DAICHI KUMO"Where's my crucifix? Where are my cigarettes?" Name: Daichi Kumo (Kumo Daichi in Japanese transcript) Alias: "Dai", "D", "Meathead", "The Tower" Age: Eighteen Gender: Male ♂ Sexuality: Heterosexual Height: 6' 8" Weight: 276 lbs Alignment: Lawful Evil Birth Date: April 22nd Birth Place: Osaka, Japan. Western Horoscope: Taurus (♉) Eastern Zodiac: Dragon (Earth) Occupation: Underground boxer. Crests: Wrath (not obtained), Spite (not obtained) Tarot: The Tower Speech: Brown
"This hypodermic melancholy is not enough." STRENGTHS:
✔ Heavyweight: Since a young age, the heavily-built Daichi has devoted hour upon hour of his life to his one true passion; boxing. Semi-professional throughout Japan and waiting to break through into professional in a couple of years, if Daichi throws a punch; you're going down. Obviously, against Digimon, this is much less effective, with most of the effects of his punches being nullified against Champion and above.
✔ The Great Outdoors: Thanks to his sister being something of a computer-obsessed shut-in, Daichi had, as a child, no-one to play around with. He took his creativity and his initiative to the outside, where he found another thing he had incredible skill at. Daichi can, when given the proper equipment, survive on his own. He can make a campfire, fashion a tent or a den, collect rainwater to drink and even hunt small animals for sustenance.
✔ All Terrain: Daichi took on multiple obstacle courses in his youth as part of preparing for boxing and can move, whilst not quickly, but surely, over any sorts of terrain, from mountain to forest, forest to jungle, jungle to even desert; he's acquainted with the pros and cons of moving for extended periods of time in an eclectic selection of earthly - and not so much earthly - terrains.
✔ Scrambler: In spite of the misleading skill name, Daichi cooks some mean scrambled eggs.
"Feed me whiskey and you'll feel me, the time has come..." WEAKNESSES:
✗ Below Average: Daichi is quite obviously a sweltering and undeniable moron. His intelligence - whether due to genetics or repeated solid impacts to the cranium - is arguably below average.
✗ Headstrong: His personality traits altogether dictate that though driven, deterministic, and in some aspects rather admirable, Daichi is... well, headstrong is something of an understatement. If he so much as things there is the notion of challenge or insult he will leap to defend himself - physically. And his partner usually gets dragged into it.
✗ Smoker's Lung: In spite of his athletic prowess, Daichi smokes. A lot. Twenty a day plus. All those cigarettes for all that time have come together and meant that his lungs look like the underside of a tarmac road on a warm summer's day. He occasionally breaks into fits of uncontrollable coughing and his lung capacity is far from admirable.
"You want a revolution, I want the f***ing truth."
"Got these sticks of dynamite & dyin' to light them."
First and foremost, it should be understood that Daichi is needlessly violent. He is easily angered. Imagine the person you know who has the shortest fuse imaginable; a psychotic aunt, a deranged cousin, a batsh*t crazy little brother who has no fear. Add them all together and cut their collective fuse in half and you're still not getting close. The slightest thing can act as a trigger for Daichi; anything from a speck of dirt on his preferably-impeccable suit to finding a graze on his digivice. He is impossibly easy to anger, so much so that it is naturally presumed that he just wants to be angry all the time - he just needs a reason to be.
"Go, so f*cking deterimined, yeah, spit out all reason..."
Set this young man's gaze on something and give him a little motivation to go, and Daichi is like a wind-up monkey doll wreaking wanton destruction and terror wherever he goes. Make no mistake; Daichi was that kid as a child. He did not stop til he got everything he wanted. That hasn't changed; but the methods through which he seeks to achieve it has. Now thoroughly independent - something which, funnily enough, he has long since strived to be - very little has changed; set his sights on something he wants or make him aware of a source of great power, physical or otherwise, and he will march without cease or rest towards it. He will not falter, he will not stop, he will continue until his body is broken and his mind bleeds, a juggernaut of indomitable will and an unstoppable train in any respect.
"Terror rains drenchin', quenchin' the first of tha power dons, that five-sided fistagon."
Touched on earlier, Daichi is completely unpredictable and sporadic. One moment you may be having a "tolerable" conversation with him, and the next he may burst into a ceaseless rage and begin kicking and punching things. Don't tell yourself you've met someone who seems to have more triggers than there are things to be concerned about on this Earth, least not til you have met Daichi Kumo; literally anything will set him onto one of his malicious, self-destructive, and pointless rampages. A flurry of punches against the wall and a broken knuckle later and he may calm down in a bloody sweat, but the very anger he displays will be crackling in the air around you, and, trust me, you'll want to take a step back.
"I'm not gonna give up, I'm gonna take what's mine, feel a fire comin' on, it's just a matter of time..."
Pointlessly competitive about things he needs not be, Daichi enjoys competition. That in itself can be a virtue, but, obviously, as a man of excess, Dai takes it too far. Seriously; he was renowned in school for at one point making a competition out of who was the most competitive. He tries his hardest to be the best at everything he can everywhere. Anything he doesn't naturally succeed in he will renounce as being "stupid" or "pointless"; see his academic pursuits. There's a reason he didn't go to college. It's good to have aims and drive, but this young man may take it too far; with his deterministic attitude, he literally will not stop til he's at the top, and, then, chances are, that's when he'll want some more.
"Rich kid, asshole, paint me as a villain."
The one thing the two Kumo siblings do share between their wealth of comparative personality defects is their sadistic streak. Vira may have hacked for fun as a child, but it was Daichi who was sat outside burning ants with a magnifying glass, literally "for the f*ck" of it. Leave two kids alone for long enough and they, with enough outside influence, even subtly, can become absolute monsters. Children were once said to be, when left alone, the most pointlessly destructive representation of human development, and it's when they don't progress out of this or after serious neglect that they evolve into sociopaths and killers, and it truly resonates with Daichi. Whether it's battle or boxing he's ruthless; known for his dirty punches and his inability to cease throwing them even when his opponent is beaten, bloody, and broken on the floor, Dai really does have the makings of a very damaged man, and a villain.
"I think I'm dumb, or maybe just happy."
Dai wasn't gifted in the ways of the scholar or the academic. No; let's put it in simpler terms: he's pretty much a f*cking moron. After boxing and battle tactics, his intelligence really lies elsewhere, or, infact, not at all. The kid never concentrated in class. They say of the Kumo siblings, Vira got the smarts, and it's really visible in Daichi that he didn't. Books are stupid and he spent his time at school smoking behind the bike sheds and being intimidating, occasionally having to stand up for his reclusive older sister's "honour" - just another reason to throw a punch. Whilst he's not a complete invalid, being able to perform basic mathematics and comprehend typical sentence structure, and has surprising fluency in English, everything else is beyond him. Present him with algebra, or a string of code - as Vira has many times before - and he can't so much as comprehend it. Even some conceptual aspects of his digital adventures are more than difficult for him to come to grips with.
"I took a chance and made it on my own."
Arrogance. Hubris. Pride. The original sin. At the end of the day, it all comes down to Pride. It's what the angel Lucifer fell for, and why he became Satan. It is the cardinal sin of all cardinal sins, and whilst, arguably, Daichi represents Wrath, that in a sense only stems from his Pride. Haughty and arrogant, everything Daichi does at the end of the day can be said to boost his ego. He threw punches at school to feel good about himself. He threw punches in the ring to feel better. And now he's coming to the Digital World, he'll throw punches - metaphorically - there to feel even greater. Daichi likes feeling like the stereotypical big man; and paradoxically, whilst running the show is far beyond his ability or comprehension, Dai will always reproach all challengers to his ego or supposed "position"; his pride doesn't just show through in himself, but as a part of being Hakainushi, too.
"No voodoo ordeal, can stop me now..."
Daichi is, put simply, a terrifying sight. He's a six-foot-eight, two-hundred-and-seventy-plus pounds behemoth of flesh and bone. He towers above most adults; and in Japan, where the average height is less than that of a Western world, people look at him with apprehension and fear. The rippling musculature that five years of professional boxing will do to you, two of those being day-in, day-out, gives an aura that seems to radiate from him, an aura of violence, an aura of outward determination. Grit-tooth, face-to-the-floor determination. There's nothing else.
