Lotus stared up at the sky for a moment with his hands behind his head before stretching his arms upward with a loud yawn as he stopped near the middle of the park, it was around 3-4 pm? He couldn't really tell considering he had been out for quite some time looking for Gammy's... Friends? Parents? Someone or something that knew Gammy that's what he was looking for at least. "Man little buddy, I bet you got someone out there worried sick. Don't worry though I'll find em no problem." Lotus assured the small digimon currently hiding in his hood, glancing back at it he saw the small digimon curled up into a ball, seemed to be sleeping.
"Aww shoot, sorry little buddy. I'll keep it down a bit." Lotus whispered as he turned back to facing forward and started walking, it was a pretty nice day in the park didn't seem to be that many people around. Which would probably make it easier to look for fellow tiny blobs like Gammy, or at least something out of the ordinary. Reaching down Lotus grabbed the device his little buddy came with for a few moments wondering just what it was.
However to a tamer or someone who knew what digimon were it would more or less just look like a teenager standing with his digimon and digivice in clear eyesight of anyone the same height or taller then him, which Lotus didn't know he wasn't supposed to do! Fun how stuff like that works out sometimes.

Ryuji and his partner Yoshihiro were out wandering Shibuya since nine or was it ten in the morning. Neither could tell anymore as they seemed to have lost track of time. Around one Yoshihiro had decactivated his holosuit and floated up to Ryuji's backpack before disappearing within the depths of the bag before another human had so much as remotely gotten a look at the little Calumon. A short time after that Yoshihiro had fallen asleep. Deciding not to bother the digimon in his backpack Ryuji continued walking wondering what he and Yoshihiro would do that day. Maybe another trip to the Digital World was in order to break up the boredom.
Around three or four he heard Yoshihiro's voice from within the backpack as the digimon said "Ryuji, I'm sensing a digimon not far from here." Just then a yawning Yoshihiro poked his head out of the backpack and began looking around though not seeing anything at first it seemed he had pinpointed a direction and pointed towards the park nearby. "That way!"
Not one to argue with Yoshihiro regarding digimon in the Human World the eighteen year old tamer nodded and made his way to the park where they soon saw a teen in the park only to see Yoshihiro point at the boy and as they got closer Ryuji saw a digivice in the teens hand. There was no mistaking it. This person was a tamer much like him. Though he didn't see a digimon that didn't mean there wasn't one with him or nearby. Seeing Yoshihiro beginning to grow restless as if about to leap out of the backpack, Ryuji pushed the small digimon back in causing the Calumon to indignantly squeak "Ryuji, what's the big idea?"
"Not now, Yoshihiro, shh." Ryuji said in a hushed tone.

Welp staring at this thing wasn't really going to get him anywhere soon now was it, spinning the digivice in his hand Lotus tossed it up into the sky carelessly before grabbing it and putting it in his jacket pocket, he'll think about what to do with it later on. "Could belong to Gammy like mom said, though I don't think that little guy could hold a device like this." Reaching up he tapped the digimon in his hood, they stirred slightly but didn't show any signs of waking up. "Little buddy ain't exactly got hands after all." He mused to himself as he started walking.
As he did though he felt someone looking at him, given what he normally did he was usually used to having eyes on him. Glancing around for a few moments he eventually spotted the person who might've been looking at him, might not of been either but Lotus wasn't the type to shy away just because of a what if. Plus they looked like they were trying to contain something in their backpack? A pet of some kid, if so that was a pretty bad place to keep your pet!
"Yo! Looking for me or something stranger?" Lotus asked in his typical cheery voice as he walked over with a wave, as he did it would seem Gammy woke up quickly going from the hood hoping up onto Lotus' head with a smile.
"We've been found! Lotus is here." He said not really understanding what was going on, thankfully Lotus' hair covered him up decently, the perks of having large spiky hair were finally shining through.

Ryuji watched as the teen tossed the digivice in the air before catching and pocketing it while talking and a volume Ryuji couldn't hear but Yoshihiro had heard everything and his head popped out of his tamer's backpack. As for the other human he seemed to get the vibe that someone was looking at him and turned to look at Ryuji apparently not noticing Yoshihiro poking out or he would of said something.
When the stranger acknowledged him asking if he was looking for him, Ryuji was about to answer when a small digimon leapt onto the teen's head vanishing into the spikey hair. That and Yoshihiro hopped out of Ryuji's backpack, landed on his tamer's shoulder and, then said "See, Ryuji, I was right about the digimon being near."
Ryuji was glad barely a soul was in the park so no one else noticed this whole thing. He didn't want to explain the little Beanie Baby sized digimon on his shoulder to someone who was not knowledgeable on digimon. Sighing he looked at Yoshihiro before he muttered "So much for a low profile." When the small digimon spoke from within the spiky hair of the stranger he heard the words We've been found! Lotus is here. "Don't worry. My partner and I mean you no harm. I'm Amano, Ryuji and this is my partner Yoshihiro." Ryuji had greeted the teen the traditional Japanese way as he would do sometimes in Japan out of habit.

