It all happened so fast for Armand. First, he got a strange email addressed to no one that he was "Chosen". Then he went through the Shibuya River when he tried to go home after a day of teaching and research from the university due to the email insisting that he go there. After that, he recalled trying to stop a few pranksters from fooling a foreigner and the last thing he knew was that he fell into the said river. He didn't know how deep or shallow the sewer was, but he thought he would have died if he hit his head on it.
But instead, he opened his eyes and saw sunlight in the sky. "Strange, it was almost evening..." Armand groaned as he stood up. But he stopped when he felt something on the ground. He scooped it up and gasped to see what it was. "Sand? But how..."
Before long, the biology professor stood up and noticed that he wasn't at the Shibuya River anymore. Heck, he wasn't in Shibuya at all. He was on some sort of a beach where he saw a long line of sandy shore and water and no signs of a city anywhere in his sight. If anything, he guessed must have been far away from Shibuya. But he knew it seemed impossible for a river that was converted into a sewer would drag him out of the city. Even so, he knew he didn't have the right gear to survive in his current situation as he only has a briefcase only containing his paperwork and a bottle of water that was half-empty. At this point, there was the only thing he could do.
"Hello?! Can someone help me?!" Armand called out. "Anybody!"

'Aye, boy. yee have a wide berth. Just keep er steady. Keep to starboard line. The stern and bow be keeping straight.' a voice echoed from next to Clayton as the teen spun a massive wheel in front of him, keeping the ship he was on at a steady pace towards their goal. 'Yee not need concern for the finer details of me ship, she's a wonderfully crafted vessal. She'll do the work for ye, just tell her where to go.' the pirate spoke, once again in Clay's mind as he steadied his breathing and let the ship run its course.
It was his first day of actually driving the thing, well was he even driving? more like steering. It was quite odd, the ship seemed to take control of most of the functions he knew about leaving just the teen with the steering. Guess this was the difference between a normal ship and a digital one.
Granted his first clue should've been the fact that it literally came out of the sea when he commands it to, that's an important detail to note. Clay didn't have his jacket on at the moment, just his usual short sleeved shirt, another detail albeit not as important.
"I can't believe I'm actually doing this, this is so insane." Clay was a bit awestruck at what he was doing, had you told him he'd be steering an apparently legendary pirate ship a few months ago he'd never believe you.
'Keep it to the northside boy, Straight on towards that shore." Which just so happened to be the same shore Armand woke up on, it'd appear in the distance for quite a bit but after a few moments it'd be very clear, a large pirate ship slowly making its way towards the shore, A Captainhookmon was on the main flag that waved in the air as it made its way closer to its destination.
Till eventually Clay was barked at to pull the sails down and drop the anchor, which he did so at a bit of a rushed pace as he ran around the ship to stop it. Panic from being yelled at drowning the calls for help from the human on the shore. This part was a lot harder alone then the steering thing. Still he managed to do it and stopped just short of the sandy beach ahead.
Though Clay didn't get off the ship for a moment, he could be seen near the bow of the ship, messing with his backpack unaware that there was anyone on the shore at the moment, it was also pretty clear that he was the only one on the ship at the moment.

Washed Ashore From the River
A lovely day at the beach, much sun and sea, very nice. a young girl was lying back with a book in her hand, a beach blanket being the only thing separating her from the sand. Besides her was everyone's favorite lizard that pretending to be a dog, Gabumon, curled up and looking snug and comfy. Not far from Armand's feet, there was what looked to be a Gaomon's blue-furred dog's head sticking out of the sand, the rest of his doggy body buried in the sand while a second young girl looking nearly identical to the first was walking away with a shovel over her shoulder. A small puddle of drool was still getting absorbed by the sand around the dog's mouth.
Then some guy just popped up out of nowhere and started yelling for help, waking the blue-furred dog up. "Quit your yelling! Some of us are trying to sleep!" The talking dog Digimon barked back at the man. Grumpy from being woken up, and all-around kinda grumpy in general.
The girl with the book looked up at the newcomer with more curiosity than caution, before glancing over towards her partner buried in sand and then towards the shovel-holding culprit. Book-girl gave shovel-girl a disappointed glare while her twin sister simply gave an "aw shucks" kind of grin.
The fur-covered lizard got up and was about to say something to the man calling for help, like what a decent person should actually do, but that got drowned out by the pirate ship approaching them.
So now they had to deal with teleporting strangers and pirates. So much for a peaceful afternoon at the beach.

It has been a minute since he started yelling for help. Yet after a while, no one seemed to respond. This was bad. If there was no one to help him, then that means he was stuck on what he thought to be an abandoned island. That was until he heard something or someone below him telling him to shut up.
Armand stared at the source, which was a blue dog wearing a pair of boxing gloves for a while. Then as if his senses turned on with a switch, he screamed in horror and fell on his back before backing away from the dog. "A-A dog... A-A blue dog that can talk... I think the heat is somehow getting to me."
But as he turned around, he gasped to see something stopped right in front of him by the shore. It was a large pirate ship just like he saw from the books and movies. He became speechless at the sight of it, even to the point he ignored the talking dog.

