Once the atmosphere settled down, Haley did what her stomach had been telling her to do since a long time ago. She picked a piece of bone meat, then began to chew it with gusto; yeah, she was hungry, but still, she found herself minding her manners a bit too much. Even despite the inherent... crudeness of the food. Didn't make it any less delicious, though.
The babies, of course, did what they did the best; while most of their questions were lost in the tidal wave made out of that veritable multitude of voices, they all seemed to be so content and excited, bringing a smile to the redhead's face rather readily. Seemed like she loved babies, or at least that's what she thought at the moment.
"Seems like they are as hungry as us, huh?" She remarked with smirk, finding the various images of the babies eating to be extremely entertaining. "I think I could take a liking to this place. Thus far it's been the funniest place I've been."
She promptly noticed the small, pink, bulbous digimon approached, and immediately blushed a little at her hair being complimented.
"Oh, you do? Thank you very much!" She couldn't say she cared a lot for her hair, given its currently disheveled status, but getting compliments about it felt nice. "You don't have anything on me, though. That flower of yours is really pretty!"
She made a motion to caress the digimon's head, asking with her gestures to see if he/she/it was fine with it before finally doing it. She didn't know why, but she found the plantlike variations of these strange beings to be the most cute of them all. Why would that be.
"Say, guys... what you can become 'sides what I've already seen? I guess that an experienced pair like you has a lot of forms to access to, right?"
Or at least, that much felt obvious for Haley at the moment.

"Heh. You got that right," Isaac remarked. "Must be one heck of a meat garden back there to feed them all."
"One heck of a garden's right! Complements to the chef!" Holy cow, how was Elliot already finished? One minute there was a big piece of meat on his place. The next, there wasn't even meat. Being at the intersection of a neat freak and a speed eater lead to some scarily efficient dining, and even after having years to get used to it Isaac still always did a double take upon seeing it. However, today he wasn't even the first to finish. The pile of bones on the table was steadily getting bigger from how many babies were finishing up. A few took this chance to keep eagerly chatting about their days, while another large portion passed out in their chairs and fell asleep. The food coma was strong among these Digimon, even as they happily burped in their sleep.
It was mostly the youngest of the group that rushed through the meal and fell asleep. Older ones, like Yokomon, were taking their time and being quite diligent about it all. "Thank you," she said, a serene smile on her face. "I can't wait to see what it'll turn into when I'm older. It might not even be a flower at all by then! Do your leaves change when you grow up, too?" She happily snuggled into Haley's hand, which proved a big mistake when the other babies caught wind of what was going on. They swarmed over to Haley's chair, hopping up and down and rhythmically cheering for pets.
"We have . . . three other forms each?" Elliot said, running a bit of math in his head. "One set are small, imp-like dragons. Kind of like littler versions of what you saw. Then there are these big snakes. And then there's these long dragons with big arms. I'm not the best at describing, but we can show you later if you'd like!"
"When you're less busy, of course," Isaac teased, looking toward the Legion of Headpets currently massing around Haley.

"Yeah, must've really tiring to... what?" At the midst of her sentence, Haley found out that Elliot had utterly eradicated all his food, pretty much in the blink of an eye. "Wait, how do you did that? It has to be some kind of magic."
That eating speed seemed to be comparable to a human vacuum cleaner; one moment the food was there, the mext one it wasn't. Eh, anyway; the digimon that currently was chatting with her was so cute! She wanted to squeeze her so hard right now, but that would probably be perceived as rude. Right, her question.
"Huh, my hair? Yeah, it should turn gray and then white when I get really, really old, but I'm not exactly looking forward to that." A nervous giggle made its way out of the redhead's mouth; the mere thought of her hair starting to gray out at the early age of thirteen wasn't a pleasant one. Especially since she really liked it.
Well, at least, she seemed to be rather thankful of the her being patted around, and that seemed to... well, trigger every other baby around who wasn't soundly asleep. That was fine, however. There was enough Haley for them all, or at least that's what she guessed.
And thus, the most intense petting session began.
"Three forms? That sounds really neat!" She answered Elliot, right in the middle of her ordeal. "And what's the one you like the most? You guys have a favorite one each, right?"
It wasn't as if a digivolution could be compared to a toy, but she guessed that both brothers had preferences.

