A wish for another, and a strange artifact

Kuro was once again on a journey through the digital world, having heard myths of powerful artifacts that can digivolve the user, Kuro decided to look into this a bit more, following the lead given to him by a kindly Birdramon who had settled where he was staying he set out. Heading towards an old fort long abandoned. After a few sunny days of pleasent travel he found himself in Backup Bayou where he had heard there was once a proud and massive kingdom, a good as any start ,especially since he had already been made aware of the aforementioned fort's location. It took a few hours of scouting about and asking some tentomon he bumped into but he eventually found himself standing in the courtyard of an abandoned fort. The left over husks of Gardromon scattered the courtyard, with broken swords and pillers that were once held up a stunning canopy overhead, Kuro looked around a with interest and gloom, he felt bad for the those who had lost their lives in this battle only taking solace in the fact that all digimon are eventully reborn in the Primary Village. He decided not to dwell any longer then necessary in this place.
"A den of death, and sorrow," He muttered as the Black Agumon stalked up the ruined stairway. A feeling of dread slipping under his scales, he suddenly noticed he had lost his sense of smell, panic flooding into his veins like a tidal wave. He looked around feeling bare and vunarble without his most important sense, as a reptile digimon his sense of sight was not as good as that of other creatures such as Humans, so now the world to him was not but a fuzzy picture that only focused on things not more then 20ft away from him. After some deep breaths, he regained his composure.
"No-one is coming to save you Kuro, get a grip and focus on the mission," He scolded, looking up at the tattered banner that hung above the caved in entrance to the fort proper. After stepping closer he saw a strange and somewhat menacing orange emblem upon it, he didn't know what it stood for but something in the back of his mind stirred at the sight of it, the same thing that had gotten him kicked out of his tribe. Thus Kuro decided this was a bad omen, but it was too late to turn back now. He was determined to get to the bottom of this mystery, a part of him hoping it would recover some lost memories from his past life.
Taking a deep breath the young digimon stomped into the fort.
It was dark inside the fort, a the humidity of the area around it adding a damp atmosphere, and allowing moss to grow on the sides of the walls and on the floor, strange clusters of green growth sticking to the ceiling. He felt his sense dim a millimeter by milliammeter for every step he took into this damned place. It was disturbing to say the least and Kuro was beginning to regret coming here, but he was too stubborn (Or perhaps too foolish) to stop now. He stomped futher into the fort down a flight of stairs only hesitating briefly as he peered into the inky blackness. But he pushed through and stormed down the stairs, and within minutes he had lost his second sense, that of sight. This time he was ready for the incoming panic and shoved it down. Marching ever deeper down the steps his sense stilling dulling. It was was horribly dark in stairwell, he could feel the cold knaw at his scales as it seemed to attack him from all sides, the wet of the stairs and walls did not make this any better only adding to his discomfort. He could hear the dripping of water as it came from the top of the top of the ceiling and slid down the sides of the wall, it was calming at first, but now it was quickly becoming irritating.
"Ugh if at least had a... Wait," Kuro face palmed at the realization, why he had not thought of this sooner was beyond him but it mattered not, "Pepper Breath," Kuro said but instead of letting the fire ball fling from his mouth he kept it within his maw, lighting his way ever so slightly. He had to keep his head at an angle to keep it lit as he carefully walked down the stairs. The feeling of a fireball in ones mouth is not a pleasent one, or at least Kuro did not seem to think so. But it kept him warm, and lit his way so it was plenty fine by the rookie's standards. This new found comfort calming his nerves Kuro began to let his mind wander, this was a mistake.
A dark presence once again prodded at his mind, but this time it spoke.
"Come hither little one, you are familiar to me," the sinister voice crackled in his mind, somewhat famliar but it made his scales crawl none the less, he suddenly felt a strong urge to turn and run, but he gathered the parts of his willpower and slammed them together pushing him faster down the stairs. Despite himself he was now sprinting down the stairwell, having abandoned his fireball, he ran blindly in the dark, to the point where he couldn't even feel the floor underneath him or hear the sound of water, now running with nothing but the lingering taste of flame on his tongue he charged down the final stairs into a room that was lit by naught but a beam of sunlight that came down from a hole in the ceiling and the many floors above.
"Yes little one come here , come claim your destiny~!" It said with a mixture of mockery and cooing, like a sick joke. Kuro looked at where the light had hit, a strange metalic disc the size of a dinner place with a strange golden crest of sorts what looked like an S on its side.
"What is it?" Kuro asked the voice.
"An item blessed by the crest of destiny, only those who are worthy, such as you, can weild its power!" the voice said with a encouraging tone that came off as the tone a bully would use to convince another kid to do something stupid.
A part of Kuro wanted to pick that item up, but the rest of him had a bad feeling about it, he pondered it for a few minuities wondering what kind of powers the item even had, sadly this is where Kuro's undying curiosity got the better of him (surely not for the last time either). Kuro walked over into the light and pulled the metal disc from its pedestal. A dark fog erupted from the pedestal sending Kuro flying backward.