Clay finished packing stuff into his backpack, throwing it over his shoulders as he stood near the front of the ship, moving over and kicking the chain that had the anchor to make sure it wasn't going anywhere, then getting yelled at in his head about doing that. He ignored that voice, because it was annoying but also because he heard another voice yelling out. Heading to the front of the ship Clay saw a buncha people he didn't see in the ride up to the island.
'They be trespassing on private land, tell them off me boy.' the pirate in his head spoke, but Clayton didn't respond and instead shook his head.
"You've been dead for how long captain? Preeeety sure you don't own anything anymore." Clay reminded which caused the pirate to instead stop talking, grumbling something about ownership as Clay took over fully.
"Hey, or I guess Ahoy is the appropriate greeting." Clay said standing on the front of the ship before hopping over the railing and down to the beach below. It was a long fall but just before he'd hit the ground his Anti-Grav device would kick in, making the teen hover in the air for a moment before letting him gently on the ground.
"Sorry if I disturbed any of you, hard to notice people that far out from the land." Now that Clay got a good look at them, seemed like one group was just chilling but the other dude, looked totally freaked out about something?

Washed Ashore From the River
The dog, who was currently buried neck-deep in sand at the moment, didn't seem to notice this fact. He let out a yawn before looking around to finally notice his plight. "What the... who the hell...?" He let out a growl and let out a string of profanities aimed at some "horrible witch girl" that ultimately got drowned out by the crashing waves and the sound of an approaching pirate ship.
As this happened, the horrible witch girl in question gripped her shovel as looked over towards the confused old dude wondering what the hell was going on. Her lips pressed against each other in a neutral expression as she realized what was up, and didn't much care for the situation. If this dude was a digital newbie, it probably meant that she was gonna have to explain a bunch of stuff, and she didn't come to the beach to teach a class. But she couldn't exactly leave the guy alone, either. Especially when pirate ships appeared out of the blue.
Thankfully, this particular pirate didn't seem too aggressive, and as impressive as it was to operate a ship all by his lonesome, being by himself would make it a lot more convenient if he were some kinda ruffian. She approached the lost man, and held out her hand to help him back up. But in doing so, she appeared right within Gaomon's field of vision.
"Get me out of here before I really get mad! You're gonna pay for doing this to me, you crazy bi-!" The doggo's threats were cut off as the girl's shovel stabbed into the sand mere millimeters away from the Gaomon's snout. Haru casually leaned on the shovel she planted in the sand as the pirate dude greeted them.
For as confused as the lost dude might be, it was probably more important to make sure the approaching pirate didn't want to do pirate things to them before she started explaining stuff, so Haru simply help up a hand with her thumb and pinky out and waved in a "surf's up" gesture.
"Howdy there, sailor!" She responded as casually as she could. Now... how should she ask about the pirate dude's intentions? She shrugged and figured she'd be as direct as possible. "You wouldn't happen to be wanting to do any plundering or pillaging, would you? 'Cuz I'm just trying to enjoy a trip to the beach with my friends, and I'm afraid I left all my plunderable objects at home!" Haru gave them a well-practiced friendly smile and lighthearted laugh.
Meanwhile, off in the distance, the girl's sister and a fur-covered lizard continued to lounge about while keeping an eye on... whatever was going on right here. |

So not only was there a talking blue dog wearing a pair of red boxing gloves but also a young girl at the beach and a young man jumping out of the ship and landing safely disregarding the height of it. Armand became a bit faint from everything he saw, but not enough to make him collapse from the heat and shock. Instead, he approached the two while trying to remain his composure.
"And not to interrupt, but can you two tell me where am I?" He sheepishly asked. "I thought I fell into the river back in Shibuya and it seemed like I found myself here. And maybe if you two know how to get back to Shibuya?"
Yeah, seeing these two seemingly calm despite their new surroundings made the biology professor a bit unnerved at this. He was sociable, but he didn't know how long his extrovert facade would crack.

Well that was certainly quite the sight, there was a digimon buried in the sand. Who apparently was very not cool with said fact that they were buried in the sand like that. Getting ready to yell out some colorful language before being stopped by one of the humans, shoving the shovel into the sand in front of them. 'Ha, should know better than to doze off near the sand.' The pirate in his head chuckled reminiscing about some other time long ago, least that's the feeling Clayton felt from said words.
But now to the more pressing matter at hand, well one of them at least, it would seem that they were worried about Clay's reason for being here, that reason hopefully not being to actually take anything they owned. "Well, I suppose that depends on what'cha got now doesn't it." Clay responded but it was quickly followed by a lighthearted laugh as he waved it off.
"Kidding, kidding. I'm not here for any of your valuables. I'm just on a retrieval job for now, apparently the old captain of this ship left something important round here and I've been tasked with finding the box it's in." Sooo more like a treasure hunt then an actual pirate stealing job, which was definitely better than the other option.
Then it came time to address the other, other important matter at hand of the dude not knowing where the hell he was, which was something Clayton quickly realized in an 'oh shit' fashion that they probably weren't from around here. "And that uhh, I don't know how to exactly say this without freaking you out but you're, kinda sorta in another world? But uhh, don't worry though I know the way back! I can give you a lift after I find what I'm looking for!" Hopefully that wouldn't cause them to panic, I mean a whole crazy new world is one thing but at least someone offered a way back right?
