Kai didn't even know why she signed up for this at times, having to remind herself the series of events that lead to this choice. She listed herself as a strong and poignant young woman who tries to live with a sense of elegance, heavy aspirations to become a lawyer, her cooking prowess and her skilled handcraftg skills. She would then pad out the profile a few mundane generic interests like scenic walks, and whatnot before she did a phone interview with one of their agents.
She almost forgot about the service till two days later when she got a call from the matchmaking service claiming they have a potential match, however they informed Kai that the girl was not entirely matching her in the self confidence department and quite, reclusive from the idea of strangers, she was offered the ability to say no but was forewarned. Kai agreed before she received the profile of the girl except for a photo to preserve the blind aspect of the setup, along with a code for a special app that'd allow for anonymous chatting so Kai and her date could arrange for a location to meetup on the day of the event. However Kai had to call on others for help as she would most certainly need t for preparing for this date, mostly in the attire department as she was worried about scaring the girl off if the matchmakers were concerned about it. So she got Tera, her Pteranomon Digimon partner, and her neighbor Chelsea, another human quite familiar with the Digital World as something called a Spirit user, over for help with her outfit choices as the three of them were in Kai's bedroom going over everything Kai had, while Kai was writing down lists of every potential outfit they created with a pros and cons list and a rating system based on the varying opinions.
They spent a matter of hours going through possible combinations before settling on one look. This outfit consisted of a dark blue long sleeved high collared top with puffy light blue sleeves, tucked into a long light blue skirt that matched the light blue of the collar and cuffs except for the dark blue trims, while a belt of an even lighter shade of blue is looked around and tied off. For a choice of shoes, it waws a hot debate between heels and flats as they did not want to risk setting off any anxiety attacks but they chose a nice pair of dark blue heels that accented her figure perfectly, while still not being too noticeable under her skirt which went down almost all the way to her ankles but was about half a foot away from the ground. Lastly a matter of accessorizing the outfit, this was done with a great deal of care and scrutiny. In the end a minimalistic approach to jewelry was deemed to be the best choice with a simple gold necklace with a crescent moon shape filled with tiny gems, a pretty yet simple piece that her date can even ask about it if they have nothing to talk about. Secondly Kai was wearing a small and simple silver ring, on the top of which had small gems in a row with the colors of the pride flag, a small but simple gesture to help ease the woman into thinking that she was on a date with someone interested in her.
However most interesting of all the choices was her pair of fox frame glasses, as in truth her sight was flawless. These glasses were fake, false glasses that she wears for interpersonal situations as part of a strange illusion she has while wearing them. In the past she found wearing glasses somehow made her more approachable and enhance people's responses to her, even once someone reported her cooking tasted better when she wore her glasses. Some speculated that her appearance was less naturally intimidating due to the glasses, while others just thought it'd also helped serve as a prop when she removed them. Lastly they decided to keep her black lipstick the same for the time being, it wasn't too scary all things considered and something of her normalcy would help if the date extended to something beyond a one time thing, aside from her normal makeup the only thing different was getting her nails done in a dark blue as well. Kai was dressed in the outfit he had designed looking before a mirror as she did two half twirls.
"Simple and elegant, the shades of blue are gentle yet appealing to the eyes, like a gentle wave that's slowly approaching. Form fitting in just the right places to flatter your physique without excessively advertising it. This is a perfect outfit for your date." Tera said as she was laying on the floor, craning her neck watching as Chelsea nodded in agreement. "True, your style isn't really provocative to begin with and this, perfect for anything but conveying you wanna go fast or make a move." She included as Kai ran her fingers threw her hair for the moment as she pictured something in her mind.
"Should I do my hair up? A ponytail or braid? There may be time for that." She said before both ladies shook their heads quickly at the same time. "Nope! Putting your hair up can be constituted as getting ready for war or to pick your chess opponent's mind apart piece my piece, and you want to convey you're open to the girl. With that outfit, keeping it down makes you look like your calmer, ready to invite people in and chat." Chelsea said as she walked up behind Kai and held her hair into a ponytail to shoe her what she want before letting go near the end. "Alright, well if I'm to make my date I guess I should probably get going anyways." She said before she pulled out her Digivice and pointed it at Tera, who groaned as she was Digitized and returned into the device.
"Expecting an all out brawl?" Chelsea said as she cocked an eyebrow towards Kai as she stuffed her Fusion Loader into her dark brown purse. "Never a good idea to leave this thing out of my sight, besides me going on a date is a rare thing as it is likely that I'll need this to fend off an apocalypse." She explained as she headed for the door with Chesea following, shrugging. "True enough I suppose." She said as the two left the apartment before they would part ways.

Kai planned don a restaurant in particular after a nice walk through a park. She gave specific instructions so she made she she adhered to them as well. She was early even for her standards, arriving a full ten minutes behind her fifteen minute before schedule. She bought a single black rose from a flower stand before entering the park, walking through all the way to a bridge over a large pond, waiting for her date to arrive. She told her date she'd be waiting, standing atop this particular bridge at the center holding a single black rose. She would look off into the waters as she would calmly await her date, careful with how she held the black rose and her own posture, her own breathing. Her gentle brown eyes gently focused on the water, her presence was beautiful and elegant, and she tried to pose everything so that her date would feel comfortable, even having her approach Kai was schemed so she wouldn't feel pressured from having Kai approach her.
All Kai could do now was wait patiently, and hope her date would come.
