yuudai had the perfect idea. "Ohh yeah, we can both get behind that huh bro?" Yuudai turned and smile at his brother who just nodded. Yuudai then started to get to work on getting to one he figured they'd all enjoy. As he was doing that though the whole event with his mother came and went, Shi looked over at Kaya to see her face as pale as a ghost. "You oka-" before he could finish she gave him a glare for not mentioning his mother knew about digimon.
Shi looked a bit confused. "I thought you knew, I told Mirai to tell Mari and you when she asked Mari to come over." Shi said looking down at his sister, who wasn't looking Shi in the eye, looking away and whistling a tune to herself. hands behind her back trying to look as innocent as possible. "Mirai..." Shi had his normal face and just stared at his sister who scratched the back of her head laughing a bit. "I uhh, I got so excited about having a friend over I sorta, kinda. Forgot? hehe."
Shi sighed shaking his head. "Sorry, I really thought she told you." that probably was the scare of a lifetime. Hawkeye mentioning grabbing a piece of cake got Yuudai's attention. "Oh could you grab me a piece too? That cakes soo good." Yasuo needed to add. "Me too, chocolate with strawberry filling. Gotta love it." Shi sighed walking into the living room and sitting next to Yuudai. "I don't even like strawberry.... Yeah dad definitely got that cake for himself." That tended to happen considering Shi didn't like sweets.
Kaya asking the twins questions, Yuudai was a bit distracted looking for a good show so Yasuo decided to talk. "It's been a while, Hard to we're better at digimon time then human time. But we met right outside Shi's door. He was coming home one night and apparently we just appeared on his doorstep." It was a weird night for sure. "Yup, we hatched and considering he was the only human we just decided we're his partners."

"I wish Hawkeye talked more, honestly," Kaya responded, hearing the slight jab-like tone in Shi's voice. "I'm sure they're not that bad anyways, unless you're just a complete intro-" She stopped in the middle of her sentence as she stared at Shi. It was obvious that this guy was an introvert, so what she was saying was redundantly redundant. "...nevermind." She smiled when Mirai mentioned how Yuudai played with her a lot.
"Hawkeye doesn't play with me, he avoids me as much as our cat does," Mari said in a sad tone of voice.
"You know he's not the playing type, Mari, don't hold it against him."
Once Shi's mother left for work, he seemed very confused by the reactions from his guests. He seemed to have told Mirai to tell them that she already knew about Digimon when she was inviting them over, which Mirai completely neglected to mention. Now things were making more sense. "It's fine, don't worry about it," Kaya said in response to Shi's apology. "Mari and I probably would've done the same thing, if I'm being honest."
"Let's go see your room," Mari suggested to Mirai, allowing the two of them to go play while the Tamers hung out in the living room. Hawkeye did indeed hear the twins' request for cake slices as well as Yasuo's comment about how it had chocolate and strawberry filling. His eyes widening, the Hawkmon picked up the pace over to the fridge to see if this was true, and indeed it was. He was practically drooling as he looked at that perfection of a cake staring back at him... Shi's parents had good taste in cakes!
Back in the living room after Hawkeye had delivered the twins' slices first, they explained that the two of them had just appeared on Shi's door one day, and once they hatched they just decided that Shi was his partner. Kaya couldn't help but laugh a bit. "Our story's a bit more complicated. I fell through a hidden portal to the Digital World and arrived in Hawkeye's village. After we stopped a fruit thief, he was the one that took me to Terminus City to get me back home to my family. Over the trip we started to bond and I got pretty sad when it was my time to hop onto the Trailmon and head home..."
"But then a few days later, Hawkeye actually showed up at my house and came through my bedroom window. I was so happy to see him, and before we knew it my Digivice appeared in my hands and bonded me to Hawkeye, and we've been together ever since. He really is a good Digimon, but he has trouble getting along with people, y'know?"
Hawkeye would then come through with two plates in each wing, complete with forks. One would have one slice of cake, which he would hand to Kaya. The other plate had three slices of cake on it, which of course was for himself. Kaya sweatdropped upon seeing this. "Hawkeye, why do you have three slices of cake?"
"Because four slices was too much for me," Hawkeye nonchalantly said before taking a bite of one of the pieces of cake. His smile grew wider as he appreciated the cake's sweet flavor, something that would definitely be noticeable.

