This is a story of a boy, or at least of one boy, and several other individuals, all entangled in a mess caused by such an individual existing. His side in the global scale was undecided, or should I say interdenominational as well. This is a story of digimon, so more than one plain has to be at the odds, and so it is. Though the question would be, would the feminine featured boy be the cause of the turmoil or the savior to fix the issue? Would the companions he will meet bring the same fortune as himself? Or would they walk different paths? These questions will only be answered by following the thread of fate, time and luck. Let us now watch and decide.
Someone who looked kind of like a mechanic and a student walked along the lines of a sidewalk, humming a theme that no one seemed to be able to recognize off hand, but that was fine, he knew where he was going. He needed to hop a train, that way he could go find his lovely imouto-chan, his cute little sister, his loving family member that he knew existed, even if everyone told him she did not. This was Mitsuru Kakumei, a military robotics student with a strange twist, and his smile said it all. His eyes mostly seemingly closed, his face twisted in a smile, he was obviously not right in the head, or maybe he was. It was hard for most people to tell.
The email he had gotten still rang true on his phone. He needed to find the train he needed, but it said nothing more. Just that he would have to hop a train, and that the train would take him to his destiny. He would know the train by look apparently, but that was all it said. He did not have a time limit, which he thought was odd, but considering that a technologically advanced company sent this, he figured they had control of a few trains, or many trains that would go. He just needed to get on the one that was different. Either way, he had to ride it to the end of the line, and that there would be little in the way of other passengers, apparently.
"My lovely little sister, I hope you wait for me." he would say, as his smile seemed to have brighten some. He would turn down the stairs to the terminal, and there, he would wait. This terminal at this time of day had many people, but that was not to be worried over. Still, he would bring out his phone and look at the train he was supposed to take, it did not say which one, just the one that seemed different. So he would stand up, and look to see if he could not find the one that was different, unaware a fellow technological enthusiast would be near, if not already.

Stories are a part of life, the more complex the plot , the more interesting it is. Though one can also say a life is one big story, complicated yet simple, full of twists and turns, but also straights. It all depends on the individual and what decisions they make. There is one story unfolding in the present time, one that has no real direction, nor is it one that tells of riches and glorious feats. It is a story of a man who lives his life pursuing what interests him. What this kind of future will bring, or where his path takes him, well that is only to be seen.
This man was someone who would be both noticed and ignored, it all depended on the eye of the beholder. He was someone not native to the land, one that was different from those you see usually. Not only due to his stature, but also how he carried himself. Despite his smiling face, he had an aura around him that would make people less likely to approach him. Was it just imagination or was he consciously like that? No one knew.
Those used to him as well as those that worked with him knew how he was, at least partially. The man was an archaeologist as well as a robotics scientist. He was liked yet at the same time avoided due to some of his personality quirks. One could respect his work but be unable to get along with him. It might be due to how he could stay for weeks in solitude in a dig somewhere, only to come back with schematics for new devices and gadgets after he was done.
Denizen, as that was the man’s name, was currently on route to a destination that would influence him greatly. That being a simple train station. He needed to catch a train to another dig site, one that he hoped would get him answers to some of the strange symbols he has found in many of the ones he excavated before. To him it was a riddle he needed to solve, his curiosity was driving him towards it. On the other hand it gave him many new ideas for new devices, so it was beneficial in that regard too.
“I need to figure this out.” He muttered, a slight smile on his face. Though if one would look at him, his whole expression was rather dark, as if driven by something out of this world, or maybe possessed by an evil spirit. His gait was fast and despite his size he made quick progress through the crowded streets of Tokyo. He learned to love the city and the people, despite feeling out of place as well as not entirely accepted.
Once he arrived at the station though, he passed someone that made him look back. It was a boy, but something about him was different, similar even. “Intriguing.” He muttered, yet not having time to think about it much, Denizen proceeded to where the train he was supposed to board should be. To him though all of them looked the same, almost the same. One was subtly different, yet to him it seemed familiar, scarily so.
“Why… why are they on that train…?” He stood in front of a train, one that had many of strange symbols drawn on its sides. The patterns were something he knew all too well… after all he saw them many times on past digs. Not waiting long, he decided to board it anyway, as for some reason it was the train he had a ticket for.

