Denizen would stand up and stretch. Sitting for too long has always been a toll on his body. Though it was mostly when he was not engaging in any activity that it would become apparent. His eyes were drawn to the outside of the train, for the first time he properly saw what was there. Before he only noticed glimpses of the symbols he was so focused on, now though he saw the binary code that surrounded them in the darkness. Either something was in what he ate before he left home or they somehow became part of a Tron movie. Though he rejected both of these explanations.
While standing there he almost missed Mitsuru’s question. “Digimon, huh? Judging by the name and what was shown on the screen before they are Digital Monsters, but if we go by those two words alone it could mean something along the lines of digital life forms that would be in the form of monsters, or rather any shape and size.” He would pause as what he just said was something straight out of a science fiction novel. “Well I guess we will find out what it means when we reach our destination.”
Looking out the window again he would start connecting more dots one again. If it was like he initially thought, then maybe, just maybe, this was not only real but their destination was not in the world they knew anymore. That and this train might be a Digimon if his definition of the world was on target with what they really were. For all he knew this might be an episode of candid camera or a dream, but he hoped it was not. After all, one of his dreams was to meet life forms that would be a bit easier for him to communicate with. More than humans it is.
Denizen sighed inwardly, he was better at handling animals than people. It was one of the quirks he had, though rarely there would be a person like Mitsuru, one he could talk normally to, but he learned that half the time they were pretending, while the rest would have a screw loose in their head… It was probably obvious he preferred the second type. To each their own I guess.
What Mitsuru proposed was rather plausible, after all someone had to run this train… unless… yeah he would see when they would get to the front. It was rather unusual for them to be the only people on the train. “ Yes, let’s go, some moving about would do us good after all this sitting.” He’d then take his backpack and open the door to the next car. After waiting for Mitsuru he’d go in and they’d most likely slowly make their way to the front of the train.

Mitsuru was interested in what that word meant, but would instead focus on a task put forth. He would step one after another towards the door that was up ahead. They should go find out who was in charge anyways. As such he would lead the way, for it was likely quite safe, but he did make sure to have his backpack on him. He wanted something to be usable to keep himself safe should things go oddly. This train could be compared to any other train from the inside, and that was something he realized ages ago. It was just being iterated here for good measure.
This situation seemed a little crazy still to him. Just what was it that was going on. Why was there seemingly a lack of other people here? Why was there a lack of other passengers? Those questions still lingered and reminded him of the situation with the terminal. He also realized that the fallacy of his own mentality. Normally a train would hit several terminals in such a time period, yet so far, no terminal has been hit in all this time. That means this train is going with out any terminals for the duration it looks like, not that they had seen any terminals for a while anyways.
He had to come to terms with this, there was a very real chance this train might have no one on it beyond himself, and the professor, so it was not surprising when the next room was empty of people as well. He would only glance at the professor, before he would look forward again. He would check the different areas of the compartment, just to be certain. This was a trail car, as usual, so he wanted to be certain. It was a newer one so not as likely to have anything, but he wanted to verify with his own eyes and hands.
He would look at the professor again. "Why not take the lead for the next room? I want to be certain of everything before I move on." he would explain as he would test not just the seats, but the open compartments, and the windows. There was just something explainable about this situation to him that had to be settled. That was why he was going to take an extra couple of moments here before moving on.