As Lotus walked up he did start to notice something hop out of the strangers backpack, something that did look similar to Gammy! Was this someone who knew the little dude? "A digimon being near? Is that what these things are called?" Lotus asked holding his hand up and pressing against Gammy, who just giggled slightly.
"Digimon, Digital monster are the champions!" Gammy sung in a sing song kinda voice cheerfully, did he know what that word was or did hearing it from this other little dude just so happy to reawaken the phrase for him? Huh that would be really weird.
What happened next though confused Lotus, who tilted his head to the side with his eyes narrowing a bit, taking those words in. "You mean us no harm? I mean. Why would you, we're in the middle of the park?" Did people in japan just like, punch each other in the park or something? Back where he lived before there was never a chance of something like that happening. "Well guess it doesn't matter, names Lotus and this is my current little buddy Gammy." Lotus once again poked the small In-training digimon.
"Gammy and Lotus!" He cheerfully said their names smiling all the while.
"Found this little guy out on the street a few days ago, figured I'd look around and see if anyone knows him. You wouldn't happen to know of anyone missing a small white blob creature would you?" Yeah Lotus was 100% clueless but he was trying to do the right thing and look for parents that probably didn't exist at the moment, least not in this world.

"Yup. I'm a digimon like the one nesting in your hair." Yoshihiro said as Lotus' touching caused Gammy to giggle before singing. Curious Yoshihiro floated closer to Lotus for a better look before scrunching his face in confusion before he said "This one looks like no digimon I've heard of before. Might be a relatively new species as those pop up from time to time."
"I didn't mean to confuse you but sometimes people attack and rob others in the park even here in Japan. Anyway nice to meet you Lotus and Gammy." Ryuji said offering Lotus his hand to shake.
Meanwhile Yoshihiro was looking Gammy over and said "Hey Ryuji this guy reminds me of those dinosaur skeletons. You know the one with a shield on the back of the head and three horns."
"You mean the Triceratops?"
"Yeah. Only in Gammy's case he is just like the skulls only much smaller since he can hide in Lotus' hair."
Which brought up the big question why was Lotus just carrying Gammy in more or less the open like that. Sure Yoshihiro was currently out of his backpack but also had the option to use a holosuit. Then Lotus answered the question for him and Ryuji asked "Wait, he's not with you? Then why do you have a digivice?" Ryuji then dug into his pocket of his hoodie bringing out his digivice to show Lotus. The mostly white color scheme with the symbol of Yoshihiro's Crystal Matrix that was on the small digimon's forehead definitely indicated a tamer partnered with a Calumon.

Lotus didn't seem to care too much as Yoshihiro got up in his face looking up at the small digimon, while he was still confused he supposed that meant they had no idea who they were. "So you don't know him huh? Well I guess I can't expect the first stranger I run into to know anything about him after all. That'd be way too coincidental." Lotus let out a laugh with a small shrug, would've been nice but hey.
What was said next though did shock Lotus, taking a step back eyes a bit wide with shock. "They do? Thought stuff like that was only in those old Kung fu movies. I don't wanna be wary of any passerby though..." That sounded like it'd suck, hopefully it wasn't too rampet of a problem around here.
While they talked about Dinosaur skeletons Lotus tapped one of the horns on Gammy's head, it was sharp but the whole idea on being a dinosaur didn't seem right to Lotus, more like a dino shaped blob then anything else really.
Though the next part definitely confused Lotus quite a bit, blinking slightly tilting his head to the side confused. "Digivice?" Lotus reached into his pocket pulling out the device alongside Ryuji, sure enough it was pretty similar. "I mean yeah I guess he's with me, this is all kinda confusing at the moment I just found him a few days ago outside my house. I err, don't really know much about him aside from his name."
"Gammy!" He said as instant response to the word name.
"Yeah that, it was all he said for a while before he like, I dunno grew into that form or something, turned around for a moment and boom suddenly he has tiny horns." Yeah Lotus was completely and totally lost on this whole thing.

"Maybe Gammy has some friends besides you out here or in the Digital World where digimon come from. There are a few portals into that world from here in Shibuya but I've always used the train station." Ryuji said while Yoshihiro continued to look at Gammy as if trying to figure the little one out.
Ryuji smiled before he said "Yeah I was confused at first when I met Yoshihiro but if it wasn't for him I would of been bug food during my first trip to the Digital World."
Gammy's response to hearing the word name made Yoshihiro chuckle at how cute he sounded. Then the conversation got more interesting as Lotus mentioned Gammy growing into the form he was in and having horns. "Ryuji, that sounds like digivolution." the tiny martial artist said to his tamer though it was likely the word digivolution would confuse the teen and who could honestly blame him?
Responding to Yoshihiro with a nod, he said "Yeah that's what I was thinking too. Maybe his egg got left here in Shibuya somehow and you found Gammy shortly after he hatched. That would explain a lot."