The boy had finally figured it out, it was the strange train with symbols and what looked like eyes. He checked the ticket he had, and it seemingly matched. With out waiting, he would hurry onto that train. In doing so, he would likely knock over the man who stood in front of him, one of the other passengers for this train it seemed. He was not certain over all if this was a normal train or not, but there seemed to be a low amount of traffic for it. He did not mind nor care. This was the beginning of fate, be it for conquest, birthright or maybe some revelation unseen.
It would be only after falling onto the floor of the train, that he would notice the other person on the train properly. "Hakase?" he would ask, slightly intrigued that someone whose works he had read about was there. "What exactly are you doing here?" he would ask, his face still brocked up, and smiling like Jin. It was rather odd but no one would really be able to question the way this youth was looking with out pulling into question of why they were there.
Still the fact was, the youth was confused. "Are you also going towards your destiny, Vhid-Hakase?" he would ask, the amazement in his smile showing instead of through his eyes. "Who knew." would be muttered under his breath. Still, the train had not started yet, it would not likely start for a few moments now that he thought about it, as it had seemingly gotten there a few moments ago. He did notice that there was a lack of people looking over it from the terminal it seemed. He just guessed that many were busy.
Still, he wondered just what kind of fate this was. Conquest he decided, it could not really be birthright, and revelations would make too much sense. Still, he did not know where this track went either, as it would go into shadows as far as everyone could see. That being said, he also knew that this was just the start of the adventure, if everything made sense from this point then there would be no fun. He would ignore that the writer of this post was being a bit of a jerk by drawing this out.
Instead, he would right himself and prepare to sit down, his backpack being slide from his back to his lap, so as not to be squished. Tools and mechanical devices really did need to be taken care of.

Denizen got onto the train, finding a free place to sit was rather easy, the train was surprisingly empty, no staff nor other passengers. This was a bit bizarre, but the whole situation was as well. It was strange that symbols from an ancient civilization would appear on a train, better yet, no one seemed to mind them or make any indication that it was out of place. Still deep down he was glad, it meant less people he had to deal with. Not to mention the possibility of getting a clue on solving the mysteries concerning those symbols.
Closing his eyes for a moment he pondered about how his life revolved about that what he cared about. It was a good life, he hoped it would continue as it has, though sometimes he wished to explore places that were different, unique… or straight out of some of the books he wrote. Still his mind had another issue he had to solve, one that would help many people. It was a difficulty that one of his projects faced, but mostly dealt with interfacing machine and human together…
What got him out of his daydream was a boy calling out to him. “Hakase, huh?” have not been called that yet….” He thought. Still he saw this boy earlier in the station, it seemed that it was the one that caught his attention before. Even now Denizen had no idea what he would get into by travelling with this boy, but the feeling of familiarity towards him was what caused Denizen’s senses to dull.
The man figured that the boy was somehow similar to himself, was it the way he was behaving or how he carried himself, maybe there was something else, he would know in the future possibly. After the boy spoke, Denizen looked into his eyes. “ Destiny? Hmm… maybe that is indeed so.” He would have a pure smile on his face, one showing his desire and curiosity. ”I take it, it is the same for you then?” He asked and beckoned the boy to sit opposite from him.
If their destination was the same, then maybe it would be a more interesting trip than he thought. Still Denizen could all but wonder, what was the reason for this boy being there, not to mention the fixation on destiny. He could not put a finger on it but for some reason he felt that if he took the boy with him, or followed the boy, it was not clear which, there would not be a dull moment. Denizen felt he might lose something, but gain much more in return.
After waiting for the boy to sit, he’d take out his sketchbook and start drawing a diagram for the mechanical arm which he had envisioned. At the same time he would try talking to the boy, despite the author of this post trying to make this as awkward as possible. “Well you know me, but I don’t know you… Feel free to call me Denizen if you so wish. Never was one for formalities.” He lightly chuckled and continued drawing, making detailed notes about the connections between the artificial bones, muscles and nerves on his project.

