Alpha sat staring over the cliff of the valley at the very front of the village, hood over his head as he looked downward, it had been a while since he was dragged here by his mo- Well by Ciel after learning just what the hell he and Beta were. If he was honest the time was actually pretty nice, Despite being large destructive dragon's they had given him plenty of space to think things out. Well that and a bunch of training. Looking down at his claws Alpha clenched them for a moment feeling his strength, if he had to guess he was probably a lot closer in raw power the Beta then he had been before. Though he still felt a bit off about the whole thing it was nice to know he was at least making some progress.
However his thoughts were interrupted by someone from behind grabbing his hood and almost ripping it off his head, pulling it back down showing his actual head and face. Turning around Alpha saw that it was the boss of this little village. A RizeGreymon X that everyone just seemed to call Boss for simplicities sake, Alpha was no exception at this point. "I keep telling you kid, if you wear that hood like that you're gonna catch your death out here. Hot enough without some warm clothing on you." She sounded genuinely concerned as she walked forward standing next to Alpha. "So what's on your mind kid? Getting a lay of the land before you go on your way? Figured you'd be resting or something." Right, that mission. He was going to be the lead on that.
"Tried to sleep but I couldn't, just came out here to think a little bit to myself." Alpha admitted, typically he'd lie about what he was doing but since the backlash of his lies before it was pretty clear to him that lying more wouldn't solve his problems. "But that Mission, the SOS signals. They're arriving soon right?" It happened a bit after he came, so the easy assumption was it had something to do with him. Alpha hoped he was wrong but there was a decent chance he wasn't.
"Yeah about that, you sure you want to go yourself? Don't get me wrong I know you can handle yourself but this could be pretty dangerous. Plenty of digimon here willing to risk their lives for a bit of glory for the tribe, you don't have to be one of them you know." She offered him a quick out, it was a simple suggestion, though judging by the look on the Hackmon's face he disagreed.
"No, this all started shortly after I arrived, so there's a good chance it's one of those digimon after me. I don't want anyone to get hurt because I was too much of a coward to fight my own battles." Alpha looked a little more downcast before adding. "Plus I promised my sister Beta that we'd take care of these threats ourselves, figured I should try to keep that promise even though I'm alone at the moment. Broke all my others one, I need to keep this one the best I can." Alpha let out a hollow laugh for a moment before shaking it off.
"Alright, just know if you need help we'll come at a moments notice, shouldn't be anything too difficult to deal with hopefully. Take all the time you need to get ready Alpha." Patting the Hackmon on the head the RizeGreymon X then made her way over to the entrance of the village standing near the front gate, two guards to either side of her. Whoever was arriving would probably easily see her even from some distance apart.
Alpha looked back as she walked away before looking over the cliffside once again. "Yeah, I'll take them down then. Maybe I'll feel like I deserve a second chance with Beta... I'm sorry, I hope you know that." With a sigh and a few quick breaths to keep his emotional state calm Alpha sat and waited for the arrival of whoever was coming to help.

It was a little hot for the flying plant girl, but Momo was determined to be good and not complain! She was one of the first to volunteer when Sakura asked for help to... help someone... do something... Sakura had explained it to her, but Momo didn't really understand it very well. But she figured that if she just tried really hard, that everything would work out okay!
Hotaru and Misaki were coming along, too! Hotaru didn't really seem to like talking to Momo very much so she was a little disappointed about that. But Sakura was really nice! And Misaki was nice too, even though she didn't do much talking... but she gave lots of headpats and smiled a whole bunch!
Anyways, as Momo was flitting her wings around high in the sky, she spotted a really big dinosaur cyborg guy and a little guy in a big hood! The cyborg looked a lot like Matsuri did when she was fused with Miki or Arisa! Momo began to descend as she approached.
Oh, and speaking of her friends, Momo liked Matsuri, Miki, and Arisa, too! Matsuri would always think up something fun to do, Miki never seemed to get annoyed at Momo no matter how many questions she asked, and Arisa was really friendly and was kind of like Misaki except that Arisa talked a whole bunch instead of not at all!
But Momo was getting sidetracked thinking about all the friends she had! After all, this was a super special mission they had to do! There was a chance that Momo and everyone else could make even MORE friends! Oh, but Momo didn't want to force people to be her friend just because she was helping them out with some trouble...
And speaking of trouble, Sakura really seemed bothered by some stuff lately, so Momo had to be extra helpful! And really attentive and stuff and-
"Eep!" The Pomumon had been so lost in her thoughts that she forgot to slow down before landing and crashed into the ground, her round body rolling along until she rolled clear off the cliff. "Noooooooooooooooooooo..." but Momo's death wail was cut short as she remembered that she could fly.