Kaya wishing Hawkeye talked to her more mentioned them talking not being too bad, she also almost mentioned Shi being an introvert so before he said anything else on that matter he just said. "Don't worry, I know what I am." Shi just didn't like talking, some people just didn't. Wasn't like it was a taboo thing or nothing. "They're not bad, just more then I'm used to is all." With Shi mentioning that Yuudai didn't even look up. "Which is any amount at all." he joked without skipping a beat. "Nah, there's at least like. two people he's required to talk to so there's that." Yasuo added with a smirk and a small laugh. "I can always count on you two to have my back." Shi sarcastically added obviously not phased by their comments.
"Aww that's a shame, Yasuo's a bit like that too. Especially if he's solving a puzzle." Yasuo wasn't one to play around a lot. "Hawkeye doesn't seem the type to play yeah, he's pretty intense." Focused would be a better word but still Yuudai wasn't far off. "Still we've met more standoffish digimon I'm sure. He's nice enough at least." Yasuo added figuring Hawkeye wasn't too bad.
With a nod and a wave goodbye Mirai left with Mari to her room. "Just don't break anything Mirai." Shi shouted a bit, mostly as a joke. "Break everything and blame Yuudai, got it." Mirai responded, Shi rolled his eyes. "At least she's already keen on the 'blame Yuudai for everything' Way we do stuff." as Yasuo said that though he felt a small pain from the remote that just hit him in the head. "If I'm gonna be taking blame I might as well go all out." Yasuo rubbed his head and stuck his tounge out at his brother. Yuudai had finished with putting stuff on, he didn't see anything specific so he just decided to put on some Dragon Ball Z, it was a nice blanket action style.
With that Kaya started talking on how she met Hawkeye, it was definitely more intense then how Shi met the twins. "Hidden portals, yeah I've seen that happen a bit. I've met quite a few tamers in the digital world that way." Though Shi had never seen or been through one personally. But that part of Hawkeye having trouble getting along with people was something Shi was versed in. "Well hopefully he can get along with us here, Yuudai and Yasuo are pretty good at getting others to open up." Usually it was thanks to their comedic styles but even still talking to them leads to a lot more intellect behind those skulls then first impressions would show.
Then Hawkeye came in holding a buncha cake, one piece for Kaya and three more. "Wow, go Hawkeye." Yuudai mentioned with a smile. "Cake is a good one, glad you enjoy it."

Shi insisted that the twins aren't as bad as he was originally implying, just that it was more than he was used to. Of course this gave Yuudai an opportunity to quip that it was any amount of talking at all, which Kaya couldn't help but laugh at. "You walked right into that one, Shi, hehehe!" This kind of back-and-forth must be normal for them since Shi wasn't phased by the teasing at all.
Yasuo seemed to be more like Hawkeye in terms of willingness to play, according to Mirai. This made Hawkeye raise an eyebrow as he glanced at Yasuo, who he assumed would behave more similarly to his brother. That's what he gets for assuming, he supposed. "So you like puzzles, Yasuo? I do not have much skill in video games but Kaya and Mari usually call for me to help them with a puzzle within the game."
Before Mari and Mirai to the latter's room to play, Shi warned her not to break anything, to which she responded that meant break everything and blame Yuudai for it. Apparently Yuudai gets blamed for a lot of stuff. After some light teasing between the twins which left Hawkeye confused on if Yasuo was the mature one or not considering that he stuck his tongue out at Yuudai, the show on TV had been picked.
"Dragon Ball Z?" Kaya asked, immediately realizing what show it was. "Isn't this the fighting show where not that much fighting even happens?" Clearly she was not a fan of Dragon Ball Z if she was saying stuff like that. Oh well, it was at least entertaining for what it was.
While Kaya was explaining how she met Hawkeye, Shi commented how he'd seen hidden portals getting involved a bit. "A kid on a bike pushed me into the Shibuya River, apparently that's one of the main ways humans end up in the Digital World." Shi also mentioned how Yuudai and Yasuo are good at getting others to open up, and how he hoped Hawkeye would get along with them. "Good luck with that. The only ones I can remember him actually consider friends are myself and a Spadamon we met during the trip named Kitt. He's a cute little guy, you'd like him."
Hawkeye was usually a very straightforward, down to earth 'mon, so it was pretty surprising seeing him join the group with an absurd amount of cake on his plate. The twins seemed impressed, at least. And he would definitely be finishing it, judging on his reactions to the flavor of the cake. "Chocolate and strawberry filling... exquisite! Shi, where did you get this cake, may I ask? It's certainly better than the cakes Kaya's family usually gets."