Dai stands out. And it isn't just because of his height, or his pale, cold, grey eyes, without an iota of pure and untwisted compassion in each of them. It isn't because of the hair he dies white without cease to give himself a look that makes him instantly recognisable walking through the street - as if his gait and stature isn't enough already - and it isn't because his choice attire is a black suit with an orange shirt and boxing tape over his hands. It's because of the way he presents himself. His posture is far from perfect, but it resonates with his "no-f*cks-given" attitude.
His voice is deep and hoarse, like that of your typical teenager. He keeps his face relatively trim, with no love for facial hair beyond a touch of extension at the sideburns, and his skin isn't exactly pale, but the not-quite-tanned touch of the Asian pigment. His hair is consistently gelled up into spikes to give a completely understandable metaphor of his general personality, and, to top it all off, there's usually a visible scab, nick, scar, or bruise; and if not, there's a whole network of them across his covered body. A bandage over his nose is the most common sight of a night in the boxing club - or a day out spelunking in the Digital World. _________________________________________________
"I'll tear this place apart, til you give me what I want."
Vira was a restless, screaming baby. In stark contrast, Daichi was quiet. He was stalwart. When something came along he didn't like or agree with, he didn't cry; he just didn't give it the time of day. "Fearless from the womb", his parents often called him. How right they were.
Daichi was a strong and independent child, but at the same time, he was pretty much a whiny little ewe. As a toddler, if he didn't get what he wanted, he threw a tantrum; and this isn't the on-the-floor, screaming-in-public tantrum that most consider extreme. He would start throwing things, hitting things, kicking things, and even at one point bite extended family who tried to approach him until he was satiated with what he wanted or something close to it. Of course, in certain scenarios, this became slightly more difficult, when he was five or six and asked for a Dreamcast, and literally threw a tantrum for six hours straight before his parents produced him with something that he considered "close enough".
As he grew older, he didn't so much learn how to conceal this extreme force of will and show of childish discontent so much as changing it. By eight or nine, he didn't go crazy every time he didn't get his way; but instead his parents noticed isolated events, almost daily, which involved some form of aggressive behaviour towards them, Vira, house pets, anyone, pretty much. It was becoming a worrying pattern which they ignored; for eighteen years, they ignored it, they put it down to "a phase". An eighteen-year phase. And by the time they realised that there had been something wrong in the development of Daichi's ability to deal with stress, fear, and hatred, it was too late. He was already the most aggressive individual many had come into contact with.
Whilst Vira excelled at academia and computer skills, Daichi's proficiency, it was clear, lied in sports. The parents sent him to the same trade school, a prodigious and expensive place, a year after Vira, as they had decided was now familial custom, but it didn't last long. Two suspensions in his first year and an ultimatum; "behave or leave". Dai really did do his best to keep his anger concealed to his dorm room, but it didn't help. Even though he was star player for many of the athletics and sports teams and quite a popular individual - for his no-holds-barred "I don't give a flying f*ck" attitude, as it is, edgily enough, with teens - the school had no qualms about kicking his ass out. Halfway through the second year, after he broke a classmate's shins over a game of Crazy 8s, it happened; and Daichi Kumo returned home, sulking, and having to sign up for the nearby state-funded public school.
It was a slightly more liberating place; and by "liberating", the narrator here means "scummy". The local educational establishment - or, well, the nearest that would have Dai, with his less-than-impeccable record - really seemed not to give half a damn. By the time he was fifteen, Daichi was essentially the ringleader of a gang of bullies, for the same attitude he had maintained through the private-funded trade school, skipping classes left and right to smoke cigarettes behind the bike shed. His only redeeming attribute was, ironically, his ability to throw a punch; a particularly light-hearted coach had found him within the first couple of weeks and, taking a shine to the kid, aggressive and outwardly spiky as he was, signed him up for teams of every physical activity he could consider. Wrestling, football, hockey, athletics... but it wasn't til around the time Dai hit thirteen that the coach threw him into the game where he really found his element. Boxing.
Boxing didn't serve as a way to vent his anger; Dai was perpetually angry. But it helped. It really did. Throwing a punch legally and without fear of getting kicked out of school felt... good. Far better than pinning nerds up against the lockers to extort lunch money from them - as useful a scheme as it was. The self-destructive behaviour he exhibited was cloaked somewhat as he grew into the school's star boxer. Sadly, by the age of sixteen, he had decided that his academic pursuits were less important than those of an athletic nature, and he dropped out of high school and went into full-time boxing.
By day, for literally hours on end, he would spend every waking moments in the training room he'd set up in his wealthy parents' estate. Three times a week, he'd go to boxing classes, run by his old high school coach, the only person he could honest-to-God say he missed from that sh*thole. They didn't care. They were gone for most of the week. By night, he would do one of two things. The first was what any teenager would do with an empty house for weeks on end and a small fortune in inheritance to burn through. Party. The Kumo estate became the site of some of the wildest underage drinking parties the district would see. Violence, drugs, alcohol, sex... you name it, it could be found at Dai's party. And there was never any worry of unscrupulous characters turning up uninvited or unwarranted; a swift right hook to the bridge of the nose and they ran away, clutching their bloody face, thanks to the six-foot-eight behemoth of a man who ran them, sometimes even charging for entry. But the second thing he spent his nights doing...
...was underground boxing.
Boxing in a ring is a unique experience. Touching gloves, sweat towels, mouthguards, the sense of mutual camaraderie-cum-hatred between two fighters... it's one thing that's almost impossible to emulate elsewhere. And it's beautiful. The experience, for Daichi, was comparable to little else. That dazzled feeling of minor concussion mixed with a spot of competitive spirit and a dash of sadism, wanting to see that other person bloody, broken, and pummeled into the ground; but ring boxing stops before two people can truly reach their violent apex and release their feelings. It's not about the fighters; it's about the sports. Underground, bare-knuckle boxing, however... is something different entirely. The feel of flesh rippling under the touch of a knuckle, the success of knowing you've ducked or weaved around or below an incoming blow that could have shattered your jaw, the split of bone when the best punch of the night makes contact. And an audience roaring not for money, not for sport, not for profession; but instead, roaring for blood.
It was ecstatic. It was beautiful. It was a rush to Daichi, whose unbeaten streak in the professional and underground worlds meant he was swiftly making a name and a small fortune for himself. It was more than a sport. It was something else. To him? It was a way of life. But for two years he had been boxing by day and indulging himself in the needs of the flesh or the fist by night; this self-destructive attitude of life couldn't last forever. And needless to say, it wouldn't... it seemed that the dies of fate had a little more planned than punchups under an overpass and drinking Jack Daniels from a bottle for Daichi Kumo...
Having been reunited with his sister after crossing into the Digital World, Daichi has met a strange "Digimon" known as Barrigan, who is to be his partner, and another who goes by Giygas. Barrigan, at first, tested Daichi's already-stiflingly-short patience, but after watching he and Giygas - arguably stronger - exchange blows, he realised the small weasel's innate abilities, and the two are now happily partnered; whilst it's a beneficial relationship, of course.

BARRIGAN
"It's the cruelest joke to play."
Partner’s Name: Barrigan Default Form: Gazimon Gender: Male Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Speech: Dodgerblue
"I'm so high I run in place." SKILLS:
Barrigan is sly. There's no other real way to put it. He really is just a sly piece of work. Due to his nature, he can not only concoct bamboozles and stratagems of his own, but he can easily tell when he - and the slightly more easily lead-astray Daichi - are being conned or tricked. Call it a sort of trickster's scrutiny. ► Empathy: Whilst there's no mental or telekinetic bond between tamer and Digimon here, the pair do share some form of inexplicable empathetic bond. If one feels an intense emotion, the other has an ability to sort of realise it in a "sixth sense", and it can go towards influencing theirs. For an example, say Daichi is getting angry during a battle, that emotion could influence Barrigan, and cause him to digivolve from Gazimon into Devidramon. ► Natural Hunter: By sniffing upon a scent where a Digimon has been up to twenty-four hours ago, Barrigan can determine family, attribute, and direction. If the scent is less than twelve hours old, he can also discern size. ► The Biggest Troll: Daichi's sadism is mainly physical. He gets non-sexual pleasure from pounding people into the dirt. Barrigan's is slightly different. He just straight-up enjoys f*cking with people. ► The Grant: All Hakainushi members are privy to this. In-battle, The Grant gives a 25% boost to all and any attacks' damage with a non-physical part (any special damage) for every enemy visible when multiple enemies are visible (starting with the second enemy) stackable up to the fourth enemy, granting Hakainushi members the ability to fight on any turf alone with multiple enemies as a guerrilla, terrorist-type organisation. The Grant does not function individually against enemies of a lower level than the user. ► Vendetta: When this is triggered, it is essentially a call to arms. Daichi and Barrigan have the right to brand anyone who crosses them as a target for vendetta. Placing a target on vendetta provides a legitimate reason for all and any Hakainushi members to chase and enter any thread they may be in and challenge them to battle. ► Deadly Triumvirate: The three Hakainushi Lieutenants are granted, when on their home turf (explained below), a +1 stage boost to their combat abilities. This means that whilst fighting in Champion, they will have the strength of an Ultimate, whilst fighting in Ultimate, they will have the strength of a Mega. This is only applicable on THEIR turf. This does not apply at Super Mega, however; there is no stage above Super Mega. Instead, at this level, the lieutenant receives a 50% boost to attack power. Additionally, any threads taking place on a Hakainushi Lieutenant's conquered turf may be entered at any time by said Hakainushi Lieutenant. The Tower/Strength - Valley of Dragons [The Forlorn Tower][/ul]
"Only a line we separate." "Sharpen your guilt like a guillotine."
