Ryouta Dive Lv1 - [Prelude] - [Mana]

Actually, he seriously cannot relax at all. Why? Well... first... the girl beside her is his soon to be girlfriend. While sleeping together just now was nice enough, it's really awkward when sleeping together and there's someone watching... who, you ask? Well... it's Tatsuya's girlfriend. He have to admit she's very out of what he thought about her, but... well, this awkward situation where she's forced to sit on a chair beside them, and watches the diving scene unfold is... awkward, for lack of better term.
"...Uh... so... um, Mana... ready?" Ryouta asked.
He have no idea whether the girl know about Mana's relationship with Charles or not, but... he just hoped that being Tatsuya's girlfriend, the girl is... a little bit open minded. Open minded would help it a lot, really... He'd hate if she have to storm out or stare him like he's a scum... well, he deserved that much, but... no, not today. He just want to open himself up to his girlfriend. Speaking of which, this is quite late in Digital World.

After waking up, the both of them have agreed on calling Nanami to begin with the dive thing. Mana had changed clothes into something more fitting the situation, and now was using her usual attire, yet still hadn't indulged in hearing her hoody to not tangle her hair too much.
After a warm greeting towards Nanami, they began to get the preparations ready. She had apologized about her having to bore herself out of her mind as she wanted the dive thing, but ultimately she had agreed, and Mana was quite happy about that.
Yeah, maybe she'd think that she was cheating on Charles (if Tatsuya has told her about that), but at this stage, she didn't really care about it. If Nanami wanted to stop being her friend, she'd feel extremely sad, but she was already determined in her course of action. And so, when his beloved asked her if she was ready, she nodded. "I am, Ryo-kun. We can start when you wish, Nami-chan".
She didn't know if Ayaka had to sleep too, or if she would enter Ryouta's dream realm, but if she didn't have to, at least she'd have a good time with her 'daughter', and Nanami wouldn't be so bored after all. And so... she laid in bed, closing her eyes and not really sure about what to do.

Honestly, the request is not like how she thought... but eh, it's still a request from a dear friend. She thought it's probably just something along line of helping in battle or something, but... when she read the message fully, it's about... diving. Well, here comes the awkwardness. Nanami doesn't really like seeing two peoples in scene like her situation with Tatsuya... Well, she know it's just sleeping together, but diving is a sacred ceremony between couples, right? And so... Nanami is worried. She asked a little about Mana to Tatsuya, and heard a little bit about her boyfriend but... this guy doesn't seem to be that one? Does their relationship doesn't work out? She only can wonder, but ultimately, she doesn't care that much... her mind is focused on how to make this not awkward and decides to borrow some partition stuff... something like that. Nanami decided to sleep on a chair. According to Ariamon, the process can take about fifteen minutes... the maximum is thirty minutes and no more.
"Alright, let's... do it... sorry if I interrupting your little private time, but... I guess it can't be helped... Rea..."
"Alright... please, do relax and don't worry because this process is fully safe. If anything happened, I'll eject you before anything goes too wrong... Remember, whatever you do, don't get indulged in that world. There's real world waiting for you.... Also, Okaa-sama... forgive me, but unless the dive getting really dangerous, I cannot let you enter just yet... it's because if you both entered simultaneously, the world would take it as a mental assault. So we need to make his world accept Mana first. Also... I cannot be interacted with as long as I'm operating the dive so... please on the meantime, humor yourself with Nanami or Dracomon. Now... let's begin..."
Ariamon immediately start rotating her orbs in very fast speed.
"Vantha alphe|frea tesve noph."
Countless screens appeared in the room, encircling Ariamon like holographic computer sphere.
"Gramnes rhearids pihle -> <0x1102> -> Linea Oerbi Veri 01..."
A golden colored orb came out from Ryouta as he suddenly fell asleep. The orb expanded, creating a holographic miniature of a world with nine moons.
"Efhis-eri cosia nell... nue, nue, nue, nue, nue, crozel terias, crozel phiarid..."
A holographic copy came from each of Mana and Ryouta's body, linked to their real body by a string made of light before turning into very small light which goes inside the planet.
Enne nualtha, exhia hori...
Rennel echheris vartha nearid...
Entria <AGRASATH> Oerbi Veri 01