Denizen would nod to Mitsuru, figuring that there should be nothing bad with separating for now, he just hoped that this would not turn into a B-rate horror movie. “All right, I’ll check the next car, if anything call me.” He turned around and opened the door to the next compartment, leaving it open in case he needed to run back or Mitsuru needed to get to him.
Still as he was moving from one car to another, he would carefully look how they were connected together. Though he would not see anything of the ordinary aside from it being an almost seamless connection. He would be curious how it was achieved as he has not seen something as perfect before. Nonetheless he would move on, though he would be on guard as the quiet was slightly eerie.
Just like he thought, the next car was just as empty as the one he just came from. Unsure if this was reality or just a dream, the setting really was like a poor horror movie. For all he knew the train would either explode or turn into a monster in the next few minutes. Denizen would just shrug, he was curious what would happen next, but at the same time he was more keen to figure out what was the deal with his train, digital monsters as well as the company that called Mitsuru over. That and the symbols… not to mention the binary outside the window.
Question upon questions piled up in Denizen’s head, with no answer in sight. Deep down though, he did not believe this to be a dream or a hallucination, after all, what little he made out of the many strange symbols he found around ruins hinted that they were something more that met the eye. Averting his gaze from the window and going back to reality, he looked around the train car. It did not seem out of the ordinary, but at the same time had this used yet new feeling to it. For one there was no trash around like in a normal train, not to mention the seats have not shown any signs of wear or tear. It seemed like it was either not used by many people or cleaned really well. Both of which were out of the question though… at least for a normal train.
Denizen turned back towards the other end of the car where he would most likely see Mitsuru past the door.”Did you find anything, Mitsuru-san? Over here there doesn’t seem to be anything out of the ordinary… well not counting the almost pristine condition of the train. I have not seen one this clean in my whole life.” He’d continue looking around while waiting for a reply.

The quiet of the train really did make searching easier, but after a time of searching a truth became apparent. It seemed that other than the symbols on the outside, the train was completely unremarkable, at least the cars anyways. This really did mess with the rather odd faced boy. He really could not figure out why it all felt that there should be something else there, something that was not catching his attention. He wanted to find it, but there was nothing.
When Denizen called out, he looked up. "Nothing, this all seems to be a normal train car." he would state, as he looked at the window near him. It was just so eerie in a way, with out anything to show them what was going on, it was just making him more unnerved. Just what was it that they were going through? What kind of world was this, that there was nothing on a train in such a way as this? He just could not comprehend it this well.
He would move into the car that Denizen was in. "Hakase, I guess we should keep heading towards the Train that is drawing the rest of the cars, it may give us answers, or if the cars are anything, it will make us so confused we will both lapse into comatose states until we figure out what is really going on." he would state, a dark look in the smile on his face just kind of said it all. He was beginning to think that something was severely off at this point. This was something that he would have to get to the bottom of.
Then his smile brightened. "Who knows, maybe the reason for all of this, is that the train is handled by some sort of AI, and we were dragged on board like this in order to see it, as two robotic enthusiasts. he would state, though his voice showed none of the humor his words portrayed. He really did not like being left in the dark like this, otherwise how would he ever explain this to his imouto-chan? He had to know so he could explain this to her when he saw her.
So he would start walking towards the next car.

The feeling Denizen had only intensified the more he searched the car. Though there was nothing he could truly do about it, after all he could only press on. Sighing and gathering himself once more, he looked around one final time while waiting for Mitsuru. Once the boy joined him, the man would listen to what he had to say.
”Nothing we can do about it you know. So don’t make such a face.” Denizen would lightly poke the boy’s cheek, for some reason he would behave in a childish manner from time to time. He only hoped that it would lessen the burden on Mitsuru’s mind, after all, the kid did not need to worry too much right now. Denizen could see that the boy was more perceptive than many adults, yet at the same time he was stressing himself out too much.
The man did not like the dark shadow in the boy’s expression. It reminded him too much of his own, when he would lose most of his reason and go on a rampage, channeling his creativity or rage onto one particular target. Yet at the same time he would put his hand on Mitsuru’s head, maybe he was being too familiar but still, it was how he was. ”Let’s hope it does not happen, as last time I was in a state like that, I finished a few projects and lost the fun of actually working on them. Though it does seem like it is my own personality that is sometimes holding me back.” Denizen would chuckle, trying to light the mood at least a little bit.
Yet at the mention of an AI, the scientists eyes would light up slightly. ”Well that would be certainly interesting, maybe you are right even, still, we do not know what the deal is here. This looks like a normal train, at least on the inside. So I think that there might be something else going on as well.” He still believed some of his earlier hypothesis were plausible, despite anything that was going on.
”Time to move on I guess. There should be maybe one or more cars before we reach the front of the train.” He would just state and walk together with Mitsuru to the next car, assuming that it would be similar to the previous ones. Still maybe they would actually find someone there, at least maybe then they would get some answers to what was going on here.

