Robyn and Dracomon had finally reached the small desert town of Rustport. It had been a long walk out of the Valley of Dragons, but the two of them along with Marshal had managed to make it without dying. That was always a plus. "Now, all we have to do is wait for a Trailmon to show up and we can be back to Terminus City in no time!" Dracomon told Robyn. It was pretty surprising how much the little guy knew about the Digital World, considering he had just hit Rookie form not that long ago. "I hope everything is okay in the Real World," Robyn sighed. "I have to let my parents know immediately that I'm okay! They've probably made themselves sick with worry over the past few months."Current Sentence Count: 8

Marshal had been carrying Coronamon for quite a while now. The poor Digimon still hadn't woken up from his fierce battle earlier. "Hopefully we can get there before dark," he said, looking around incredulously. "I don't like being in this town at night time."
Coronamon was still sawing logs on Marshal's back, and it didn't look like he'd wake up any time soon.

Colin and his partners had walked the long road from Terminus City to Rustport Town. Even though they had a little bit of money to go around these days, for some reason, Colin's brother partners - Bellamy the Impmon and Luke the Elecmon had insisted on walking this way by foot.
The heat reminded Colin of his times back home growing up in Nebraska. Only... walking here, with sensible supplies of water and sunscreen; with his partners as company, and without the constant presence of flies, Colin was enjoying the walk.
Luke and Bellamy meanwhile were walking their own path from nostalgia. It was on this road that they had first met in their previous lives, with Luke as a Courier and Bellamy as a delinquent thief. But, on this road, it was here that Luke had extended his paw in friendship, and where Bellamy had accepted it. It was here that was the reason these two were now digimon twin brothers.
Eventually, they reached their destination, the brown dusty village of Rustport Town. Out here, any sign of civilization was a great thing for all three companions, and this was no exception.
"Heh, Colin you should see the tavern here" Bellamy said to him, the Impmon still dressed in the bright tropical shirt as well as his signature scarf and gloves. "Yeah on the outside it's small town trash, but on the inside, wow, the drinks are amazing"
"Uh... that's nice, but, I won't be able to drink for another 8 years" Colin said, a little sheepishly. "No, wait, 7 years" he corrected himself. Since moving to Japan from the USA, obviously the legal drinking age had dropped.
"Ah, right" the Impmon said, not wanting to infringe Colin's opinion of this. Heck, he and his brother were barely 2 weeks old and they drank what they liked, but humans will be humans. "But the food's great!"
Colin nodded. He looked ahead as they walked into town, and he saw a familiar sight.
"Hey that's Marshal!" he exclaimed. Luke and Bellamy saw too, and they ran up to him. "Hi there... we keep bumping into each other all over the place don't we?" Colin asked, grinning.
Luke noticed that Coronamon wasn't looking too good. "Oh, wow, Corona, are you going alright?" he asked with concern.
With that, the two looked at the other person in the vicinity. A blonde human girl and a Dracomon. Just like Ryu, they noted, only this one looked somewhat younger and less battle-worn than their mentor.
"Hey there" Colin said to them. "What brings you guys out this way?" he asked, making conversation.

Marshal and Robyn had hardly been in town for five minutes and already another party showed up. At least it was a familiar face! "Hey, guys!" Marshal greeted Colin and the twins. They seemed to be concerned about Coronamon. "Yeah, we actually just got out of a pretty serious battle in the valley earlier. It was pretty intense! Coronamon even hit Mega, but it drained him pretty hard. He's just resting right now."

Robyn was a little nervous around this boy who Marshal apparently knew. "Hi there," she said, introducing herself. "I'm Robyn, and this is my partner, Dracomon!"Dracomon was clearly nervous around these two Digimon for some reason, but it was probably just because he was always just nervous around everyone. "H-hi," he stammered. "Nice to meet you."Before they had finished introducing themselves, Robyn's Digivice started beeping. She fiddled with the buttons until a small map appeared on the screen, with a tiny flashing dot blinking in and out every so often in the corner of the screen. "Marshal, what's this?" she asked, shoving the device in his face. Current Sentence Count: 17