Nanami and Rea's calm words of both apology and the method they'd use to get them into this place calmed the girl down. She began to feel relaxed. She heard attentively Ariamon's words, making sure that she'd remember them. "It's okay, Nami-chan! Don't be sorry, after all I requested this! I should thank you for obliging so quickly and readily, really!"-
Ayaka nodded at her "daughter's" words too. A pity that she wouldn't be able to help Mana or be able to spend time together with Aria, but as Nanami had said, it couldn't be helped. So, she sighed as she watched the oncoming show intently.
What Rea did next was fitting of an authentic show of las Vegas. Apparently, it seemed as if this dive was some kind of computerized operation. The golden orb coming out from Ryouta... it expanded until something aking to a planet with nine orbiting moons was created. Then... from both her partner's and Ryouta's body, a seemingly holographic copy was made. They were connected to their real bodies by some strange light; Ayaka grew a little proccupied until... the two of them transformed and entered the planet.
Mana was astounded... so that's what it felt to be diving... hopefully she would get a hang of it soon enough.

The first time entering the diving sequence, Mana would fall like a meteor to the ground before she goes piercing the ground. It doesn't feel hurt, but... she definitely heading to the deepest layer. Each layer, it's like she's repeating the sequence, until the eighth time, where suddenly she's transported in an altar-like place. The altar is made of some shining crystal, and it's apparently inside a cave with many different shining ores. Nothing seem to be here, before suddenly Ariamon appeared beside her.
Mana, can you hear me? I'm sorry, because this is not something directly linked to me, you only can hear me through transmission like this... This is Ryouta's first level. I'll explain to you the rule of diving... Generally, each Dive World have different rules... as for Ryouta, his rule is that he got no point system, which make it easier... but also harder. His system revolves around 'Trust Level'.
A small screen appeared in front of Mana. It have writing that said: Level 1: Trust Level 9 out of 9
You're fully trusted by Ryouta it's seem... Level 1 Ryouta must've trusted you to such great deal... well, it's no wonder. Generally, first level Dived are the same to their real world self... but as you goes deeper, the more their true personality shows. Remember, each of these Ryoutas are fragments of the real Ryouta. They might be Ryouta, but at the same time, they doesn't fully equate to the Ryouta of the Real World. Do believe in the Ryouta of the Real World and the Ryouta of this world. Unless you do so, you'll definitely took everything to heart. Remember one thing... although the Ryouta in the real world know you, treasure you, love you, there might be a Ryouta who doesn't know your existence at all. When that happened, I want you to brace yourself and don't take it personally.
And so, another screen appeared. This time, it shows the full layout of the world, in miniature version. The world in shape of a land encircled by mountain ranges. By the look of it, there's a fortress city on the center, where there are four spots, while there's two other spots outside...
Calling this screen would inform you with everything you want to know... think it as a communicator with this world. By the way, this world doesn't have antibody. The one called antibody is basically a mind guardian, used when the diver is way too foreign for the dived. Well, without further ado, I'll leave you to the diving scene... If you need anything, please call me. I'll try my best to come as fast as I can. Speaking of which, to go to specific spot, just tap the screen and you'll be teleported there.... but it's fine if you want to walk around, too. Maybe that will be much better.
Ryouta's World: Warrior's Land Agrasath It's a small land with desert climate, encircled by mountain. The trees are withering, and it's seem to be a really harsh place to live. However, there's something else hidden within. There's a certain warmth waiting for the diver that came. No matter what's the current story is, there seem to be a little moral lesson in the end.
Important points:
Aigis Gate: A gate to the city. Is very solid and heavily guarded. Apparently, there's a great mistrust toward strangers here. However, it's normal because the resources here are very limited. The city will not accept peoples unless they have pass.
Commercial District: The small district of the city where citizen can sell or buy wares. Merchant rarely came, so it's not as crowded as how a commercial district is supposed to be.
Sword on the Stone Park: A place where a big sword on the stone is placed. The sword is the legendary sword of a great hero, but it seem to lack the luster of the past. The sword is waiting for the next cycle hero to pull it out. It's said that great chaos will appear once the sword is pulled.
The Palace: An abandoned palace. The ruler of this country seem to left out of despair. Right now, the one who rule the city is the mayor, but he doesn't live here. He live somewhere near Sword on the Stone Park.
A Small Farm House: Apparently, Ryouta lives here in this world.
Altar of Sky and Earth: The cave where Mana appeared. It's seem to hold very important function.
Event Priority List: Aigis Gate: * -City not Enterable- Small Farm House: *** Altar of Sky and Earth: -
Explanation: * = Might hold an event ** = Hold an event/secret *** = Important to progress