The boy would smile at that. "Yes, quite certainly I am. I was invited to do so." he would state with a bright smile, one not filled with malice, now if only he would open his eyes. "Oh, sorry about that Denizen-Hakase, my name is Kakumei, Mitsuru, I guess you would probably want to use my given name, Mitsuru instead of anything else like that." he would state, almost question like if not for the obvious period at the end of the statement. This was just something he had to say for himself, but he really did not know how the professor thought. His works were rather direct and analytical, but not really anything more than that.
He would not look at the professors work, as that would be rude, but he was quite curious. Instead he would pull out his laptop and load up some coding programs to practice with. He wanted to be ready in case he had to show off or work on programming a robot, though he also had some light weaponry and vehicle based schematics on his laptop in some folders hidden with in the hard drive. He just started practicing the basic hacking methods for the different robotic operating systems he had came across. It was a simple exercise, and one that gave him lots of time to think about his thoughts, but he chose not to.
"So, I think this train might be being ignored by the other people on the terminal, any thoughts on that?" he would ask, as he would type away idly. It was a simple question, but a question none the less. "I wonder why, with all the marks, and the way the lights in the front look like eyes." He would add, curious about the responses, though wondering what else could be talked about. He had thought about talking to one of the professors that he had studied, but now that he was in front of one, he could not think of the right questions, it probably had to deal with the fact that none of his work was present and visible, so he had no chance to ask with a subject to focus on.
He would then allow the professor to think on it, while he also sat there. He thought about what his cute little sister might try asking as he waited on answers. He wanted to wait for now, otherwise he would have started asking questions right there. It was not time to though, it was time to listen, at least he thought so. So, what was going to be asked when things were done? Was there anyone else brave enough to join them on this train? He did not know.

The man would stop working for a while to consider the boy’s words. Many questions popped up in Denizen’s mind and it seemed that the boy had some ideas or maybe leads that could shine some light on what was going on. Though the way he was speaking and what his words were did give some insight on how the boy’s mind worked. “Mitsuru-San, was it? If you were willing I would like you to answer some questions.” He smiled gently as he put his sketchbook away and pulled out his notebook.
“What I will show you is something you might have seen already, but first I would like to know who called you here? I came onto this train due to my research, but you said you were invited, right?” He’d pause and show him the many different symbols that were written there, many similar to the one’s on the train but there was a myriad of others as well. Denizen wondered if Mitsuru would be able to see something he has missed.
There was another thing that was bothering the researcher. The exact same question that the boy asked. “Yes, why, why do they not see this train.” He thought a bit, but what conclusions he came to only made his thoughts darken. “You know, maybe it is not they ignore it, but it is being somehow not registering. I mean, maybe, just maybe they know it is there but their consciousness doesn’t register it… But that would mean… either technology or magic…”
Denizen continued to speak his thoughts out, but they were barely a murmur by then. What he thought of was not possible with technology… maybe the ancient ruins… “What if… this is something that uses ancient overtechnology? Something that is not from this world, that we cannot reproduce with what we know… you mentioned that this train had eyes right…?” The man paused and looked around. The interior was like that of a normal train, but it still felt off.
“I might seem crazy but…” He looked around and faced the front of the train. “Are you alive? Or am I just being crazy in calling out to a train?” This made just so much sense that it made no sense, he’d wait but soon he would speak to Mitsuru while looking at his face. “Sorry, seems I am just going crazy from stress.” He sighed and sat back down, feeling slightly embarrassed.

