Hideki Tanaka
Alias: Hidê
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Height: 4ft. 8 in.
Weight: 95 lbs.
Alignment: Neutral Good
Birth Date: October 3rd
Birth Place: United States of America
Skills/Talents:
- Keen Investigative Mind: He plays too many amateur Attorney games and watches far too many cable crime dramas. Because of this, he claims that his deductive skills are unparalleled.; In reality, they have much to be desired, despite his reliance on common crime tropes.
- Quick Witted: Great at coming up with things on the fly. This ranges from things like impromptu song lyrics to excuses about why his paperwork has gone missing.
Personality:
Hideki is pretty accepting of strange things these days, considering his living situation. The world is a strange and wonderful place, full of things far weirder than he can ever imagine. Because of this, he is pretty much open to most things and gets along with others well. He may not be the brightest bulb on the tree, but Hideki has a curious mind. Always seeking stimulation, be it a new mystery or adventure, he often bites off more than he can chew. But this sense of childlike whimsy is what makes every day so interesting.
Despite his desire to learn, Hidê prefers to stay inside when at all possible. He would much sit on the couch, eating popcorn and watching a movie than go outside or interact with other humans. He's been working on this lately, but still occasionally finds himself wishing that he could just do nothing. It's because of this and other contradictions that he has low self-esteem. No matter how well he succeeds, he will always serve as his own worst critic. He second guesses his decisions constantly, more out of lack of faith in himself than any real fear of failure.
*This inner conflict, this self-doubt leads to a.. unique means of dealing with the fairer sex. Much like the timid opossum, Hideki's brain freezes when he's placed in perceived danger. This, since he's a red-blooded 13 year old male, includes ladyfolk. His deep-seated inferiority complex starts a horrible cycle that leads to complete a complete BSOD.
Appearance:
Being short and scrawny, Hidê doesn't stick out of a crowd very much. His dark hair and eyes don't mean that he sticks out and he has no really glaring identifiers. He carries his posture poorly and slouches, though not enough to really set him apart from most people. He is average in almost every way. He has large, wide eyes full of youthful glee and short, disheveled hair. His eyes echo his hair color almost perfectly. His jawline is strong for his age, something that he inherited from his father, though he can't claim to have inherited his stature. He's very self-conscious of this and it contributes to his low self-esteem.
He is often found wearing his older brother's hand-me-downs and has a very poor sense of fashion. As such, his clothes rarely fit or match.
Personal History:
Born in the United States, Hidê Tanaka's family moved to Japan when he was five. After his father's job was relocated overseas, they relocated with him. Hideki's first few years in primary school were spent in an entirely Japanese environment, something difficult to the young introvert who was just getting the hang of American schools. His classmates were helpful and accepting, but he always felt different. Learning the language took a while, and he's still not entirely fluent, but he soon grew good enough for everyday conversation.
He's in his second year of junior high and currently lives with his older brother, Kenshiro, who attends college in Tokyo. Ken is rarely home and when he is, he prefers to lock himself up in his room and study, which leaves his younger sibling with far too little adult supervision and the level of energy that only youth can provide. It's not uncommon for the living room of their apartment to be converted into a pillow castle or a battlefield for action figures within hours of his brother's self-imposed exile. There isn't much stimulation aside from video games or television for the younger Tanaka, considering he really doesn't have any friends.
Hideki takes far more after his father than his mother, who resembles Ken's hard-working attitude and demeanor. Papa Tanaka, as he's called pretty much everywhere, is a jolly and exuberant soul, always bursting with energy and provides a constant migraine to his dutiful wife.; This headache intensified after father retired early after almost a decade of work and they moved to a small house in the countryside. Because of this, Hideki lives in the big city with his brother for the school year and spends his summers living with his parents in their modest home.

Digivice:
Partner's Name: (Goes by level name)
Default Form: Rookie
Gender: N/A
Alignment:Good(?)
Skills/Talents:
- Unintelligible: He don't know good talkin' like me and you. Its vocabulistics is limited to simple noises in no particular order. It wears thin really quickly.
- Malleable: As a Troopmon, his body has the consistency of a garbage bag full of jello. It's less permeable and thicker than the average bag, but has the same general idea. This thick, rubbery skin seems resistant to some ranged attacks and blunt-force trauma, but blades would make short work of it. In addition to this, the digimon appears to exploit this to squeeze into small places or through thin cracks.;
Personality: Quiet and unassuming, Troopmon is a mon of little words. Its entire vocabulary consists of muffled, quasi-noises and physical cues, making communication with it a difficult task for those that aren't fluent in mumble. This language barrier seems less of an issue with other digimon who tend to dislike it for other, less obvious reasons. Being a living conglomeration of stolen and mis-matched data will do that to you.
