Aegiomon reverted to Elecmon as James produced a red object from his jacket pocket. Upon closer inspection, the design was similar to the Digimental of Benevolence, only with flames instead of lightning bolts. "A Digimental?!" Rayanne gasped. "Digi-Armor Energize!" James called out. "Elecmon Armor Digivolve to..." Elecmon was enveloped in flames in a similar manner as Luke. It even took an avian shape. "Birdramon, the flame of passion!" Birdramon took to the skies, soaring to the same height as Luke. "Great, so he can fly too," Rayanne groaned. "Spark Wing!" Luke sent electrified feathers flying at Birdramon.
"Meteor Wing!" Birdramon retaliated by sending fireballs toward Luke, which cancelled out his attack. "Looks like they're evenly matched. At this point it all comes down to skill," Kurama stated. Rayanne nodded nervously. Now they knew just how much the underestimated their opponents. The two birds stared each other down as if trying to figure out their next move."Why did one have to be a semi clone of the other?" Rayanne wondered aloud. Two similar Digimon, two similar fighting styles. Needless to say, this test would prove difficult.

"Ehh... That's not to uncommon in the digital world actually." Megan mentioned as Rayanne wondered why they were semi clones of each other, "Though who knows. It could be just plain coincidence, or it could have something dealing with the fact that... Uhh... Never mind." Megan stopped herself before she informed Rayanne that the digivice she was holding use to belong to the kid she was fighting against. Probably isn't the best thing in the world to worry her anymore then they already have.
"Anyways. I wouldn't worry to much. Electic types have advantage against flying types. Though then again I'm trying to put pokemon logic in a real world fight between digimon, which isn't exactly the best idea. And I should really stop talking now." Well that was stupid piece of logic she just pulled out of nowhere. Could she have made herself look anymore ridiculous. Actually, she probably could, so perhaps that wasn't the best question. Maybe Kami could help her out.
Megan looked over where Kami was at to see the turtle digimon on his knees. "Kami..." She said as she crouched down next to him to see what's the problem, "Kami? Are you okay?" she signed for her partner.
"It's no fair. Why do they both look cooler then me?" He responded as he watch the fight happening from above them. Megan didn't exactly knew how to really respond to that. She could tell him that he was wrong, but he'll just claim that she's just saying that. Well it's better then doing nothing.
"Come on Kami. Do you really think they have anything compare to you in your Armor form? What could possibly be cooler then a mechanical bird?"
"A fire one or an electrical one."
"Really? Stop acting like a child. This is really unlike you. Who care if you think they look cooler then you, your still the best."
"Your not really good at this pep thing now are you?" Kami teased.
"Shut up. At least I'm trying." They both then chuckled a little before returning their attention to the fight.

Rayanne chuckled. "Well you probably wouldn't be the first to try to apply Pokemon logic to Digimon," she pointed out. Finally deciding what to do, Birdramon swooped down. "Phoenix Rising!" He charged at Luke from below while cloaked in flames. "Boy, you're slow," Luke said as as he effortlessly swerved out of the way of Birdramon's attack. What he didn't notice was Birdramon shining as he reverted to Elecmon. "Luke, look out!" Rayanne warned. Too late, Elecmon was already Digivolving back to Aegiomon. "Stun Beat Blow!" Aegiomon struck Luke in mid air with a series of electrified punches and kicks. He then used the last strike to rebound off the now falling Thunder Birdmon.
As Luke fell, Rayanne saw electricity occasionally arc around his body. Her eyes widened in realization. "He's paralyzed! If Aegiomon uses Iron Thrust from that height..." her voice trailed off as she rather not wanted to think about the outcome. "Iron Thrust!" Aegiomon aimed an aerial downward kick at Luke as he fell to the ground. The force of the attack could possibly delete Luke if Aegiomon managed to reach terminal velocity. Now it was up to Kami. If he didn't do something to stop the attack, then Kurama would.