"Jeez, I know, right?" Isaac asked as Haley pointed out Elliot's terrifyingly efficient eating habits. "I never could find out how he pulls that off. But hey, it sure makes the all-you-can-eat buffet guys really happy."
Elliot turned a bright red at the two's questioning. "I just usually don't eat too much," he said, voice very sheepish.
"Hey, don't worry, bro. 'Sides, you need some meat on those bones anyway," Isaac teased.
Slowly, the blush subsided as a grin spread over Elliot's face. "There was. Then I finished eating," he said, snickering a little.
"Aw, c'mon, bro. That joke was awful!" Isaac said, trying to stop himself from laughing.
"You're laughing!"
"Because it was that horrible," he choked out, finally giving in to the laughter. At least half of the babies joined in, not even sure why. They just found it hilarious.
Yokomon rolled her eyes at the shenanigans, before turning back to her new friend. "Aw, don't worry. I bet you'll look really nice with silver hair! Like a Sakuyamon!" she chirped. Even as the other babies ebbed and flowed around Haley, getting their share of pets, Yokomon stayed by her side. New friend met!
At mention of their favorite forms, the bros turned back to Haley. By now, they were over their horrible bout of the gigglefits.
"I think mine has to still be Strikedramon. It's the most like a human, so I know how to control it really well. And it's great being so strong!" His voice got a little quiet as he admitted the last part, more to himself than anyone else. "Also, it's great having two good legs again . . ."
"And I gotta go with Devidramon. It's my newest and toughest form, and it's great tearing through the sky like a falcon. 'Sides, it's a really, really cool looking form," Isaac added, grinning proudly. However, he didn't let his own relishing get in the way of his attentiveness. He gave his bro a gentle pat of the shoulder, hoping to help reassure him.

That joke had been... undoubtedly awful. Still, Haley found herself snickering a bit at it. Just a bit.
"You're definitely another thing, guys. That was so bad."
Still, the girl had her hands full with the babies and her newest friend, whose name she didn't know as of yet, but it wasn't as if that really mattered.
"Sakuyamon?" Haley made a confused face at that name; the flower might have as well been speaking Chinese. "No idea what's that, but if you say that's pretty, I guess I'll take it!"
It was a really simple rule, after all. Either it was pretty and she liked it, or it wasn't and... well, she didn't like it. Still, it seemed that the boys were a bit overeager about it, given that they had repeated the same mistake as Yokomon. Or maybe they intended to show her later. No way for her to know.
"Uh, guys. Saying names won't get you anywhere with me, you know. A description, please? I'd be really great if I could make a mental image of how those look, even though I can bet they must be really cool!"
She felt a bit awkward about Isaac mentioning the fact that having to good legs felt good, not sure about how to react towards it, however. What was she supposed to say on times like these? She, well... had no idea, in all honesty.
So Haley just stared awkwardly.

"Oh. That's sad," Yokomon said, sounding genuinely confused as to how Haley didn't know what Sakuyamon was. "She's like this warrior-priestess lady in golden fox armor. She's really pretty! A lot of us want to look like her when we grow up." She hoped that would be explanation enough for the time being. "But there's a lot of us here, so we could really end up looking like anything! I bet Tsunomon there's gonna look like a Numemon."
"I will not!" a Tsunomon protested, puffing up his cheeks.
"You will if you keep pulling my flower! That's what stinky people do! Like Numemon!"
"Well at least I'm not gonna be . . . um . . . Buttmon! Yeah! Yeah, that's you!"
"Kids, kids, settle down!" Elecmon protested. "We've got guests, you know? Be polite."
Thankfully, it seemed like the bros had a distraction in mind. "Oh, don't worry. We won't just tell you," Elliot said, as Haley reminded them that she had no idea how their Digivolutions looked. He grinned softly, but there was a strange amount of confidence behind it.
"We'll show you!" Isaac called, his smile devilish. "You ready, bro?"
The two stood up, the babies' focuses immediately snapping to the promise of a show with dinner. Chains of light and wisps of darkness surrounded the bros as they changed form for the first time, shrinking down as their respective Digivolution shapes consumed them. Where Isaac once stood Impmon hovered over the ground, and where Elliot once stood a Veemon looked excited and ready to fight. They gave Haley the chance to check them out, looking remarkably similar for one being a dragon and the other being a demon. Small and bluish with wiggling ears and small tails. "Veemon!" "Impmon!"
Then they changed again, Elliot engulfed in flame and Isaac lost behind a shroud of wind. Their silhouettes seemed to stretch and grow behind the shrouds, eventually separating to reveal Strikedramon and Yasyamon. Here the two bros started to diverge in shape. Elliot looked more sharklike and muscular, having the posture of a brawler. Isaac on the other hand, wore a mysterious mask and had a very slim build. Two wooden blades in his hands were the most obvious divergence, and he looked much more technical than his brutal bro. "Strikedramon!" "Yasyamon!"
Now a purple shell surrounded Elliot, while Isaac was wrapped in eight twisting columns of fire. From the purple shell emerged the twisting body of Sandiramon, the shell forming into the cobra's hood. Isaac, on the other hand, got wider rather than long, as the flames twisted into a snake's body before separating into eight writhing heads. There was a lot more of Orochimon than there was of Sandiramon, and one resembled a viper while the other resembled a cobra, but overall they were quite similar. "Sandiramon!" "Orochimon!"
And then finally, Isaac continued. Darkness loomed over his body, hundreds of red eyespots opening along the length of the darkness. When it cleared his body was still snakelike, the extra heads were gone. Now he had long, rending claws, a pair of tattered wings, and a very aerodynamically shaped head. "Devidramon!" He did a few spins in mid-air, admiring himself as he gracefully coiled around in the sky.
"That's the furthest we can go," Elliot explained, degenerating back to human form. He seemed a little exhausted from shotgunning through his Digivolution levels like that. "We don't really know how to get past Beast spirit level. Our Digivices haven't picked up any new spirits, so we don't think it'll be about that. But yeah! Now you know what we look like."

