Marshal and Coronamon had been enjoying some time off from fighting ever since the battle at Terabyte Mountain with Ryouta and Colin. The two of them had achieved a form that they didn't even know was possible, but nearly paid dearly for being so reckless. After landing themselves in the hospital for a few days, the two were back in action and decided to take a bit of a vacation back to Whitewater.
"Man, this is nice," Marshal sighed. "It's so nice to not have to worry about investigating anything or fighting anyone!"
"Preaching to the choir here, friend," Coronamon replied. "I'm the one who usually has to do all the fighting!"
"Not anymore," Marshal reminded him. "I stand by what I said. From now on, I'm gonna be right there with you!"

Robyn had dragged Dracomon all the way down to Whitewater City. For the first time, the two of them were able to go about on an adventure on their own, without anyone accompanying them. Marshal had told her all about a lot of the places in the Digital World, and this one was by far her most desired travel spot. She loved tropical settings and wanted nothing more than to just spend an entire day at the beach.
Dracomon, however, was still coming off the sheer terror of escorting Robyn through the wilds of the Digital World to get them here. His Tamer, as the genius she was, had decided that taking the train would be ridiculous, and that the two of them would be fine. Granted, they were, in fact they hadn't even run into anything that remotely seemed hostile towards them on the way here, but that didn't change the fact that it was totally reckless of her! "When we go back, we're taking the train," Dracomon muttered.
"Nonsense!" Robyn scoffed. "What's wrong with a fun little walk through the jungle? Nature is awesome, Dracomon!"
"Y-yeah, when it's not trying to kill us," Dracomon mumbled. Was he going to be like this all day? Robyn really needed to get some other friends to hang out with...
Well, speak of the devil. As if on cue, Marshal and Coronamon walked by them on the street! "Hey, guys!" Robyn called out, stopping Marshal by grabbing his arm.

Marshal was jolted in surprise by a sudden tug on his arm. Who else would pop up in the middle of Whitewater but Robyn? Suddenly, Marshal blushed for a quick moment, but it didn't stay. "Oh, hey Robyn!" he said. "Glad to see you two are doing well!"
Since the Biomerge, Coronamon was way more in tune with Marshal's emotions, and this ended up being much more useful than the little Digimon originally thought. Marshal was actually...much better at suppressing his true feelings than Coronamon had realized. But, funnily enough, he wasn't good enough to hide something as important as this! Just like Marshal had discovered Coronamon's feelings for Bellamy, Coronamon was getting the impression that Marshal had a crush on Robyn! He gave his Tamer a knowing glance and a smirk.
Totally ignoring his Digimon, Marshal turned around to face her. "Hey, it's actually good that you came here!" he said. "I was actually going to ask if you wanted to come along...and maybe get something to eat? Like, on a date or something?"
Wait...what? This wasn't what Coronamon was expecting at all! Where was the copious amount of blushing? Where was the ridiculously nervous stammer? This wasn't what Coronamon was hoping would happen! He was a little upset that Marshal didn't even provide the opportunity for his Digimon to tease him, but also extremely happy!

Robyn was shocked! She blushed suddenly, but giggled. "I guess I do owe you one for saving us, at least!" she remembered. "I'd love to go on a...date!" The word was a little...strange on her lips when she spoke it. She had never really been on a date with anyone before! But Marshal was so nice, and he had saved her from that canyon a while back.
Dracomon wasn't entirely sure what was going on, but Robyn looked happy, so he was happy! He was a very easy Digimon to please...and scare!

Marshal was extremely pleased with this news. "Great!" he grinned. "I know just the place. Follow me!" He took Robyn and Dracomon on a walk through town. Eventually, he led them to a nice-looking restaurant in one of the quieter streets of town. "This is the nicest place in town, or so I hear," he explained. "Let's go in! It'll be my treat."
Coronamon smiled. He had been scouting out a few of the restaurants in town recently for a sort of...project, and this one had recently captured his interest. He couldn't wait to see what was in store for them.
...Until he stepped in the door. The place looked like a disaster! First off, it was totally empty, which didn't make much sense. The second telling fact was that there were at least a dozen Burgamon running around like a bunch of Cockatrimon with their heads cut off. All the tables seemed to be dirty, and the small glance that Coronamon got of the kitchen proved that it was a total disaster area!
"Oh, some customers!" a voice shouted. "I'm so sorry!" From out of the kitchen, a Delumon sprinted into the lobby. "Welcome to...our restaurant!" It seemed the Delumon didn't even know the name of the restaurant!
"Are you guys open?" Marshal asked, a little incredulous.
"Um..." the Delumon grumbled. "We are...but our chef just walked out on us! With no chef, we've been trying to manage for the day, but everything is falling apart fast!"
Well, that was a problem. Marshal and Robyn's lunch date would have to be put on hold...were it not for a hero stepping up in the last moment!
"I know a few things about cooking," Coronamon told the little bird. "I'd be more than happy to help out if you guys need!"
The Delumon's eyes lit up with hope the second Coronamon said that. Without another word, he grabbed Marshal's Digimon and threw him into the kitchen. He also grabbed Dracomon and pushed him through the door after him. Once those two were out of the way, Delumon escorted Marshal and Robyn to their seats.

Well, this date was starting off well. This restaurant was on the verge of total anarchy! To make matters worse, the staff had just taken their Digimon and thrown them into the kitchen to get to work. Robyn wasn't even sure Dracomon knew anything about how a restaurant worked or how to cook anything!
The little peacock monster showed her and Marshal to their table. He was a bit...clueless, it seemed. He was a cute little maitre'd for the restaurant though, at least! Just needed to get his act together. "So," Robyn said as the two of them were left at the table, "where did you hear about this restaurant?"
