Fancy paperweights? That was odd. Megan had thought that only those who possess the trait that the digimental represents could pick them up. Though that could have just been her digimental. Or perhaps the law of digimentals change when they are in the human world? Or they could of lost that fact after they are first picked up?
She's just overthinking this whole thing, isn't she?
Megan looked back over at Kurama as he suggested that the woman may need some help. She nodded in agreement as she tapped Kami's shoulder and motioned for him to follow her to the back room. As they entered the back room, Megan was a little surprised at how normal it looked. The only thing that looked off was the wardrobe in the middle of the room. Yet she guessed that it only made sense. The digimon couldn't risk revealing himself by someone accidentally peeking into his backroom.
Looking at the woman, Megan decided it was probably best to introduce herself. "Well I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Megan Korlif, and this is my friend Kami." She said as she gave the woman a small smile. Megan had to admit, all things considered, she was acting pretty calm about all this.

"Hello, I'm Rayanne Ozuka," Rayanne greeted Megan. Kurama snapped his fingers. "That's where I recognize you. You're the mother of those two kids that disappeared a few weeks ago," he stated. You see, on the day of their 18th birthday, both Nova and Salla Ozuka mysteriously disappeared. All that was found was a circular indentation in the ground where Nova stood and a jagged one with cracks around it. "And?" Rayanne asked. "I think I know what happened to them, and I'm sure Megan came to the same conclusion I did. I think they must've ended up in another world," Kurama explained. "Don't joke about this. What you said is just..." Rayanne paused for a moment to think of the best word.
"Crazy? To be fair if you told anyone other than the people in this room that an egg came out of an electronic device they'd think you're crazy," Kurama pointed out. "...Good point. What about this other world?" Rayanne asked. Kurama thought briefly on how to explain the subject to her. "...This other world, the Digital World, is full of creatures called Digital Monsters, or Digimon for short. Like people, there are both good and bad Digimon," he explained.

A mother who's kids both disappeared a few weeks ago? I think I remember hearing something about that. Megan thought as she delve into the archives of her mind, trying to remember where exactly she heard it from. Was it something that was told from DATS, or maybe it was on the news? It's been to long that she couldn't quite recall. Whatever the case though, it was obvious to her what exactly happen to the two kids.
She turned her head towards Kurama as he explained the digital world to Rayanne. She didn't seem to believe him at first, but he quickly convinced her of the fact. "Hey Kami. Could you please remove your disguise when I give you a sign?" She asked him with a few hand gestures. The turtle digimon gave a nod as he kept an eye on the conversation.
"I have to admit Rayanne. You seem to be taking this pretty well. Most new tamers I have met usually aren't so easily convinced of there being another world like you are." Megan told Rayanne, signing what she just said so that Kami could stay in the conversation. She had nothing else to really add as Kuruma seemed to be explaining things pretty well.

"I've watched an egg come out of the screen of my laptop. I don't think I should be too surprised that there's a world that's probably made of data," Rayanne pointed out. "As a matter of fact, it is made out of data, but that's beside the point. The Digital World can be a dangerous place, so your Digimon will need some training if you plan to look for your children there," Kurama explained. "Are you sure about training him? He's a newborn," Rayanne questioned. "Of course I'm sure. We can start his training as soon as he-" Kurama was cut off when Rayanne's Digimon started shining. "Puttimon Digivolve to... Kyupimon!"
When the light stopped, a slightly different Digimon was in Rayanne's arm. "...He does that. Well that makes things easier," Kurama stated. "Now how should I explain this?" Kurama wondered aloud. Rayanne, meanwhile, placed the Digimental in her bag and pulled out a notepad and got her pencil ready, her Kyupimon flying close by. "...Digivolution is the process where Digimon evolve and become stronger. Kyupimon may even go back to being Puttimon," Kurama told Rayanne. As he was explaining this Rayanne began taking notes in case she had to explain it to someone later or forgot.

Kami hated to admit it, but he was a little jeolous of the newly digivolved Kyupimon. It took several days to accomplish what the Kyupimon did in an hour. It was time like these that made Kami wonder how capability Megan and him really were. Especially with how many problem they usually have when it comes to digivolution. Ehh... He should really not think about it right now.
"What kind of training are thinking of?" Megan asked as she looked at the newly digivolved digimon. Despite what the name says, In-training digimon isn't exactly a good level for them to start training at. Then something else occurred to her. "What's his name, by the way?"