Mitsuru would find himself keeping calm now that the things had been discussed like that. He really did not like the situation with all these gaps in information, but hoped that finding answers would be likely. They were on a train in a train car. They just had to keep going. Still, there was something interesting about this train car that they were going into, was it the fuzzy images that he saw inside it? He had no idea. He would have to study them.
They looked like beings in pain. Creatures he had not seen before, but more than that, he noticed that humans seemed to be involved. These creatures ranged from humanoid to unlikely to exist, but he noticed it none the less. He saw humans aligned with some of these creatures, but even those humans were taken down, by other humans who wielded these creatures like weapons. He saw uniforms, and strange devices in hand. He saw a banner he could not read that well, something starting with D. He did not know what to think of it for now, but he knew he needed to look into this.
A voice would ring out, ephemerally. [...H.lp...m...] It would state, giving Mitsuru a strange look on his face. [Please....Help....me...] It would repeat, louder this time, more clear. Finally a full message could be heard. [Please you must help me, or us...The humans are taking over our world!] the voice would state, and a glow would react from his left hand. It was his birthmark that seemed to be glowing, but the glow died down after a moment. He would see a girl standing in front of him, ethereal in appearance, but dressed as a nun. [Please help us, our world is being taken over, and you can stop it.] She would say, a gentle smile on her face, one filled with sadness, [We are using some technology left by your people to contact you... you must stop them, we need the help of a human... to stop the humans..] Then an explosion would happen in the background, before the image would fuzz out again and disappear.
He would stand wide eyed. He had never seen such a scenario, but would this be part of his fate? His destiny? A Conquest to bring forth a revelation for some people that he did not know. Was this some sort of birthright? He did not know, but he knew that he would have to look into it, so he would look at his mentor, his hero. "Hakase...What do you think of that? he would ask, though his face was a blank smile. He was really shocked by this turn of events. "Who would have thought this train car would bring this forth to us?" he would add, before sitting down for a moment. For some reason, he felt that he needed to rest after seeing that.

Denizen relaxed lightly when he saw his companion visibly calm down. This would prevent the boy from panicking at least. Though there was something else on his mind right now. It was what they saw in the next car. There were some things that looked similar to shadows, but they were more like people as well. Well calling them that might not be accurate as they had many different forms. Some looked like humans, yet different as if warped, others like extinct creatures from the past, while there were also those that looked like machines or robots.
Yet there were also those that looked like small animals, well more like small bundles of fur, or similar to young kits. He felt a tingle in his chest, he had no idea what this feeling was, it might have been compassion or sadness. Unknownst to him, his hand reached out to the little ones, as if to comfort them, they looked sad, in pain even. His world flipped upside down once his fingertips brushed against the shadowy figure.
What he saw deep in his mind, were the memories of that being. It was as if he watched a virtual reality movie, but one that transmitted the sense of pain and feeling of who you relived it as. Maybe it was due to some kind of affinity, or maybe some trait Denizen’s body had. It is impossible to know. At the time he had other things to worry about. He felt it, the sadness, the loss and sometimes even thirst for revenge, what got him the most was the longing to protect their families, from danger, from enemies… from humans…
Denizen did not know what to make of this, but many of the memories had one conclusion. The beings, the Digimon, as they were called, were killed or seriously injured, by humans. Though there was another things, it seemed that there were some humans fighting for the Digimon as their partners. The memories were fuzzy on that, but it seemed that many of them were kids… but they still died. This was beyond grief for Denizen, this was… an emotion he had not felt before.
Each new memory he viewed, each he relived seemed to warp his expression, but the person that appeared, asking for help. She looked like a nun, but there was something else that got Denizen’s attention. Human technology? He thought, but the conclusion he came to was not something he liked. ”Those assholes…” He muttered. There was only one type of equipment that could work in a similar way, but it was in the testing phase, yet here he had it, right in front of him… one of the very technologies he designed…
The girl disappearing was the last straw and his emotions fully took root in his heart, but also fully surfaced in his appearance. His face was like a mask, his skin pale. While his eyes became sharp his pupils became so small that they looked like two small dots. He leisurely brushed his hair back by using his hand, making him appear more stern. At the same time his usual smile turned into a grimace, with his canines showing and due to the lighting looking strangely sharp. With the multitude of shadows going across his face as the train moved on undisturbed, he looked really eerie.
Denizen knew one thing, something was going on, on the other side, the destination where the train was taking them. He knew humans were involved and even without even seeing the world that was mentioned, he still had a feeling of having to help. Maybe it was due to the residual memories, but he had already decided. ”I will stop you, for the little ones.” He muttered to himself like in a trance.
Mitsuru’s voice got him out of it though. He had no idea just how much his appearance warped, but now he looked just like usual. ”Mitsuru, I think we might be getting into a war, one we may or may not come back from. But… maybe this was why both of us were drawn to this place. This train, may be our ride to a place we were meant to be in. We shall see… though for now I hope we will be able to do what is needed. I’ll be in your care.” There was still a strange light in Denizen’s eyes as he looked at the boy, yet that disappeared as soon as he finished talking.