In an outright stark contrast to Daichi, Barrigan is, at all stages of his digivolution line, a sly individual. His animal cunning manifests itself a skill, almost a sixth sense, which basically serves as a safety net for Daichi. Let's be honest; the boxer isn't exactly the most perceptive of individuals, and his partner's probably got enough savvy for the pair of them to survive. A match made in heaven, eh?
"F*ck you too b****, call the cops, I'mma kill you and them loud-ass mothaf*ckin barkin' dogs!"
Possibly one of Barrigan's most noticeable features is his sardonic nature. Quick not to accuse, but to sarcastically ply individuals with every slightly under-average-intelligence - Daichi included - comment made, he doesn't establish himself as a likeable figure or entity, with constant eyerolling and doubt towards just about everything. "Hyperbolic doubt", as one would call it. The individual who calls out the suicide mission on being the suicide mission; the smart-alec who spends all his time criticising others with no alternatives to offer. Hopelessly condemning and at some points openly mocking, make no mistake, Barrigan's number one aim in life is to shoot everybody and anybody down, for kicks, even the whole rungs-on-the-ladder thing out a touch.
"Vicariously I live while the whole world dies."
One thing that tamer and partner do share is their approach towards battle. Whilst both needlessly ruthless, they prioritise and thankfully understand - lest they would last no time at all - that brute strength is not the key to winning, funnily enough. Barrigan is more skilled than Daichi in understanding the ways of the digital battlefield; with a certain scrutiny and cunning that allows him to, utilising the god-given gift of astonishing common sense, discern weak points in a target's defenses, understand elemental weaknesses and opposites, and know when to use which techniques - it's all about suitability. After you figure out how to take down your target... then you can utterly annihilate them with a deluge of attacks.
"The world is a vampire."
Leading nicely from the last point is a very important facet of Barrigan's personality. He has something that arguably Daichi does not. Common f*cking sense. It seems to be a virtue in the Digital World, having scrutiny, savvy, and above all, common sense. The ability to know when something is a bad idea, when to avoid confrontation over needlessly charging into an army a thousand-strong with just a Tamer and a partner. In keeping with his lancer theme, alongside his general savvy and sardonic nature, Barrigan loves to sarcastically remind people of plain and simple common sense facts. Far from the derpy house-pet-Digimon that wanders into walls and abuses the cutesy disguise given, it's often wondered who of the duo is actually calling the shots (Barrigan would say it's obviously him).
"I whisper in your ear, 'I want to f*cking tear you apart'."
Barrigan maintains a very important ability and character quality that arguably Daichi does not. He can remain level-headed (ironic personality segment quote notwithstanding) even in the most heated of situations. Even when he wants to disembowel someone with a rusty spoon, Barrigan can maintain and keep his cool; even in battle, he hardly ever becomes truly angry; his fighting is more being driven than anything else, or out of a hunger for more power and status - he is, infact, just as egotistical as Daichi. At the end of the day, however, he loves to remind himself that he is in charge of his own emotions, and, again, in contrast to Daichi, who sees only triggers for his unrelenting fury when he looks around, the amount of things that cause Barrigan to become irate he can count on one hand - and he's only got four fingers.
"Work it harder, make it better, do it faster, makes us stronger..."
At the end of the day, though, every entity or individual in the world is pointless without a goal, and this is why Barrigan and Daichi, for all their differences and butting heads, feel as if they have been partnered for a reason. They both want one thing, for better or for worse: power. Like Daichi, Barrigan is insanely power-hungry, perhaps for his pride, like his human counterpart, or perhaps simply wanting power for the sake of having power. Their true goals will likely remain hidden for time still as the pair's journey has not yet even begun.
DIGIVOLUTION
THE DARKNESS INSIDE
The Sly Monster Species: Zurumon Level: Baby Attribute: Virus Type: Slime Families:
Abilities:
- [ OSMOSIS ] - Being a slime or water-based Digimon means that as Zurumon, Barrigan regains health and feels far calmer in water.
Attacks:
- [ POISON BUBBLES ] - Barrigan's only attack as Zurumon manifests as an almost eerie unhinging of its jaw before forcing out - with visible strain - a large, green, putrid bubble. If this strikes any enemy above Fresh-level it will do no damage whatsoever, but to those of the same level as Barrigan, will deal small amounts of damage over time.
Digivolves To - Pagumon
The Pug Monster Species: Pagumon Level: In-Training Attribute: Virus Type: Lesser Families:
Abilities:
- [ OSMOSIS ] - Being a slime or water-based Digimon means that as Pagumon, Barrigan regains health and feels far calmer in water.
- [ BARRY BIG EARS ] - Having large ears, as one would expect, grants not only extra warmth for your face in colder climates, but allows Barrigan to hear at extended distances (up to 200m).
Attacks:
- [ RECKLESS CHARGE ] - Leaping forward, head-first, in an almost admirably adorable manner, Barrigan launches himself at the target. The attack is remarkably well-powered for an In-Training Digimon, but obviously does minimal damage towards Rookies and higher, but stands with a weakness; if Barrigan misses, the force will instead be expelled on, say, the floor, which can be quite damaging to Barrigan.
- [ POISON BUBBLES ] - A higher-speed replica of the attack at the Zurumon stage, Pagumon can launch a stream of up to five high-speed bubbles which, on contact, to anything In-Training or lower cause small amounts of damage over time. The concussive effects of the bubbles are better for a distraction than an actual attack.
Digivolves To - Gazimon
The Eating Monster Species: Gazimon Level: Rookie Attribute: Virus Type: Mammal Families:
Abilities:
- [ NIGHT VISION ] - As a natural mammal predator, Barrigan, as Gazimon, can see perfectly in the dark.
- [ BARRY BIG-EARS ] - Having large ears, as one would expect, grants not only extra warmth for your face in colder climates, but allows Barrigan to hear at extended distances (up to 500m).
Attacks:
- [ TALON LUNGE ] - The Talon Lunge is Barrigan's signature move. Screaming this at the top of his voice, he dives at an enemy, claws of one hand bared, charging towards them. This move is only direct-line, meaning that the Talon Lunge charge will move about fifty feet in a straight line; if the opponent moves, the attack will miss.
- [ SPEED DEMON ] - Speed Demon is a buff that Barrigan can use to enable him to double his speed for two turns with a two turn cooldown. Considering his natural top speed is probably about a 25mph sprint, double this is formidable enough, but not impossible to outrun for higher-level and even faster Rookie digimon.
- [ BAIT THE TRAP ] - Bait the Trap is a defensive manouevre which requires about thirty seconds to set up. If done properly, it means Barrigan establishes a thin trench around a piece of land he stands on in a circular formation, about twice his own width (standing). Utilising his natural ability to do so, he swiftly covers it up, and then gets the attention of a similar-sized Digimon to charge at him, who will then fall into the pit trap (roughly six feet deep), allowing Barrigan to launch an attack or make a swift getaway.
Digivolves To - Devidramon / MadLeomon / Sangloupmon (Armor) / Gaiomon (Biomerge w/ Daichi Kumo) / BanchoLeomon (Biomerge w/ Daichi Kumo)
The Demon Dragon Monster Species: Devidramon Level: Champion Attribute: Virus Type: Dark Dragon Families:
Abilities:
- [ TOUCH OF EVIL ] - All darkness-based attacks aimed at Barrigan whilst in his Devidramon form are 50% weaker.