Flapping her little wings as fast and as hard as she could, Momo slowly began to ascend, making her way back up to the cliff and landing, clearly out of breath. After a long minute she stood up straight with the best posture her roly-poly body could allow.
"H-hello! I'm Momo and I'm here to help you today! My friends are on their way but I was told to scout ahead and then I spotted you guys, and there was the possibility that we made eye contact and it's rude to ignore someone after making eye contact so I decided to fly down here even though the rest of my friends aren't here yet! It's very nice to meet you all!"
And sure enough, a little ways off, approaching the group, was some more people. A pink Vmon walking in front of a human girl in a wheelchair. The girl had a large pair of reflective sunglasses over her face as she looked up to the sky. Behind her, was a pink-feathered Lucemon that hovered inches above the ground, pushing the wheelchair along in the process.
Truly, Alpha and RizeGreymon X's concerns would surely be assuaged now. Present: Hotaru Inoue Momo the Pomumon Sakura the Vmon Misaki the Lucemon
Notes: There are many good girls in Hotaru's army, but Momo is up there.

It was weird. Having been created for a very specific purpose, yet being given absolute freedom regarding the path to accomplish those goals was something that not even the most faithful of attendants could clearly process. A command as short as ‘Discover the World’ became a daunting task when the avenues for its completion were so many.
And that’s what puzzled En-En and Marina the most. Even if they had been masterfully crafted, at the end of the day they were mere servants or creations. They had received a directive, sure. But what was the best way to go about it? Maybe that was just another test. Would they really be worthy of their position if they didn’t bring results? They knew their master was a person of infinite generosity and magnanimity and wouldn’t throw them away so easily, but would they be able to live with themselves as a hindrance to such a magnificent being? Hardly.
The sun’s rays in the Valley of Dragon weren’t precisely in a forgiving mood, but it was a relief that a lone cloud that floated a few meters above the duo casted a comfortable shadow below them; the cloud followed them almost mechanically, and it was a bit obvious after a glance that it wasn’t a naturally occurring phenomenon. It made sense, considering that one of the digimons was a Weathermon, and it was no doubt the reason why they could tread so casually in such a hot environment.
Interestingly enough, the so-called Valley of Dragons was one of the areas their master hadn’t explored yet, so they had decided to journey to it. Sure, the trip here had been on the interesting side, but it was nothing the two couldn’t handle, just like trekking through this rocky expanse. “Hey~.” Marina’s voice resonated, even though there was no answer. “Hey~! En-En-nee~! I see something in the distance!” The Tutomon’s index pointed towards the general direction of what looked like a village of sorts; upon further inspection, the shapes of something enveloped in a cloak of sorts, a gigantic dinosaur/dragon with a revolver and a fruit attempted to fly despite not being great at it were the highlights of the sight. “That’s Momo! Let’s go say hi!”
Before the Weathermon could even respond with ‘who?’, her younger sister was already rushing in the trio’s direction. She could be really careless at times, but that was just how Marina was. She wished she could remember who on Earth this Momo was… or maybe not, once hindsight was acquired.
“Yooo~, Momo-chan!” The Tutomon called once she was within earshot. Did she know from such a distance that this was the aforementioned Pumomon, and not literally any other of the thousands there ought to be out there? Simple, but as a reporter never revealed its secret, it shall remain undisclosed. Once she closed the distance, she waved at everyone present. “It’s been a long time! How are you doing? Did you bring the others?” It was almost impossible to know how the Marina could speak that quickly, but she was simply doing it. “Is this some sort of family reunion? Why don’t you introduce them to me?”
En-En wondered how her sister had drawn that conclusion. She could get birds and dinosaurs being relatives, but wasn’t fruits and dinosaurs pushing it a little too far? Besides, she wasn’t even sure of what the cloaked digimon actually was. Maybe it was an icebreaker of some sort? Hard to know.

Gimme da posts for this one
"Should we really be doing something like this, Brother? We're still just kids ourselves... I don't really know how much help we can be to the dragons."
"Well it's too late to turn back now, since we're already close."
Making their way up to the Valley of Dragons in this absurdly hot heat would be none other than the two runaway bird siblings themselves, Kohaku the Falcomon and Ruri the Biyomon. Of course, the two of them weren't exactly allowed to be here for this one. For you see, Kohaku and Ruri were pretty much Alpha's age, if not a tad bit younger. And they didn't have even half as much combat experience as they did, not to mention that they had to sneak out of Rosewood that day just to get here. So why did they take this mission to help escort some kid who was being hunted?