A warrior-priestess lady in golden fox armor, huh? Well, that sounded a bit interesting, even though silver hair was something that Haley wanted to avoid like the plague until she became like, sixty or something. She was still too young for that kind of stuff.
The girl couldn't but snicker rather soundly at the argument between Tsunomon and her new friend, however. Banter between children was entertaining. Well, a bit.
She watched with enthusiasm how the brothers began switching among all their forms, from the weaker ones to the stronger ones. And from humanlike to beastlike, at least in a sense; snakes were cool, though. However, she quirked an eyebrow at the fact that Isaac seemed to have more forms than Elliot; she didn't know why, but that sounded really weird. Maybe it was just her imagination, though.
"That was quite the show!" She said between excited claps, pretty sure that the babies were already fawning over the two. What the brothers had done was pretty awesome. "And how many more do you expect to get? Because three and four is a lot already!"
Or not...? She had no idea, in all honesty, but could make an educated guess at there being one or two more levels. Maybe three? That'd kinda be too much.

The babies hopped up and down in their seats, cheering excitedly for the show. A few of them were too busy chattering among themselves to even touch their meat! Among Digimon, that was surprisingly rare. Tsunomon turned to Yokomon, grinning ear-to-ear. "Now that's what I'm gonna look like when I grow up! I'm gonna be so cool!" Yokomon simply stuck her tongue out at him, Elecmon quickly trying to break the two up before they got started again
"Not sure," Isaac said. "We know there's at least one level above us. Mega, I think it's called? But if there aren't any other spirits for us to get, I'm really not sure how we can get ahold of it."
"There was this one time we fought this really big dark knight guy, too. He seemed like he was a level even above Mega," Elliot said, a bit nervous. It had been a while since he had consciously thought about their fight with Myotismon and Omnimon Zwart. That didn't stop them from stalking his dreams, though. The dark scars from that point-blank attack had mostly faded from some really timely healing, but even then he could swear he saw them when he squinted hard enough. "So I guess that's one more each? Maybe two?"
"I dunno. Its about the journey, not the destination, right?" Isaac asked. He touched down back at the table, still a dragon, and popped the meat on his plate right into his giant mouth. He seemed oddly comfortable staying in Devidramon form for extended periods of time. In fact, he didn't even seem to notice as a DemiVeemon crawled behind his tail, hefting it up and using it as a jump rope for a few of his In-Training friends.
"Are there any Digimon you remember? Like, if you squeeze your eyes shut really hard and focus?"

The whole evolution thing was really interesting! Haley seemed to get a bit of its hang, even though it seemed like something a bit complicated. Still, she had to learn some way, right? She was sure this information would come in as really handy once her turn raising digimons came; nothing would make her happier than knowing she did all she could to ensure they grew healthy and happy.
She nodded at Elliot's explanation, that gesture returning even in more force at Isaac's remark.
"Yup! Of course that having fun along the way is way more important that reaching your destination, but knowing where are you headed is important too, I think? I'm not exactly hype about wandering blindly, you know..."
After all, if she didn't know where she came from, at least she wanted to know where she was going to. Didn't seem like an irrational thought for her.
Regarding the younger brother's question, however... Haley hadn't really thought about it. Was there any digimon she remembered? Just as she was told, she closed her eyes and tried to remember...
Her mind's eye retrieved her some images; a small, white ball with angel wings, a bipedal dinosaur, a soldier-like digimon and...
Suddenly, her eyes opened like saucers just as the girl's body gave a violent shudder... not the most pleasant of images, and by a stretch.
"U-uh, yeah... I-I think." Her tone made evident that she was either nervous or afraid, or maybe both. "None of those are here, though."
Luckily for her.