- [ TOUCH OF FLAME ] - All fire-based attacks aimed at Barrigan whilst in his Devidramon form are 50% weaker.
Attacks:
- [ CRIMSON CLAW ] - The signature Devidramon attack, Barrigan's Crimson Claw is another speed-based high damage attack where Devidramon launches himself at a target, claws bared, and hacks into them as hard as he can.
- [ DEAD EYE ] - As Devidramon, Barrigan's stare is lethal. If the normally-feral Digimon locks its many eyes with a target, sometimes the red orbs may flash; if they do so, the target will not so much be paralysed as be given a pang of shock through the body, causing clammy hands and a strong headache, along with an increased heart rate. These effects last for two turns, and the attack has a one turn cooldown.
- [ HELLFIRE BURST ] - The Hellfire Burst is a rapid-fire projectile attack which launches up to five concentrated balls of scorching deep, ruby flame at a target. Upon touch the flame causes typical burning damage, releasing a small shockwave on impact (no more than about three or four metres). If four or five fireballs are launched, there is a one turn cooldown.
- [ BEAST OF BURDEN ] - Beast of Burden is a sort of pseudo-mode change which lasts for three turns, with a three turn cooldown afterwards. First thing to note is this technique grounds Barrigan - he cannot fly whilst it's in use. However, his land speed is still formidable, and the strength of all his attacks are doubled - except for Dead Eye, the effects of which last one turn longer than usual. During Beast of Burden, Barrigan also gains the ability to launch long, continual, linear red beams of arcane energy from his mouth, which make a shrill whining sound when emitted, which are subsequently known as "Arcana Rays".
Digivolves To - Cyberdramon / Gigadramon (Armor) / Dragomon (DNA w/ Chrysalimon) / Grimmon (DNA w/ Mechafangmon)
The Blood Wolf Monster Species: Sangloupmon Level: Armor Champion (Digimental of Spite) Attribute: Virus Type: Demon Beast Families:
Abilities:
- [ BLOODHOUND ] – Barrigan’s natural scent-tracking abilities gain a grand increase as Sangloupmon; by sniffing the scent, or, even, any residual blood or fluid left behind, he can sense the direction and placement (within 48 hours) and type and level (within 24 hours) of a Digimon.
- [ ARMOUR PLATING ] – As Sangloupmon, Barrigan gains a slew of armour plates across a majority of his body, some even utilised as sub-dermal implants beneath its wiry purple fur. Though far from perfect, this passive ability does grant a 50% resistance to physical damage of all attacks Champion-tier and below.
Attacks:
- [ TERROR FANG ] – Barrigan’s base and signature move in this form, Terror Fang is a charge-based melee attack wherein the Digimon launches himself at any enemy with a sprint of up to 200m, full burst, and slams his jaws into them. This bite is typically aimed at a critical point and, for any Digimon Champion and lower (or equivalent), will cause damage over time for the next two posts.
- [ PORYPHORIC HEMOPHILIA ] – Also known as “The Vampire’s Disease”, Poryphoric Hemophilia is in this instance less a blight and more a blessing. By conveying a portion of its energies, Barrigan can actually buff a nearby friendly enemy and double their speed and strength for three turns. This ability cannot be used on himself and has a two post cooldown.
- [ IMMOBILISING HOWL ] – A deathly shriek to the heavens, the Immobilising Howl has a range of up to 100 metres, and will cause temporary paralysis on all Digimon under Mega level for a concordant amount of turns – Ultimates and equivalent will only be effected for one, maximum, Champions and equivalent for two, maximum, and Rookies, equivalent, and below, for three, maximum. This can be shaken away with extreme indomitable will and is less effective on Virus-attribute Digimon – a Virus Ultimate may not be shaken at all. This ability has a three post cooldown.
- [ DOPPELGANGER ] – Using another howl, Barrigan moves backwards and conjures up to four identical clones of himself which move at the same speed. These clones cannot attack, and for the duration of the attack, neither can Barrigan. Natural dissipation of energies will cause them to dissipate after four turns, but after two or three strikes, each will dissipate themselves. This attack is normally used to disorient an enemy and has a two post cooldown.
Digivolves To - Cyberdramon / Gigadramon (Armor)
The Cybernetic Dragon Monster Species: Cyberdramon Level: Ultimate Attribute: Virus Type: Cyborg Families:
Abilities:
- [ RUBBER ARMOUR ] - Due to his natural rubber armour, Barrigan, as Cyberdramon, is completely immune to electrical damage. However, the concussive effects of electrical-based attacks will still deal damage, as will the heat proximity.
- [ STEADFAST ] - Due to the nature of his biology, as Cyberdramon, Barrigan can stay standing through rain, storm, pretty much anything. It takes a lot of concussive energy - or infact, any form of energy - to knock him to the floor.
Attacks:
- [ DESOLATION CLAW ] - The Desolation Claw is Barrigan's default move as Cyberdramon. A three-slash combination move with an empowered, glowing talon, the first aimed at the target's midsection, the second aimed as a sweeping low blow, and the third an uppercut.
- [ CRESCENT CUTTER ] - The blades on Barrigan's elbows glow an eerie light blue, and he crosses them in front of his chest. Once charged, with a full downward stroke of each arm, Barrigan can launch up to three, glowing blue crescent-shaped energy discs - moving at around a hundred miles per hour - from each arm, so six total. Each hits the target with a small AoE shockwave of about five metres. The blades are launched in rapid succession and can be used to dispose of multiple targets - or engage multiple targets - swiftly.
- [ CYBER EQUALISER ] - Cyber Equaliser causes one of Barrigan's arms to lock into place, outstretched, and the hand opens, revealing a small, circular port. This circular port then causes his fingers and claws to - rather creepily fold back on themselves, til the port is at the very end of the arm, which then actually turns into an automatic, repeating energy blaster, launching three-round bursts of blue projectile energy. The Cyber Equaliser is a weapon which is engaged for three turns, during which all of his other hand-based attacks are halved in strength due to there only being one arm - e.g. Crescent Cutter would only launch a max of 3 blades, Desolation Claw would be half strength, and the Cyber Equaliser has a two turn cooldown.
- [ ORBITAL STRIKE ] - The Orbital Strike is a stunning technique. To begin with, utilising supernatural strength befitting an Ultimate-level Digimon, Barrigan launches himself in the sky, vanishing in movements. Seemingly defying gravity, just as he reaches the apex of his jump, he spins and points himself at a target, head-first, amassing force, velocity, and pressure in a terrifying downward assault, striking into an enemy and unleashing a huge concussive shockwave of about fifty metres, pure physical and concussive damage. This attack has a one post cooldown.
- [ APEX PREDATOR ] - Enabling the Apex Predator mode is a tactical manoeuvre. It lasts for three turns, with a two turn cooldown. The primary drawback is that ranged attacks become unusable; Cyber Equaliser and Crescent Cutter become obsolete for three turns. It does, however, double Barrigan's speed/agility and strength whilst halving his defense, turning him into a glass cannon for three turns, and gives him the tracking abilities that Barrigan is renowned for, exemplifying the "Natural Hunter" scent-following trait.
Digivolves To - Darkdramon / ChaosGallantmon (DNA w/ Infermon) / GranLocomon (DNA w/ MetalTyrannomon X)
The Giga Dragon Monster Species: Gigadramon Level: Armor Ultimate (Digimental of Wrath) Attribute: Virus Type: Cyborg Families:
Abilities:
- [ SUBDERMAL IMPLANTS ] – Gigadramon’s subdermal implants are small sheets of metal interlocking beneath his skill. As such, being part of the Metal Empire, he gains an immunity to all lingering poisons and a 50% resistance to concussive and fire-based attacks.
- [ TARGETING SYSTEM ] – Gigadramon, much like many other cyborg Digimon in Hakainushi, has updated targeting protocols within his bio-mechanical state which allow him to target attacks with nigh-on perfection (note; he can't "autohit", just removes any chance of organic aiming error). The secondary effect of this system is possibly the most beneficial, allowing him to discern a Digimon’s species, level, and appropriate threat within 500m, provided they are visible.
