Shiro was only too happy to oblige. The rest... Well, it's probably best left to the imagination.
Kai chuckled. Oh, if only Shiro were capable of sitting still enough to pass off as a stuffed animal. It's a miracle my parents haven't found out about him. I probably have Kuro to thank for that." At the praise, Kuro made quite the self-satisfied face. Kai gave her a scritch under the chin. It seemed she enjoyed that.
"It's true. Feeding these two has been a lot less simple since I stopped going to the Digital World. Well, not much I can do about that." He stopped talking to chuckle at the three Digimon, who were now wrestling, it seemed. It was a welcome break from what usually happened when Digimon fought.

Of course being neither large or nimble, Luke easily got defeated in the play wrestling. He laughed and tried his hardest not to let his tail feathers light up with electricity. As much as Bellamy bothered him, he didn't want to electrocute him or their new friend Shiro.
"Okay I give up!" Luke said, as Bellamy had him in a playful pin. The Impmon let him go without too much of a fight, recognizing that Luke had played fair. Had it not gone that way, he would've waited for him to beg before he'd release him.
"Alrighty then bunny-boy" Bellamy said. Seeing that their game had finished, Colin was wondering what to do next. They had been playing for a while now in the park, and could possibly be drawing attention.
"Our digimon sure had a lot of fun didn't they?" Colin asked Kai. "Heh, well then, I'd best head home and do some homework while they're tired out". As nice as this meeting was, Colin probably wouldn't get an opportunity to do this again.
"Well, it was nice talking to you, Kai" Colin said. "Do you have a D-Terminal still? We could keep in touch" he reached into his cargo pants pocket and took it out, eager to write down some contact info.

Shiro was clearly having the most fun he'd had in a while. His tail whipped back and forth as he contemplated challenging Bellamy for the right to be called King of the Park. Alas, 'twas not to be, as it appeared Colin had decided to cut things short.
"That they did." Kai replied. "Come on, Shiro. It's about time we headed back." The second part was called out to the white Digimon. "Awww, already!?" Shiro was clearly saddened by this turn of events. That said, he still obeyed. "See you two later!" The white Digimon mewed at Luke and Bellamy, as he bounded back over to Kai.
"Oh... uh, no, I don't. I do have a cell phone, though, if you'd like my number." Kai had never had anything like the device that Colin pulled forth. Was he supposed to? He'd never seen one before. That said, his situation wasn't a particularly normal one- The whole recieving partners before his Digivice thing was unusual to say the least. In any case, should Colin reply in the affirmative, Kai would pull out a pen, rip a scrap of paper from the back of one of the notebooks he had with him, and scrawl down a number for the younger boy. Probably tell him to call if he ever needed help, or something. Kai might be retired as a tamer, but he'd be a failure as a human being if he let that keep him from helping out someone else in trouble.
"Try to stay out of trouble, though. Digimon can be dangerous." Kai felt it appropriate to finish with a warning. The places in his side that had been pierced by BlackGarurumon's bite still ached on occasion, and he would not wish such a thing on anyone. Especially not a nice kid like Colin. That said... There wasn't much more he could say than that. The harshest part about the dangers of Digimon is that there isn't really a way to predict when they'll happen- Violent Digimon could show up at any time, even in the Human World. And if the Digimon was stronger than your partner...

As disappointing as it was to cut this meeting short, Colin was still glad that his partners had got something good out of it. They had made new friends, probably with individuals they would have never met outside the digital world.
Colin blinked as Kai said he didn't have a D-Terminal, but smiled as he said he had a cellphone instead. "That'll do just nicely" Colin said, smiling as they would then exchange numbers. "Luke and Bellamy look like they really like Shiro, I just think it'd be nice if we could keep in touch and come out here sometime later" he said.
And there was also his personal feelings too, that even though Kai was older than him, he had still met another human in this city that knew about digimon. That was fairly important to Colin as well. Just in case something horrible happened and he needed someone to talk to that would understand. His schoolfriends didn't know about digimon, neither did his family. This would be something he would hold preciously.
Colin nodded with affirmation at the sentiment that digimon could be dangerous. "Yeah, don't worry, I know that for one thing" as Luke and Bellamy returned to him, both of them looking hesitant.
"So... do we have to de-digivolve and get back into your bag now?" Bellamy asked, somewhat annoyed. "We're your Nebbies?" Colin rolled his eyes, but supposed that since they were in their Rookie forms now, he wouldn't force them into a lower form if he could help it.
"Well, I'll buy you some coats on the way back so you don't have to de-digivolve" he said. It was close to winter anyway so he supposed that they would need them. Colin knew that Bellamy and Luke hated being in their in-training forms so he supposed it was for the best that he accommodated them.
"Well, see ya round, Kai" Colin said to the older boy. Bellamy and Luke meanwhile grinned and said their farewells to Shiro. Both of them liked him. Although they hadn't had much chance to bond with his sister. But there'd be plenty of time for that later, hopefully.