Mitsuru had a strange smile on his face, as he looked at the professor and more so, watched him ask strange questions of the train. "Technological company Zony, some digital branch actually. I do not understand it much myself." he would admit. He had no idea how to interpret it, but he was definitely amused by it. "Yes, this train has eyes, as odd as it may seem, but the fact is, those people do not even seem to understand there is a train here, yet here we are, sitting on it."
This was just a simple situation where even Mitsuru was beginning to think he was crazy, and not like the crazy the doctors thought of him when he talked about how lovely his imouto-chan was. This was a real craziness, and for some reason taht did not bother him. Still, he knew what he saw and felt was real. He could feel the seats, and the wall. He could sit there, and knew that there was tracks beneath the train. He knew this stuff.
He had listened to the professors thoughts, and realized it all seemed like potential things. "I do not know what kind of technology this train is, but I wonder if people are just mistaking it for their own imagination?" he would suggest, as he would continue typing away at his laptop. He was focusing on that, but also thinking about other things. "I do not think you are crazy, unless I have gone so as well, and that is not likely, since scientifically we can prove we are sitting on this train." he would add.
Still, that just brought them to further questions, also the train would likely be leaving soon, why did not one else join in? He did not know, nor did that matter, he knew that the train stated it would be a decently long journey, so he would be prepared for the long run, but he really did question why it seemed like this train was so empty, not even staff...

Denizen would just sit down and stretch. “Well, that was counterproductive.” Afterwards he’d look through his materials to see if he could match any of the symbols on the train. He found some, but most of them were new or just similar. The man just looked at the ceiling, having no idea what would happen next. Not that he really needed to know, wherever it would go, he was most likely prepared for it.
Mitsuru’s comments made him pause a bit. ”Crazy, huh? Well looking at some of my ideas people might be inclined to claim I was.” He had a smile on his face, one that could mean any emotion yet nothing at the same time. “As for othe people thinking it might be their imagination, well you do have a point. But at the same time at last one or two of them would normally affirm if it was real or not.” He looked outside and continued. “However during this whole time none of them even looked in this direction, not to mention came close to check. If you observe it carefully you will notice that they have not even made a step towards it, like an invisible wall or force field was in place.” This was not baseless assumption as Denizen observed what was going on outside the train most of the time he was inside.
”Well that is not important now, is it?” He leaned back. ”After all, we should enjoy the ride, after all, it seems at least it will be interesting.” Denizen’s expression would change for only a short half a second, but it would be one of a hunter, his eyes sharp, yet calm, while his slightly upcurled lips would be similar to those of a wild animal stalking his prey. Though right after it would turn back to the usual halfsmile and calm expression he had.
”Didn’t think a company would sent out an invitation though. For all we know it might be just a stunt and we are on candid camera.” His words were one thing, but his tone of voice, as well as the way he behaved, implied he himself thought it was the least possible thing at the moment. Denizen believed that no matter where they would go it would bring a lot of insight, not to mention he had a feeling it would be fun. He just hoped they would not end up in space or something.

As the contemplation continued, he realized something, there was a voice in the background, and it mirrored the notification on the little screens that seemed to be up in each train. [Train leaving the station, next stop Digital world Terminal, please stand behind the white line for your own safety.] It kept repeating as the train suddenly started its movement. Mitsuru was confused. What was digital world? An amusement park? This was odd to him, but he realized there was more to do.
"I am confused, is that place new?" he would ask, his youth showing through in his vocal confusion, though his eyes remained in its mostly closed state, and his smile remained as normal. Either way the train pulled out of the terminal, and suddenly everything went dark as far as the outside was concerned. He was really concerned now, why was this train suddenly dark. He looked at the notification screen overhead, and noticed it said that the trip would take at least three hours. What was three hours away from Shibuya? He did not know off hand. Even more so, he did not know one that would take him through underground tunnels so dark like this.
He looked over at the Professor, now putting his laptop away while he sat down. "Looks like we are stuck here regardless now." he would add, as he calmed his mind, and then smiled brightly. "I hope this Digital World place is fun, and maybe enlightening, since it looks like we are going there now, who knows, maybe answers will be awaiting us." he would say, shrugging lightly. This was an unusual situation, but hey, it could not be helped.
He would lean back, with his backpack on the seat next to him. It was definitely not normal for there to be a lack of people like this. He did not see passengers other than himself, and the professor, nor did he see any of the staff. This really did make him question what was going happen. "Would be funny if we got on the wrong train." he would remark offhandedly. Still, the train had to have someone driving it, otherwise that voice would not have run through, would it? Maybe they could get up and check out the train car, or maybe they should remain seated. He would figure this out over the course of their long journey. Either way, he knew that things were going on that would hopefully lead him to his fate, his destiny, and his goals.

