Sena Hayashi
Age 7
She/Her
115cm (3’9”)
22kg (48lbs)
Born January 30th in Shibuya, Japan
Appearance
Sena’s a little brat with brown eyes and lighter brown hair, messily tied up in whatever way she felt like doing that morning. Her fashion sense is non-existent, she tends to wear whatever secondhand clothes provided for her, but generally prefers function over appearance. It’s not often she stands still, but when she does, her body often sways slightly towards whatever is attracting her attention the most. When people are talking to her, she typically responds with a blank expression followed by a goofy grin.
Personality
Sena is just a dumb kid. She’s got a loud voice, most things go right over her head, and she’s ignorant of other people’s personal boundaries. But her inconsiderate nature stems from her impulsiveness rather than selfishness. Sena is someone who lives in the moment, and doesn’t stop to think about little things like fears or consequences. If true bravery is acting despite knowing the danger, then the source of Sena’s courage is true foolishness.
Sena is a typically oblivious, annoying child, but she’s not without her compassion. In fact, it’s her main redeeming quality. She’s a deeply sympathetic person. If she sees someone crying, she can’t help but cry along with them, even if she has no idea who the person is or understanding why they’re crying. While she can’t exactly be called empathetic due to her limited worldview, Sena is someone who cares about others.
Sena also has a gluttonous curiosity about the world she understands so little about. She’s climbed tons of trees, buildings, and tall people, but if she sees one she’s never scaled before, she can’t help but try and see the view from up there. The same is true for foods; Sena wants to try everything at least once no matter how bad it smells or looks, if only to experience it. Sena’s an adventurous child who isn’t scared of the unknown.
Sena’s the outdoors type that likes to roll around in the grass and wander out in the open air, and gets anxious if she’s indoors for too long. Because she’s used to being alone, But even when stuck inside, Sena’s good at preventing herself from getting bored, using whatever’s at hand and filling in the rest with her imagination. She can turn even the most dull environment into her playground.

Personal History
As a 7-year old child, Sena has a long and storied tale of wonder and adventure. It all began a few years ago, when she was just a baby in her mama’s belly. Sena was what some people would refer to as an “accident”, a result of a fling that just didn’t work out. Most of a year later, Sena was born and an exasperated, overwhelmed girl became Sena’s mother. Not that Sena knows anything about that.
Sena never interacts very much with her mother, as she always seems too busy to play with or take care of her, and she’s never had much of a father, but she spent a lot of time playing with her grandfather. He had a hard time hearing Sena so she had to yell when she spoke to him, and he was always shaking and hunched over, but he was fun to talk to and knew about a lot of stuff. Sena’s mother and grandfather often argued a lot, a lot of times they were arguing about Sena, at first she thought it was because Sena was in trouble, but her grandfather always assured his granddaughter that everything was okay.
Sometimes Sena would get sad and lonely but her grandfather would just tell her that it was okay to be sad but that she should still try to find ways to be happy. He said that “When you’re feeling happy, seek out others and share your happiness with them. And when you’re sad, seek out others so they can share it with you”. Sena didn’t really get it very well but she said she’d try to do that.
When Sena started school, she was super popular. Oftentimes when a bunch of kids are around her they start laughing a whole bunch. Sena was so funny that everyone would even laugh when they didn’t think that Sena could hear them! Sena is happy that she could make them laugh like that. Even though so many kids her age laugh around Sena, no one ever wants to play with her, so that’s kind of a bummer.
One morning, Sena’s grandfather wouldn’t wake up and had to go to the hospital and he died. Sena tried not to be sad about it because it hurt too much to think about. But Sena promised her grandfather that she’d try to be happy so forced herself to be happy anyways. Before he died, though, her grandfather’s lawyer said that Sena was grandpa’s “soul benny-fishy-ary”. Sena had absolutely no idea what that meant, but her mother seemed really angry about it.
Despite this, while she’s still inattentive to Sena, she still provides for her more than when she did when Sena’s grandfather was still alive. Even so, lately Sena’s been feeling lonelier than ever, since no kids at school want to play with her, and her mother doesn’t spend time with her like her grandfather did. If only there were some otherworldly entity that could be a friend...

