"I hope not." Shi said with a sigh, while this seemed all fun to some people, a partner, super powers this was real. And no matter how many times people told him that the things He, that everyone in the digital world do are impressive that didn't take away the fact that they could easily die. It also didn't take away the fact that at any time digimon could just come over and attack, which is what that DATS organization tried to prevent. But as Shi had seen once or twice failed.
"Places well." Shi closed his eyes recalling places he's heard about. "Theres an area to the north, it's a winter all the time. I've never been but I heard it's dangerous. Next to the west is a desert like area, complete opposite of the first. To the east there's a bunch of hills and a forest, around here is the. Village of beginning." Shi closed his eyes thinking for a bit.
"You obviously know about the digital core right? The area Terminus is located. Next is a place called the dark area, we haven't heard much but it doesn't sound like a nice place." Yuudai chimed it explaining some parts. Yasuo decided to finish it. "Finally there's a ocean called the Macro ocean I think. We haven't been around that area much. There's also a island in the sky but you have to either find someone to fly you up there or fly yourself." Yasuo said. They were missing a few areas but it had been a while.
"That's about every area I can think of, we know most about he core and the area to the east. We've been to the island in the sky once but didn't stay long." Shi added, hopefully they caught on to what he meant. That if they wanted questions they'd only be able to ask about those areas.

"I hope not too. It has been kind of tiring." It was the understatement of the century, but it was fairly clear that Elliot didn't want to make any waves. Truth be told, being jumped in the middle of the human world was a major shock to him. He wanted to help people, and whenever the chance arose he would do his best to accomplish that, but at night he found himself wishing he could just be a normal kid again. All of this digital destiny stuff was too much to take in.
Now, these nice, ordinary region descriptions. That was a lot less stress to take into their system! Isaac nodded appreciatively as Shi informed them of the Digital World's many regions. It seemed surprisingly similar to Earth, at least until the flying islands and ominously-named Dark Area were brought up. For some reason the lattermost especially didn't sit well with Isaac, but who would find themselves excited about a place called the Dark Area? Isaac simply decided to mark it as a metaphorical no-fly zone, not wanting to every trouble himself with such an unpleasant place. "That was helpful of you. Thank you very much," Isaac said, smiling appreciatively. "If we were going to check up on the Digital World again, where should we go?"

Shi had to agree, this was tiring but still someone had to do it and that DATS wasn't going to it seemed, though maybe he should join and change that, eh thoughts for later. "Places to go well, I'd recommend the southern tropics, it's located to the south and there is a town like Terminus there. It's also a beach like place so It'd be like going to the beach." Shi said and Yasuo had another idea. "You could also go to the island in the sky, there won't be anything bad up there, the Island has some sort of light that repels people with bad intentions, at least that's what I was told." Yasuo explained but that needed one thing, a way to get up there.
"If you need a lift we could take you up there ,at least two of our forms can fly and one of them we can easily maintain now." Yuudai said offering a ride, when did he become the leader that was Shi's job to offer anything. "But yeah those two seem the safest, though the village of beginnings is interesting, a lot of baby digimon there, It'd be worth visiting once. Just make sure you know your way back to Terminus, it's in a forest after all." Shi added.

A beach vacation and a holy island? Those places sounded way cooler than just being stuck in the endless fields! Elliot couldn't decide which one he wanted to check out more, although it sounded like the beach would be far easier to reach. He made a mental note to keep the Southern Tropics in mind, hoping to bug Isaac about visiting them sometime in the near future. It'd be a nice change of pace in what was shaping up to be a surprisingly stressful vacation.
Then one of Shi's Digimon offered them a ride. Wow, they really didn't need to do that! These were really nice people that Elliot happened to chance into meeting. It seemed like when kindness went around, it came back around. Moments like these were part of what convinced Elliot that this whole Digimon thing might not have been all that bad. It represented solidarity with others, a way of making new friends, and a world full of exciting, albeit very dangerous, places.
"That is so kind of you to offer! If we go there, how should we find you?" After all, the group never did exchange contact information. Would it be weird for a pair of kids to ask for that? Surely it wouldn't be too out of the ordinary, right? They exchanged info with Maia, and she wasn't much younger than Shi. Possibly.
"Is the Village of Beginnings safe too? Seems like it should be, if it is mostly full of babies," Isaac asked, noticing its omission from the category of "two safest places in the Digital World."

