Sleepless Night(84A/84X)(Faustein)(COMPLETE)

After hearing LJ's question about what they were going to do with the newly dubbed "Cordycemon", Faustein fell silent for several moments before coming up with a solution and remarking

"Not to worry, I actually had a plan for this curious little digimon. You see, I plan on adding this to my research specimen collection as I am greatly intrigued by it."

Faustein looked at the "Cordycemon" which was still flitting about and declared to it

"You should feel honored as you are now and forever, one of my many research specimens. I shall neither hear nor brook any complaints from you about this. You shall not do anything unless it be for self defense or on my orders. Is that clear?"

In response, the "Cordycemon" bobbed up and down as if to show its acquiescence to his demand while emitting those same beeping and warbling noises. Then, Faustein looked at LJ and resumed

"Well then, that is one problem solved, now let us go and take a look at this ailing patient. Perhaps I can assist somehow as I am a fully professional physician-scientist."

He said while smirking with his entire face lit up with excitement at the prospect of meeting yet another digimon

Faustein had feigned innocence in response to LJ's warning to not cause trouble with Kshin and remarked



"Cause problems? Moi? Do not worry, I am just your friendly and totes harmless neighborhood mad physician-scientist...You can trust me."

With that they were off and soon reached the cave where Kshin who turned out to be a Dorimon was located and upon returning, Faustein watched on with a neutral expression while LJ and Kshin had a touching moment because his emotional obliviousness precluded his comprehension of the scene unfolding before his eyes. At the end, he interjected

"So, how about we commence the administration of medical attention to the patient?"


He said while charging the syringe with the green liquid in it with his steel element energy, causing it to glow a muted jade green color.

Faustein/Docmon smirked as he saw how Kshin the Dorimon reacted to his display and remarked to LJ in response to his comment

"Indeed I am, I am much better at dealing with adults as that is my actual line of work in the human world...that said..."

He then turned to Kshin who was hiding behind LJ and addressed him with his usual mad physician scientist's grin on his thin, cyanotic lips and pulling out a glass jar with a transparent liquid chemical in it



"There is no need to worry...after all, the solution I am going to inject you with is not a mildly dangerous chemical like this hydrochloric acid which can afflict you with blindness if it were to get into your eyes."

Then, he pulled out a smaller, round bottom glass flask with an ominously bubbling and steaming chemical solution in it and explained it



"Or like this super dangerous one called chlorosulfuric acid which can turn you into a skulking zombie if it were to spill onto your skin..."

Then, he put it aside and pulled out yet another thing from his field investigation kit, this one being a glass jar with yet another ominous substance in it, this one being a sort of white looking powder



"Nor is it an ultra dangerous chemical like this sodium hydroxide which the yakuza regularly use to melt enemy corpses and hide the evidence of their crimes."

All the while he was doing this, he was cackling in a deranged manner like a stereotypical mad scientist would with a rather disturbing expression on his face all throughout as well.

Faustein/Docmon had been having a great deal of fun explaining the various dangers posed by the chemicals he was displaying to Kshin, but then he was interrupted by LJ who scolded him for scaring his adoptive younger brother

"Oh very well then...you lot are no..."

Alas, Faustein/Docmon did not get to finish that sentence since soon afterward, in a blur of motion, he saw Lothar and Mandrake dash into the cave right after hearing the rumbling sound of their car outside the cave. Then, Faustein/Docmon felt himself being lifted up by the neck by Lothar while Mandrake went forward and then stood between him and their children, aka LJ and Kshin while demanding what he did to upset Kshin

"Ah I see now, that is two mysteries solved in one fell swoop. This has been quite the fruitful learning experience indeed. I never imagined that a simple stroll through the woods due to lack of sleep would bring such newfound knowledge into my possession."

Faustein/Docmon remarked with his usual calm smirk briefly, looking like the picture of a scientist who had finally achieved a breakthrough in some long and difficult research project. Then, since he figured he would try to defuse the situation, he dismissed his syringes and held his hands with open palms facing forward in the universal gesture of peace and surrender while remarking

"Easy now...no need for violence, we are all civilized gentlemen here, right? Now then, the answer to your query is that I was merely attempting to caution young Kshin AGAINST the dangers of such chemicals while also trying to reassure him that what I was going to administer was a substance of the salubrious sort and NOT noxious like any of the chemicals I showed him earlier."

As he spoke thus in his defense, Faustein/Docmon had a facial expression of perfect calmness and inscrutable neutrality which he complemented by morphing his thin, cyanotic lips into his usual, well-practiced businessman's politically cordial smile while gazing at Mandrake and Lothar in turn unblinkingly. The reason for this unfazed behavior was of course the nerves of steel that he now had from his having stare death and mortal peril in the face innumerable times throughout all of his research expeditions in the Digital World thus far as well as all the experiences in high-stress, urgent situations he had been trained thoroughly to handle in a systematic, methodical and supremely calm manner during his medical school days and later through practical experience as a professional physician-scientist. He then continued, with his voice reflecting this same sense of utter calm and composure

"That said, now that you both have returned, presumably with whatever medical supplies you need to treat your precious Kshin, my services as a physician are no longer required in this situation...and so, with this in mind, I shall take my leave of you all."

He would have done a ultra-melodramatic bow and flourish as was his usual norm as one who had been trained in both western and eastern theatrical arts, but since he was being held up by his neck at the moment, he decided against it. Instead, he simply raised his arms above his head while giving his parting statement

"So, till next we meet, my friends...I bid you all...a truly fond adieu."

No sooner than he had said that, he activated his D-Tector's Digi-Port function, calling forth the portal in the air above his head by miming tugging at the air therein

"Digi-Port, open. Destination: Human World - Shibuya Station."

With that, the Digi-Port summoning was complete, leading to the formation of a yawning void in the air above him which had a constantly swirling black and gray, fluid-like vortex inside it



The immense trans-dimensional gravitational force of the portal managed to free him from Lothar's grasp and together with the "Cordycemon" which had been silently observing everything going on, he was sucked into it and vanished from view and reappeared a few seconds later in Shibuya Station, specifically in that seemingly broken down train terminal. After that, he made sure that nobody was watching and smuggled his new digital specimen and himself out of the station and called his personal chauffer to bring him his usual vintage ride to take him back home.