"FOOL!!!" the fog bellowed as it began to take the form a tall , thin ,devilsh creature with ragged wings, curved horns, and long tallons. The mark from the banner upstairs emblazoned on its chest. "You have released me at last! Now I , Devimon, can reek havoic with my dark kin one again, ah when Lady Lilithmon sees that I have returned surely she will be over joyed," The Devimon monologed, as he parted his arms wide, "And with the disc of wishing, in hand she will surely reward me greatly, yes perhaps she will even grant the power to digivolve, to better serve her lovely form! YES TRUELY I WILL BE THE GREATEST OF ALL DEVIMON- where did that little black agumon go?"
Where indeed my dear viewer, for you see! During the long and drawn out monoluge Kuro decided to politly slip away, as he deemed that althought he had many things, such as wonderful friends , and this lovely disc, he did not have whatever the hell was standing infront him stroking its own ego. And thus channeling the data of jojo's bizzare adventure deep inside his digi core, he turn and dipped harder then a tyranomon at a wargreymon wrestling competition. Kuro had found a new kind of speed he had never felt before and was now well on his way out of the fort, rushing into the light of day.
"GET BACK HERE YOUR MISRABLE WELP!" Devimon screeched behind him, flying at top speed in a fit of rage.
"I politely decline your offer to murder kill me, but thank you very much for the offer," Kuro shot back as his tiny legs cartoonishly zipped away.
Kuro dashed down the stairs almost tripping as his sense of smell returned to him, but what made him acutlly trip was a new voice in his head.
"Noble Digimon, hail in your hands a device long sense lost to me, I am trapped not far from your location please hurry and I will assist you in repelling the Devimon that seeks your destruction," The angelic voice echoed in his head.
"Sweet whe- oh mind map," Kuro whistled as a feeling of a general direction to go in, he ran out of the courtyard Devimon screech but a few steps behind him, he saw his destination a block of stone that jutted out like a leggo in a sand box, but the leggo was some kind of black stone mini tower, and the sand was dirt. The sound of the air being cut by sharp claws, sang behind him as he narrowly avoided being cut by Devimon's talons.
"Give it to me!!!" he hissed.
"Give me a mintue to think about it," Kuro offered with a slight grin.
"How about I just cut your to ribbons?" Devimon snapped back with a hint of amusment.
"Nah that doesn't work for me, I have a doctor's appointment tommarow," The tiny dino sassed.
"Oh you know I'm something of a doctor myself, my specialty lies in surgery and acupuncture," Devimon snarled with anothe swipe barely missing.
"Jeez dude its just a check up, nothing serious, you need to take anger mangement classes," Kuro said as he rounded upon his destination.
"Oh I can manage it just find, its very usefull in destroying my enemy's!!!" Devimon roared as he let out a swarm of bats shooting towards our hero.
Hearing the sound of tiny wings, Kuro front flipped forward. "AERIEL PEPPER BREATH!!!" he shouted a ball of fireball streaking towards the swarm, as he reached the point in the flip that he faced them, it hit half the swarm incinerating them and causing the others to hesitate. A hesitation just long enough for Kuro to reach the burried tower the black stone glowing white as a angelic figure exploded from the tower, the artifact glowing with the same light.
"Angemon? Very well, a la-" Devimon locked eyes with Kuro for a second, "Purple eyes... I see.... thats is fotuitous..." he cackled as he suddenly sunk into the shadows of the tower and disappeared.
"Cowards," the muscle bound angel stated coldly, "But no matter, thank you friend," The digimon said suddenly gaining a cheerfully smile and turning to the young reptile. "If you don't mind?" He outstreched his hand.
Kuro hesitated but handed it over, "Who are you?"
"Angemon, friend, and you?" Angemon said seemingly more intrested in the plate as it began to channel energy through it.
"Kuro!" The black Agumon replied with a pride.
"Ah black, a bit on the nose but quaint," Angemon mumbled, "Still has two charges that's good,"
"What is that?" Kuro asked pointing at the disk.
"A disk of destiny, capable of changing the destiny of other beings, it can also be used to travel to the higher planes such as the realm which holy digimon dwell, my home..." Angemon mumbled as he fiddled with it , before shooting up, "Oh my apologies you must want some kind of reward yes?"
"Well not really but I won't turn it down," Kuro said sheepishly.
"Well, my friend what wish would you make on this, just one please I need one of the charges to get home," Angemon said handing the plate back.
Kuro thought for a second before asking, "For others only right?"
Angemon nodded.
Kuro shrugged , "In that case I wish, for every good hearted, hard working person regardless of species to have a perfect day tomorrow,"
"What a wonderful wish," Angemon said taking the disc after it had blasted a pulse of energy, "I hope to meet you again noble Kuro," and with that a flash of light emanated from him and he was gone.
"Well that was a dead end, but exciting," Kuro smiled choosing a direction and walking, continuing his ever going journey.
