Some time had passed once again since Arthur had his latest adventure and this one was that of him having met and having interacted with a certain sentient fireball digimon (i.e., DemiMeramon) called "Flynt" and his two companions, "Kshin" and "Grace", while out in Miyashita Park, hot on the trail of a lost pet that he had been asked to find by one of his family friends. On this particular adventure, Arthur had also gotten the chance to meet yet another fellow Chosen/Digidestined human named "Yuji" and his Tentomon partner named "Kazuo". Since then, Arthur had once again gotten back to the grind of his daily life of high society training, his scholarly duties as a student of Tokyo U., assisting his parents with the running of the business conglomerate owned and ran by their family, and so on. In this manner, time had marched on for Arthur until present day wherein, he was currently gearing up for another sojourn into through the Digital World
Ah, are we readying ourselves for another sojourn into my home, the Digital World, Master Edogawa?
Arthur heard his "Wormmon" Sprite spirit speak thusly in his mindscape while appearing in ethereal form as per his usual preference and so, he also manifested mental avatar in his mindscape in order to talk to said spirit digimon
Indeed. It has been quite a while since we last visited it due to just how preoccupied with and engaged in the fulfillment of all my human world familial duties and academic obligations as of late. I am sure you must be missing it as well, seeing as it is your true home, eh?
In response to his remark, he saw his "Wormmon" Sprite spirit nod or what would be considered a nod for a caterpillar anyway. After that, he disconnected from his mindscape and refocused his consciousness and attention back on the material world, and more specifically on his enormous walk-in closet which held a plethora of different kinds of expensive designer clothes for each of the four seasons, some casuals, some formals, some semi-formals, and so on.
Now then, its is just about winter time here, so perhaps I should prepare for such climate in the Digital World too...though, of course, I have not obtained any data supporting this assumption of mine...oh well, nothing ventured, nothing gained, I suppose...
Musing thus silently, he took out a set of heavy winter gear as he fully expected the Digital World to be ice cold and blanketed with snow and put it on fully

Then, he checked to make sure no one was watching him currently, especially his Chatty Cathy personal maid squad, and then activated the Digi-Port function of his D-Tector digivice that he had bought on a previous trip to the Digital World by saying the usual command phrase he had been instructed to by the associated vendor
"Digi-Port Open! Destination: Western Flatlands!"
That caused a beam to shoot forth from said digivice and rip open a swirling blackish void in the air in front of him which he then tugged on to open fully into the portal to take him to his intended destination
Then, he stepped inside and within the next minute or so, he was instantly teleported to said destination in the Digital World. However, when he got there, he was confronted by a rather nasty weather-related surprise...namely, that of the weather conditions at his destination being that of the peak of summer with the sun blasting everything there with its merciless rays. Naturally, this threw even the usually calm, cool, and collected Arthur for a major loop, as the saying went in the vernacular since he was now sweating bullets like there was no tomorrow due to his attire abosrbing and trapping all that unbearable heat snugly around him.
What...in blue blazes?! Did I make a mistake in my destination specification, perhaps? This is the Digital World, right?...So, then if the Digital World is supposed to mirror the Human World, why is it the height of summer here?!
He mused thus silently, racking his brain in a desperate effort to figure out just what could be the cause behind this apparent disconnect between the human world wherein it was clearly almost winter time as attested to by the bone-chilling cold that was now beginning to pervade everything there. So, he began to investigate the cause behind this by reopening the Digi-Port and exiting the Digital World, which then brought him back to his bedroom in the Human World wherein, he was assailed by the cold again, though since he had his winter gear on, it did not matter much.
I was right, it DEFINITELY winter here in Shibuya...alright then, now to re-enter the Digital World again...perhaps a different destination?
Musing thus, he activated the Digi-Port function of his D-Tector Digivice again, this time sending himself to the Server Woods region in the Eastern Timberlands area of the Digital World. However, upon arrival, he was confronted by the same unbearably blazing hot weather which signified the season being the height of summer in the Digital World at this time.
So...yet again, I find myself in the height of summer upon arrival...even if my destination was completely different this time...and this is most certainly the Digital World...there is no question about it...still, this is most peculiar...maybe the third time will be the charm...
Musing thus silently again, he decided to open the Digi-Port again and transported himself back to his bedroom in the Human World where it was winter season still. This time, he did not rush back immediately, but rather waited a few days before trying his third investigative expedition in this attempt of his to figure out the cause of this apparently disparity between the Human and Digital Worlds. Then, when his intended day arrived at last, he wasted no time in gearing up with his winter clothes and hurrying off to the Digital World just as he had done the previous two times, with his destination this time being the Snowflake Village region of the Northern Prominence area of the Digital World. This time, he was met by a landscape that was covered in snow, but yet, the weather was still the height of summer with the sun being as intolerable as it had been in his previous two trials.
So, neither the wait time, nor the destination type has anything to do with the climactic dissonance I am experiencing in the Digital World, eh? What a strange realm this is...
Fortunately for him, his "Wormmon" Sprite spirit chimed in with an explanation after appearing once again in his mindscape
Master Edogawa, perhaps I can be of assistance here...you see, while it IS true that the Digital and Human worlds do mirror each other...that does not hold true in the sightest for their respective spaciotemportal progression rates. More precisely, for each day that passes in the Human World, 7 days will have passed in the Digital World.
Arthur was quite surprised at this revelation and realized that he had not waited long enough whilst back in the Human World for the time to pass in the Digital World
Ah, I see now...that explains why I have been failing in my investigations thus far regarding this matter...you have my gratitude for this explanation...I shall commit this to memory henceforth and prepare accordingly before undertaking any future such sojourns to the Digital World...
Arthur spoke mentally to his his "Wormmon" Sprite spirit and then inquired further as to possible blanket solution to this conundrum
Since the preparation for all eventualities would be highly inefficient and illogical for us to do, might there be some other more elegant, and more universally efficacious solution to this rather troublesome problem we are facing regarding the seasonal dissonance between the Human and Digital Worlds?
Upon hearing this, his "Wormmon" Sprite spirit thought for a few minutes and then remarked
Well, there IS this little device called the EV Suit if you are interested in purchasing it, Master Edogawa...it is basically a device that generates a skintight coating of shielding energy around you that renders you effectively immune to any and all naturally occurring environmental-related phenomena, regardless of where and/or what time at which you may be visiting the Digital World...I do believe it is the simplest and most effective solution to our problem...and it is quite inexpensive as well, so it will not be a strain on your digital finances either...So, if you command it, then I could get into contact with and set up a meeting with an old associate of mine who is now a vendor of these devices among other such gadgets that are designed primarily to assist DigiDestined humans whilst they are in the Digital World...
Arthur was amazed when he heard this as he had not expected the Digital World to have such conveniences for humans such as himself. So, naturally, he asked his "Wormmon" Sprite spirit to do just that and after a few days of waiting, he was able to meet with said vendor and purchase an "EV Suit" device for himself.
This will facilitate all my future investigative expeditions to the Digital World greatly indeed. However, to be on the safe side...I should probably also ask my Wormmon spirit to keep a record of any weather related changes he may detect in the Digital World through his sources therein...
Arthur mused as he headed back to the Human World after purchasing the "EV Suit" device from the vendor in question, looking forward to having a much easier time in the Digital World, at least with respect to weathering any climactic challenges that the realm may confront him with in his future sojourns therein.
