The Hammer of Justice(Xros Hunt)(OPEN)

Makiko had a minor pout that her silly antics had failed, but recomposed herself quickly. Of course things from various media would not work, especially since she was neither a Lawyer, nor a detective, nor Sherlock Holmes. She walked up closer to the Gazimon, and really took into her mind the bunny like digimon. It had a bad attitude, but what else was expected. It had a point though, if it was living in such ways, life or death does not matter, nor could any scheme that was not going to appeal to it. She would start walking up to it as the Sangloupmon would start his bit, and she would observe, while reaching into her bag for something.

"Duh they left me behind. Our gang lives by survival of the fittest and are on our own if we fall behind but are seen highly if we make it back from capture." and "Like I'm scared of any of you. I told you I won't....." did not really harm some of the thoughts that Makiko were having, but they did not sit right. She also did not like that he was trying to be so tough, but something seemed off, like it was just an act? His eyes were bugging out, so maybe that suggested that this might get to him. Still, would Shillan be able to avoid killing their only potential information source? That seemed unlikely. That really seemed more to point at just outright killing the Gazimon and being done with it, but Maki had a strike of inspiration.

She would put a steadying hand on the non vampiric Sangloupmon. "Gazimon, is there no way for us to come to an agreement? I mean, both Kima and I are Xros generals, so maybe one of us could take you in? Or maybe I could grant you this carrot?" she would suggest, as she pulled out a carrot. She did not know if they even ate carrots, but it was an option none the less. She realized this was the epitome of the carrot and stick analogy, but giving such offers were not to taken lightly in Maki's mind. She was offering either to take him in, even if she had to do it herself, or to at least feed him.

She passively wondered if there was a way to trade some labor for more food.... maybe get the Gazimon to get into a trade agreement with a farm? She did not know if the Digital world had farms, or any kind of infrastructure. The basis of banditry and thieving suggested that they did though, and as such, she would need to see what there was at some point in the future. Still, she let her offer hang in the air. She was not being magnanimous though, as she still was learning, and having even the slightest of chances of learning more, and of making this a peaceful resolution. She could only hope that Kima, or maybe the Xros Loader itself would help guide her.

Still, how would she handle taking in the Gazimon if he did choose that route? Would he be able to handle her strike requirements of not being a bad guy? Also he was small, a lot smaller than Grimm. Would he be able to help in the goals of her team? Still, even if that was not an option, is there a way to help Gazimon? These kind of questions were building up inside her, and so she waited for the moment to end, as her reverie there only lasted a few seconds, it allowed her to view this through a lens, as any good military force needed logistics and an understanding of force and resources.

Maki had been about to hand over the carrot when asked, but stopped when it was stated that information first, and then food. She would wait patiently, as that was more important. She was also appreciative that the Sangloupmon did not blast the poor Gazimon to smithereens, even if it might have been warranted. She was as of yet unaware of the fact that digimon when defeated in such ways usually rebirth, and hopefully would not learn that for a while. It was nice to protect those new to the digital world from such truths, even if just for a while. Makiko when the boulder was finally pointed out, would hand the Gazimon the carrot, once Aiko put him down of course. She did not want to prevent him from eating healthily. Still, there had to be a way to make this better on all parties, right?

Grimm while Maki was considering this, would be helping to move the boulder. It was doubtful that someone with out proper hands would be able to do it himself. Still, if the others helped, it was likely moved, though to be honest, Aiko could likely move it herself. Grimm was being stubborn though. Maki was here to help Kima, and as such, he wanted to pull his weight too, and help the rest. He was just stubborn enough to forget that asking for help was something advisable. He had only really worked together with the two friends, that he hoped they would rescue soon. He could not wait till their team truly started. It was going to be an awesome moment at that point. Maki would be so proud of those two, he was certain of it, plus they had proper hands! That would make this job so much easier!

