Ohhh boy.
Eika hefted the obviously-heavy dinosaur plush thing...? along, entering the train station with obvious effort. They were already out in public, so trying to undo Mamoru's digivolution thing was out of the question, and since they were going to go to the Digital World anyway, it wasn't going to be worth it.
How do they even get to the Digital World anyway, though? Mamoru said something about a Trailmon, and after a lot of going back and forth, Eika was able to figure out that he meant a train. However, now that she was looking at the trains with all the security (what even happened, anyway? She heard something about the Entertainment District...), she felt out of water, out of her comfort zone, and definitely out of her mind for coming here.
She stopped and nervously looked around. Oh, it was going to be suspicious if she was just loitering with this hyper-heavy doll, wasn't it! She nervously continued along, trying not to look too suspicious. At least things could have been worse, she thought to herself. Mamoru could have declined. She had learned on the way there that Mamoru had a certain hatred towards being picked up, one he was barely willing to shelf if only to prevent Eika from getting arrested for having an intelligent, miniature T-rex with super-long arms without a permit. Was there even a permit for that sort of thing? You know what, nevermind.
She moved forward as quickly as she could without making grunts and other noises, trying her best to ignore the stares of people who didn't want to be rude enough to ask what was up with the monster plush in her arms. She hoped there were no children. Children are scary and unpredictable and loud and would probably draw things on her face if she tried to take a nap near them. They would probably color it in, too. Cripes.
There was supposed to be a strange train in here, wasn't there...? She continued through the train station, nervous, until she finally reached the end of the line, or so it seemed. Oh, crap. There was only an abandoned train that was there, hooked up to some sort of weird console that kind of looked like―
Oh.
Ohhhh.
Eika moved over to the console, looking it over. It kind of looked like her Digivice, or at least it mimicked the shape of it really well. "I'm going to set you down for a moment, okay, Mamoru?" Eika whispered to the "doll" before she gently placed him onto the ground with a bit of effort. Mamoru, playing along, stayed sitting up for a few moments before limply flopping onto his side, careful to control his momentum to prevent a loud whump from resounding in the busy terminal. Eika took out her Digivice (RIP phone) and set it in the console, the device resting perfectly snugly. A moment later, the door to the abandoned train paused, then opened.
Eika took her Digivice back and picked Mamoru back up, hefting him into the empty train car and setting him down in a chair. "O-okay," she said. "Nobody's here."
Mamoru picked his head up from its previous droop and looked around the train. "Okay, this is the Trailmon," he said. Eika resisted the urge to correct him―"it's called a train in the human world," or something like that―and looked around the train with him.
And that's when the train shuddered, then sped forward faster than a gamer to the Mountain Dew aisle. Eika tried to screech in shock, but was quickly cut off by being thrown onto her rear by the sudden lurch of speed. Mamoru, thinking quickly, snatched a handful of her sweater and gripped onto the railing next to his seat, pulling her forward with impressive strength to be hugged between him and the rail, which she clung to as well as the train shot forward into the unknown.