Mana had to say... that 'diving' had a very literal meaning, at least in her current situation. She was falling and falling and falling until she hit the ground. It didn't actually hurt but... she was descending like a drill through the layers, until she had reached the deepest one. In there, she was teleported into some kind of altar. Out of the blue, Rea appeared besides her, explaining how this thing worked. She began to nod at every explanation she gave, making sure to pay as much attention as she could. She felt kinda sad when the digimon mentioned the possibility of Ryouta not even recognizing her, but she had to be strong for him. She would survive this place and help him; that was one of the few thing she could actually do to return to him all the things she had done for her.
And so, another screen appeared, this time, showing some kind of map. It was kind of nifty, and that way she would probably get around this place much easily. She heard the last bit about antibody that Rea had said, and having sat through all her speech, she began to find out how this world worked. The locations seemed to be nifty. Apparently, something would happen if she went to the gate, and Ryouta was in a nearby farmland. Giving the altar she was a final look, but frowing at the fact that it didn't have anything important, she began to walk towards the Aigis Gates. Seriously, teleporting? That would ruin every instant she had to sightsee the inside's of Ryouta's mind. Even if this place looked to be rough, it was part of Ryouta, and she wouldn't waste the chance to getting to know him a little better.

There's nothing much to see along the way other than occasional Saberdramon flying on the distance... it looks like they're feral as they're unable to talk. Looking at Mana, they stared at her for a while before looking aside disinterestedly. It's seem that she's not a worthy prey in their mind. Despite it's hot, occasional shade from the clouds make this place like an oasis town as a comparison to something like Sahara Desert.
As she gone to Aigis Gate, there are about a cavalry worth of knights riding armored Peckmons. It's apparent that they're returning from somewhere, most probably somewhere far enough. They're carrying loads of bottle... From the liquid that dropping to the ground, most likely it's water... fresh water. The guards saluted at them before opening the gate. Still, none of them seem to be happy... That's when Mana could see that not only they carries water but also... what looked box. One of soldier apparently clumsy enough to spill the content, which looks like... a mummy. Still bleeding. The implication? Dead soldiers.
Some shouting heard from the commander before the said soldier shakily returned the corpses to the crate yet again.
They finally goes in, and then, one of the gate guards saw Mana.
"Miss, are you lost? Or are you a traveler?" he asked. "Either way, unless you have a pass, you cannot enter here. If you don't have it, I would have to ask you to leave... sorry, it's the rule."

As she transversed by Ryouta's mind passage, she couldn't but marvel at the world that unfolded at her. It was almost as if digimons had replaced animals together. She kept advancing, even if there was nothing of interest to see.
As she neared the Aigis Gate, she saw a lot of men that resembled knights. It was like those western history classes, but with giant black bird-guys instead of actual horses. It seemed that they were... searching for water? Maybe they had been in a oasis of sorts. Until... she gasped when she saw the dissecated, yet bleeding body; Mana was a bit squeamish, so it kinda affected her, at least until a guy shouted and they packed the seemingly dead body again.
As she finally made her way in, the guards finally stopped her. "Oh, but I'm only a little girl that lost herself in this place, sir" she said innocently as she made her best 'puss in boots' face "There's no way for a poor and helpless girl to enter this place, or at least to gain a temporary pass? I've been traveling for quite the time, and I'm a little tired, I swear I won't be a burden... please?".