Attacks:
- [ GENOCIDE GEAR ] – Barrigan opens one of his hands and unleashes a continual linear burst of non-elemental energy. This energy laser has enough pressure and concussive force behind it to knock back smaller Digimon, and can deal extreme heat damage, able to melt through metal, if pinpointed. The beam can be maintained for as long as is necessary – read: as for as long as Barrigan has energy to do so.
- [ OVERPRESSURE ] – Overpressure is a move whereby Barrigan utilises Gigadramon’s cannons now not to launch projectiles, but instead to craft and exert a high-pressure field over a small area. This high-pressure field lasts in a spherical radius of up to 100m and has two direct uses. If spread out over two turns, any Digimon within will have their movement speed halved and find it difficult, though not impossible, to move or attack. If used in a single turn, the Overpressure field will simply cause pressure and gravity-based non-elemental damage which is essentially just direct force. Either way, the attack has a two-post cooldown.
- [ PROCESSOR RAMPART ] – Barrigan grounds himself for the duration of this attack, which is anywhere from three to five turns. Pulling Gigadramon’s wings around him and expanding them, Barrigan creates a full, three hundred and sixty degree, thick, Digizoid shield around his body, wherein he becomes impervious to all physical damage and gains a 50% resistance to magical damage. Whilst inside the rampart, he cannot move or attack, but slowly regains energy and health. However, when the Rampart is triggered, it cannot be used for any less than three turns, which means Barrigan will be immobilised for that amount of time minimum. The technique has a three-post cooldown.
- [ GUILTY CLAW ] – Barrigan launches himself at an enemy in a high-speed sprint attack. Due to Gigadramon’s ability to fly, this is an omnidirectional charge with a limit of up to two-hundred metres, after which the ability will fade. He charges his claw with a surge of electrical energy, and upon contact, drives the claw into a foe, dissipating the electrical energy in tandem with a high-strength physical impact. If charged for one post beforehand, Guilty Claw will, alongside doing electrical and physical damage, cause paralysis for two posts. If charged, this attack has a one post cooldown.
- [ SUNBURST SALVO ] – Barrigan raises himself to a point of strategic opportunity, typically high above his targets, and folds back the claws on both of his arms to reveal two missile ports. From these he can fire up to three missiles from each hand, a multiple of up to three times of each hand, for a total of eighteen missiles. These missiles are small, and themselves only deal moderate amounts of explosive damage over an area, but can be pinpoint-targeted using Barrigan’s targeting protocols. Each separate barrage can be targeted at a different point, and the three missiles in a cluster can split apart and altogether strike up to eighteen different points. They have a small range of AoE splash damage (maybe five metres each), and if over six missiles are fired, this attack has a one post cooldown, if over twelve are fired, then two post cooldown, and finally, if the full eighteen are launched, then a three post cooldown. Note that the only number of missiles that can be fired are either three, six, nine, twelve, fifteen, or eighteen - the attack's properties of burst fire cannot be disabled.
Digivolves To - Darkdramon
The Dark Dragon Monster Species: Darkdramon Level: Mega Attribute: Virus Type: Cyborg Families:
Abilities:
- [ CHROME DIGIZOID ] - As a material, Chrome Digizoid is highly resilient, especially towards typical physical damage. As Darkdramon, Barrigan gains a 25% resistance to all physical damage.
- [ DARK FLUCTUATION ] - When utilising the Shadow Aegis attack, due to the nature of the forcefield's origin as being made from dark matter, the last ability type to strike the shield, Darkdramon will gain a 50% resilience to, but also a 50% weakness to any opposites. For example; if the Aegis is struck by a fire attack, Darkdramon will gain a 50% resistance to all fire damage, but a 50% weakness to all water damage.
Attacks:
- [ STYGIAN PULSE ] - Barrigan's signature attack as Darkdramon, the Stygian Pulse, is a charged release of pure, dark energy. Barrigan raises his fist, clenches and charges it, and then releases it, launching a conical burst of dark matter energy which reaches about ten metres in diameter, in a full ninety-degree cone out from where his hand launches the attack.
- [ GIGA IMPACT ] - Using the Gigastick Lance mounted to his right hand, Barrigan charges himself with innate energy and launches his form upon a target utilising his wings for extreme speed, before striking them with the Lance. If enough energy is charged beforehand - a full post charge time - Barrigan can choose to unleash a burst of concussive energy which, on impact, will launch the target backwards.
- [ SHADOW AEGIS ] - The Shadow Aegis is a one-hundred and eighty degree forcefield which Barrigan can project around himself and two other Digimon adjacent for up to four turns. The field can be slowly turned to avoid flanking, and Barrigan can push or pull it. Whilst raised, Barrigan cannot attack - and any high-tier attack from a Mega, Super Mega, or Biomerge-level Digimon will cause it to dissipate, with a cooldown equal to the number of turns the shield was maintained for. It also links into one of Barrigan's passive abilities - see above.
- [ GRAVITY FISSURE ] - Gravity Fissure is a non-chargeable ability which requires Barrigan to stomp the ground, opening up a crag, within which there is an extremely strong gravity well powered by dark matter. The Gravity Fissure will remain active for three turns, the first of which there will be no gravitational pull towards, the second there will be mid-strong gravitational pull towards, and the third there will be high gravitational pull towards. On the fourth turn, irrespective of who or what is pulled towards - or even unfortunately deep into - the fissure, the gravity well within will detonate, releasing a 50 metre shockwave of pure dark energy. Those closer to the gravity well will experience more serious damage. This attack has a two post cooldown.
- [ UMBRA TEMPEST ] - The Umbra Tempest requires a single post charge and lasts for three to five posts with a two to four post cooldown. During Umbra Tempest, Barrigan's energy "wings" will turn from white to a deep purple colour and his speed will double. All of his darkness-based attacks will also double in strength, and all attacks which could be imbued with dark or dark matter energy - from unnamed strikes to Giga Impact - will now be charged with dark energy by default - but not doubled. Shadow Aegis will also be usable for now up to six turns at higher potency, but any Ultimate or Mega-strength light-based attack will dissipate it immediately. Barrigan will not lower his normal defense, but light-based attacks will now do double damage.
- [ TENEBRA ] - Tenebra may only be used during the Umbra Tempest mode. At any random point, Barrigan will drop to the floor, full his knees inwards, and begin to glow purple, collecting energy visibly. If prompted or assaulted he will do nothing, simply responding with "DETONATION IMMINENT." Any damage done unto Barrigan during the Umbra Tempest or Tenebra state will have been absorbed and stored - still having done damage. After two posts excluding the trigger, Barrigan glowing stronger and stronger with each passing turn, amassing more and more dark matter energy, there will begin a countdown in a robotic voice from Barrigan's core. When the countdown reaches zero, a wave of pulsating dark matter energy will unleash itself, from a one hundred to three hundred metre radius dependent upon how much damage Barrigan has taken during the Umbra Tempest and Tenebra states. This requires a one post recovery stage during which no offensive attacks may be used and may only be used once per thread.
Digivolves To - Gaiomon (Biomerge w/ Daichi Kumo), Daemon (DNA w/ Diaboromon), Tactimon (DNA w/ Chaosdramon X)
The Victory Song King Monster Species: Gaiomon Level: Biomerge / Super Mega Attribute: Virus Type: Dragon Man Families:
Abilities:
- [ BLACK SAMURAI ] - Whilst fighting under cover of night, Gaiomon amasses a full resistance to all dark-based attacks, whilst experiencing a 50% weakness to those originating from light energies.
- [ TRUE SWORDSMAN ] - When duelling with a single enemy that uses any bladed or edged weapon, Gaiomon experiences a 50% boost to physical damage.
- [ DRAMON BREAKER ] - Being as he carries a blade derived from other Greymons' Dramon Breaker swords, Gaiomon experiences double damage with any sword-based attacks - Katana or Odachi stance - against Digimon with the -dramon suffix in their name.
Attacks:
- [ STANCE CHANGE ] - The basis of all of Gaiomon's abilities in this form, the Stance Change move requires the choice between two basic stances. Stance change must be used when first moving into the Gaiomon stage, and the choices are either "Katana" or "Odachi". In "Katana", Gaiomon draws his two typical Kikurin blades, Chrysanthemum and Phosphorus, and in "Odachi", the two blades are placed together to create an impossibly large greatsword, the Rinkageki. Stat changes in the "Katana" stance are 150% strength and speed for 50% defense, and in the "Odachi" stance are 150% strength and defense for 50% speed.