"Well... Digimon usually Digivolve in presence of danger. I could always pull the plug should things go awry, but I don't feel right letting her travel there without at least a rookie, even if she has a Digimental now. This way we can get two birds with one stone," Kurama explained. "That's right, I'm probably going to have to call him something at some point," Rayanne stated when Megan asked what Kyupimon's name was. She pondered this for a moment. "How about 'Luke'?" Rayanne asked the Kyupimon. "Sounds good to me," the newly dubbed Luke answered.
"Perhaps you two would like to help them with their training take off some of the work load?" Kurama asked Megan and Kami. "Well I'm ready for action. The sooner Rayanne can have her happy family back, the better," Luke stated. "Well since you feel so strongly about that..." Kurama walked over to the lone wardrobe and opened it. through it, a wide open field and blue sky could be seen. "Right this way. I'm sure you'll find someone worth facing," Kurama said, indicating the the plains that could be seen through the wardrobe. In truth, it wasn't a portal to the Digital World, as Rayanne thought as she stepped through. with Luke hovering close by.
What took her off guard was that a human was inside the space she entered holding her Digivice. Wait, no, it was still clipped to her bag. Standing next to him was some sort of red kitsune Digimon. What she didn't realize is that this was the previous owner of her Digivice, but perhaps Megan would figure that out.

"That we probably should." Megan said as Kuruma advised that they help out with the two's training. While she wasn't exactly sure this was a smart thing to do, she could understand Rayanne's reasoning. The sooner she could get to the digital world, the sooner she could locate her children. So it probably was best for them if Luke reached Rookie before they left.
The two then followed after as the group began to enter the wardrobe. "This kind of reminds me of Narnia." Megan pointed out as they ended up in a small field. As she took a quick look around though, she noticed something odd. She expected it to be some form of portal to the digital world, yet this wasn't any place she recognize. Admittedly she hadn't been to many locations in the digital world, but the whole place still felt off.
Kami was more certain about it. He would recognize his world in an instant, and this isn't it. Where could they possibly be? Thanks to Megan interpreting what everyone was saying for him, he got a gist of why they entered this portal. Yet what made this place so special for training. Then, in front of him, he saw the tamer pair the appeared before them. Yet, like this whole place, something was off about them. And why do they have the same digivice as Rayanne?
"Megan. You don't think they are who I think they are, do you?"[/i] Kami asked his tamer in sign who responded with a small nod. The two they face have sadly long departed, yet how they could possibly be here was beyond Megan's comprehension. Could they just be remnant data in the form of them, or maybe just memories given form thanks to this strange wardrobe? She had no way of truly telling, but she knew full well that she needed to keep wary of what could possibly happen.

"Yeah, all we're missing is a lion and a witch," Rayanne agreed when Magan said it reminded her of Narnia. "I'll confess, I did get the idea from Narnia," Kurama admitted from the other side of the portal. The kitsune Digimon fell onto all fours. "Erm, now may be a bad time to point out that I have no damaging attacks," Luke stated as he realized this. Rayanne facepalmed at this. "What am I going to do with you?" she wondered aloud. "Hey, at least I'm a healer," Luke pointed out. "Oh good, so you're just helpless without someone guarding you?" Rayanne asked. "Pretty much," Luke admitted. "Welp, here goes nothing," he stated before flying off.
"Super Thunder Strike!" Elecmon launched a bolt of electricity at Luke. Luke swerved out of the way as if he had been flying for years. A ring of light formed on his horn. "Angel Ring!" He gripped the ring of light and threw it. Not expecting it to do much, the Elecmon made no move to avoid it. When it entered his body, he felt his whole body relax as a soothing sensation went through him. However, that didn't last long as he was soon rammed by Luke. Rayanne meanwhile breathed a sigh of relief. Luke was doing better than she dared to hope already.

"There's more ways to fight then just by attacking. I'm sure you both will find some way to over come this test." Megan said as she watched the fight begin. She didn't like having to sit back and watch, but what else was she suppose to do. This was Luke and Rayanne's test. All she was really here for was in case something went wrong.
Kami also wasn't exactly happy to just sit back and watch either. While he too understood that this was a part of Luke and Rayanne's training, it still didn't feel right to sit back and watch an In-training digimon get rammed by a Elecmon like that. Hopefully they will figure out what they were suppose to do soon.
Megan's thoughts then turned towards the Tamer of the Elecmon they were facing. She hasn't spoken a word yet. Could it be a hint of what she truly was, or was it just because no one has spoke to her yet? Only one way to really find out.
"If you don't mind me asking, what is your name?" Megan asked the Elecmon's tamer out of honest curiosity. It wasn't just to learn if the girl could talk though. It was so that if the girl had in fact passed away during her adventures in the digital world, then perhaps Megan could help bring her family some closure.

((The shade is male, and Luke rammed Elecmon, not the other way around.))
"I was Oliver, James Oliver," the tamer spoke. Luke's strategy was to relax his target and attack. It wasn't a bad plan, but was predictable. Luke returned to the air knowing that Elecmon could cause more damage to him than he could to Elecmon. Elecmon on the other hand fanned his tails out again. "Lightning Knife!" Elecmon did a 360 on one of his front legs, sending blades of electricity flying toward Luke from his tails. Luke swerved and barrel-rolled out of the way of each like a pro until one got him on one of his wings.
That's when Luke began to shine again. "Kyupimon Digivolve to..." Kyupimon began to change shape, becoming human-like. His wings elongated and split apart, going from two to eight. The horn on his head retracted as two wings took its place. "Lucemon!" The angel Digimon smirked. "I've been storing up energy until this point. Now it's a fair fight," Luke stated. He held out his hand. "Divine Feat!" A light appeared in his hand and took the form of a silver spear. Luke then dived down, aiming to skewer Elecmon. Unfortunately, he missed as the Elecmon jumped aside. "Well it seems Luke is a lot more capable of fighting now that he's Lucemon," Rayanne stated.