Well, it was simple: his story was very similar to their story.
"I'm still really not to sure about this, Brother..." Ruri said as they approached the entrance to the clan. "We still aren't even strong enough to fight Papa if he ever comes back. We'll just be useless here."
"If there's a chance we can help this kid, we're gonna take it," Kohaku said. "If for nothing else than to show him that we aren't alone, ya know? Come on, I promise you, it'll be fine..."
It seemed like the siblings would be the last ones to show up, as there was already a group forming once they had arrived. This group consisted of a human sitting in a chair with wheels, accompanied by a Pomumon, a pink Veemon, and a Lucemon. Also with them was a Weathermon and a Tutomon, along with the RizeGreymon X that was standing by the entrance, waiting for the group to arrive. Kohaku and Ruri both looked up at the dragon with great anxiety, both of them never really having seen a dragon this big before. The fear was evident on their faces as they chose not to speak, for obvious reasons... as well as holding each others' wings very tightly.

"Ehh?" Alpha's thoughts were broken by something yelling out around him, looking over in time just to see something roll off the side of the cliff. "What! hey!" Alpha jumped up from his sitting position to try and leap over and grab whatever it is that fell down, he didn't get a good look at it. However, he barely managed to miss them as he looked over the cliffside to try and see where they landed all of the sudden, they would fly up... Then just land on the cliff. "Uhh, pretty sure we didn't but. Yeah nice to meet you too, guess you're here cause of the request huh?" Dusting himself off and throwing his hood off once more Alpha looked back over to see the group she had mentioned, surprisingly it was a human in some sorta chair Alpha had never seen being pushed by a Lucemon.
Then came another few strangers who seemed to know the first stranger, this revealed that the bird that forgot it could fly was named Momo apparently. either that or it was a nickname or something he didn't know. "Huh, no this is my first time meeting them we're not related? I don't think they're related to the boss either?" Well thankfully Alpha's dower mood had more than less stopped considering the weird situations he was just thrust into randomly seemed to knock him out of his funk for at least a little while.
"Ha! Already getting chummy with the clientele Alpha? Didn't know you were such a chatterbox!" The RiseGreymon X teased from slightly far away, Alpha just looked away a bit muttering something under his breath. Then the same digimon would notice the two bird sitting there looking up at her while holding each other. "Heh, what're you scared of little old me? C'mon now I don't bite. Swallow your fear you've nothing to worry about so long as ya do nothing to hurt me or my kin." She tried to have a calming voice but her natural speaking voice didn't lend well to that, though her tone was decently nice.
"Uhh why are you scared of her, trust me she's more annoying then scary." Alpha didn't even have a hint of fear anywhere around him as he walked next to the large digimon, hopefully that would inspire them to not be afraid of the larger digimon anymore.
"So, gathering of such colorful characters I assume you're the ones who got hired on for the mission? If not, then sorry tours are next week." She joked slightly wanting to make sure that is what everyone was here for, better safe then sorry after all.

Oh, one of the people there had tried to save Momo when she fell... that was really nice of them! Then Marina and En-En, a couple of people she had met a little while ago had shown up! That was also nice! Marina asked if she and the Hackmon were related, which caused the Pomumon to giggle. "Of course we're not related, silly! I'm an only child... I think!" There was a bit to unpack there, but the point seemed to be confirmed by the others.
And then a pair of bird Digimon also showed up, and that was nice, but they seemed really scared of the large dragon cyborg, and that wasn't as nice. If anything, this guy looked kind of cool. Momo should totally tell Matsuri about this guy! She looked a lot like him when she was transformed with Miki or Arisa, both of which were nice people that Momo really liked!
And Hotaru had finally gotten here along with Misaki and Sakura! Hotaru looked like she was distracted by something, as her head was bobbed slightly to the side while a large pair of sunglasses covered her eyes. She didn't seem to acknowledge anyone around at the moment. Meanwhile, Misaki looked as casual as ever, giving everyone a warm smile and nod. She wasn't a talker but she was always so nice! Sometimes she would give candy to people, but this time she didn't seem to have any! It was probably because this was a super serious mission!
Ooh, speaking of super serious, Momo noticed that Sakura had a super serious expression on her face, too! The Vmon clenched her hands together like some kind of overly-traditional, eastern greeting and gave the group a deep bow. "My name is Sakura. Sakura Shinryuji! These are my partners, Momo, Misaki, and Hotaru! Umm... We don't have any established history for such things, but we would like to help you in whatever way we can, regardless! Please allow us this opportunity to assist you!"