War. That one word resonated with in Mitsuru. It was a tough word, one that meant that there was conflict and strife, if this was true. That would mean they would have to seek out a way to end the conflict for the side they would be forced to join, which ever side it was. If he had to choose... he would choose the side of that girl.
He did not honestly care about species, but he did care that someone like that had been injured. That their heart had been broken. He cared that these beings that had been attacked were almost all defenseless, or being ganged up on.
He felt himself heat up in his mind. "Hakase, if there is a war, then I swear I will fight, no being should be repressed by beings from another world in their own home." His smile was showing signs of great determination. He did not want to stand for a side that was being oppressed, or used in a war, when humans should be able to fight for what they want, and those that are indigenous should be allowed to live and rule their world as they see fit. He would stand up for those that were being repressed, even if it meant going against his own people.
His imouto-chan would be so proud of him, if she was to be here now. He has hope that he will eventually run into her, so that he might be able to tell her about all that he has decided to accomplish. He would make her so proud of him, by standing up for such things, even if it made him a demon king!
Still, the train would move on though. He would have noted if it had stopped, but it seemed that they were getting closer by the moment. It would still take them a few posts to get to their destination, so probably about an hour and a half. Maybe.
He would look at the professor again. "I think we should consider what we should do until we get to our destination carefully." he would say, as he looked at the windows. He would notice that there was something in the distance if he looked forward, like a gateway into another world, and beyond that, what looked to be blue sky. He wondered just what it all meant.
Still, this did not harm him any when he thought about it. It meant more time to get ready and prepare for what ever they would be dealing with. They did not know what the landing would be, but they would find out when they got there. He would look at the door ahead, thinking about how much further they might be able to go.
He would quickly check the door to the car behind them, and find it locked. How odd. He would look quizzically at it. "Does that door to the next car work? This one is locked for some reason." he would state, a calm but annoyed feeling in his voice. His smile and closed eyes just showing it in the reflection of the glass at the door.
He would look at the door he had checked, and wondered just what happened. When did it lock for instance, would pass through his mind. He would study the door's mechanism, but see no locking mechanism. That was really strange, and he sadly lacked any kind of door removal device at the moment. That meant that he was unable to go back, but he was happy he kept his stuff with him. That would make it so nothing was left behind by him.
He would return to thoughts of the events he saw. "I plan to do what I must, even if I must become a demon." he would mutter, a dark shadow passing over his face in the reflection, as he thought about that situation. He did not care what he had to do for that, but he was really angry with the humans for what they were doing. The beings of that world must be superior, that was the only reason why they would do it. He hated cowards like that, who ruled and lead.