Kaya mentioned Shi walking into that one, which was fair as it basically was what happened. "I suppose so, though there is a bit of truth to those jokes." He wasn't really used to talking to people at all, especially before this whole digimon thing happened. "Eh, but that's just how I am I suppose." It was just his nature, no fault for that.
Then the question about Yasuo's love of puzzles came up, which seemed to make the digimon light up slightly. "Mhm, I love solving all kinds of puzzles. I keep a bunch up in Shi's closet, though I suppose those will be moving to the guest room now. Though I don't think I've played any game puzzles. Might want to try those out." The dinosaur sure did love his puzzles.
"He's also good at wood carving, he once made one that looks soo much like me it's crazy." Yuudai complimented with a smile, proud of his brother.
"To be fair I look at you all the time and look exactly like you, pretty sure I could recreate you from memory alone." Yasuo added with a small laugh, they were twins after all.
"We might look the same but you can't get all this natural Yuudai charm." Yuudai gave a small little joking flex as he said that, holding his arms up in a pose like he was one of those muscle models.
"Oh no, whatever will we do." Shi sarcastically remarked making Yuudai laugh and break his pose falling back into his seat with a smile.
The show Yuudai brought on made some questions come up. "Eh not sure, I sorted it by top picks and this was the one that came up, I'm sure it'll be decent background noise at least." They weren't gonna focus on it so it was probably good for background noise.
Kaya mentioned Hawkeye not having many friends, well time to try and fix that but they had time, no need to rush. Instead Shi was asked where the cake was gotten from. "Pretty sure my dad made it, he usually likes making sweets like that in his spare time." Either that or his Grandma, Shi couldn't imagine them spending money on a cake Shi wouldn't eat much of.

"I cannot relate to introverts at all, honestly," Kaya would respond. "If it's a shyness thing I can totally understand, some people are just plain old scary. But come on, if you're not scared than people can be very interesting, and going out and seeing all the different people out in the streets of the city, not to mention all the Digimon in the Digital World too."
In response to Hawkeye's question, Yasuo gladly shared his love of puzzles, mentioning how he kept a bunch in Shi's closet and commented how he's gonna have to move them to the guest room now. "Kaya and Mari have a few at their house as well. I quite enjoy them myself as well."
This conversation prompted Yuudai to praise his brother's wood carving skills as well by stating how he made one of Yuudai that looked just like him. Before Kaya or Hawkeye could say anything else on the matter, Yasuo essentially did it for them by stating that the two looked quite alike, once again allowing Yuudai to flex and state that only he had his "natural Yuudai charm." After Shi made a quip that made Kaya and even Hawkeye laugh, Kaya said, "It's not easy to make wood carvings. Could you make one of me and Hawkeye, do you think?"
Back onto the topic of Dragon Ball Z, Yuudai said he just sorted it by top picks, claiming that it'd make for some good background noise. "Yeah, that is true. My friend Adrian likes this show he said, but I just don't get it."
"Do they ever answer why humans are able to fly in this show?" Hawkeye asked as he ate his cake and watched the current scene, one of those classic mid-air battles. In this time, Shi revealed that his dad actually made the cake, saying he liked to make sweets in his spare time. "He knows about Digimon as well, right? Shi just simply sat back in his seat as he listened to Kaya read him the riot act, it was something he was used to hearing from people who didn't seem to get it. He wasn't mad or annoyed it was just misinformation on a lot of parts. "I know full well they can be interesting, however I just find things better in my own place. I go out, I even explore the digital world. I just would much rather be home then out there, everyone's different if you can't relate you at least have to understand that part. It's just a difference in personalities. Can't force it." Shi just didn't like going out of his way to interact with others. Even from the lack of emotion in his voice it was pretty clear he didn't want to continue this topic further, having had it so many times before.
When asked about his wood carvings Yasuo paused for a moment looking at both Kaya and Hawkeye. "I'm sure I could given enough time. I'd probably need a reference in order to get it right though." It did seem quite hard to make something like that through memory alone, Yasuo is sure he could probably get something decent done but for a good one he'd need to actually see what he's supposed to be making.
With the mention of Dragon ball Z though Kaya name dropped something, Yuudai stopped for a moment crossing his arms. "Hmm, that name sounds familiar for some reason." Yuudai could swore he met some guy with that name before. Eh he was drawing a blank so it probably wasn't important.
"Don't think we know an Adrian, least not well." Yasuo corrected his brother who just shrugged and went along with it.
With the questions in two fold asked by Hawkeye Shi decided to answer both. "Pretty sure it was revealed in the series before this one, can't remember what but something something manipulating energy. Also I'm sure he'd be more then happy just to give them out, he makes em in his spare time anyway. Just a thing he and Mirai do for fun."