Wow! Sakura was always a little serious side, but she wasn't normally this formal or tightly-wound! It was worse than Momo thought! Even Misaki's casual smile saddened for a brief moment before returning back to normal! But Hotaru herself seemed unfazed by one of her partner's attitude. Which was typical of her! She seemed to be taking things into stride more and more lately, now that the Digital World wasn't as alien to her anymore! However, Momo couldn't hear it, but Hotaru was actually saying something under her breath! Only the most perceptive would catch it, but it went something along the lines of, "Zzz..."
Momo might have to do something about this later on, but there were other people here who should probably speak up, you know?
Present: Hotaru Inoue Momo the Pomumon Sakura the Vmon Misaki the Lucemon
Notes: Sakura's in the middle of an identity crisis so she might be a little weird.

Nobody in this small gathering seemed to be related. Well, except for Marina and En-En, even though they weren’t really related either, all things considered. Technicalities aside! It was already quite the reunion, wasn’t it? A small cloaked, nondescript digimon, a giant dinosaur, two birds, and a fruit that pretended to be a bird. Quite the entourage, wasn’t it?
“Don’t have to be your direct family, you know?” Marina added, not missing a beat. The Pomumon’s attitude was commendable, at least as far as taking things in stride went. For now, the Tutomon decided to not delve too deeply into family matters as she observed how everyone else interacted. It’d come in handy considering the super-duper-most-recent wave of newcomers! En-En’s gaze immediately was fixated on the human as it made her presence known. She had known Hotaru from a brief encounter in a mysterious beach, and their conversation had been exactly pleasant. But… at least for the time being, she seemed to be holding her tongue instead of brandishing it to the full extent of its sharpness. She gave the human a look, then gazed at Misaki, and finally, at Sakura.
“What do you drug her with?” She asked, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. “It can’t be a coincidence that both times I’ve met her, that human was partially conscious at most. You don’t have to answer though; whatever the reason, it’s both brilliant and devious.”
Crazy theories and En-En’s admittedly strange approval of underhanded tactics when dealing with humans, it seemed like there was some sort of quest to be engaged in this place. All things considered? Neither sister had any idea of what they were supposed to do here. But, Marina thought of it as an interesting thing to do, so was doing her best to play along to the best of her ability.
“Ah, yes. The mission!” She parroted confidently. “Mind briefing ourselves in case the information we’ve gotten doesn’t match what we’re supposed to do for certain? It’d be awful if things went south due to a misunderstanding!” Having said this, the Tutomon brought a pencil and a notepad from somewhere in her being, and seemed to be ready to annotate anything of importance.

Kohaku and Ruri were definitely intimidated by the RizeGreymon-X at first. They had never really encountered dragon Digimon that big before, especially not ones that had come FROM the Village of Dragons. It was natural for two Rookies to be scared of a super powerful Ultimate like that. Though their fears were slowly but surely wiped away when both her and Alpha stepped up, saying that they had nothing to fear from her. "We're just... not used to being around Ultimate levels, is all," Kohaku said. "Yeah, that's right," Ruri added with a slight nod. "But you do seem nice enough, ma'am..." Plus the fact that the Hackmon there wasn't scared of her in the slightest (even calling her "annoying" without being blasted to smithereens) gave the bird siblings a bit more confidence when talking to her, at the very least. Still, they were better off safe than sorry, they thought. After that was out of the way, Kohaku and Ruri then took notice of the others that were there. The ones that truly caught their eyes was the human, who was sitting in a chair on wheels and wearing sunglasses while refusing to acknowledge anyone around them. Needless to say, these kids were a bit confused by that. "Er... Sakura, was it?" Kohaku asked the pink Veemon as he examined the wheelchair. "What is this thing that 'Hotaru' here is sitting on? It looks like a chair on wheels... is it a vehicle or something?" "A vehicle? I wanna try and ride it!" Ruri happily cheered. She had never seen a wheelchair before, so she was very interested to see how it worked! "Maybe if Hotaru is nice enough to let you on... and only if you're being good," Kohaku said to his younger sister. It would be clear by now that both birds were absolutely oblivious to what the function of a wheelchair was, thinking that Hotaru was just riding it for fun. They would both feel absolutely horrible if someone was a bit too blunt with correcting them...
Then the Weathermon went and asked Sakura what they had drugged Hotaru with. "Drugged...?" Ruri asked, before she turned to Kohaku. "Like that stuff that Grandpa gave us when we were sick and made us super sleepy? Is that why this human is super sleepy?"