Megan and Kami were a little shocked by the change of events. It seems that James and his partner had more tricks up their sleeves then they had first expected. Not only did they manage to paralyze using a set of tricky digivolutions, but he now is about to preform the finishing move. If they don't do anything, then that could spell the end for Luke.
For that very reason Kami rushed right straight into action. "Met Tackle" He called out in an off tune voice as he rushed on his stomach, building as much speed as he could. "Pointer Arrow" He said as he followed up by firing a arrow-shaped missile and then sending it right below him. Right before it exploded, he jumped as high as he could, using the explosion to help turn his forward momentum to vertical momentum. It was an unconventional use of his missile and it did hurt a bit, but in the end, it allowed him to reach right where he needed to be. "Cora Guard" He then called out just in time as he retreated his body into his shell, pushing Luke away as he intercepted the attack just in time.
"Kami!!!" Megan called out as she watched Aegiomon Iron Thrust Kami towards the ground, kicking up a thick screen of dirt, blocking everyone's sight to the battle. Why did he run in like that before allowing me to help him digivolve? She wonder as she waited for the plum of dirt to disappear. Yet in the back of her mind, she knew fully well why. Digivolving has never been the most reliable thing for them, and they didn't have the luxury of time to wait to see if it would this time. If he didn't jump in right when he did, then there was no certainty if they could of save Luke. But still, was it worth risking his own life to do that.
A sigh of relief escaped Megan's mouth as the kicked up dust and dirt disappeared to reveal Kami facing his opponent in a small crater. It was obvious that Kami was hurt from how he clutched his stomach and his breathing was hitched. If not for his Cora Guard move, he probably would have died in Luke's place. At very least Luke wasn't hit by the attack and should have easily survive that fall.
"You idiot..." Megan cursed under her breath as she notice that Kami was ready to fight Aegiomon himself. She clutched the digivice in her pocket as she began to focus on her power. They were already a part of this fight now, there was no denying that. Yet was it time for them to officially tag in, or should they leave the rest of the fight to Luke?
Cora Guard: For one post, he retreats his whole body into his shell and protects himself from one attack that then ricochets off his shell. This will provide complete protection from one Rookie, In-Training, & Fresh level attack, or reduce the damage dealt by a Champion level attack by 50%, and has little to no effect when used against a Ultimate, Mega, Super Mega attack. 2 Post Cooldown

Luke slowly opened one eye in time to watch Kami take the blow for him. "Th-Thanks..." Luke managed to utter under his paralysis. Aegiomon frowned when the Kamemon interfered as he landed on his feet. "I'll admit, James has a few tricks up his sleeve, but that doesn't mean we'll lose," Rayanne stated. Then Aegiomon did something she expected even less than his paralyzing attack. He took his pipes off his waist. Knowing full well what he was about to do, Kurama closed off the portal by closing the wardrobe. He would open it back up later when he thought it was safe. Aegiomon then began to play music from the pipes, which echoed throughout the area.
Rayanne and Luke soon found themselves lost in the music it produced. However, Aegiomon expected Kami to be able to hear it. Poor, unsuspecting Aegiomon. Oh well, it was a good attempt at distracting them. All Kami needed to do was interrupt him to get him to stop.
Stun Beat Blow paralyzed Luke for two posts, so it'll wear off next post.
Attract Echo: Attracts the attention of all who hear it. Aegiomon snatches away the sense of self of those who continue to listen to its sound, and blinds them to everything but its figure. He can play this for up to 3 posts with a 5 post cool down.

Kami looked at Rayanne as he pulled out his pipes and began to play it. What exactly was Aegiomon trying to do? He looked over at the others to see them completely enticed by Aegiomon. Even Megan appeared to be falling for the sirens call. That was not cool. Not cool at all.
"Pointer Arrow." He called out as he fired another shaped missile. This time aiming it towards the Aegiomon's pipes. Surely he could stop this enthrallment if he could destroy the pipes or remove them from his possession. Oh it's times like these that Kami was glad he was deaf.

Aegiomon was taken aback when Kami fired a missile at him. He stopped playing and braced himself, the missile's explosion leaving burns on his arms. As a result, Rayanne and Luke snapped out of it. ...I get it now, Kami's deaf. Talk about lucky, Rayanne thought. ...Well I'd call it lucky in this situation, so... Anyway! Luke flexed one of his talons. He could feel the paralysis wearing off. Aegiomon frowned. He wouldn't be able to keep playing with Kami attacking him. "You know, there's a reason why we won't lose, James," Rayanne pointed out. Luke began to slowly push himself off the ground as he tried to stand.
"The responsibilities we carry are different, which is why we can't afford to lose," Rayanne stated. "Especially not to a shade like you," Luke agreed. He then began flapping his wings as he slowly got off the ground. Knowing better, Aegiomon reverted to Elecmon as Luke took to the air once more. He then Armor Digivolved to Birdramon and followed Luke. "This dance again? I hope you know the same trick won't work twice," Luke said as he glanced behind him and at Birdramon. He flew in circles and loops, randomly switching directions every so often with Birdramon flying behind him.