When asked about making a wood carving of Kaya and Hawkeye, Yasuo said he could make one if given enough time and a good reference to get it right. "A reference? Like a picture, you mean? I have a couple pictures of myself and Hawkeye on my phone, I could send them to Shi later... unless you have a phone?" Kaya highly doubted that he did but still, just had to be sure.
"Good luck explaining my part to your parents if they ever find it," Hawkeye commented. "I still don't see why you haven't told them about me yet."
"Because I don't know how they'd react, honestly. Especially my dad and older brother. My mom might be okay with you though, she's very friendly."
"It is your decision in the end."
Naturally, Shi and the twins didn't really know who Adrian was. So Kaya decided to tell them! "Adrian's like a big brother figure to me and Mari. He's a Tamer as well, his partner's a Shoutmon, this red music dragon thing. Mari and I like to hang out with him sometimes since our parents are friends as well. I think you should meet him someday, he's really cool."
"And judging by your partners I have a feeling that another loudmouth Digimon won't be too much for you to handle," Hawkeye said with a snicker.
With the question relating to the show, Shi said that they explained how the humans could fly earlier on, something about manipulating energy. Followed up by a point in the show where energy blasts were being shot at each other, Hawkeye couldn't help but grow interested. "This is not far off from some Digimon battles I've seen before. Amazing how humans in this show are capable of such things!"
And with the question involving the sweets, Shi said that his father would be happy to just give them out since it was more of a hobby for him. "Free sweets does sound tempting but it doesn't sound right getting something without exchanging something in return," he said as he finished the first cake slice out of three.
Is Hawkeye actually... getting along with people? Kaya thought as she watched Hawkeye talk with Shi and the Agumon twins in an actually friendly tone and not his usual standoffish nature. Heck, he was even getting involved in the show that was playing! Good for him!

Yasuo gave a small nod. "Picture, Video. Basically just anything I can use to get a clear look at you two, I actually do have a phone. It's usually just for emergencies but I'm sure Shi wouldn't mind. I'll give you the number before you go." Shi gave the two of them phones for their Holo-suits, but since they broke the phones have mostly gone unused.
Then Kaya and Hawkeye had a back and forward on why Kaya didn't mention Hawkeye to her parents. Shi didn't really have a comment since he didn't really know her life or how they'd react until the last part. "It's a hard choice, I only did it because I couldn't afford to hide it anymore." The scar, his sister going missing. The food in the fridge vanishing, Shi just ran out of excuses.
Shi leaned back a bit in his seat as she described Adrian, sounded nice. Shi couldn't recall any that fit that description off the top of his head but Shoutmon was a digimon he knew. "If he's a tamer I'm sure we'll cross paths eventually." That tended to happen to Shi a lot, running into tamers was basically a talent of his at this point.
The comment on loud digimon though had Yuudai decided to speak up. "We hafta be loud in order to make up for Shi being so quiet, it's a give and take sorta thing." Yuudai smirked after stating that like it was fact.
"Yuudai definitely meets the quota for being loud way more often then me though."
"Yup, cause you just keep slacking, someone's gotta pick up the pace." Yasuo threw a small pillow at his brother, who simply caught it out of the air and threw it back, smashing Yasuo in his face with all the dangerous fluffiness.
Talk of the show came up and Yuudai had to talk a bit more on it. "Yeah a lot of these fights sometimes seem like how I've seen Digimon fight, complete with the whole named attacks thing that they shout out." As is on que the famous Kamehameha was heard on screen as Yuudai mentioned it, great timing.
"If you have a problem taking it for free maybe you can come over and help make it? I'm sure Mirai and Dad wouldn't be against another hand in the kitchen." They did do it as a sorta bonding time but the more the merrier right?