"Must be," Kohaku said with a shrug, "if what the Weathermon said is true, at least." Kohaku was starting to have his own suspicions of Hotaru and her crew at this point... everyone here was an oddball, he thought, but that was definitely true for Hotaru, Sakura, Momo and Misaki.
Oh that's right, the mission! "Yes we are, ma'am," Kohaku said to the RizeGreymon-X, before beginning to over-explain why they showed up. "My sister and I, we're probably as old as..." He tried to remember Alpha's name... did he even hear it to begin with? "...Alpha here, but we have combat experience of our own."
"My brother's a ninja-in-training, and I'm a mage apprentice," Ruri chipped in. "But we really wanted to help Alpha because we're sort of in the same situation he's in, someone's hunting us down too..."
"No kid deserves to be hunted like that... so don't turn us away, ma'am! Let us do what we can to get Alpha out of here safely!"
Well, these kids sure did have spirit and determination, even if they were a bit naive...

Didn't have to be direct family huh, though Alpha didn't say anything just looked away from a moment he considered his own family tree for a moment and... Yeah there was absolutely no way. Though he did wonder how someone could only think they were an only child, before instantly remembering that he thought he was an only child for the first few years of his life so he really shouldn't be judging others for not knowing, bad on him.
Though ignoring the family ties for a moment, it would seem that one of the assistants who arrived was a human who seemed to be... Sleeping at the moment, well better relaxed then tightly wound Alpha thought. "Heh, little drug is probably just the heat. Tends to do that to humans least from what I've seen, though heck I'd be tired too if I had to be pushed around like that." Seems the boss was trying to be a little more lighthearted, either that or just didn't care about that comment about drugging her.
Seems this was everyone, though before explaining the Ultimate level digimon did notice how serious Sakura had been while talking. "I'm sure you'll do fine, no need to be so formal, take a quick breath and relax. While I don't have much experience with human's and partners so long as you're willing to help that's enough for me." Hopefully that would stop them from being so straight laced for the moment, either that or it won't work in which case at least she tried.
"As for the mission it's pretty simple, if one of you can work whatever digivice that girl might have you'll notice there's an SOS signal broadcasting itself around this area, specifically towards my village behind me. There's no digivice here nor anything that would cause such a signal to appear." The boss' face switched, looking annoyed for a moment before continuing "Hasn't stopped a bunch of hero wannabe tamers from rushing in and trying to save whoever, some we managed to turn away at the gate after explaining, others however sadly needed a bit more of a violent convincing." Sighing she shook her head. "It's been a hassle and a half to deal with and we've had to expand our resources to deal with it, nothing but a nuisance."
After that Alpha decided to explain his part. "We're pretty sure it's someone who's trying to get me, I won't go into details but like those two said I'm being hunted by a digimon that wants me and my sister, don't know exactly for what but I'm not too interested in finding out. Probably wants to distract everyone here and try and gun for me or something, regardless it's not a good scene." It was almost sad how much Alpha seemed to be used to someone coming after him, stating these things with barely a hint of chance in his voice, like he was just recounting a common occurrence.
"Right, so here's what you need to do. A messenger came from another tribe close by, said something about a shady digimon fleeing to their land from ours around the same time as these signals go out, we're pretty sure that's the digimon we're after." Looking a bit disappointed for a moment the boss just shook her head before continuing. "I'd go myself but sadly I'm in no position to, if word gets out that I left to go have a private conversation with another tribe then I'll be hounded after like no other, same reason why I can't send some of my men, hence why I'm sending you as a neutral party. It's the safest way to go about this for all involved. You're to go there, get the information and hunt down that digimon, if you approach them from the other tribe's territory, they won't be able to flee back into ours without running into trouble, so you'll be able to corner them there." There, that was pretty much everything.
Though what Kohaku and Ruri said did make Alpha speak up. "I'm not getting out; I'm going with you." That did seem to counter what the boss said but Alpha continued. "I can't play the victim forever, need to send a message to these guys that if they come after me then they'll regret it." Alpha stopped for a moment before muttering. "I promised my sister I'd fight; I can't break that promise."
Though his sad moment was interrupted by the boss patting him on the head. "Aye, he'll be your guide towards the other village. While he's technically one of us the other tribes don't know about him, he can feign as a neutral party and show you were to go." It was a risky move, but Alpha seemed pretty sure about himself.