"So Gazimon, any chance you will follow us to your gangs lair? I think if we can all work together, we might find a better and more fruitful living situation, one with out the dangers of running into and possibly getting killed by a group bigger or stronger than you." she would state with a soft smile. She had not ignored the fact that apparently they had taken opportunity with the situation that had appeared when the apprentice of Jijimon had left, but that gave her a wry smile. The idea was there, just would have to ask if the possibility was there. She also would have to likely take some responsibility in this. If there was a vacuum there... then maybe, just maybe they could fill it in a different way, and turn over a new leaf. She would have to think on it as they would need to meet up with the rest of the gang first, among other things.

"Kima, I think I have an idea that will resolve this stuff peacefully, if you would like more of my input?" she would offer with a flourish, as she stood properly again. "I would like to also take this Gazimon under my protection, in case of issue with the rest of the gang, at least until the meeting has happened, and we can hopefully sort this out peacefully." she would add. Balance in all things, and to bring back a missing harmony seemed like the best way to handle this particular issue. Still, it was unknown what other issues might be popping up with meeting the gang of gazimon, nor if they meet Jijimon, what might come up there. "One question before I try to push forth this plan though, is there a chance we can get Jijimon to meet us here after we meet the rest of the Gazimon gang?"

Well, not being able to get Jijimon involved is rather a sad revelation, but not enough to deter Maki from wanting to bring this issue to a peaceful resolution. Still, the revealing that a stronger digimon might stand in their way was something to be weary of. She did not know much, and that was hindering her ability to be confident, but that would not make her break the lead student mentality. Makiko was nothing if not determined. "If your boss is so strong, then why does she rely on you Gazimon? Why not lead like a proper like a proper leader? Is this a black company situation? Are you all being starved and threaten and broken?" She would ask? Her irises color seeming striking for that moment. It was like a fire had been lit under Makiko. Her determination was increasing, but how strong would the boss be? "What kind of digimon is your boss? She should at least be helping you improve, and though I know you do not trust me yet, I hope we can amend that, as I will do my best to help improve things!" She would declare dramatically, as she reached for her Xros Loader, and held it up. "I swear upon my Xros Loader, that after time, I will be worthy of your trust." She would finish, just as Grimm would return to her side.

Grimm realized that Maki did not know enough to help, but happened to find enjoyment in her current statements and actions. "You can trust my General, she may be a novice, but at least she has a heart, and maybe a brain." he would state, only seventy percent certain of it. "Thanks Blaster for the assist, I hopefully loosened it for you" he would add towards the Ballistamon, hoping that he was actually useful. His partner was full of bluster, impulse and plans, but how much of it was actually thought out? He could not know.

"My name is Domeki, Makiko," she would start, "Sorry for my outburst, but I do mean it. I will make sure on my name and my life to protect you, if you are fine with it. I really do hope to improve the lives of all those here, even if this is my first time being in the Digital world." she offered. This was her taking on the honor student mentality and putting on a sweet smile. "Kima, Shillan, Fuzz, Takoda, Aiko, Blaster, and Chayton, I hope I am not speaking for your group, but that we can work together to try to improve this situation for everyone. Please help me if I am puttin ma foot in ma mouth tho." she would say the last part in Kansai dialect, to try to show sincerity, but also how much it was weighing on her.

Grimm carefully patted his partner's back, before looking towards the Gazimon. He was trying to be reassuring, but he could not be certain it would work that well. Makiko's inexperience was leading her to saying things that likely would not help...was she so used to being on top of things that she was blustering with self confidence, or was it all an act to try to keep herself pushing forward? Either way, he missed his friends now, one of them had a good head on his shoulder, and the other was a vicious fighter. Both could be useful in this situation, especially if they have to fight something strong. "Makiko, you have me as your shield, and the shield for anyone else who needs it, just use me." Grimm would vow, deciding to trust the purple haired idiot. It was no worse than what was going to happen anyways.