Considering he was originally mistaken for a toy then a novelty alarm clock, Troopmon is extremely low maintenance. The Troopmon's hobbies include watching his tamer's Netflix queue, playing dress up, and eating anything left unattended within arm's reach. It lives a simple life and is a bit of a couch potato unless toys or food are involved. Its mind seems dull and slow at times, but maybe its just dense.. regardless, metaphors appear to go right over its head.
* Troopmon's language barrier apparently isn't impenetrable as it once appeared. Certain digimon have the capacity to understand its strange dialect and may serve as an intermediary.
DIGIMON'S INITIAL EVOLUTION LINE
Attribute: None
Family/ies: None
Type: Mine
Attacks:
- Dazzling Display: Botamon fires a gout of bubbling, colorful bubbles in attempt to daze its foe. 25% chance to stun for 1 post.
Digivolves to: Chikurimon
Attribute: None
Family/ies: N/A
Type: Mine
Attacks:
- Iron Thorns: Extends metal spines from its body, potentially piercing things it comes in contact with. It holds fast out of fear if stuck in a solid mass.
- Baby Blitz: Charging forward with righteous zeal and determination, it leaps directly at its foe, wreathed in a low-wattage electric current. Not as impressive as it sounds.
Digivolves to: Troopmon
Rookie: Troopmon
Attribute: Virus
Family/ies: Nightmare Soldiers, Metal Empire
Type: Undead
Attacks:
- Data Darts: Troopmon launches small energy bullets from the tips of its fingers, doing a small amount of damage. The area where the lights impact leave tiny, blue glowing marks on impact that last for several minutes before fading.
- Playful Pounce: Smashes its surprisingly hard head into the opponent's with great force, has a 99% chance to stun them for 1 post. 1-post cooldown.
- Spirit Siphon: Latching to a foe with super-strong sticky suction cups, Troopmon slowly leeches data, weakening them and replenishing his energy. This action takes several posts to do any appreciable damage and, as such, effectively immobilizes Troopmon during its duration while it places all of its focus on maintaining the grapple.
Digivolves to: Raremon, Deputymon
Attribute: Virus
Family/ies: Nightmare Soldiers
Type: Undead
Passives:
- Simple Minded: This digimon isn't all there, mentally. It only comprehends very basic commands and, because of this, fights almost entirely on instinct. Its personality is not unlike a giant, really smelly puppy. Because of this, he has no fear and is unaffected by abilities that target the mind.
Attacks:
- Puetrifying Breath: Raremon's breath is absolutely vile, so of course it found a way to weaponize it. Breathing out a cone of stinking mist, the oily vapors hang in the air and cling to anything it touches. This attack does no damage, but digimon affected by this are dazed and stunned from the stench.
- Data Concentration: Being a loose conglomeration of random data isn't all bad. Drawing upon the bits and pieces of its fractured identity, Raremon can produce semblances of its previous lives in the form of their attacks.
1. A large mortar-like cannon emerges from Raremon's mouth, firing off a large metal slug that causes heavy damage.
2. The cables all over Raremon's body leap to life, creating an electrical aura around it that shocks any foes that come too near.
3. The nigh-constant stream of stinking gas leaking from Raremon's mouth ignites, creating a great line of sickly-green fire that extends 30m in any one direction. - Icky-Sticky Chomp: No, it won't stop doing it no matter how much we ask. Raremon likes hugs, okay? Using its goopy graspers and voracious appetite, the undead digimon tries to stuff its new "friend" into its great, gaping maw and assimilate them into its already chaotic mass of data.
Digivolves to: Gigadramon, Ex-Tyrannomon
SECONDARY CHAMPION [LOCKED]
Attribute: Virus
Family/ies: Nightmare Soldiers, Machine Empire
Type: Cyborg, Dragon Man
Passives:
- Random Prejudice: Polyphimon really hates data typed digimon and will go out of its way to utterly obliterate hostile data types. Some of them, it shows seemingly-random bias against such as Elephantmon, Mammothmon and will attack them on sight.
- Chrome Crush Claw: With sharp claws and terrible crushing power, Polyphimon's metal arm isn't just for show! It can extend up to 25m and can deliver a wicked beating! It can also be used to pin smaller, weaker digimon with its elephantine strength.