Everyone had gathered up at this point, and Misaki the Lucemon poked the human girl a couple of times before she stirred. She reached up and stretched her arms out and let out a yawn. She lifted her sunglasses up over her head and blinked the sleep away. She glanced at the group around her. Little hooded dude... giant cyborg dinosaur, so that was pretty neat. Oh hey there was that cloud that seemed vaguely familiar... somehow. And there were a black and pink pair of birds.
"Sorry..." She muttered in a croaky voice. Almost immediately the Lucemon handed her a chilled bottle of water out of her chair's side. She took a sip out of the straw before continuing. "Traveling around just makes me sleepy sometimes... what were we talking about before I dozed off?"
"No... you've been asleep since we've arrived, so this is your first time meeting... most everyone here," Sakura stated in a straight-laced tone.
"Oh, is that so?" There was some talky-stuff that happened after that, Kohaku inquired about Hotaru's chair, and before the Vmon could explain the human girl just shrugged. "It's less a vehicle and more... my throne. I'm basically royalty back in my world," She blatantly lied with a straight face. Momo gasped in surprise at this sudden revelation. Admittedly, Hotaru didn't talk too much about herself with Momo too often, but to think she was hiding such a secret for so long...
"Well... It's actually the next best thing," She corrected herself. "Entire civilizations spend tons of money making them more accessible for me. And most people are kinder to me than the average person, and I can basically go around running over people's toes and people will pretend not to be angry... Oh, and people always want me in group photos and stuff... It's super annoying, honestly..."
And at this point the human girl was just griping, so let's move on to more interesting things! Like Rize Greymon (X-Antibody) explaining how things were gonna go, and how the birb siblings talked about how they were being hunted, just like their client!
"Wow! That's really weird! We're also being hunted by a bunch of bullies, too!" Momo blurted out. Naturally, it would only be appropriate to go deep into detail about their backstories, and attempt to take over this thread and make it all about Hotaru and Co., but that sounds super annoying so no one did anything of the sort!
Thankfully, Sakura was more focused. She looked around at the... was it eight other comrades of hers? "Then if no one else has anything else to add, we should move on from here. We can plan as we travel if need be, but the sooner this thing is taken care of the sooner everyone can have a peace of mind."
"More traveling... Wake me up when we're there..." Hotaru announced, putting her shades back over her eyes. Momo couldn't help but chuckle, as Misaki gave an amused smile while Sakura just sighed.
Present: Hotaru Inoue Momo the Pomumon Sakura the Vmon Misaki the Lucemon
Notes: Wow. Sure are a lot of people being hunted in one place. Basically any bounty hunter's jackpot over here.

The ongoing situation was quite… quaint, wasn’t it? Even if the two actual birds had displayed some fear in the face of a digimon that likely far exceeded their powers, the sentiment had been relatively short-lived. And now, they were asking about the human’s wheelchair. While En-En visibly rolled her eyes at the story thus fabricated, she kept silent about it. There was an obviously more important situation to tackle… or so she believed. While she gave a small nod to both the Greymon variant as she explained the likely reason as to why the human was in a constant state of stupor, she didn’t have the evidence of experience on her side. This was no mere coincidence, and that much was evident enough.
Marina, in the meantime, at the mere mention of the contraption being a throne of sorts, Marina beelined towards it, and after bringing out her notepad, began to sketch furiously. “A seat worthy of a dignitary, I see… but ain’t it a little too shabby? It’s missing at the very least one-hundred essential functions and features, like laser cannons or a candy dispenser. Maybe this is a prototype? Or maybe the features are hidden! Care to show me?”
Marina, the ever inquisitive mind, didn’t pay that much attention to the RizeGreymon’s explanation, but luckily, her sister did. She gave the whole statement a mental once-over before expressing her thoughts on the matter. “We’re assuming that this shady digimon, the digimon that’s hunting Alpha over here, and the digimon that’s sending the SOS signals are one and the same, aren’t we? And the objective is to turn the hunter into the hunted? What should we do once we find the digimon, should this hypothesis be true? I get that the implication is to eliminate them, but it’s preferable to have that tidbit spelt out rather than assumed.” The whole deal was fairly intriguing, and it definitely piqued the Weathermon’s curiosity “I also assume that keeping a low profile is important as well? Given that Alpha is their quarry, it could be disastrous if they found us before we found them.”
Those were all the queries En-En had; once they were answered, she had no qualms on beginning their journey as of right now. And, of course, that’d be far from the end of it; for better or worse, her sister wasn’t as succinct when it came to dialogue. “Everyone is being harassed by mysterious entities!?” The Tutomon asked, her tone full of disbelief. “What if there’s a hidden organization that’s behind all of your pursuers? What if this holy quest leads us straight into the viper’s nest? That’d be fairly exciting, wouldn’t it?”