The second Elliot saw Haley's reaction, he regretted ever asking her about it. He had been trying to help, and instead he probably just brought up something horribly traumatic. Why the heck did he keep doing that? He visibly slumped a little, almost afraid to look her in the eye after that. "I'm really sorry. I didn't realize," he said, voice as quiet as a whisper. "If it helps, you're not alone there." His tone was general, but the shudders down his spine were all too real. Porcupamon. Myotismon. BlackWarGreymon. How many would join that list down the line? He knew Haley probably didn't want to talk about it, and that he sure didn't as well, but he hoped that little bit of a kindred spirit feeling would help give her some peace of mind.
Isaac tried to put the conversation back on its rails before their corner of the table turned into the breakdown zone. "Yeah, you got that right. Pick a start, pick an end. The middle? That's where the real fun happens," he said, bringing up Haley's earlier observation. "Although sometimes wandering blind can be fun. Just gotta make sure you've got someone watching your back in case things go wrong, eh?" Elliot blinked. It was pretty obvious that was his job, but then again it was also Isaac's too. The two were becoming quite the power duo thanks to all of their time in the Digital World.
Thankfully, there came another question. "So what's the world like?" Tsunomon asked, leading all the other babies to join in a chorus of questions.
Isaac stretched out his long-claws hands to try and appease them all. "Kids, kids, settle down! I'm big enough to talk to you all at once. Now, if you all be really good and really quiet, I'm gonna tell you about all the places you'll be seeing when you're older. 'Cause I hate to brag, but my bro and I? We've been to every corner of the Digital World at least once.
So! Where'd you like me to start?" Immediately the babies jumped up and down, each eager to pick where Storytime with Isaac would begin. He seemed to be doing a good job of offering up a distraction. Question was, would Haley and Elliot take it?

Trying to reign herself, Haley just waved her hand dismissively at Elliot. He was trying to help, so blaming him for anything would be really ridiculous.
"Don't sweat it! I mean, it's not your fault that among the first images I'd get I'll see... well, what I saw." To be honest, she hadn't had a clear image of that thing. That horrifying feeling came almost by itself. Maybe it was associated with a bad memory? "Guess that those types of experiences aren't that uncommon in this place if you have them too, then. Maybe that means I've been around here for some time? Or at least, for enough to find the scary stuff."
Getting back into less dire points, she had to agree with Isaac. Even though...
"I'm not sure if wandering blind is any fun. At least yet." She made a tiny shrug, mostly to emphasize her own situation. "But I guess I met you due to that, so it isn't that bad. Wonder if we'd have met if I had my memories with me."
Just, how much time had passed since she had forgotten? Weeks, months, maybe even years? That last case was... kinda unlikely, but still made her wonder.
The Tsunomon's question was pretty interesting, actually! She just had some fuzzy images of the Digital World, so having a description may help to jog up her memory? That'd be great.
So, with as much eagerness as the babies, she waited for Isaac to begin.

