It was pretty early in the morning at Terminus, the sun hadn't risen past the vast walls that surrounded the city yet but it was late enough in the day that the twins Alpha and Beta should be awake. Except they weren't, both of the kids were just sprawled out on their bed, blankets and pillows tossed around in their sleep as the twins rested without a care in the world. That was until the sound of coughing loudly coming from nearby cut through the quiet of the morning.
Alpha was the first to wake up, slowly opening his eyes, letting out a yawn as he sat up, rubbing his eyes as he glanced over at his sister, or at least the large amount of blankets and stuffed toys that he was decently sure she was under. Looking around a bit he managed to find her face, drooling on her pillow fast asleep. "Hey, Beta. Wake up." Alpha said shaking his twin a small amount, no response. He tried doing it a bit harder and still no response. With a sigh Alpha decided to instead go check out what that noise was himself.
Jumping off the bed Alpha made his way out of their room, listening for a moment before he heard the sound of coughing again, following the noise he came over to his mom's room, the door was slightly open so Alpha decided to push it open slowly. "Mom? You there?" As he asked he got an answer from the sound of coughing coming from further in, walking up to the bed he was surprised at the sight he saw.
Ciel was currently in her bed looking very disheveled. Her hat was missing and her sword was cast off to the side with a lot less care then she would ever allow. Her face was very red and her eyes were shut. Suffice to say she looked absolutely miserable. "M-mom! What's going on." Alpha asked, alarmed and louder then he intended waking Ciel and Beta in the other room up.
"Zsshawha? 'S something up with momma?" Beta called out as the sound of the pile of stuffed animals hitting the ground was heard as Beta made her way over to Alpha, just in time for Ciel's eyes to open.
Sitting up in her bed Ciel had to take a moment to steady herself before looking over at the twins, though Alpha could tell with the movement of her eyes that she was having a hard time focusing on either of them. "Oh, Alpha, Beta. You're up already." Ciel said, barely managing to get the words out.
"What happened to you mom? Who did this to you!" Beta exclaimed, Alpha too looked ready to fight anyone who hurt their mom like this.
Ciel though was absolutely confused as to why her kids were acting like this, then it occurred to her. "Oh, right. You two have never gotten sick before?" As she said that both Alpha and Beta tilted their heads in confusion. "It's, something that can be caused by working too hard, or get infected by something or someone. It's like a virus for us."
Seeing the worry instantly in the twins eyes Ciel let out a small laugh, followed by a tiny cough before assuring them. "Don't worry, it's not deadly. I already took something for it, but it's gonna take a while to take effect."