Having closed his eyes, Denizen did not notice the messages before, but now as he was concentrating and slowly relaxing, his mind was now perceiving more information. He heard the voice as well. Still, the Digital World did not sound like something he knew about. It sounded like a theme park, but that could not be it, he would have heard about it then. After having opened his eyes he checked just how long the trip would take. But as he did, he had more questions than answers, just what was three hours away…?
Though it seemed he was not the only one confused right now. Mitsuru made it obvious that he had similar issues as well. Despite what was happening, Denizen was calm. For some reason he felt that it was meant to be and that he would figure out at least some hints if not true answers to the questions he had. Though he was worried a bit as well. After all, Mitsuru was called there by a company, this was not coincidence and maybe there was something going on in the background that no one noticed yet.
Denizen sighed, he had a lead but at the same time he did not want to leave the boy alone after they get to their destination. Not to mention maybe meeting the boy on the train was fate and the start of something rather serious, or he might be overthinking things like usual. Still Mitsuru seemed like a nice kid, Den just hoped that he was not as crazy as Denizen himself was. After all, who would want to be in his company for longer? No matter though, what the future brings, no one knows. But no matter what it was, he always had one way to fix things… with a swift boot to the face.
”Well it sure seems like it.” Denizen held out his hand towards the boy. ”Well, us two on this train might have been fate, so what do you think? Let’s stay together for now. Though as you noticed I am a bit… odd…” He chuckled lightly, his voice with a pleasant ring to it. ”That is if you are all right with that Mitsuru-san.” Den smiled lightly again, yet at Mitsuru’s comment a slight shadow passed over his face, yet it was soon gone and replace by Denizen’s usual smiling face. ”Let’s hope not, even if, then we can always just go back and try again.” He’d shake the boy’s hand if he did grasp his.

The train seemed to be going deeper into a darkness, or maybe the walls of the tunnel seemed to have fallen away. Is that even possible? Who knows, but it seemed like the area was less of a tunnel outside of the train and more of an empty blackness. There is a chance of stars seemed to be, or maybe they were just lights far off, wait... they were greenish? Also, some of those looked like they were numbers? That was not right. How did that happen? Mitsuru was concerned by that as he looked at the scenery that was now starting to show up, even if the scenery made no sense.
Then he noticed the announcement screen. [D-d-d, digimon, digimon, d-d-d-d, digimon digital monsters] started playing on the word and number only display. That was even odder. Where in the wizard of oz were they? Wonderland? This place was becoming more chaotic and crazy by the minute. He now understood by a fraction why the Professor had thought they were crazy. Next thing they would know, they would probably be traveling to different worlds in different places and times in a phone boo- wait no, that was a Doctor. Well, Professor probably had a doctorate in archeology... that was not the point.
He took a deep breath. "I may have spoken too soon about not being crazy, now that I see what I have seen, I am beginning to wonder if we are dreaming." he would take in what the professor had said. "I am fine with us staying together, Denizen-Hakase." he would state this with an upbeat look, but his smile showed that he was feeling uneasy. The whole situation was getting more chaotic in his mind.
He would let his eyes remain closed, but he would pull forward his goggles, and pull them over his eyes, looking out from with in them. "With this situation, we should try to be ready for anything, for I think Dorothy would be saying to Toto that she is not in Kansas anymore, and the Train does not stop for another two hours yet." He had a feeling that this was just the tip of an iceburg, or maybe the beginning of a rainbow road that would lead to some interesting pot of gold. He just hoped that what ever awaited them was worthwhile. He also hoped that he was not really sleeping, because thinking about it, this situation was a lot more amazing than he could have imagined.
He smiled brightly, and at the same time did something he rarely does. He opened his eyes from with in his goggles, before pulling them up. "This train ride is more amazing then anything in the waking world, lets hope the destination is just as exciting, like opening up a new military tactics program or maybe a robotic artillery drone!" he would state with increased enthusiasm, this was going to be a long train ride.