- Draconian Breath: Polyphimon can breathe a flaming napalm-like fluid from its mouth capable of melting metal and even concrete! This cone of flame is a short-ranged burst and clings to enemy digimon, continuously burning them for up to two posts. Cooldown: 2 posts
- Sucker Punch: Polyphimon doesn't fight fair. It will use anything in its power to win, up to and including low blows or attacking when its enemy has its back turned. It should probably stop shouting while doing it, though.. A sucker punch has a 100% chance to stun for one round and has a cooldown of one round.
Digivolves to: Gigadramon, Ex-Tyrannomon
Attribute: Virus
Family/ies: Wind Guardians, Metal Empire
Type: Cyborg
Passive:
- Chrome Digizoid Frame: Gigadramon lacks a skeleton like most creatures and instead has a solid frame of digizoid below its body. This frame is supported by a series of tubes coursing throughout it that deliver data.. kind of like a metal circulatory system. These redundant systems and metal reinforcements make MetalTyrannomon very durable indeed.
- Self-Propelled Flight: Gigadramon's large, metal wings can easily carry its body aloft and allows it to travel at high speeds when airborn.
Attacks:
- Atomic Breath: Emitting a gout of blue-green atomic fire, this cyborg digimon's breath roasts its foes alive and can cause damage all the way down into their digicore.
- System Reboot: Those cables and tubes all over Gigadramon aren't just for show! They're actually part of a vital secondary system on the digimon, one that allows it to heal from its wounds. With this, Gigadramon can revert its data back into its uncorrupted state, repairing it for 1 Ultimate Level attack's worth of damage and 1 status effect. Cooldown: 3 posts.
- Rage Within the Machine: Firing off a truly stunning amount of beam-spam from the weapons hidden all throughout its body, Gigadramon creates a near-perfect sphere of destruction in a wide berth all around it. This attack is tiring on the digimon, however and sustained barrages take a huge amount of data to maintain. Because of this, it risks reverting to a previous form the longer it keeps the attack going.
1 Post: No reversion, but must use System Reboot the next post or risk serious damage.
2 Post: Reverts to Troopmon.
3 Post: Reverts to Chikurimon.
4 Posts or longer: Gigadramon reverts into its digitama, effectively removing it from combat.
- Wild Cyclone: Spinning its arms like a giant windmill, Gigadramon's perfect defense is impenetrable from all but the most cunning of foes. Probably. Maybe. I don't know, but it thinks it looks cool and you don't argue with a giant dragon.
Digivolves to: Machinedramon
Attribute: Virus
Family/ies:Metal Empire
Type: Cyborg
Passive:
- Full Metal Body: Machinedramon's body is 100% Pure Chrome Digizoid. None of those fiddly organic bits anymore. Because of this purified design, this mega level's defenses are unparalleled! However, this great defense comes at the expense of its former mobility. It can take hits like a champ, if only because it would take divine intervention to dodge most of them.
- Living Weapon: Being a living super-weapon isn't always fun. It makes it hard to have friends, go on dates, and sometimes you can't even see your kids. Machinedramon's body constantly passively absorbs data from its environment and puts off massive amounts of heat, disallowing digimon from the Champion level or lower from approaching it. Otherwise, they risk deletion from its passive systems, which isn't personal.. it's just business.
Attacks:
- Mugen Force Cannons: The two great cannons mounted on Machinedramon's back roar to life, firing twin beams of high energy.
- Full System Reboot: A massively improved version of its predecessor's System Reboot ability, Machinedramon improves on it in every way. Instead of simply purging the affected data for corruption, Machinedramon rids itself of all negative afflictions (Heals one Mega-level attack, removes up to 3 status ailments). Cooldown: 3 posts.
- God Within the Machine: As with the System Reboot, all of Gigadramon's abilities have been improved with its upgrade. Now, this attack doesn't create a massive spamming of lasers in every possible direction.. instead it literally creates a sphere of energy that completely wraps around Machinedramon 15m in every direction. The force of the energy sphere is so great that it potentially damages even Machinedramon's powerful systems.
1 Post: No reversion but must perform Full System Reboot the following round or risk damage.
2 Post: Reverts to Gigadramon.
3 Post: Reverts to Troopmon.
4 Post: Reverts to Chikurimon.
5 Post or longer: Reverts to Digitama, effectively removing it from combat.
- Crush Claw: Machinedramon isn't all guns, you know! It's also incredibly heavy! Throwing this weight behind even the simplest attack would destroy most foes, but when paired with the three-fingered battle claw mounted on its left arm (not to mention the pneumatic pistons within) it spells a recipe for mayhem.
