Alpha was sitting around on a bench with his eyes closed, ever since they got here his twin had been checking out the entire area, making sure to take absolutely every single detail in as she went around, even now she was sitting slightly mesmerized at the whole area around her. He had to admit this was a nice looking place, the whole atmosphere was also very calm and peaceful. Given that he heard that people who broke that rule were kicked out that was probably why.
Beta while looking around the area noticed something slightly away from their bench, it was a mic stand with a piece of paper attached to it. Getting off her bench the Hackmon decided to investigate it real quick. She was quickly noticed by Alpha who got off the bench and followed her to the mic in question.
Beta hopped up slightly and grabbed the paper, which seemed to just be a job request for it, she read it for a bit but then turned the paper over to Alpha. "Hey Alpha, what's this word mean?" Beta pointed at the word Karaoke, her brother read the paper real quick then decided to relay what it was.
"Well basically it's just asking for people to sing in public, I guess making fools outta them or something. Seems to pay alright though." Alpha thought the whole thing seemed a bit stupid but then he noticed his twins eyes light up at the idea. "Wait Beta, you don't." But before he could say anything she was already up on the mic, adjusting it down to her height.
Luckily the stand had some songs by her side, since she didn't know any from the top of her head or anything this would help out a lot. Picking a random song the Hackmon tapped the mic lightly, she figured if it was here you just had to sing into it right? Well time for some public singing.
Beta was, she wasn't really that good at all. The Hackmon sung a random song she picked and at the start she sounded pretty bad, couldn't hold a note and even had her voice break a bit. Slowly though as she kept singing she started to get slightly better at it, Beta was picking up on how it should flow pretty fast, Digimon who were just wandering past a moment ago were now looking at her and actually starting to pay attention.
Alpha on the other hand seemed to shrink as more and more digimon looked at them, it wasn't much of a crowd but even still he didn't like having all those eyes pointing in his direction. As he tried to sit there and hide though eventually the song Beta was singing was over, then she went over to Alpha. "Hey Alpha, you should try this. It's a lot of fun." Beta was smiling as she tried to pull her twin over to the mic.
"Er no thanks I'm good Beta. I don't si- Er." Eventually remembering that Beta is a lot stronger then him she had pulled him over to the mic and he was now sitting in front of it like an idiot. Taking a few deep breaths he realized he couldn't look this rattled, he had to maintain his image so without any other choice he decided he should just start singing.
He wasn't as bad as Beta was at the start, but he also didn't improve as much as she had. The crowd seemed to be slightly enjoying the show, enough to stick around and watch the two of them sing. As Alpha sang he started to get a bit more into the flow of it, until he was slightly interrupted by his twin.
Apparently she couldn't wait anymore and started singing alongside Alpha, both of them singing at the same time. They couldn't hit the same rhythm at the start, Alpha going too fast while Beta seemed to be doing her own thing. Slowly though eventually the two of them started to synch up their voices, both of them going at the same pace making the song they were singing sound a lot better then before. Tourists seemed to be enjoying their singing despite the fact it was pretty obvious they weren't the best at it.
The twins eventually stopped after a few songs, Alpha was getting way too tired to keep up with Beta any longer and Beta was starting to lose focus on the songs. Overall though it was a pretty decent performance on their part. The crowd cheered slightly for the two Hackmon, Beta giving a large wave while Alpha did his best to cover himself with his hood again, not wanting to be seen as he backed off from the crowd.
"That was so much fun Alpha! I had no idea singing could be so much fun. We should do it more." She had a smile on her face as she ran up to her twin, who just kept walking for a bit.
"Ugh, I can't believe I let you drag me into that. All those digimon staring at us. Makes me uncomfortable." Alpha was far enough away from the crowd that he started to calm down, he didn't have a handle on that situation at all, still he seemed to manage to keep calm without it getting out of hand, plus only Beta would know what happened.
That was when he heard clapping from behind the two of them, turning around he saw their caretaker Cici standing with a smile on her face as she walked towards them. "Well now, I didn't know the two of you could sing, Guess I learn something new everyday." She said with a smirk as Alpha's face turned red.
He turned away from the two of them and started to walk off annoyed, Beta ran after him. She still had a smile on her face and didn't know what was going on while Cici laughed as she followed the embarrassed Hackmon.