"Just use Shi's phone thing, here's the number" Yuudai said giving out Shis contact info, which was on a piece of paper in his pack strangely enough, to people he just met right now this day. "I'd object but that might be for the best, if you're even in a situation you don't think you can handle just give me a call, or if you need help getting around flying is always the way to go." Shi said offering a ride and protection, it was mostly because he didn't want anyone getting lost or hurt because of how interesting the digital world is.
"Last time I was there the village had a spider problem, that was when I met Maia. A Ultimate Digimon had attacked her and another named Gallatin I think. So safest might not be the best answer I cannot say for sure if it's a common occurrence or not." Shi answered, it was true he had only been there once so he didn't know if that always happened.

"Oh! Thank you!" Elliot promptly wrote down his and Isaac's numbers and slid them over to Shi. Usually the two were pretty close-knit, and when one was contacted the other was right nearby. However, the cases when they were separated would likely be among the biggest emergency moments, so being able to reach the two separately would be especially important. "Here is ours. Thank you very much again for the help."
An Ultimate Digimon? When Maia first texted him about the situation she sounded so bored and disinterested that he figured it wouldn't be a problem. Her updates after were a bit more frantic, and that explained why completely. He wished he could've been there to help, but against an Ultimate? At his current level of strength, he would've been beyond useless. The fact disconcerted him slightly, but only made him all the more grateful that Shi showed up. And here he thought him and Elliot hunting down a Champion-level ghost was overly dangerous. "Well, I'll be sure to keep an eye out," he said in response to Shi's comment, a bit more perturbed by the Arukenimon now than he was before. What could you even do when an overwhelmingly stronger foe just decided to bio-emerge like that?

"No need for thanks, I'd be happy to help." Shi said but he took the numbers anyway, might as well have some way to contact others plus he really needed to fill his phone up some more so he looked like he was actually making friends, that was also a thing. "Yeah no sweat, we're always happy to be the heroes." Yuudai said with another big toothy grin, he was always happy helping someone no matter how much it caused him a bit of pain, it was worth it in the end to protect someone, even if they weren't dear to him.
Shi couldn't help but wonder what Issac meant by that, by keeping a eye out did he mean for Ultimate's or just for digital threats in general? Both were something that needed to be watched if only a bit. "Sorry to wrap this a bit short but I have to get home." Shi said wondering how long its been and checked his phone, he wasn't late but he did tend to drag his heels when going home so best get to that now. "Again sorry, goodbye." Shi said waiting just long enough to hear whatever they said then exiting taking his pack with the Koromon with him.

"Bye!" Elliot had a feeling Shi was the type to mysteriously disappear as quickly as he came. Still, today he had made a bunch of new friends and now had a contact to help keep them safe. For a chance encounter, it was a really good turn of events. Unfortunately, in all the time he was distracted talking for, his coffee had practically become ice cold. The boy let out a small, sad noise as he looked at the cup. Black coffee was so disgusting frozen over!
"You're gonna have to step it up if you want to be her hero, aren't you?" Elliot asked. Isaac found himself flushing slightly at the question.
"What's that supposed to mean?" he asked, Elliot grinning a little at the successful taunt.
"Well, now we know there's a lot bigger and scarier thank Tankmon. And we couldn't do much against him in our current forms. How are we supposed to stand a chance against something bigger? Tomomi said there were spirits we had to unlock, right?"
"You're thinking we gotta find them." Elliot nodded in affirmation. It was strange. Maia made it sound like Digivolution was more a mental or emotional thing. You had to unlock the power inside, get past your limits, and become far stronger than ever before. Then again, she wasn't a spirit user. They had found quite physical objects in the crater at the Network Plains, which seemed to resonate with their Digivices. Was that what they were, and how they unlocked the power of their current forms?
Slowly, Isaac rose from his seat. It was time to head to the Digital World and get some investigation done.