While the train travelled to its destination, Denizen could get a small understanding of the situation. For one the scenery outside was more or less fantastical, like taken out of a SciFi movie. Especially the letters on the black background, though he still tried to figure out what exactly they were or meant. He sighed inwardly though, there was nothing he could do without more clues or references. Though he could assume he was not the only one taken aback. It seemed like Mitsuru was in a similar situation, but that was just a guess, after all, Denizen was not a mind reader.
After listening to the boy he would just place his own hand on Mitsuru’s head and gently pet. ”Dream or not, it is better to be prepared.” He rummaged in his backpack checking if he brought everything. Most of the things he needed were there. ”Well I have my multitool, but having a screwdriver would have been better.” The device he was talking about was one used In his lab for the more fine-tuned operations, it was a really convenient thing to have, nothing he could do now. Here was hoping that they would not get into a situation that would require more finesse than he was able to use without it.
Denizen would chuckle at the reference. “Here goes hoping that our scarecrow and tin lumberjack is more competent and less of a comic relief then.” After stretching a bit he’d continue ”Well better not to stress over it too much. Even if it is a strange situation, we will be able to get by, believe me, I have been through a lot and thankfully we are in this together. Though if this is a dream then I hope we do not wake up soon. Still I wonder if it is my dream or yours?” Denizen hoped it was not a dream though, he rarely met anyone whom he liked right after meeting them. Mitsuru had some kind of quality to him that was… well Denizen was unable to describe it.
Smiling while the boy would fiddle with the goggles he wore, he would note that Mitsuru had pleasant eyes. Though when he would start talking about drones and military programs, Denizen’s eyes would shine a bit. He’d take off his own glasses and smile broadly, his odd eyes almost like two stars in the darkness. ” I know what you mean, there is nothing better than seeing a proper explosion from a well-placed artillery shot.” He’d pause then take something out of his bag, it was his sketchbook and showed some drawings to Mitsuru.
” Drones are fun to draw, especially if you have the ability to make them into models, which I sometimes do at the lab. I should take you sometime, I think you’d find it fun.” The man’s smile would broaden as he talked, there was a lot of different drawings in there. Many depicted drones looking like humanoids, others looked more like animals or typical bulky robots. Though when you looked at them you could see there was a lot of influence from both books and movies, warped in a way that would make them work. Though if Mitsuru read some of Denizen’s less technical or archaeological books, he might notice similarities or outright concepts from them.

Mitsuru's eyes would light up even brighter at the images that were granted to his eyes by the professor. They were amazing that he felt his imagination flow. He was at his happiest then. They were the things that dreams were made of. It just had to be, for what else besides his imouto-chan and robots made for combat deployment that could make his heart beat so? Nothing, I tell you, nothing! For this was his passion being shown to him by one of the robotics experts, even if the guy in front of him did it mostly for a hobby.
"I hope to get to see that lab sometime, especially the models of 2875, and 9462." he would state with a little bit of childish glee. The stars in his eyes would be closed to viewing though as he would go back to his usual mannerism with his eyes. He just had to relax again. He was not used to keeping his eyes open that long. Still, that was fine. He pulled out a screwdriver and gave it to the professor. He had done nothing in response to the head patting, and would just think this being friendly to offer. "Never leave home with out a full set of tools, especially if robotics and programming might be involved." he would state with a sly smile.
This was just him being himself, still the various machines, it was enough to make him feel like a child in a chocolate factory, wait, he went to school with someone who once did that. How odd, what was his name? Willy? Hmm, some foreigner, anyways. The result was, that he was now in his happy place, and did not really care about the fact that outside the train seemed to be nothing but digital code. That could be dealt with later, for now he was in mecha mode.
"I hope to one day get into military level robotics." he would murmur. He would then start to work on pulling out some blueprints that he had printed out at home, showing off some simple military tech and some robots that would use them. Things like a miniaturized rail cannon, and a spider like platform for it. "I have tons of these, school projects mostly, gotta keep the mind sharp." he would start saying, but before long, his words melted into a bunch of mecha and military lingo that would take too long to type. Long story short, he explained the way each machine would one day be able to make military endeavors easier, while upping weapon efficiency.
He sat back and smiled looking up at the ceiling. He was having fun. Denizen Vhid seemed to be able to keep the teenage relaxed. "Still, this is why I was so anxious to catch the right train, when a technology firm calls upon you, and your dream is in technology, you answer." he would say calmly, finally calming himself back down. He was finally happy with how things were going now. He just needed to find out where they were going. That was the truth of this scenario. "I also hope that they provide a nice lunch when we get there, it will be about time when we get there, right?" he would ask.