- [ KATANA: FUSION BLADES ] - Only usable during the "Katana" stance. Using the Kikurin, Gaiomon traces complex and seemingly pointless patterns through the air or across an enemy's body, barely lightly grazing them. However, when slashing, the patterns carved leave behind beautiful and iridescent dark matter light imprints, normally carved into a specific design or a kanji character. Gaiomon then leaps away from the charged light rings, and slams the blades' pommels into himself, detonating all of the light trails at once. Warning; these light trails do stick to any enemy they may be carved upon.
- [ KATANA: HAND OF THE MARTYR ] - Only usable during the "Katana" stance. Hand of the Martyr requires the drawing of a large oval in the air utilising the Kikurin. When this is done, slamming the points of the blades into the oval and stretching them causes the oval, which is, infact, an interdimensional portal, to open, launching a continual beam of dark matter energy from the other side of the portal for as long as it can be maintained, drawing directly from Gaiomon's energy pools.
- [ KATANA: JERICHO ] - Only usable during the "Katana" stance. Gaiomon uses the bulk of his energy during Jericho by raising his Kikurin, which seemingly does nothing to begin with. But in this spectral arena, in the vicinity of Gaiomon, the skies seem to darken and thunder rumbles in the distance. Suddenly, around him, appear ghost-like spectral copy-blades of the Kikurin. They hover in the air, hundreds, thousands even, around and behind Gaiomon, mimicking the very position of the way the Dragon Man Samurai holds the blades. When he points the two blades towards an enemy, they too all point. And when he raises them upwards and strikes downwards, so help you God for there's an army of spectral blades coming your way and ready to utterly obliterate you. Each of these blades obviously do little damage and dissipate on hit, but combined with their collective concussive energy and the sheer multitude of the fact that thousands of spectral swords are being launched over a single area, well, it's a formidable attack, to say the least. Requires one post charge time, and has a three post cooldown.
- [ ODACHI: GAIA REACTOR ] - Only usable during the "Odachi" stance. Gaia Reactor is one of Gaiomon's base abilities, wherein he holds up his blade, and draws in energy into his Rinkageki through the point. Releasing the energy results in the expulsion of a pure, dark-matter based dark energy shockwave of up to 100m, engulfing and obliterating lower-level Digimon.
- [ ODACHI: DEATH'S SCYTHE ] - Only usable during the "Odachi" stance. Death's Scythe involves Gaiomon planting his blade into the ground, seemingly shearing through the earth beneath, ripping through the very crust of the globe, and pushing into something despicable and orange which lurches beneath. As he resists, the blade seems to slip from his grasp, and Gaiomon leaps backwards - just in time, before a huge, flaming, spectral mimicry of the Rinkageki, maybe fifty feet long and ten feet wide, three or four times the height of Gaiomon himself, bursts back through the split in the globe's crust, and hovers in the air beautifully, waiting for Gaiomon to reach forward and reclaim the weapon; no longer Rinkageki - this is Death's Scythe. The Death's Scythe mode lasts for three turns, and on the third, ends with a grand, downward slam into the opponent, optionally dragging them back down through a hole in the earth, through what can probably only be described as immense and immeasurable pain, before regurgitating them, and the original Rinkageki, which returns to its master once more. Death's Scythe has a three turn cooldown.
- [ ODACHI: HADES ] - Only usable during the "Odachi" stance. Hades is the final assault of the Odachi stance, which requires Gaiomon cast the blade aside and reach down into the crust of the surface with his bare hands, digging up moments later what appears to be an impossibly large set of wrought, iron double gates. Etched with biblical and demonic imagery, it has a certain attraction to it; infact, a fully gravitational pull, wherein Gaiomon will stand behind it, and with a single lunge, push the Rinkageki into the crack between the two gates. On the other side, the doors will open, and any enemies standing there will be stuck by the quantum-physics defying strike of the Rinkageki emerging through at a thousand separate times across a thousand separate dimensions, a thousand separate spaces and times, a thousand spectral Rinkageki blades shearing across the fabric of the space-time continuum to strike through this dimensional gate with a condemning universality to it all - no-one escapes true damnation. This attack has a five post cooldown but no charge time.

DIGIVOLUTION
THE BEAST WITHIN
The Mad Lion Monster Species: MadLeomon Level: Champion (Not Purchased) Attribute: Virus Type: Undead Families:
Abilities:
- [ A THOUSAND FANGS ] - As MadLeomon, Barrigan is privy to the ability to, at will, switch back and forth into "Armed Mode". This essentially gives MadLeomon a chainsaw and a big-ass gauntlet. Said chainsaw modifies all of his attacks; see below for the additional descriptions. Whilst in Armed Mode, for 50% boosts to both his physical strength and agility, MadLeomon receives a 50% hit to his mental and physical defense.
- [ UNSTOPPABLE WRATH ] - In his utterly irascible state, it should be known that MadLeomon's wrath stops him from being anything but full-out angry. Whilst this has its obvious detrimental points, alongside eternal battle charge, it also makes him immune to any debuffs that would target, restrict, or lower his offence.
Attacks:
- [ FIST OF THE MAD KING ] - Fist of the Mad King is Barrigan's default and signature attack in the MadLeomon form. As Leomon would do, he punches the air, creating an ephemeral fist of purple energy, which propels itself towards the opponent at frightening speed, elementally darkness and energy-based. Optionally, he follows this up by actually punching them. Armed Mode: Fist of the Mad King, in Armed Mode, is instead a move where Barrigan charges his chainsaw arm with the same ephemeral purple energy, revs it in a rather fearsome manner a few times, before launching himself at the enemy with a powerful, charged culmination of a physical strike and an energy-laced blade.
- [ MIGHTY JUNGLE ] - The multiple "belt loops" on each of Barrigan's arms as MadLeomon unfurl and shoot towards the enemy. Two from each arm launch themselves at the enemy at colossal speed, and attempt to coil around them. If the attack lands, the enemies are bound for 2 posts with a 1 post cooldown. Armed Mode: The attack is identical, except it now launches six chains, as opposed to four, from the metal gauntlet on his arm. This means Barrigan can now target up to two enemies, and because the chains are longer, they bind for 3 postss with a 2 post cooldown.
- [ THE LION SLEEPS TONIGHT ] - Barrigan pounds his gratuitously large fists against the ground, causing an outwards ground-based concussive shockwave - powerful as it is, usually able to knock down most Digimon smaller than him with ease - that reaches a radius of 50m, usually utilised as a crowd control tactic. Any Champion and lower Digimon struck by it are stunned for 1 post. Armed Mode: Instead of a shockwave, Barrigan jams his chainsaw into the ground, and revs it tremendously, the ground beginning to quake. He will target one enemy, and with a short window of opportunity to dodge, the ground will start to split in a line towards them, before the ground beneath them launches upwards in a jagged 10-metre high spike, only to collapse moments later.
- [ LIONHEART ] - Barrigan draws his claw across a friend's - or his own - forehead, and mutters the word "Simba...", Swahili for lion. The targeted Digimon will receive double strength and speed for two posts. This attack has a one post cooldown. Armed Mode: Instead of using his claw, Barrigan uses his chainsaw, and draws a glowing red-purple "X" across an enemy's midsection. This energy conflagration lingers for two posts unless dispelled dealing minimal damage for both and halves strength and speed with a one post cooldown.
Digivolves To - KaiserLeomon
The Emperor Lion Monster Species: KaiserLeomon (JagerLoweemon) Level: Ultimate (Not Purchased) Attribute: Virus Type: Cyborg Families:
Abilities:
- [ EBONY DIGIZOID ] - Ebony Digizoid is a defensive passive skill that, whilst Barrigan takes on the form of KaiserLeomon, lowers the damage he receives from physical damage and darkness-based damage by 50%.
- [ EMINENCE OF THE KAISER ] - Due to his identity as the "Emperor Lion Monster", Barrigan, as the eminent and glorious KaiserLeomon, gains a stackable 20% speed increase each time an attack strikes him, with an upper limit of 100%.
Attacks:
- [ JAEGER ] - Barrigan lines up KaiserLeomon's shoulder cannons to target an enemy and unleashes a fearsome barrage of non-elemental rounds, fully automatic and unrelentless in a strafe of an up-to-180 degree arc in front of him.