There were many thoughts running through Denizen’s head, but there was one that was really bothering him. If they were going to another world, then they had to be prepared for the worst. Especially since what they saw just now was something entirely unexpected. Still, they would have to face the worst kind of being – humans. Denizen knew what evil people could do, especially if they were blinded by their greed and pride.
Now though, there were other things to consider. Denizen heard Mitsuru mention the car behind them being inaccessible, which was strange for one, though it might have been due to the message or projection of the girl appearing, At least Denizen thought it was a possibility. Still, there was also the possibility that the cars were left behind, even if that was rather a low case scenario. For now, he needed to rest, seeing all those memories, reliving them, was something that took a toll on his mind.
”I think we should sit down… though not here, let’s try the next car if possible. I… need to process some things.” His voice was kind of strained, while he looked fine on the outside, he was not so inside. Denizen, reached out towards the next car door, fortunately it was open and the next car was empty, at least he did not see any apparitions there. Sighing he went in, going to one of the seats in the middle, only to sit down right after.
Denizen would beckon Mitsuru to sit down as well.
He’d wait a few moments before speaking, once he did, his voice would be calm yet at the same time there was underlying emotion hidden underneath. “We need to talk a bit, if only to decide what we will do from now on.” He paused and looked outside the window for a moment. “I know you feel we should fight for them, I won’t stop you, but at the same time I don’t want you to do it alone.”
He paused again, then looked at Mitsuru, his expression really serious. “Let’s go and see how things are over there and help those we feel we should, but I want you to remember one thing, keep safe and don’t die. Prioritize your own wellbeing. Also… Let’s keep close, I don’t think we will be able to do much alone, together we may have a bigger chance to change things. I will be honest. I don’t feel much for other humans, though I feel like I can relate to you.”
Denizen closed his eyes, but after he opened them there was a strange light hidden behind his gaze. ”I will do what I can to prevent innocents being hurt… Anything no matter what it might be.” He declared firmly.

Following the professors request, he heads to the next car as soon as the door is proven not to be locked, but unlike the professor, he goes to check the next train car, only to find that door and the one they had came from are locked. They were two from the engine too, he could see it. This was an odd situation, so after figuring this out, he would go and sit down. He had processed most of what he needed to for not the moment, but was surprised when the professor started to say more things.
He would listen attentively. "If I am not to do it alone, and you are offering to go with me, then as one I look up to, I will be glad to have you along." he would say, the feminine tone of his voice hiding the seriousness of his mannerisms. His eyes remained closed, but his smile was a serious yet warm smile. He would follow what he was saying. He would have to be careful with what he was doing. "I will have to also be prepared to protect those innocent, but I may have to make enemies in the process," He would start, but then his smile would grow, this is a more mischief filled or maybe malicious smile, "Yet I do not mind, for the end result will be the same, I will prevent this scenario from happening again." he would say firmly.
He would look out the window, while listening to the Professor. He understood essentially that he needed to remain alive, and that he also wanted to prevent harm to the innocent. Did he have the resolve though? The resolve to stop the humans, and to do what might be needed? It might twist both of them into things that they are not now, things that might make it hard to go back to their lives after this. Still, he realized he would have to give a better show to the professor, to prove that he was serious.
As such, he stood up, opening his eyes as he held out his left hand, holding it up so that the birthmark would reveal itself. "On this mark that has been there since birth, I swear I will stand up against the tyranny of humans, and protect the innocent, even if it makes me a Demon in the process." he would say, his eyes showing a dark temperament matched by his smile, one of grim determination, one that would make him stand forth. His girly figure may have made it look a little less intimidating or heroic, but he did not care, this was his declaration. "I will let nothing stop me, nor will I allow myself to die in the process." he would add. He would close his eyes again, preventing a possible hyper beam from escaping. He really did not like the thought of it coming from him in this small space.