Denizen would smile at the boy fondly, he knew that look, after all, he saw it many times in the mirror. That passion and glee when finding or working something new, or when looking or working with something that interests you. That is one of the things that he loved about humans, that passion they could exhibit for things they loved and cared for. The man paused… humans? Now where did that come from? It was not like he was a Demon lord or anything. The thought made him smile though, the protagonists in his books that had an Adversary or Hero like that were really fun to write. Still that was not something he should focus on.
“You should keep the screwdriver. Thanks though. I meant one of the tools from my lab, really makes things easier.” He chuckled. “though you are right, better to have a set of tools with you, especially when going to a place in which you do not know what might happen. He continued smiling, yet when he saw the blueprints his expression changed. Denizen’s smile would be gone, his eyes would become sharp and a hardened expression would surface, like a mask. Looking at Mitsuru’s blueprints he could firmly grasp how the boy thought, after all, things like these let you have a really good insight into the creators mind.
”Well now… I think I might have another reason to invite you to my lab now. These are beautiful.” Using a word like that to describe schematics might be strange, yet at the same time one could not help but appreciate just how much effort and work was put into them, not to mention how well thought things were. ”With plans like these I can just see how much you want to work in military robotics, it would be a really good place for you to nurture your talents. I might need to see how you work but… let’s say if anyone asks for references, you can call on my name. Here…” He took out his private number and gave it to the boy, maybe it would help sometime.
The scientist would relax and his expression would soften again, to the one he used normally. After all, he rarely got serious like that, it showed Mitsuru had potential. Yet Denizen would have doubts about the company that tried scouting Mitsuru, the boy was good, yes, but this was something else entirely, why would they call him like this? There were more questions but hopefully things would get sorted out once they would get to their destination
“Hmm… you are right, food would be good then. Still if anything I have rations with me, usually do when going out for longer, there should be enough to last us a while if needed.” He would smile and pat his backpack. Living in the wild for a while really makes you change perspective on being prepared for the strangest events.

The boy was happy, and content now as he took the information, and took in the worlds offered to him. These things he should try to remember for later, and as such placed safely with in his backpacks extra pockets, the one for notes and safe keeping. He would look forward to the future of using that information to get a job in the chosen field he had, but it would have to wait till this endeavor was finished, what ever it was. He still did not know why he got such a message, but he wanted to find out.
He would stand up and stretch though, as they had been sitting for a while other than minor things. He would look around, and notice that the announcement screen still was going on about digimon. "What do you think those are?" he would ask, not certain if he expected an answer about that. It was nothing he had came across, and he lived in Akihabara. They had practically everything there in reference. Even things that did not exist. So something like that was unsettling a little bit.
He would walk towards the door that they had gotten in on. He felt it and it was cool to the touch. That was normal at least. "So far, the only things out of place, seem to be the announcements, and the surroundings of this train." he muttered, as he wondered what else was going on. He looked down at his hand for a moment, but then dismissed it as something just bugging his mind randomly. The only thing he could think of was that birthmark, and that had nothing to do with this scenario, at least that was his thought.
Just what was a digimon, and why is it he felt that they were closer to being in space than in a tunnel? Just what was going to await them at the end of the tunnel? Or rather at the end of this train ride. He just did not know. He wanted to find out though. He also wondered just what kind of influence it would have on his future. With that in mind, he turned towards the forward car. "Maybe we should see who is driving the train?" he asked.