"Yeah, but . . ." Elliot's voice trailed off slightly as he tried to think of how to word what he was saying. Now she seemed to be worried that danger was common here. Was that what he was implying? Maybe it was, at least a little bit. But he didn't mean it in a sad way! Sometimes, he wished he was just better at finding the right words for a situation. He closed his eyes, letting his brain run for a bit, before finally find the right sentence. "Lets just not worry about those, okay? It's always good to be careful, and maybe bad stuff's happened in the past. But we can't let it get in the way of the future, right?
And I'm gonna do my best to help you make it a great one. I promise."
Isaac cleared his throat, which was a rather tremendous sound due to how long Devidramon was, and then reclined back to focus on his tale. "So, the Digital World. Were do I even begin? Probably right here! I'm sure you've all seen the DinoHyumon that lives around here, right? He lives a good walk down and runs a place called the Spartan Training Grounds, where he helps make Digimon big and strong. Like me! He can be a bit cranky sometimes, but he's got a soft spot for kids. Once you Digivolve and get your new bodies, I'm sure he'd love to help train you all. Then from there there's the Server Woods. Its this really serene forest, where the breeze is nice and the trees are shady. The paths there lead to all sorts of places, like these beautiful lakes and ponds. Eventually the trees start to thin and that's where you get to the Mainframe Hills. The view there's beautiful, nothing between you and the sky, and in winter they're really fun to go sledding down.
The Mainframe Hills start to smooth out and flatten, eventually turning into the Network Plains. They go on for what seems like forever, but then from there we get to the center of it all; Terminus City. Imagine a city stretching as far as the eye can see. With buildings going-" He spread his wings and took to the air, flying up until he was just a speck on the horizon. Then he came back down, telling the babies "-all the way up there! And because there are so many different Digimon, there are all sorts of different buildings and different experiences there. You'll always have new stories to hear, and new people to talk to, and new sights to see. And if there's anything you want, you'll probably be able to find it there too. Then there are trains going to every corner of the Digital World. From Terminus, you can do anything and go anywhere.
To the west you've got the flatlands. Its dry over there, but when the weather's nice it can be breathtaking. There are all sorts of ruins and temples here, signs of a time far in the past. Heck, even a guy as old as me can't remember what used to be there! But there's always new stuff being learned about the Digital World there, with statues of all of these famous kings and gods. And there's also a beautiful oasis, with the freshest water you'll ever drink and plenty of shade. Traders come around every now and then, and they tell the best stories. There's also a town made of scrap that helps keep people sheltered from the desert. It seems like it'd be full of tough guys, but a lot of them are actually big softies. And there's a town underground, where you'll find some of the brightest lights in the Digital World. And then there's the Valley of Dragons, where you can see some of the Digital World's strongest going head-to-head with each other. Who knows? Maybe one day, you guys'll take the challenge.
There's not too much to do up north, but its really nice up there, too. I flew my brother up to the peak once after a hard day of work, and we were up so high we could practically see the whole Digital World. The north's where the sky's at its clearest and brightest, and there are all of these pretty patterns dancing in the air. Auroras, they call 'em. And there are some really hard-working people working on building a little village there, which is gonna be a nice break from the cold. Because just like you guys, the Digital World's still always growing and changing. Who knows what'll pop up there next? It's only for the truest of adventurers, though. Fighting against the bitter cold, scaling the highest peaks, crawling through caves, fending off danger. It's not a trip to be taken lightly, but you'll be darn proud of yourself when you pull it off.
The south's way more relaxing. Its this little cluster of islands in the Macro Ocean, and its so warm you'll never want to leave once you head there. It's got the second biggest city in the Digital World, Whitewater, which is next to this beautiful beach. There's nowhere better to just kick back and enjoy the day than on those beaches, and the water always feels just right when you go for a swim. There's all of this laughing and excitement and music and energy, like nowhere else. And there's this jungle so lively, the fruit's almost falling off of the trees. It never looks or tastes the same twice, but its always gonna taste great. But if that's all too tame for you, you can also find yourself walking over to the end of the world. The far, far south of the Digital World is where it all seems to stop, falling into this endless waterfall. Nobody knows where it goes from there. Heck, even I'm afraid to see it for myself!
And that's not all there is. I've flown past islands in the sky, and a turtle so big he can carry an entire city on his back. Just when you think you've seen it all, there's more to the Digital World than you could've ever expected. But ah, I'm just rambling now. Still, the Digital World's huge, and strange, and always changing. And one of these days, it'll be yours to take on. Just remember to stick to the cities 'til you're old enough to keep an eye on yourself, and always keep around someone you trust. The Digital World's amazing, but if you charge into it blindly you could really get hurt. Once you figure out how you're gonna handle it, though? There's nothing more rewarding than taking a big look at it and going "This is home." "
And with that done, he let himself finally rest. Phew! That was exhausting.

Well, what could Haley do? Elliot seemed to be hellbent on trying to rectify something that hadn't been his fault. Guess that getting on with it, then moving one was the most sensible course of action. The girl couldn't say she didn't appreciate those gestures, however.
"Aw, that's so nice of you part, Elliot. You're a great friend, you know?" Maybe a friend that tried a little too hard, but that was only a sign that he cared, she guessed.
Onto Isaac's explanations, she had to admit that he had been as expansive as he could. While probably overly long for a bunch of babies, and, as much as she hated to admit it, even for her, she had enjoyed it. No particular memory sprang from any of those areas, but... they all sounded oddly familiar, almost as if she had been there before. It was a funny feeling, even if somewhat confusing and frustrating.
And that left her asking herself a simple question... what now? So far, she had taken things as they came, but they all seemed to lead nowhere. Well, except to some bad feelings and Elliot apologizing profusely about them, but that was a less than desirable outcome.
"I... think I'll take a stroll around. Hope you don't mind, guys; I'll be back soon."
Even if she had enjoyed the brothers' company, she felt like she needed some time alone to mull all these swirling thoughts by herself.
And it wasn't like she'd get lost or anything of the like, right? That'd be something really dumb on her part. [Exit Thread]