- [ ZERSTORER ] - Another practically simple technique which involves Barrigan charging at the enemy in the form of a full-body slam against them. However, with one post charge time, Barrigan covers himself in iridescent purple non-elemental energy and throws himself at the target, dealing slightly more damage, energy-based, and the ability to stun.
- [ NACHT ] - Barrigan fires his cannons up into the air, launching two charged energy balls. These go upwards about twenty metres, before flattening and spreading out to cover a sphere of around a 200 metre radius, with Barrigan's original position as the epicentre. Everything within his half-sphere is shrouded in complete and utter darkness, both friend and foe having their vision obscured, for four posts. Barrigan can, provided he remains within the sphere, openly see through the darkness; some enemies may also be able to do so, so whilst they are within the sphere, their strength and speed is halved. As such, this attack has a two post cooldown.
- [ KAISER ] - Barrigan, deigning it important to gain tactical superiority, "sits down" - envision the way a dog would - and roars, buffing himself. For one to three posts he has double defense and double attack strength in exchange for being completely immobilised. His cannons can each spin in almost full 270-degree arcs, together able to cover every area around him, now able to separately use the Jaeger, Vorbei, and Nacht attacks, as well as launch "Emperor Lances", similar to Devidramon's "Arcana Rays", long, perforating purple linear energy bursts.
[li] [ VORBEI ] - In his finisher, Barrigan, as KaiserLeomon, locks onto an enemy, or a few of them, and charges energy in his cannons, as well as his mouth, unhinging to an unsettling degree and readying. When he's done so, he releases it and launches from all three cannons, up to five from each, a series of energy grenades, anywhere from three to fifteen total. Whilst they're not homing, they are naturally imbued with a tendency to identify Digicores, which means that if they so much as touch another Digimon (or Spirit User), they will stick to them in the same manner semtex grenades or napalm would and cannot be removed unless placed onto another Digital signature. To stop this from being a grenade spam move, if they all detonate same in the same post, the move has a one post cooldown, but the grenades can also be triggered to explode next post, irrespective of where they land. Each energy grenade is purple-black in colour and explodes with a spherical radius of about ten metres. [/li][/ul] Digivolves To - SaberLeomon The Sabre Tooth Lion MonsterSpecies: SaberLeomon Level: Mega (Not Purchased)Attribute: Virus Type: Ancient Beast Families: Abilities:
- [ GUARDIAN OF NATURE ] - As a self-proclaimed lord of the jungle and forested territories, SaberLeomon takes half as much damage from all Digimon from the "Nature Spirits" and "Jungle Troopers" families.
- [ UNSHACKLED BEAST ] - Barrigan has released the beast within; and now, as SaberLeomon, the beast is beyond free. The king of speed, faster than your average sports car, beneath the open blue Digital sky without obstacles, SaberLeomon can reach double speed over time, and on completely flat land strips over 200 metres in length, can actually hit triple speed after running to and beyond that length.
Attacks:
- [ TWINCLAW ARC ] - Charging his claws with non-elemental energy for a split-second, Barrigan rears backwards, and pulls his claws outwards, carving three slash-shaped energy beams through the air with each, all six launching towards the enemy, each causing a small, five metre energy shockwave on impact.
- [ INFINITY CRUSHER ] - Barrigan hardens all the fur on his body and propels himself at a target with breakneck speed, attempting to launch himself into or sometimes onto them with his incredible acceleration and natural jumping ability. If it connects, will stun the target for one post, leaving them unable to move or attack.
- [ LION'S PRIDE ] - With a roar to the sky, Barrigan raises three ethereal, incorporeal, ghost-like MadLeomon. These are of Champion-level and strength, with access to the same skills as his original MadLeomon form (with exception to accessing Armed Mode). They have slightly lower constitution, and after four posts they will naturally dissipate. This attack has a one post cooldown.
- [ CALL OF THE WILD ] - Unleashing a great and terrible roar which lasts for what feels like an eternity, around Barrigan the ground begins to quiver and shake. Both aerial and ground-based, a shockwave of arc three-hundred and sixty degrees bursts out from around him in a radius of one hundred metres. Anyone caught in this shockwave will be forced to the edge of it and stunned for one post. Alongside this, if Call of the Wild is charged for one post, during which time Barrigan may still attack so long as he does not open his mouth or speak, the radius will be increased to two hundred metres, and all Mega and lower Digimon belonging to the Nature Spirits of Jungle Troopers families will be compelled to fight alongside for two posts.
- [ MOMENTUM ] - Momentum is triggered by a short roar. When it is, it can last from anywhere from three to five posts, and may be used once per thread. Whilst Momentum is enabled, multiple things occur; Barrigan experiences double speed, a shimmering iridescence attaches itself to his fur, charging all attacks with 150% non-elemental energy damage, adding said damage TO solely physical or non-damaging attacks, and his fur itself hardens, granting him double defense against physical attacks.
- [ MILLION ROAR ] - Million Roar may only be used during the Momentum mode. Vacating the capacity of his lungs first, Barrigan unleashes a great and harrowing roar. What occurs next depends on how many targets there are within three hundred metres; if there are over 3, a spectral energy lion - essentially a translucent outline of Barrigan as his SaberLeomon stage - will launch outwards at each target (up to six, with any "leftover" lions being launched at one or two extra enemies at Barrigan's discretion) and charge them. The charges will deal energy damage, the same amount as a Mega's standard, normal, non-finisher move, and they will only attempt to strike once. If there are 3 targets, each target will be ambushed by two lions. If there are 2, each target will be ambushed by three lions. Finally, if there is only 1 target, all six lions will launch themselves at the single enemy. These targets can be struck, which will push them back, but under no circumstances can they be dissipated, merely struck and reformed, as they are beings of pure energy. In the next post, all lions will force themselves back into Barrigan's body, charging him up until the iridescent glow of Momentum becomes glimmering and overpowering, then with a second, cacophonous, and completely dominating roar, unleashes all the energy of the lions outwards in a shockwave spanning a two hundred metre radius in every direction out from him. If no damage is done to the lions and they have done no damage to Barrigan's targets, the shockwave will be purely concussive, pushing anything caught in it to the edge and knocking them a little further; but any damage done to the lions or by the lions to the targets will be repaid threefold in the power of the shockwave. This attack will usually revert Barrigan back to his KaiserLeomon, MadLeomon, or Gazimon stage, and as part of Momentum, may only be used once per thread.
Digivolves To - BanchoLeomon (Biomerge w/ Daichi Kumo) The Delinquent Lion MonsterSpecies: BanchoLeomon Level: Biomerge / Super Mega (Not Purchased)Attribute: Virus Type: Beast Man Families: Abilities:
- [ GAKU-RAN ] - The leather coat sheathed around BanchoLeomon's back is rumoured to give him legendary defense against physical attacks. This is true; if BanchoLeomon shrouds himself with the unbreakable Gaku-Ran, any purely physical attacks launched towards it will be nullified. Elemental damage will still pass through, as will any form of energy attack, and keep in mind this is only if BanchoLeomon can pull the coat around the targeted area quickly enough.
- [ THE UNORTHODOX ] - As most weapons of its size are utilised with a shield of some variety, BanchoLeomon can in this form freely switch between holding his Dankon one-handed, allowing him to be more agile and grant double speed, or two-handed, which will double strength.
- [ HONOURED IN HEAVEN ] - Upon BanchoLeomon's Gaku-Ran, there is an inscription as follows: "Tenjou tenga yuiga dokuson", or "I alone am honoured in heaven and on earth." Most are honoured on Earth at the the point BanchoLeomon has reached, the natural tier of Super Mega level, but the inscription is literal, too, granting him 25% extra defense whilst fighting on any turf with natural earth beneath his feet. However, being honoured in heaven is another thing completely, and due to his legendary status as the rebel samurai, additionally, BanchoLeomon takes 50% less damage from any angelic or Virus Busters Digimon.
- [ ISOMETRICALLY TRIANGULAR ] - Upon his whim, BanchoLeomon may snap his fingers and produce out of a sheer ball of combustible fighting spirit a pair of impossibly triangular and isometrically perfect orange sunglasses, like this, donning them to increase his charisma, causing many individuals to swoon helplessly at his feet, and above all else, help him see in periods of intense sunlight.
Attacks:
- [ DEVA ] - Launching himself at the enemy, BanchoLeomon prepares a salvo of unrelenting punches, up to twenty-five without cease, each laced with the inextinguishable fire of his impervious and persistent fighting spirit.