"Sorry, kid. Rule are rule. We cannot let you pass without one of those passes," another guard replied, shrugging as he said so. "If you need anything, just go to that farmhouse near here. It's not that far. If you ask me, no one would help you inside anyway. We're in crisis of resources, especially water and food. If you want to come in, you have to get some form of pas, then get scanned. If you have friend or family, their pass also work for you. Then again, you still need money. No dough, no service!"
It's obvious that they're adamant in not letting her to go through. It'll be useless even if she cry or she protested to stay on place... in fact, it might be a bit dangerous, seeing how there are two Veedramons beside the guards, one on each side. The Veedramons doesn't look that pleased either with her presence.
"...Well, if there's nothing else, can you scram? Honestly, go bother someone else with less serious job!"

Mana looked at the guard genuinely sad, seriously, what was wrong with them? It wasn't as if she were some lazy an fat old man with the intention of just eating all their food. She was a rather scrawny and little (albeit tall for her age) young girl. Well, whatever. "Okay guys" she finally responded the guards "Hopefully I'll be able to enter soon! Bye!".
She was puzzled about the fact that she nedeed both a pass and money to get food in th city; it was almost as if something really weird was happening in there. Anyway, that was supposed to be the event? It was kinda... lame. Before departing from the gate, she searched for anything else of interest in the area, and if she didn't find it, she'd just go to the Small Farm House. She was really excited about seeing Ryouta. If she was honest with herself, she had been giddy to visit him, but apparently the places with one and two stars stopped having events when you visited the ones with three, and she wanted to expeiment everything this world could bring to her... even if it was some mean guards and their equally mean Veedramons. While walking, she wondered how this place's Ryouta would be, and if he'd be friendly to her.

With there's no event nearby, nor there's nothing in the way as she gone to the farmhouse... Now, she's in for surprise.
Basically? Fanservicy time. Her boyfriend is barechested, plowing the ground. Despite the lack of water here, it looks like the vegetables around him are growing rather well. Still, the soil is obviously really hard, and Ryouta's muscular build shows even more definition thanks to him using more strength to plow the ground... and the feedback is obviously quite tasking to his muscles. It's seem that the 500 m x 500 m farm belongs entirely to him. The tanned boy wiped his sweats before his eyes landed at Mana. He grinned at her.
"I wondered when would you arrive, Mana."
The boy approached her and lifted her happily, grinning and kissing her cheek. He lowered her down gently soon after. "Welcome to my world. It's surprising, right? I just seen it myself, and... wow, no comment... but apparently my role here is just a farmboy... You can see that easily from my clothes!"
To soften the words a bit, it's barely presentable. Patches of fabrics here and there, pants secured by fabric as belt... it's way beyond nice. Still, he's the same Ryouta from the world where she was, just probably forced to roleplay.
"So, anything up?" he asked

As she made her way through the Small Farm House (that wasn't that small, 500mx500m was way bigger than what Mana actually thought), she couldn't but open her mouth agape at what was happening in front of her. It was Ryouta, barechested and at work, plowing the ground. She tried in vain to snap out of it, but she was just too mesmerized by his body for her body to obey the the pathetic attempts of her mind; not that it tried very hard, mind you. It almost seemed like her mind was trying to snap her out of pure obligation, as it was enjoying the show too.
She felt as if her entire body melt when he grinned at her, and although her ears couldn't but register bare traces of the boy's intent with his words, she was already smiling at him. She kissed him back when he kissed her on the cheek, and apparently... he was the very same Ryouta from outside? That only made her smile even wider. He explained his role in this place, and although it didn't seem to be as impressive, she wasn't in for the appearance his clothes gave him, but rather... well, it didn't matter as of now. She blushed a little, realizing that she hadn't uttered a word as for yet. "I'm so happy to see you, Ryo-kun!" she finally said, hugging him for a second "And oh, uh, apparently this thing is like one of those games where you have to follow a storyline or something like that. Depending on what happens, I guess that something will happen to you too? I really don't know. Anyway, I was in the gates previously and there were only a group of meanies that said that I couldn't get in without a pass and that I needed money to buy food; kinda rude, don't you think? Anyway, the next stop was here, so I guess that you're related to whatever happens in here next? Maybe if I go with you they'll let me in? Those guys said something about friends and family passes counting for me too, so maybe you'll help me to get in!".
She made a pause, a little confused at her own words. "But... I don't know if I have to do that yet, I mean... I don't know where the history goes now... oh, right! I'm so dumb!".
She tried to check the star level of each place now that she was with Ryouta. Maybe things had changed?