Wait what was that, digital world? Portals? "Whoa, Whoa slow it down there buddy, Digital world? Like a whole nother planet full of things like Gammy? And the train leads there?" That was quite a lot of information to drop on him all at once, crossing his arms Lotus thought about it for a moment before smiling and throwing his hands behind his head. "Welp, guess that's a simple enough answer. Occam's Razor and all that, no point in fretting about it." He didn't seem too bothered at the earth shattering news that there was another world connected to theirs. "Wonder if they'd be interested in seeing me do some acrobatic tricks, oh maybe they can even fly that'd be awesome." And already he was thinking about what he'd do if he met some of these other digimon.
Digivolution? Well that seemed to be the correct choice as Gammy then replied upon hearing the word. "Digivolve, into Champions!" He once again sang out, where he was getting the lyrics for this was something Lotus had no idea.
"Huh, so I guess it's just like them. Growing, huh if so wonder how big he'll get. Maybe I should get a bigger hoodie!" It was simple enough to understand, though he couldn't say he understood the process fully it was still enough information to go on.
"Well if he's left behind on accident guess I gotta go look in that world, If I don't find anyone looking for em guess he'll just stick with me. How's that sound little buddy?" Lotus asked glancing up at the digimon.
"Lotus and Gammy! Lotus and Gammy!" He took that as a yes, at least he knew Lotus' name! Before he could barely get out the Lo part.
"So just a train ride over? Seems pretty simple." There had to be more to it then that right?

Ryuji scratch the back of his head before he said "Sorry about cramming all that info at you without much explanation. The Digital World exists alongside our own and there are many different digimon of various shapes and sizes. As for the train it seems to be only accessible to those with digivices and most humans don't even know digimon or their world even exist. So digimon usually keep a low profile with a device called a holosuit which lets them take a form resembling a lifeform from this world. Human disguises are most common though."
"Nice digimon don't mind being entertained and some can even fly unlike me since I only float in this form." Yoshihiro said deciding to join in helping provide information.
Yoshihiro chuckled and said "While I don't know how big Gammy will get some digimon become gigantic so a hoodie bigger or not wouldn't likely help much unless you have one he will be able to wear in his stronger forms."
"The train ride is usually pretty simple as the train that takes passengers to and from the Digital World is a large digimon called Trailmon. They usually aren't an agressive species since the worst Yoshihiro and I have seen are grumpy Trailmon."

.......Oh, well that would make sense it was a secret considering Lotus had never heard about them before so without saying anything he just slowly reached up and lightly pushed Gammy back into his hoodie and off his head, who responded with a small oof but didn't seem hurt at all by the action. "So I guess me wandering around all day with him on my head was a bad idea, I mean it makes sense it's something you keep on the down low.... Maybe I shouldn't of told my parents about him either then, hehe." Seems he was just one bad interaction short of blowing the entire secret thing sky high.
"You say nice digimon, which implies there are some who are not so nice. Though guess that makes sense, Takes all kinds." With that Lotus just smiled looking back up at Gammy. "Don't worry though little buddy, we run into any not so nice things I'll protect ya." There was a muffled yay from the small digimon from the hood, seems he liked that idea.
"They're really called Trailmon? Well I guess I should just look for a giant train with a face on it when I go, though I do have to admit riding inside something that has the ability to be grumpy. Well that sounds like a pretty interesting experience to say the least." Digital monsters, talking trains. If Lotus wasn't sure this wasn't he might expect this to be some kinda dream he was having.
"Though if the little buddy does end up bigger then me guess I'd hafta get a huge house or something, probably be a pretty huge food bill depending on how large he gets." Hopefully it wasn't too big, though even if it was he'd still be Lotus' little buddy.

"I don't think telling your parents was that bad an idea. I brought Yoshihiro to meet my grandparents and they adore him so as long as he isn't shown off to everyone it should be okay." Ryuji said watching as Lotus gently shoved Gammy back into his hoodie and the little one didn't seem that bothered by it in the slightest.
"In the Digital World it's more like humans and digimon look out for each other. As Gammy gets stronger he'll be able to digivolve to new forms and be able to defend not just himself but both of you." Yoshihiro said as he floated back over to Ryuji and landed on his tamer's shoulder.
"Yeah I know the name Trailmon sounds obvious for a train digimon but it fits them well enough. That and they seem to come in various different forms as well." Ryuji said thinking of the various Trailmon he and Yoshihiro had ridden over the year they had worked together.
"Don't worry to much about size as digimon can also revert back to previous stages by dedigivolving. Yoshihiro does this all the time after his higher level forms aren't needed anymore."