Colin listened as Marshal explained that they got into a battle in the valley, and that was why Coronamon was out of commission for the moment.
"Wait a moment!" Bellamy said suddenly, raising a finger to throw caution to the wind, a shrewd expression in his green eyes. "Wait a moment... let's just roll back on something here" he spoke calmly, gathering his thoughts. He then turned to Marshal and Coronamon. "...YOU GUYS CAN EVOLVE TO MEGA?!!!!" he suddenly exclaimed with an exasperated expression. "I didn't know that! Argh we're so far behind!" he complained.
Colin gave a nervous chuckle at Bellamy's antics.
"Sorry about my brother, he can get a bit jealous of other peoples' power" Luke said quickly.
"Hmph" Bellamy folded his arms. "I ain't no green-eyed monster".
"Uh, Bellamy... you're a digimon and you have green eyes".
"...IN THE METAPHORICAL SENSE DAMN IT!"
Colin meanwhile paid attention to Robyn and Dracomon, who appeared to be Marshal's friends. "Hey there" he said to them, noticing that they seemed a little nervous. "I'm Colin and these are my partners Luke and Bellamy. We're new around here too" the 13-year-old said pleasantly.
"Heya" Luke said, the Elecmon smiling at them.
"Yo" Bellamy said, the Impmon winking and making a casual streetwise gesture with his hands.
Then Robyn showed Marshal something on her digivice. Colin looked with a little curiosity what was going on. It was something his own digivice did not do yet, so he awaited Marshal's answer.

Now, this was certainly a blast from the past! "Oh!" Marshal exclaimed. "That signal means your Digimental is nearby! With one of those, you can make Dracomon Armor Digivolve to a slightly higher form. Coronamon and I actually found ours in the ruins not too far from here. I'm not surprised that there's more around here."
Hearing his name, Coronamon stirred a little bit, but was still in no shape to get up and communicate with everyone else, let alone go on a Digimental Hunt and get in a fight. "We won't be in any shape to help you out," Marshal admitted. "Coronamon needs all the rest he can get right now. Maybe Colin can help you?"

Robyn was pretty intrigued by Marshal's explanation, but Dracomon was slightly less excited about going out into danger. "Are you sure this is a good idea?" he wondered aloud. "Isn't it supposed to be dangerous around here?""I'm sure we can take care of it!" Robyn said, oddly optimistic. "After all, we could use a bit of a power-up. Though, it'll be a bit tougher without Marshal there to help." She turned to Colin. "We'd love it if you guys could help us out! Maybe we can find something for the two of you while we're out and about!" She chuckled a bit, clearly joking. There was no way Colin's Digimentals would be in the same area, was there? "Digimental?!" Bellamy repeated, his ears perking up with excitement. Colin meanwhile simply looked confused.
"What's a digimental?" he asked his partners.
"It's an artifact that allows digimon to Armor Digivolve" Luke explained. "They show up in odd places in the digital world, and if you find one that responds to a virtue you possess, your digimon partners can get stronger"
"Ohh, nice" Colin said, understanding. He heard Marshal say that he found his around here too. Bellamy was almost spluttering with shock about how much this guy had advanced in his adventures in the digital world, but Colin mostly ignored him.
"Colin, maybe take out your digivice and see if you pick up any signals?" Luke suggested to his partner. Colin nodded and did so. He accessed the map function of his digivice and - lo and behold, he saw two faint dots in the vicinity of the ruins. They were in a different place to Robyn's of course, but not too far.
"Well lookie here!" Bellamy said, grinning broadly with delight at the signals of the digimentals showing up. It was suggested that they could go help Robyn with her hunt. "That sounds like a great idea!" he rubbed his hands, eager to get some digivolution happening. This was exactly what he had signed up for when he and Luke became partners with a human. Now it was starting to pay dividends!
"Yeah, we'll help you look for yours" Colin said to Robyn. "And in exchange, you can help us find ours?" the boy thought that was a fair deal. Work together and get some digimentals by the end of the day. "So then, in which ruin is it?" he looked around at the ruins in the distance.

"Right," Marshal muttered. "Well, if it's all the same to you guys, I'd like to get Coronamon off my back and to a place where he can rest, so I'll try my best to catch up with you guys later if he's doing better." With that, Marshal exhaustedly shuffled into the nearby inn for a well deserved rest.

Robyn watched as Marshal carried his Digimon into the inn. Hopefully, the two of them would be safe here. However, she was more concerned about her own safety as she and Dracomon prepared to go out on an adventure. The afternoon sun seemingly began to shine brighter over the heads of the party, and it was clear that the five of them were not in for a simple stroll through the desert.
"There's always time to back out," Dracomon reminded her. "We have a Trailmon to catch, after all."
"No," Robyn said sternly. "We've gotta get tougher. We can't keep relying on Marshal every time we get in a bind. Let's move." With a newfound resolve, Robyn took off in the direction the Digivice pointed her to, hardly waiting for Dracomon and Colin's party to keep up.