Digivice - Arcey
Arcey is an artificial intelligence designed to help Sena, a young and forgetful individual, with basic Digivice tasks, rather than for companionship. Due to its primary function, Arcey appears aloof and unresponsive, which Sena interprets as the Digivice being unkind. Sena frequently attempts to engage in conversation with Arcey in the hope of making it more friendly. Surprisingly, this sometimes leads to Arcey responding dismissively, almost as if it's becoming irritated by the interactions.
Amane Hayashi
Very Old, yet Very Young
She/They
125 cm (4'1") / 166 cm (5'5")
None-of-your-business lbs
She's not from around Shibuya
Default Appearance(s)
Ya Boy Kongming! • Eiko Tsukimi • Amane Hayashi
Personality
In the past, Amane has always single-mindedly worked towards her goal. Because of this, she can be awkward when dealing with unexpected situations. While she doesn't intend to be gruff or callous, she can sometimes come across as such because she's often deep in thought about something else. She's often making reclusive decisions, but it's never intentional; rather, it's a byproduct to her unwavering focus. She'll often forego social opportunities, initially seeing them as a distraction only to regret her decision afterwards.
When she was younger, Amane was a boisterous, bombastic individual that enjoyed being the center of attention. She was vibrant and vivacious, always willing to laugh and enjoy herself, completely unaware that her behavior often annoyed others. She's since grown emotionally, and looking back on her impulsive antics leaves her with a humiliating sense of regret. As such, now she's remarkedly more careful when choosing her words and actions, to the point where she's sometimes indecisive. In a sense, she's overcompensated for her past behavior to the point where it's detrimental for her well-being, but she's yet to realize this.
Amane's single goal in these worlds is to master her magical arts and make real a hypothesis she and her former comrades dubbed The World Code, a program powerful enough to rewrite the Digital World in its entirety. Ambitious, to be sure, but Amane's motivations are purely academic; she has no desire to harness such powerful magic, but only to see if it's possible. But also she wants to discover it first just to see the looks on her former colleague's faces.
Amane's a loner, but she isn't anti-social or particularly malicious; she just tries to stay out of people's way because she's realized that she doesn't have much nuance and can't pick up on social cues well. And doesn't deal well with distractions.
Which is sadly something she's going to have to get used to.
A very long time ago, there were three young mages whose talent greatly outweighed their maturity. They hypothesized that there existed some greater form of magic more powerful than any other source in the Digital World, a program they would call The World Code. A baseless belief, to be sure, but it was one that these three believed from the bottoms of their digicores. As the years passed they drew no closer to their goal, and yet their enthusiasm only began to grow. But as these three came into their magecraft in their own right, calling themselves the Three World Sages. but while their core beliefs were aligned, their opinions of reaching this goal began to differ.
Granse, the Land Sage, believed that The World Code could be discovered in the earth. After all, that was where all life seemed to flourish the most, between the forests and communities thriving there.
Linglace, the Sea Sage, believed that The World Code existed deep within the waters of the Digital World. All land is ultimately surrounded by water, after all, and there was still so much to discover in the Digital World’s darkest depths.
And finally, there was Atmosa, the Sky Sage. She decided that The World Code likely existed out of their reach; in the skies above, and that mastering magic based on that would lead to discovering The World Code the fastest.
Naturally, their disagreements led to a falling-out and they went their separate ways. Granse buried himself deep within the earth’s crust, Linglace dove into the ocean’s depths, and Atmosa holed herself up in the forest, if only because living in the sky seemed like kind of a pain. And then the years passed, and the three who called themselves sages had isolated themselves, completely squandering any good their magical prowess could have done for the world. Time passed, and Atmosa began to slowly develop emotionally as well, and her time in isolation and self-reflection gave her a great deal of insight about herself and her past behavior. And also shame.
Anyways, some stuff happened, and Atmosa ended up sacrificing her life to protect some tiny human who got lost in the Digital World. An act that upon rebirth, she decided to take the opportunity to reinvent herself.