Digivolves to: N/A
Attribute: Data
Family/ies: Virus Busters, Metal Empire
Type: Puppet
Passives:
- Virus Buster Advantage: As a Virus Buster, this digimon's attacks are specialized in dealing damage to Virus type digimon. As such, some of its attacks have secondary effects against these hated foes.
Attacks:
- Supreme Crayon!: Imitating the powers of his hero, Omnimon, Omekamon uses its great marker as a bazooka-style weapon that fires a great scintillating laser of prismatic light that burns through the forces of evil.
- Write Right Sword: Using the greatest weapon of all (even more powerful than building blocks), Imagination, Omekamon seeks to cure both worlds of their ills. The great marker-sword, also named Imagination, is the tool that will do this through a high-powered swing that purifies all that it strikes. It also corrects grammatical errors.
Enhanced: The Blade Imagination leaves behind a trail of searing paint that uses magical, purifying microbes to autocorrect the innate errors that compose Virus digimon. If left unchecked, this paint will completely re-write their digicode and render them catatonic. - Doodle Pal: Omekamon uses its great artistic power to create a crude duplicate of itself using Imagination's magical paint. This ersatz-mon has all of the physical abilities of Omekamon without any of the special attacks.
- Let's Play Pretend!: Omekamon copies the attack last used against it, duplicating it perfectly and sending it back at its original user.

OPTIONAL DIGIVOLUTIONS
Digimental of Imagination
Attribute: Vaccine
Family/ies: Metal Empire, Virus Busters
Type: Cyborg
Passives:
- Virus Buster Advantage: As a Virus Buster, this digimon's attacks are specialized in dealing damage to Virus type digimon. As such, some of its attacks have secondary effects against these hated foes.
Attacks:
- More Gun: Firing a powerful slug from its chest gun, the slow-moving missile is only really effective at very short distances because of this slow speed. When it comes in contact with any surface, it explodes with great force strong enough to leave craters in solid stone.
Enhanced: The bullet contains a small amount of sentience and possesses a great hatred for its vilest foes. It will actively seek them out and is capable of remaining airborne over extended periods of time until either making contact with its designated target or returning to Deputymon as a scout. Doing so tuckers the little guy out for anywhere between two rounds and a full day, depending on the distance traveled. - Long Arm of the Law: Extending its metal arms up to 10m, Deputymon's snakelike appendages constrict and can constrain digimon many times its size.
Enhanced: The metal limbs have a disruptive electrical current that runs along them that resonates with the digital frequency of Virus types. This current can stun weaker digimon for up to two posts but requires a three post cooldown if successful. - Six Shots or Seven?: Deputymon fires seemingly limitless barrage of blasts from its two handheld revolvers, not stopping to aim or reload.
Digivolves to: Ex-Tyrannomon
Digimental of Innocence
Attribute: Vaccine
Family/ies: Nature Spirits, Metal Empire
Type: Puppet
Passive:
- Blunt Force Resistance: Being soft of body and of great fortitude, this digimon possesses great resistance to all blunt force trauma. This includes things such as hammers, fists, and even many thrown attacks. However, the price of this is that he takes extra damage from sharp things such as fangs, claws, and blades.
- Monofilament Fibers: This digimon's body is woven from some of the finest fibers in the digital world, worked from Red Digizoid, the hardest of known materials available. These threads provide great defensive capabilities and resistance to ripping, tearing, and cutting attacks.
Attacks:
- Vorpal Caltrops: Reaching into the infinite blackness of his dark heart, Ex-Tyrannomon coats the battlefield with the deadliest of the weapons humankind has to offer: Children's building blocks. They erupt from his facial opening as a great geyser that lasts a full round and flies a great distance of up to fifty meters. The plastic bricks cut like razor blades as they sail through the air at great speed.
Secondary Effect: This attack also causes a terrain hazard in the affected areas. Their jagged plastic edges rip and tear the flesh of any foes that dare step on them. Its soft, cushy feet are specifically designed to resist this attack. Due to the highly destructive nature of this attack, it has a cooldown of three posts. - Fluff-Filled Fortress: Withdrawing into its fluffy exterior, the puppet digimon becomes immune to all but the most powerful attacks. It is completely immobile and lacks input from all of its senses in this state.
- Wild Cyclone: Spinning its arms like a giant windmill, Ex-Tyrannomon's perfect defense is impenetrable from all but the most cunning of foes. Probably. Maybe. I don't know, but it thinks it looks cool and you don't argue with a giant dinosaur.