((Oh... Sorry. Must have completely misread your posts. I'll keep it in mind in the future.))
James Oliver? So he's a foreigner too. Seems pretty common for humans involved with the digital world be from a country other then Japan. She wondered why? Well, whatever the case may be, she will have to dedicate his name to memory. His family deserves some closure after all. If only she had something more physical to prove his demise. That's something she'll have to figure out in the future.
The fight seem to be coming to a head as Luke dodge Elecmon's counter attack. Then for a sudden turn of events, Luke began to glow and digivolve once again. Now that's just unfair. Kami thought as he watched Luke become a Lucemon. Not only was he able to digivolve twice in a matter of hours, but he also has a very human like look to it. IF not for the wings and horn, he probably could pass off as a human with no need for a holosuit. Life is just not fair...
"It seems like it." Megan responded to Rayanne as she watch the fight. Luke has quite a bit of energy for someone who just hatched. She wondered what that meant for Rayanne's and Luke's connection with each other. It must be strong for him to digivolve twice already. Just another question in a long line of stuff for her to figure out.

Luke frowned. He was faring well for his first battle, but why did he still feel as if he were in danger? "Cross Strike!" Luke sent ten orbs of energy in the formation of a cross flying at Elecmon. They exploded into him, leaving him looking rather beat up. Then Luke finally figured it out. "You can Digivolve, can't you?" he asked. The Elecmon grinned before shining. "Elecmon Digivolve to... Aegiomon!" Luke studied his opponent briefly. "I may of forgotten that his partner was a God Man type," Kurama mentioned sheepishly from the other side of the portal. "Now he tells me," Rayanne groans. "I doubt I can Digivolve like that a third time, and I'm stuck at close range for now," Luke stated.
"Iron Thrust!" Aegiomon aimed a powerful kick at Luke's gut. "Shield of Fate!" Luke then blocked the attack with a shield made of light. "Well at least Luke's calm about this," Rayanne muttered. This battle was going to be challenging one, even with a Digimental. While Luke was holding up well right now, Rayanne knew that Megan would most likely have to intervene at some point. It was only a matter of time.

"Is that so?" Megan replied to Kurama with a small frown, "Well I guess I can't blame you. I didn't think the Elecmon would step it up so soon. I also have to admit this is the first time I've ever seen an Aegiomon before."
Kami was also watching the fight carefully, wondering if he should go and intervene. There was no way Luke was going to digivolve into Champion form to deal with this. At least not without physically effecting his tamer with all the energy he's borrowing from her. The only choices they seem to have is try to tough it out, or try to see what the digimental can do. Yet how powerful was this Aegiomon actually? Was it possible that he could reach Ultimate level? If so, then Kami would have no choice, but to intervene in a form he would prefer to avoid using for Megan's sake.

"His kicks are strong. I don't think my shield will stand up too many more," Luke stated calmly as he thrusted his spear. Aegiomon sidestepped the spear and aimed another powerful kick at Luke, who in turn blocked with his shield. "How are you this calm when you're in danger?" Rayanne asked. Luke shrugged in reply. "Just be careful. I'd rather not see you get hurt too badly," she told him. Her Digimental began shining in her bag. She pulled it out to find it had changed slightly. The design was the same, but it seemed a little heavier. The lightning bolts also had a metallic luster. "And it appears your real Digimental is here," Kurama stated. "Hm.... Digi-Armor Energize!" Rayanne called out.
"Lucemon Armor Digivolve to..." Luke became enveloped in lightning. Unknown Digimon entered his visage as he changed shape. "Thunder Birdmon, the Lightning of Benevolence!" Luke took to the sky as he took the form of a large bird. This form should give me a huge advantage, but why can't I shake this uneasy feeling? Luke wondered. Surely this will go smooth- wait is he smiling? Rayanne thought as she studied Aegiomon. The Aegiomon glanced back to James as if silently asking a question. The shade nodded in reply. "Now what could they be up to?" Rayanne asked Megan quietly. She didn't like the way he smiled, and liked the way he looked back at his tamer even less.

Kami was reaching his limit. Not only did Luke armor digivolve into a giant bird like digimon like he could, but also one that looked cooler then him as well. Why must life be so unfair?
Megan looked at the downtrodden Kami with a worried look. She really hoped everything was alright with him as she returned her attention back to the battle. "I can't say for certain, but I do have a guess. I mean. What does one do when a enemy is outside the range of their sword? You switch tactics and focus on range combat instead. And something tells me that Aegiomon isn't exactly fit to do that in the form he's currently in." Megan explained to Rayanne. Hopefully what was to come wouldn't be to difficult for them to overcome. It's going to be a challenge for sure.