Observing the boy and listening to his words, Denizen would lightly smile. He saw the boy was determined, but at the same time he didn’t know just what they will see and how their actions will shape their future. Denizen looked outside the window, observing the surroundings. Soon though, he’d close his eyes and lean back, creating a pause in their conversation for more than just a few moment. His cheeks would slacken and he’d smile slightly. He resolved himself, any hesitation he might have had disappearing then.
When he opened his eyes and looked at Mitsuru, one would be able to see the strange light in his eyes, as if shining through. It was there since he saw the visions of the specters’ pasts. Yet now, once he had no thoughts hindering him, making him hesitate, his eyes seemed to shine in the darkness, it might be just an illusion, but something was there. Maybe it was just some residue from the spirits, maybe the memories changed, corrupted him in a way, he would not know, nor would anyone else most likely.
Smiling, he opened his mouth to speak once more. ”Demons? Well that would not be hard to become.” He chuckled lightly. ”There is no good nor evil, there is only greed. That is most of the motivation for humans or any being really to act. Though it has so many forms one might not see it at first.” He put one of his hands over the other as he sat there, cross-legged. ”A person is a demon from someone’s standpoint, no matter what they do, there will be always those that perceive your intentions or acts as “evil”. That is the way of the world.” He’d make air quotes at the word evil.
”Ahh, this makes me remember many of the places I visited. Many of the tombs or ruins… yes they were like that as there was always a demon lurking somewhere, people were eradicated due to someone’s greed. Well, that is how things are.” He trailed off as another thought, or more like some of his past ideas came to him one again. ”I wonder if where we are going there are going to be ruins… Would be nice to make one ours, like a base….” He remembered a story he once wrote, that and what he imagined as a child. ”Sorry, in the past I always dreamed of becoming an overlord of a dungeon… Like a powerful lich with minions and underlings… people I could trust… Well maybe that is also why I feel at ease in those places. Don’t you think it would be fun? To become a lord of a tomb or something of that sort.” He chuckled and his grind widened. Denizen had a serious yet playful expression, one would call it almost innocent if not for how his eyes looked.

Sitting there, waiting as they got closer to the end of the line, or so he thought, he watched out the window. He did not know why but he now felt antsy to get there, and soon. He did not want to sit here for this entire time, and wait, he wanted to be there already, so as to find out what is going on. He wanted to start his adventure, so he might claim his destiny. Let his fate be guided, even if it was into a tomb, or possible dungeon underground maze hybrid. Either way would be fine.
It was almost odd the timing the professor had, as he mentioned the tombs he had visited around the time that Mitsuru's thoughts had thought on a tomb. "I do not know what we will find, Hakase, but when we get there, we shall see." she said, a bit of patience in his voice that denied the impatience he felt. He gave a laugh though over the idea of being an lord of a tomb, and being a lich. "Why stop there? Why not become so much more? Technology is a marvelous thing." he would state, his boyish enthusiasm showing at that thought.
He did not know what else to say to it though, as he noticed the glint in the professors eyes. Apparently this was drawing up old emotions and drives in the older male. He could not blame him. They both had reason now to be here, even if it was not the intention they thought they were taking. They were going to a place they had not been to. He would close his demeanor for a few moments, as he thought over it all. To think, not long ago, maybe even a day ago, he got a message saying to come here for his destiny, and now he was going to face it, if all worked out.
Then a thought occurred to him. "Just to be safe, I hope there are bathrooms and plenty of food where we are going, would not like to be stuck in that embarrassment" he would state, as he laughed it off. It was something less serious, he knew, but he also wanted to be reminded that there was time for laughter too. Just right now it was one that was needed versus one that was wanted. He wanted to get there, to start walking, to find what he needed to find, and to fix the problem, not sit on a train, passing idle chatter back and forth.

Thinking about it, he had no idea what the place they were heading to was like, aside from the memories and images the phantoms let him see. Still, Denizen knew that what he saw was only part of the whole picture and that there had to be places that were peaceful. Though for him it did not make much difference, after all he had been exploring ruins, drawing up designs and creating robotics for a living. So it would have been obvious that his life was not peaceful. Still as he looked at Mitsuru he wondered if the boy would be all right, he had a feeling everything would be all right but at the same time he could not help but be worried, even if his intuition told him not to.
”Well, I’ll just say that much, the most secret things are sometimes hidden in plain sight.” He chuckled lightly, then continued. ”Honestly speaking, we do not know what is waiting for us, so better not get too antsy and make mistakes or miss something important.” Denizen felt the boy was a bit restless and while Mitsuru did not show it as much, to Denizen it was still apparent due to how much he analyzed people before. Though he knew everyone was different, some hints will be still there.
“Speaking of which, it’s a good thing I packed more provisions and whatnot before I left. Should at least help us slightly if we find ourselves in an uninhabited area.” Denizen smiled lightly, closing his eyes. ”Though the story will be different if we run across any enemies, I should be able to protect myself, but the boy is a different story… It will work out somehow though. I would not forgive myself in anyone was hurt in my presence.” He thought, sighing inwardly at how his personality was and influenced his decisions.
Honestly speaking Denizen had no idea how well he was prepared, but at least they should be fine for a while. While he hoped they would end up at a station similar to where their journey began, he was not a person to assume the best possible scenario. Usually, Denizen prepared for the worst… which was what kept him safe till now. ”Though I think this is enough rest. Shall we continue? We still have some places to explore.” He got up smiling, taking his backpack with him as he headed towards the door to the next car.