With his role in this battle seeming to be over, Kami began to return back to Megan's side. He kind of felt a little off about his involvement in this battle. This was meant to be Luke's test after all, and all Kami did was interrupt the battle twice. Once to save Luke's life, the second time to stop him from using his stupid pipes on Megan. It felt very cheaty in hindsight. Was cheaty even a word?
Megan shook her head as she returned to her senses. She couldn't believe how easy it was for her to be drawn into Aegiomon's music. At least it was over now, and she was sure it helped build Kami's self-esteem a bit. Though she wondered if their role in this battle is over just yet. Especially when there's another dog... err... Bird fight happening above them.
"At least Luke looks like he knows what he's doing right now."

"Yeah, he seems to be up to something," Rayanne agreed. In truth, Luke was testing Birdramon's flight capabilities. He wasn't even trying. ...Or at least, not yet. Deciding he tested Birdramon enough, Luke decided to put his plan into action. "Spark Trail!" A bolt of electricity arced around his body. "Let's see you keep up with me now," he stated before picking up speed. Flying at full speed, he would be hard to keep up with already, but now he was a blur, and his erratic flight pattern forced Birdramon to stand still due to being unable to keep up with him and unable to predict his flight path. "And now for a taste of your own medicine," Luke told him.
Birdramon's eyes widened in alarm, but Luke was above him before he could react. "Thunderstorm!" With a flap of his wings, Luke generated a storm cloud which shot lightning at Birdramon. The attack was too fast for Birdramon to avoid and he was struck. Electricity arced around his body as he fell. "Well this is going to hurt," Rayanne stated. However, Luke wasn't about to let him off that easy. Why drag the battle any further when he could finish it?

"I have to admit. I didn't expect him to be doing so well after what just happened. I wonder if perhaps the damage Kami did to Birdramon when he was playing his pipes is having an effect on the battle." Megan then shook her head, "Nah. He shouldn't have done such damage to Birdramon, so why is he lagging behind now?"
Kami just stood back and watched the fight occur above them. It seemed Luke can handle everything from her. However, Kami wonder how Luke would decide to end this battle. Would he simply defeat the Birdramon, or would he go so far as to delete the Bird digimon? Sure, the Bridramon nearly did the same thing to him, but will Luke follow choose to follow by his example.

Why was he lagging behind now? Could Megan seriously not seeing how fast Luke was flying now? "I think Luke's Thunder Birdmon form is just faster than Birdramon," Rayanne stated. Luke dived down, passing the paralyzed and falling Birdramon, electricity beginning to cover his body as he did so. When he neared the ground, he did a u-turn and flew straight toward Birdarmon. "Altair Strike!" He rammed Birdramon while cloaked in electricity. Birdramon soon fell to the ground. Birdramon then began to disintegrate into data. James smiled and gave them a nod of approval as he too began disintegrating in the same manner.
Luke then reverted to his Lucemon form and flew down to Rayanne. "That was a little close for comfort," Luke stated. "I'll admit, I was worried there for a moment until Kami came rushing in," Rayanne agreed. "That reminds me..." Luke floated over to Kami and examined his injury. "...It'll take some time, but I should be able to heal that up for you. It's the least I can do for saving me," Luke stated. Rayanne turned around as she heard the sounds of doors opening behind her. "Ah good, so you've completed your training?" Kurama asked. "Yeah, it was a little extreme," Rayanne replied. "Right, I'll have to take it down a notch for the next person then," Kurama noted.