That aside, En-En shot the digimons that were responsible for Hotaru a knowing look once she dozed off again. “Still very interested in the human-domesticating drug's name. Just saying.”

Kohaku and Ruri were dumb little kids. And so, being the dumb little kids they are that had no knowledge of wheel chairs or the human world as a whole, their eyes were both practically sparkling as Hotaru told them about how the chair was her throne, and how she was basically royalty with how the humans behaved around her. "I've always wanted to meet a real life princess," Ruri said, still in awe of Hotaru's mere presence now.
"You truly must be someone special if the humans respect you to that degree," Kohaku added. "I don't really know what a 'group photo' is, but it can't be that bad, can it?"
Now, getting back on track... according to the boss, there's an SOS signal broadcasting itself around the village that can be detected on Digivices and D-Terminals, causing a bunch of other humans and Digimon to arrive and try to be heroes. The village has had troubles trying to deal with that kind of nuisance, and their resources had been stretched thin because of it. "Yeah, that actually sounds really annoying. I don't envy you," Kohaku said to the RizeGreymon X.
After Alpha had brought back up how he and his sister were being hunted, the boss mentioned a messenger from another nearby tribe. Apparently, a shady Digimon was fleeing to the boss' land from this other tribe, at the same time these broadcast signals had gone out. "Clearly that means the two have to be related somehow."
The boss was sending out a neutral party like this group instead of going herself or sending some men so that they wouldn't be chased after like her and her men would. So in short, the mission was to go to the other tribe and collect information, then go and hunt down the Digimon in question. "That sounds simple enough," Ruri said, sounding more confident about this whole thing.
But then Alpha said that he was actually going to join the group, which surprised Kohaku a little bit. He said he wanted to send these guys that were after him a message, and honestly... Kohaku respected the hell out of him for it. "You and I, we have the same goal, it seems. I like your spirit."
"The more, the merrier, right?" Ruri said in her usual positive tone of voice. The Weathermon said some things about the mission that went over both of the birds' heads, but then the Tutomon, Marina, asked if there was a hidden organization that's behind all of their pursuers. Even as little kids, Kohaku and Ruri both thought that suggestion was dumb as heck.
"Our father's definitely not involved in this in any way," Kohaku said. "Why would he care about some random Hackmon without any guarantee that we would be with him?"
With nothing more to add, Kohaku and Ruri were as ready as they could be to take on this mission...

Well it would seem the human girl was up for at least a little bit before they departed, the Rizegreymon variant couldn't help but let out a small chuckle at the girls attitude, staring down what could possibly be a dangerous mission and is completely taking the piss outta the situation. Though she didn't think she'd mention anything and spoil the fun, kids seemed entertained by it and it's not like a white lie would hurt this situation too much. She patted Alpha on the back as a small sign to stop him from mentioning anything either, though failed to realize he also didn't know she was most likely lying.
No they had more important matters on hand, the Weathermon decided to ask her to clarify about their suspicions, though she seemed to understand it never hurt to be too prepared. "You're correct, they started a few days after he arrived. Originally we thought it might've been another tribe trying to weaken us in order to attack, though the aim of this doesn't weaken us but distract. Which none other have reason to do so around here." Then came the quesion of what to do when they actually found the digimon, which was a simple enough answer. "Very well, When you find this digimon you are to eliminate them. Should they retreat I've suspicions they will simply change tactics and try again, elimination is the only option available. If you Load them or not I'll leave that to your digression, if you think it's the right call then go for it, if you don't or can't then you don't have to. Either way the message will be sent and I've little doubts they'd try this tactic again." It was definitely cold, the manner of her voice and what she was saying as if she was used to making decisions like this.
The low-profile thing made Alpha decide to chime in. "Yeah, I'll make sure to keep a low profile. As far as you all are concerned, I'm just someone helping out as well. Just call me by my species name instead of Alpha and..." Alpha stopped for a moment letting out a small sigh before talking, in a much lighter tone compared to his older sounding voice a moment ago. "Everyone who knows me doesn't know I actually sound like this, no one should recognize me even if they get the jump on me." With this he actually sounded his age, almost exactly like his sister as well. "Just don't ask why I usually put on a voice, I don't feel like explaining it..." There was definitely a story there but not one they'd hear from the Hackmon anytime soon.