The boy just looked at him at the final suggestion. "That door is locked, I checked before I sat down." he would state. His smile one of disappointment. He had checked, and noticed that they were locked into this car when they had gotten in here. He also knew that the next car was the last one before the train car that pulls it all. That was rather annoying to him. "I think we are not allowed to go back, or forward, and the doors letting us out will not likely open till we reach the platform." he would add. He was oddly calm about this, but it might just be that everything that had happened so far was now just making it so he realized the draw back of panicking for now.
He would sit back and watch out the window, as they pulled out of the tunnel that seemed to unleash into what looked like an actual world, with the rails for the tracks going down from this opening, and towards the curvature of a planet. The planet on the other hand looked both organic and at times not with missing portions showing a digital structure underneath. The tunnel he noticed looking back, was kind of a black opening with green numbers behind it, all zeroes and ones.
He would study the outlines of the tracks that they were following, as best as one could with that angle anyways. "We are getting closer it seems, soon we should know where this train will let us off at." he would state, his voice calm, but irritable, the smile showing about the same. He was not enjoying being locked down like this, but he knew that there was little that could be done. If only his little sister was here, or maybe at the platform waiting for him, then he could feel more excited and would forgive this principle of being locked in a train car waiting to be released.
He took off the glove of his left hand and stared at the birthmark of his. It really did look odd, less like a random discoloration and maybe more like a symbol, but of what? He had no idea. It was some sort of brand maybe? Or maybe a symbol of itself. Either way, it was something that he did when he felt like he needed to center himself. He hoped to one day be able to use his little sister for that. How better, than an imouto to center an Onii? He did not know of anything else. Still the comfort of the fact that the Professor seemed to follow similar thoughts, but also brought provisions made things easier on them both, he suspected. He just had to hope that all would go well when they finally landed at the platform.

The man just shrugged and shook his head. ”Nothing we can do but enjoy the ride.” He rummaged in his backpack for a while and took out two cans of soda. “Here, let’s just relax till we get to our destination. For now we can do nothing more. As they say, what should happen, will, no matter what you do. Though I think we are going for one hell of a ride.” he laughed wholeheartedly, the rolled the can in his hand, thinking of something. “No idea what will happen, but, one thing is for certain, I won’t be bored there, and maybe I will find new things that will amuse me.”
Denizen shook his head and looked outside the window, those thoughts he just had, were really unlike his own, maybe the stress was getting to him, or maybe it was something else, he would not know. Maybe in the future he might find out what it was, but at the same time it might have just been his true inner feelings surfacing. One’s he has not revealed before. Or it might just be his mind being giddy for adventure.
Looking outside he saw the planet, his eyes sparkled lightly, making him observe with glee. He had no idea what that place was, but it looked really interesting. Yet nothing new came no matter how much he looked or strained his eyes to see more. Dejected he sighed and looked back, there he saw Mitsuru observing the birthmark on his hand. It looked interesting, but Denizen could not shake his feeling that he saw it somewhere before. It was not that important, answers would come with time he figured.
“I’ll be honest, that birthmark looks really familiar… but not sure why. Well maybe it is just an effect of a Rorschach illusion, or the different languages and forgotten symbols I have been studying. Also sorry for just peeking without asking. Was slightly curious is all.” He made an apologetic expression though at the same time he still was full of curiosity… well that was what made Denizen how he was. ”Still, everything should be all right, I have a feeling it will be, if not well… not like I’ll lose an arm or two if things get a bit hairy.” He chuckled and leaned back onto the seat. Relaxing as they slowly approached their destination, which was still far away, despite being close enough to be seen with the naked eye.