Well the battle ended much quicker then either Megan or Kami had thought. It seemed like what Megan said about Luke having a type advantage might have been true after all. For with just one hit from the electric bird digimon, the Birdramon was defeated. It was a somber sight to see both the digimon and tamer to disintegrate into data, but seeing how they were both already dead, it couldn't be helped. They probably shouldn't have been here normally in the first place.
While Kami was taking a moment of silence for the fallen tamer pair, he took notice of the Lucemon floating towards him. He wasn't able to understand what the Lucemon tried to say to him. So the Kamemon cocked his head slightly with a look of confusion on his face before turning towards Megan.
"He offered to heal you." She interpreted for him so he had an idea what Lucemon just said. However, as he turned his head, he pridefully shook his head no. It was his fault that he got as badly injured as he did. He didn't see the need for Luke to heal him. Though now that he got a second to check himself out, it seemed that Aegiomon's attack managed to leave a crack on.
Meanwhile, Megan crossed her arms as she listened to Kuruma and Rayanne speak, trying to figure out what to do. "That's if there is a next time." She warned the digimon clerk with a sigh, "While I understand what you believe what your doing is good, I still have to report this all to DATS. Giving digivices away to people like you do isn't something we can just overlook. It can cause a lot of problems if it isn't done carefully."

Luke shrugged. "Suit yourself," he replied. "Yes, that's what the last DATS agent said, which is why I have those that receive the other Digivice models sign wavers," Kurama stated. "Uh... What's DATS exactly?" Rayanne asked as she stepped through the portal. "The Digital Accident Tactics Squad, if I recall correctly. If there's anyone I'd trust in tracking down your children, it's them," Kurama replied. The hologram hiding Kurama's form flickered and faded. "If there was ever any trouble, I'm sure I could handle it," the Doumon (Silver Taomon) spoke. "So you were a Digimon this whole time?" Rayanne asked. "Yes, and I go by Kurama by the way," Kurama replied.
"I should've known." Rayanne looked at glanced at Luke. "Do you mind if I leave Luke here for a second?" she asked. "Go ahead. I'll keep an eye on him while you're gone," Kurama replied. "Alright, I'll be right back," Rayanne told him. She walked out of the back room and the store. "Where do you think she's going?" Luke asked. "Probably to buy you a disguise," Kurama answered. "With those wings of yours, you stick out like a sore thumb, even if you can get away with people thinking you're just a cosplayer," he pointed out.

Megan was taken back by Kurama's comment. "Last... DATS... agent..." She quoted dumbstruck. Other DATS agents had investigated this place before. Why didn't DATS tell her about this at all? A simple notice would do.
Wait a second...
Megan pulled out her D-terminal and open to notice that she had a message from ARROW. Reading it, it seemed to have basically supported what Kuruma had just said. This place has already been investigated by DATS and was given the okay. Well now she feels like a complete idiot. She guess it's what she gets for leaving her D-terminal on silent.
She stepped through the portal with a sigh, slightly downtrodden about the stupid mistake this new development had reveal. Kami exiting soon after her. Once they both left the Wardrobe, Megan listened as Kurama and Rayanne spoke, interpreting what they are saying for Kami. It seemed Karuma believed that DATS would be able to help in tracking Rayanne's missing children, but Megan wasn't so sure. DATS dealt mostly in Digimon matters in the human world, not the other way around. In fact, DATS has next to no authority in the digital world. So chances are they will not be able to do much to help her in her search for her children.
Once Rayanne had left the store to get a disguise for Luke, Megan sighed as she glanced over at Karuma. "You should know that we don't have any authority in the Digital World. So I doubt we'll be able to do much in help her in finding her kids." Megan stated, "I mean, I'm sure we'll help her the best of our ability, but I'm pretty sure your overselling how much we'll actually be able to give her. It also doesn't help that we are also currently pretty under staffed at the moment." Megan hated to be the bearer of bad news, but it was true all the same.

"That doesn't mean you don't have good hearts," Kurama pointed out. "And that's just what you're counting on, isn't it?" Luke asked. Kurama nodded. "I'm sure that Rayanne must have a few pictures on her phone of her son and daughter that she can send to DATS. If not, she'll at least provide an accurate description to get some help," he explained. Noticing an object lying on the floor, Luke picked it up and examined it.
"Looks like Rayanne dropped her phone," Kurama stated as Luke began messing with. Luke continued to mess with the cellphone until he found her pictures. Scrolling through them, Luke found some pictures of his Puttimon form from when he was messing with it earlier from inside Rayanne's bag.
((Pretty much a filler post since it doesn't seem feasible for Rayanne to be back too quickly.))