Maki would smile at Grimm's resolve, offering her hand to the Gizamon. "Shall we attempt the tunnel? Or do we need to regroup first?" she would ask towards Kima and the group. The look in Maki's eyes showed that she was ready to go into the tunnel, but understood if Kima thought the danger was too high, that they may want to find allies or help otherwise before attempting it. It was best not to rush headlong into danger, though Maki should think about that before offering herself as a shield for someone else. Still fostering trust was important, and helping others was something she was largely well versed, considering she was best at being in the wrong place at the right time. She was living up to the truth of her family name... the Dodomeki.

Makiko seemed apprehensive for a moment, before she got a soft smile on her face, while breaking out another carrot, this time taking half of it, and giving it to Grimm, before handing the other half to the Gazimon. "You are right, I know nothing of what you have been through, to be fair the only reason we look down on you right now, is because your style of life right now harms those around you." she would start, with a calming breath to prevent herself from going into a tirade. "That being said, I can only go by my own perception and knowledge, and to what I know, your friends abandoned you, your boss is not here, and your group is still stealing to try to survive. We need a better option for all involved." she would state matter of factually. With their claws, she knew they could farm, or dig infrastructure safely, or even possibly work as protectors. "My goal in earning your trust and possible loyalty is based upon trying to improve things, but of course you would need to want that yourself first."

She would then turn towards Chaytan. "Sorry for the mix up, I hope it is no harm." before turning to the rest of the group, Gazimon included. "How about I show my resolve Gazimon, and prove a little bit useful to the rest of us, I will take the lead in scouting!" She would declare, before going into the tunnel.

Grimm, who was still sort of enjoying the verbal pat on the back, had what could only be called a Wide eyed look on his face. He quickly moved towards the tunnel as well. "Wait for me!" He would call, hoping that others were following. This girl was his destined General.... but why did she seemed so... lacking in sense?!? He could not understand it, but it meant he had to protect her, otherwise she could not rescue his friends. These things really did not make it easier.

Lucky for the rest of the group, Maki was not moving fast in the tunnel, just taking the lead. She had no idea what was down there, but had started using one of the pages of her diary that she had with her to make a map, as she moved, with a scale of every five steps a sketch of the rough explanation of the tunnel. She was not going to go fast at that point, but this would allow her to pay attention, and give them an easy way to return... Still what could the boss be? How far would this tunnel go before it arrived at their base? She did not know. Obviously it was not close or their actions would have drawn someone of interest, be it a Gazimon, or the boss? Who knows. What Maki did know, is that the tunnel could still be rather short or quite long, depending on how many turns and twists, how thick the walls, and what made them up.

That of course meant that Grimm had almost bumped into Maki as soon as she stopped for her first notation past the entryway. "Don't just enter the tunnel with out us." The rather loudmouthed Grimmon would admonish, before calling back "Come on in, the waters fine folks!" towards the rest of the group, while Maki checked a wall for markings, finding none, she made a quick scribble of an eye as a marking to use for making sure they were returning to whence they came. She did not want them to get lost, and so would use these drawings to help find the way back... unless they were to be hit by something else.

Makiko was happily taking steps to prove her usefulness, but also hoping the Gazimon would understand why she was willing to do this. She also planned if she ran into this Boss of the Gazimon to at least talk things out, but she still worried about needing to possibly use her Xros Loader some how to evolve Grimm... or maybe some how otherwise protect herself and the Gazimon.. If she thought he was welcoming of it... she would take him into her loader for now, but as he was not looking for that, she would instead take the vanguard position, and put herself in the way of potential danger for now.