- [ ASURA ] - Carving through the air with the Dankon, BanchoLeomon actually allows himself to shear through time and space with a single slash. The tip of the blade disappears through the fabric of the Digital World, and like the asura, the demigods of Buddhist lore, angry, the slash appears instead four times at once on each of the target Digimon's sides, no longer physical but instead energy-based.
- [ NIRAYA ] - Launching a grand conflagration of energy and fighting spirit out from his body with the Dankon as the channel, suddenly, everything within one hundred and fifty metres of BanchoLeomon becomes lit aflame. This flame is not simply heat-based, however, more based of spirit and energy, meaning that any Digimon immune to the licks of the fire will not so much be to the presence of this much power centred in one place. Any enemy Digimon will take continuous damage whilst within the field for the four turns Niraya is active, and any allied Digimon, including BanchoLeomon, within Niraya, will experience double speed, strength, and defense for that time, with a two post cooldown.
- [ VINNANA ] - Vinnana locks onto a single Digimon on the field. Launching a burst of light around the pair of them, it quickly creates and covers a solid, though eerie, energy sphere around the pair of them, opaque to the outside and completely impregnable. This light creates a half-sphere arena of radius 200 metres, which may have a maximum of two occupants, including BanchoLeomon. This is where things get fun; the light begins to encroach upon the floor, not harmfully, and upon it BanchoLeomon begins to project haunting and solicited memories of the target, or imposing and morale-boosting thoughts of his own, creating a harrowing and hallucinogenic mental construct. This continues for four posts (including the post in which it's triggered) with Vinnana having a two post cooldown, during which time neither BanchoLeomon nor his fellow duelist may leave the Vinnana-created arena, but may continue to fight. Any damage dealt to one another within the arena will be sustained when the Vinnana field goes down; it's still in the real world, no matter how much it may feel that that is not the case.
- [ SAMSARA ] - Samsara requires BanchoLeomon to charge headfirst into - or in close proximity to - a group of enemies. At each of them he can see, up to ten, he will launch a "Spirit Tether", a long, energy-based flaming chain tipped with a kunai, towards them, which will do minimal damage to them but tether them to BanchoLeomon for the duration of the attack. He will then begin spinning, and any objects within a hundred metre radius, thanks to the centrifugal force, will be sucked into what is essentially a tornado of explosive energy he creates, slowly drawing the enemies tethered - and those not tethered, thanks to the sheer pull of the spinning - closer and closer, the Gaku-Ran flailing around him. At one point he will snap his fingers, and at his feet, the ground will begin to start inexplicably burning, before he stops, having drawn in all the centrifugal force, and then launching it outwards in a hundred metre radial 360 degree concussive shockwave, all the centrifugally-separated oxygen and hydrogen igniting in a series of small explosions as they go.
- [ NIRVANA ] - BanchoLeomon steps backwards, and dons his impossibly triangular sunglasses, cracking a smile and removing his small blade of grass from his mouth, letting it fly away into nature once more. Once distance enough is maintained, he will prop his sunglasses up and snap his fingers; and from all around him, identical, stoic, unspeaking clones will appear. A full ninety-nine of them, crafted of incredulous burning fighting spirit, taking on the appearance of orange flame. A hundred lions man the battlefield, and as BanchoLeomon stands tall, his hands behind his back, for the next two posts, each of these clones, only able to withstand a single attack from an enemy, will tactically assault them with a single strike each. After struck or when striking, the energy they are created of will dissipate, and launch itself back into BanchoLeomon, still standing strong, sunglasses glistening. Over the period of these two posts he will begin to amass a huge and grandiose flaming aura around him, similar to his Burst Mode. At the end of these two posts, he will unleash a sharp shout of "Combust!", when they will all reform into him, giving him a huge, burning aura, when he will then lower his blade as a medium, begin to wave it, and channel the souls of all ninety-nine clones into his Dankon, creating a huge, ephemeral, flaming blade, with which he will slash once, beating it against the ground in a great slam, targeting the enemy and igniting the very ground they stand upon in a huge shockwave of combustible passion and ignited fighting spirit. Three posts cooldown, and may not be used in the same thread as Otokogi.
- [ OTOKOGI: THOUSAND BLADES ] - Raising his Dankon, BanchoLeomon draws as much energy as is monstrously possible into his sword, presumably whilst giving a chant about chivalry and defense. He will then lower it, and begin to spin it as fast as he can around him in a tai chi-like style, before lowering it into the ground, stabbing it through the floor, engulfing the battlefield in a flash of blinding light. When the eyes of those around open to behold what has occurred, there stands BanchoLeomon, grasping tight his blade, with nine hundred and ninety nine flaming Dankons constructed of fighting spirit and energy hovering outwardly in a three hundred and sixty degree radius. He finishes his undoubtedly hammy speech about brotherhood, love, chivalry, whatsoever, and snaps his fingers, slashing the Dankon through the air, and casting the flame swords outwards. These blades do not stop until they jam into something solid; at which point they will completely dissipate. They do not home in on targets, simply en masse launch at them. When they do strike, they exercise a sort of IFF function; if a friend is struck, for each blade, they will have 10% of their health restored, and receive a 20% boost to attack, speed, and defense. Every enemy struck will receive 25% of a normal attack with the regular, metal Dankon, both the ephemeral physical damage and the energy-based damage of the "flame", similarly to Niraya, not actually flame. Not all 999 swords have to be launched at once, either; they are launched in waves, the first untargeted, and after that, the second and beyond beginning to target. The attack can take as long as three posts to execute fully, including the trigger, and has a three post cooldown. May not be used in the same thread as Nirvana.

MERCENARY DOSSIERPENCE
"Now this this is one of them occasions..."
Mercenary’s Name: Curtis "99 Pence" Marshall Andre (Not Purchased) Nicknames: "99 Pence", "99 Bulletz", "99 Chainz", "Big V" (during his underground days), "Rap King of Terminus", "Beatdropper", "Lazer Beatz", "Swizz Vee", and the most common one, "Pence". Default Form: Veemon Gender: Male Alignment: Chaotic Dumbass Speech: Hotpink
"When a Digi's not doin it right..."
"Versace Versace Versace Versace Versace."Pence is a hopeless idiot. Eternally Rookie-level and constantly seeming to get on everyone else's nerves, he seems to be totally unable to surpass or reach any expectation that comes to him. Having first happened upon Daichi and Barrigan during one of their expeditions to their conquered quarry, the Valley of Dragons, you can imagine that it was much to their chagrin that this was the first Digimon that wanted to latch on to them and demand that they were now a "posse". Talking in a manner one could only expect from a Detroit gangster renowned for the highest levels of idiocy a human - or Digimon - can muster, trust me when I say, there is a time and a place for Pence to show up on your metaphorical doorstep; that would be "never" and "not at all". The Victorious Monster Species: Veemon Level: Rookie Attribute: Data Type: Small Dragon Families:
Abilities:
- [ RHYME TIME ] - Pence can spit some wack bars and lines, bro and you know it. His rhyming is (self-proclaimed) "redonkulous" and "more in time than Miley and Robin". If rapping, singing, or in the presence of any sort of music, Pence can slowly regenerate health.
- [ MAD SWAG ] - Pence is insanely overconfident and far too sure of himself and as such can actually seemingly get going even after being completely dominated by the enemy. He essentially will keep going unless he is utterly physically unable to (read: unconscious or dead).
Attacks:
- [ VEE LASER ] - Pence's only direct damage attack, he crosses his arms, charges energy, and releases it in a sharp, blue, linear laser burst which can reach as far as 100 metres before dissipating. He dislikes using this because it does not involve rap.
- [ SHAME THE LAME ] - With a freestyle rap, Pence puts the dissin' on the fools he got some major beef with. Hoping that his thugz will come along and take care of them, Pence sets them up with a slow-burnin' set of some wicked-ass insults, raggin' on their mommas and such, lowering attack strength of all Champion-and-lower Digimon by 50% for two turns. Has a one turn cooldown.
- [ FAME & GAME ] - Pence rails off some true fax and realtalk about how ill he and his crew are and how they'll fuck y'all up. Going into a swagadelic rap chant (totally memorable) a la the famous "313" scene from 8 Mile, and best used when you're holding up your pants with one hand and tilting your Glock sideways with the other, it raises the attack strength of all nearby friendly Digimon by 50% for two turns. Has a one turn cooldown.
