YsMPC 1.1: Relaxing Atmosphere
“So this is where you used to live, Sakura?” Hana asked, as she looked at the house that the Lillymon had brought them all to. It was obvious that the building was starting to show some early signs of age-related wear and tear, but it was still well-kept, and the abundance of flowers growing around it gave the building a very warm and welcoming vibe. “It’s beautiful.”
“Yep. Mom always loved to have a variety of flowers around the place. That’s one thing I’m glad hasn’t changed.” Sakura said. She gestured to the others to move out of sight of the door before she went ahead and knocked on it. The Lillymon patiently waited a few minutes before the door was opened by an older-looking Lilamon wearing an apron. The Lilamon looked surprised, but ultimately happy to see the Lillymon as she hugged her daughter.
“Oh, Sakura! I’m so glad to see you! Oh, if I’d known you were coming home, I would’ve done more to tidy this old place up.” The Lilamon broke the hug to get a better look at her daughter. “Oh, you’ve grown so much. Are you already an Ultimate at your age?”
“Well, Lillymon is actually only my Champion stage, but I’m certain it won’t be long before I reach Ultimate myself.” Sakura proudly said, before gesturing to the other four people watching the two plant Digimon catch up. “I do also have some guests that I wanted you to meet. This is Hana, her two partners, Data and Rush, and the little Terriermon is Mint. Guys, this is my mother, Dahlia.”
“It’s very nice to meet you, Mrs. Dahlia.” Hana respectfully said with a bow.
“Oh, you can just call me Dahlia.” Dahlia said to the girl, before picking up the young Terriermon that had wandered over to the Lilamon. “Well aren’t you just a cute little bean. Now where did my daughter manage to pick up a sweet little thing like you?”
The compliment made Mint giggle, before Sakura sheepishly said, “I actually helped him when he was a baby, and recently I came across him again and kinda… adopted him. Surpriiiiise?”
Dahlia actually froze for a moment as she processed that revelation, which made Sakura worry about she’d react. However, the Lilamon merely grinned at her daughter and said, “Oh my, I didn’t think I’d actually become a grandmother so soon!”
“Mother!” Sakura said, face red with embarrassment. “I adopted him as a little brother, not as my son!”
“Yeah, Big Sis Sakura is the best sister I could ask for!” Mint chimed in from Dahlia’s arm. “We get to spend a lot of time together and see all kinds of neat stuff!”
“Oh, relax, dear. I was just teasing you.” Dahlia told her daughter with a chuckle. “Oh, I wish your father was home so I could show him our newest addition to the family, but he’s busy working at the festival right now.”
“That’s okay. I’m planning to be here for at least a few days, so We can introduce Mint to him when he gets home from work.” Sakura said.
“Well, why don’t you all come in the meantime.” Dahlia said before she led everyone into the house.