So it seemed that Marshal and Coronamon would not be joining them. Colin thought that was understandable, if his digimon wasn't fit for defending him then he should give him some time to rest. Colin would have done the same.
Bellamy and Luke meanwhile were super excited to be going on an adventure. Bellamy grinned as he approached Dracomon. "Well well, mini-wings, looks like we're gonna be workin' together for a little while, eh?" he asked, putting an arm around his shoulder in a friendly gesture.
"Really, Bellamy, most people just shake paws" Luke said, wanting to make a better impression on these new acquaintances. Instead he offered his paw to Dracomon to shake. "Hey there, Dracomon, we'll do our best to get us some digimentals safely" the Elecmon said in a pleasant tone.
Following that, it seemed Robyn began to head toward the signal of the digivice. Colin, Luke and Bellamy followed them - Colin's digimon daydreaming about what sort of digimon they might evolve into once they find their digimentals.
"So hey, Robyn" Colin said to the girl. "How long have you been in the digital world for? I gather that Marshal's helped you out a lot, right?"

Dracomon was trying not to look terrified around Bellamy, but it was a little difficult for the poor little Rookie. "Y-yeah," he stammered, returning Luke's handshake. "We'll g-get those Digimentals in no time! Then we'll make it back in time for the train back home."Robyn wasn't really sure how to answer Colin's question. "Well, technically I've been here for over four months, but I don't remember any of it. Marshal just found me and Dracomon earlier at the bottom of that canyon. I wish I knew what was going on, but it seems answers will take time to reveal themselves." What worried Robyn the most at the moment was the fact that she wasn't able to go through the portal that Marshal had made earlier. If she really was stuck here, it was super important that she find this Digimental so she and Dracomon would be able to survive easier. Of course, she didn't really feel comfortable letting that information out to just anyone, especially someone who she just met. Current Sentence Count: 50

Bellamy recognized that Dracomon was super nervous around him so he sighed, removing his arm. Yeesh, digimon were so timid these days. Oh well.
"Yep, that's the spirit" Luke said, winking at Dracomon at the prospect of succeeding and being home in time for dinner.
Robyn then said to Colin that she was here for four months, but didn't remember anything. This clicked with what he had heard from Oboro at the beach in the South earlier. "You know... you're not the first one I've met who's said that" Colin said. "It sounds to me that there was some sort of... event in the digital world four months ago, right? Did Marshal know anything about it?"
Colin was eager to find out this mystery. Soon they approached the ruins, wondering what awaited them inside.
"We'd better be careful, guys" Luke said, the Elecmon sounding serious. "I heard that some digimentals are defended by some 'trials' that are designed so they only can be picked up by people who they're compatible with"
"Why would they be?" Bellamy asked, irritably.
"Well, it's so that only the 'worthy' can use them" Luke said, shrugging. "You can't just have anyone walk up to a digimental and take it you know".
"Eh, true I guess" Bellamy relented. "I just hope it ain't somethin' like a Spinny Blade Wall or nasty traps like that".
He seemed to be unaware of just how scary he might be making others through saying things like this.

Robyn was surprised to learn that she was not the only person who had been missing for a similar amount of time to her. "That's really weird," she muttered to herself. "This can't just be a coincidence, can it?" A few hours passed, and finally they had reached the location of Robyn's Digimental, a giant structure looming in the desert. Meanwhile, Luke and Bellamy's conversation wasn't doing much for Dracomon's nerves, and the little dragon started trembling with fear. Knowing he couldn't turn back, he followed the group cautiously into the ruins. Once inside the ruins, Robyn looked back at her Digivice. She seemed to be right next to her Digimental, and the display zoomed in to show its location a little better now that she was in proximity to it. "We're close," she muttered. As she followed the Digivice's signal through the corridors of the ruins, she couldn't help but feel that she was being watched. After some time, the group came upon a large, open room. At the other side of the room sat a strange object. It looked like an easter egg with a flame pattern on it that had gotten stabbed with a weird spike. Robyn darted across the room to grab it, and her Digivice began to screech in her hand, signaling that she must have found it. "Well, that was easier than I thought," she grinned, grabbing the strange object and holding it above her head. Suddenly the whole ruin began to shake. "Did you have to say anything?" Dracomon said, hitting his face with his palm. With a flash of lightning and a deafening thunderclap, some weird blue ball monster appeared before them. Current Sentence Count: 68