Apparently, some of the others were getting hunted as well, which did seem to make Alpha weirdly happier than he thought it should've. Maybe it was just the fact that he didn't feel singled out anymore knowing some others were going through a similar situation. "Exciting huh? Guess it would be. It'd be easier just to stop them all in one swoop but I won't get my hopes up." Then the birds mentioned something about their father, guess that's what they meant by being in a similar situation as Alpha.
"Right, well no sense in burning anymore daylight. If that's all then It'd be best to start heading out, follow the path towards the east. Alpha here will show you where the rendezvous point'll be. We don't know who they're sending but I'm sure they'll wave you down when you get there." Though after saying that the boss seemed to recall something before adding. "Right, one last thing. This is more of an aside objective but if you could find out why they're helping us out in the first place that'd be a lot of help, the messenger was very vague about the reason they're doing this. If you can't that's fine, don't worry about it but if you do I'll make sure to give a little extra on your reward for it." Nothing too important but if they wanted more money that'd probably be important to remember.
With that Alpha was already walking ahead, if anyone else wanted to wait and ask a question he'd stop but if not then the mission would officially start now.

Momo was definitely confused by what the cloud lady was talking about, regarding Hotaru. Hotaru was getting drugs? But Momo thought that drugs were bad, except for the ones that were medicine. Wait was Hotaru sick!? Was that why she couldn't walk like a normal human? But if she was sick, then was it contagious? Would Momo no longer be able to use her legs as well? But... why was Momo only thinking about herself in a time like this, when her friend had an illness!? She suddenly felt very bad for thinking such selfish things, so she had to be extra helpful on this mission to make it up to everyone!
That was Momo's entire thought process as things were finally laid out, and Momo's expressions were an open book to anyone who bothered to notice, from her confusion, to her concern, to her near-panic, then horrific guilt followed up by her determined expression. Of course, Momo wasn't anyone worth paying attention to tbh, so most people probably would have just noticed that she was just kind of amped up for whatever reason.
"Okay!" She blurted out, taking to the air. "Then I'm gonna fly off ahead and scout around!" She then proceeded to fly off in a random direction, where she would no doubt get lost. Noticing this, Misaki tapped distracted Sakura on the shoulder, then pointed out towards the Pomumon definitely going the wrong way.
"Where is she... ugh..." Sakura groaned before turning towards the others. "We'll go get her back, so please just move on without us in the meantime. We'll catch up if we can..."
And then they left and everyone lived happily ever after.
Present: Hotaru Inoue Momo the Pomumon Sakura the Vmon Misaki the Lucemon
Notes: Going on hiatus for a good while so I'm gonna bounce from this thread for now. If it's possible to jump back in I'd like that, but if not I get it.

Explanations were definitely on point at the moment. Hotaru’s fame seemed to catch the interest of the two avian digimons, even bringing the topic of what a group pictures. Luckily, Marina could explain that concept fairly easily. Bringing out an old-fashioned camera that she had conveniently stored in one of many patches of fur, she focused it on the group currently gathered; the shutter’s soft click would be heard not much later, followed by the small, darkened sheet of paper slowly being ejected from the device itself. “This is a group photo!” She exclaimed, triumphantly. “You have to shake the paper a little before the picture appears, but once that’s done, the thing pretty much lasts as a memory forever. Ain’t that cool?”
If anyone wanted the picture, she’d be more than gracious at offering it, even if that wasn’t the point of this small gathering in the slightest. They had a task to perform, and they would do so brilliantly! En-En nodded at RizeGreymon X as it clarified her doubts; an elimination mission sounded like something relatively easy to do, especially when the numbers were in their favor. Only thing to be hoped for was that the odds were in their favor. At least in her stead, there wasn’t a lot more to be said.
Marina, on the other hand, gave Kohaku a weird look, as she was thoroughly puzzled by the latter’s statement. “I don’t get it.” She said with genuine perplexion. “Wouldn’t a greater-scope-villain of sorts have grander aspirations than just two digimons in particular? Sounds pretty weak, all things considered.” That conducted onto another thought, as well. “I know we’re supposed to just call Alpha ‘Hackmon’, just to keep appearances, but isn’t ‘some random Hackmon’ a tad on the rude side? Being presumptuous never served anyone particularly well, if I say so!”
En-En had to double take at Marina. It wasn’t particularly frequently when the overly chatty Tutomon was the voice of reason. In any case, Alpha was already walking ahead, and there was not much else to do rather than follow his lead. Well, except for… the fact that Hotaru’s group just left in some random direction for no reason whatsoever. That made the Weathermon smile. “Ain’t it nice when the undesirable removes herself?” She mused to no one in particular. “This day has just gotten a lot better.”
She couldn’t ask for much more than this. That was for sure.