Maki was glad to have an underground expert with her. It would not be a bad idea to take note, though it was also praise that she had not expected, to hear that she was doing much as the Prairiemon do. It made her feel like she was on the right track to handling the underground. Still, caution was key, even if she was mostly doing this as an ego thing. She was the older of the humans here. She may be less experienced as a General, but she was still required to a point to be dependable. The Gazimon did not want her help, so instead she would prove to be worthy by leading the charge. Taking the lead she continued her drawing as she walked, taking notes of little things already existing in the cave wall. This was just a simple consideration, but it did have Maki's pulse racing a little, as she was finally starting to get hit by the danger in leading. She shook her head of it though, as she walked on, putting on that slightly dark smile of hers...the one that happened before the time she knocked that guy off the roof. Intentionally or not, that was still her response.

Grimm on the other hand, spent his time trying to shadow Maki, and Fuzz. "You know I can lead... right? the digimon equivalent to a shield and scythe asked, only for Maki to shake her head, and continue on quietly. He questioned for a second whether Maki's ego was that fragile, before he finally got a look at her face. That was not the face of someone with a bruised ego, but someone who was either determined, or planning something sinister... he hoped the former, as the latter could not be good. Still he was on edge. This was not a good place for someone like him to be for fighting, as he could not move as well in the tunnels.

Makiko continued focusing on the task, entirely focused and determined to be the first thing anyone see. She would take a moment to look behind her, noting that Aiko had the Gazimon, she felt redoubled in her efforts. "Fuzz, make sure if something is coming our way, that you let us know, you or one of the others will likely know before Grimm or myself, due to your finely tuned senses, and I want to be ready if something comes around a corner or through a wall." She would state, quiet enough not to echo, but loud enough for the Prairiemon to hear. The last thing she needed was someone unexpected to pop up and take her head off.

Grimm felt a little less happy about this situation, as he had to be ready to react not to Maki's guidance, but to the guidance of another digimon. It was not negative, but more that he had to hope he could respond fast enough to protect his general. She was being reckless, but seemed determined to not change her course. He would let out a metallic sigh, but would prepare. "I am counting on you guys." Grimm would state, his face though inexpressive, gave the suggestion of worry. The grimmon was really missing his friends now.

Grimm did not stop being tense, but nodded acknowledgement towards the rest. They had their own general issues to deal with. Theirs was more meek, but his seemed like she was way too determined and lacking restraint. He hoped she did not die before she could fulfill her destiny. If she died here... what would he do? How could he continue on? How could he save his friends? How would their dreams ever come true? This all had him on edge, since he was better in open areas."I want to protect my general... so that I can be able to fight at my best." he would grumble, but concede that the other digimon were right.

Makiko had started to move a bit swifter, with her actions becoming more concise and dramatic. Her violet hair shimmering in the slight breeze that seemed to be down here, showing that there was airflow, so that these tunnels possibly had multiple exits, and not all of them were perfectly sealed. She posted another Eye on the wall with out even looking at it, as she studied the directions, but this one had a pupil that was shaped into an arrow going towards the direction they were going. This was to disrupt anyone who tried to reverse her images into a direction to find where they had came from, or to trial back. Seeing a side path that seemed to have a breath coming from it of air, she would make a similar marking, knowing that it was likely an exit. She got a brighter smile on her face, as she noticed some pawprints that suggested as much.

She would stop though, as they came to a three way path. "I do not know which of the paths is the right one, anyone here got any information that would help?" She would ask, partially looking back at the group. She had noted three other passageways behind them, these ones were all marked similarly to point towards this route. It was unlikely to be more than exits, but she realized she might have overlooked something.

Grimm was clueless. Traversing underground was not his forte, as he was better in the dark area, and possibly the sky, albeit slowly. One of his friends could track with scent, and the other one could plan and remember things, but neither was the Mechanical evil dragon's forte. No, his forte was protecting his allies, and possibly spotting something from the air. "Search me, want to ask the Gazimon?" He would finally ask, looking over the situation, that would be the one to most likely have the answers. She would shake her head though.

"Relying on him could give us more information, but it would be asking a lot, since he got us this far, and we should prove ourselves reliable and useful in turn." She would respond. Her eyes showing that iridescent glow down here that happened when she was fully in work mode.