"Yeah, that's what my initial thought said, too... But I don't know, it's as if there's something that forces me to obey the rule of the world here... I can give you histories, but... it's as if there's just some missing details... I have no idea. Maybe it's meant for you to solve? I don't understand much myself..."
There's apparently still no changes on the status other than the Aigis Gate now lacked the star symbol on it, which means that it's already cleared. The three stars has yet vanished from this place, which means probably the event here still has yet unfolded.
"Well, you must be tired, so... let's go in? In this world, apparently I'm an orphan, so I live alone... still, I don't feel any sort of burden from it... it's really felt like playing a game, but not really much of a game... You can lay inside, and have some water... I don't have much food either, but... I guess you and I can go to the city later. I got the pass anyway... Here!"
He showed her a pass that looks like an ID card. "Also, for some reason, the lore of this place made me always cover my body, especially my chest when I go to the city... I don't know why, but... there's a faint memory of peoples bullying me for something... I guess it's related to this..."
Ryouta pointed at his right chest, where he got a symbol of Crest of Justice there. The symbol is much bigger than how it's supposed to be in the real life, and it covered nearly his whole right chest.
If they entered his house, it's actually quite spacious, but empty. There's a room with four beds, and there's another with a big bed. Other than that is a kitchen, a small food storage and dining table with seven chairs.
"Rest wherever you want, I'll get you some water."

Apparently, this world had a really funny way of working, with the passes thing, and... Ryouta's memory being a little faulty for some reason or another. Mana supposed that if he remembered everything, it'd be just too easy, so... she'd left that for now.
So the event of the Aigis Gate was her being told 'no'? So much for that. And apparently, something had to happen here before the history could advance, so she accepted Ryouta's offer and went in the house.
He explained that he was an orphan in this world; she felt a little sad for it, but at least he seemed to not to be burdened about it because it felt as if playing a game. "Okay, I'll just lay on a random bed. Truth is that I'm no that tired, but I can always make some time to spend with my Ryo-kun, right? Specially since you have... that body. It's almost as if this world wanted to tease me; but for some reason that doesn't surprise me. It's your mind, after all. And don't worry about food; after those noodles, I think I can go forward for a while, but I guess that'll have to go to the city sooner or later, so I guess that we could grab a bite in there anyway".
Apparently, the way this world worked was indeed more strange than what Mana initially thought with him having to conceal that mark of her chest. "Well, maybe we have to discover that to get out of this place, who knows" she said as she entered to house. It was quite big, even if most of the space was empty.
"Uhm..." she saw the four beds "If you're an orphan, that means that Ren-kun, Kizu-chan and Ino-chan are...? Better if I don't ask".
She went to the big bed and laid there, sighing at the situation and awaiting for Ryouta to bring her some water. This place was too weird; hopefully she'd get used to it soon enough.

"Careful with what you wished," Ryouta said, grinning while carrying a glass of water with him before handing it to her. "You're lucky that this me is quite the same with the one from the world outside. What happened if it's not me who know our promise, huh? I might would kiss you on the lips without any regret, Mana... Also, what with my body? It's exactly the same after a good work out back home. So if you want a fanservice moment, you can just go to my house right when I train."
He leaned down and kissed her cheek yet again. He really love that affectionate gesture. Still, when asked about his family here, Ryouta shook his head, like telling her he have no idea either. "I'm guessing this is level one, so that my mind hasn't fully integrated to the story... But there's faint feeling that might be the case. I... I dunno what to think about it, so I just... pretended that they're in vacation... easier that way, really... If I think too much about it, I'm afraid I'll cry..."
He sat beside her and stroke her head.
"Hmmmm... so, I don't think we're supposed to move to the next event yet..."
True, still no change on the screen.
"So there's seem something that you should ask beforehand... so do you have any question?"
