Doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.
DAY ONE
In the heart of the Folder desert, there lies a small town by the name of Rustport. In that town, lies a store. Rustport Wares and Enhancements: Your home for all sorts of nifty and convenient toys. That shop has only one worker, the owner. His name is Flamon, a fiery humanoid Digimon whose further information should be easily available to anyone with a digivice. This Flamon stands out a bit, though, with a scar over his eye and a grizzled face which claims that, despite his childlike body, this is a Digimon who has been through quite a bit.
Of late, Flamon claims to have seen some stragglers about his shop. Claims, because, of course, no one else has seen these figures. Not even when Flamon takes the time to point them out. Public opinion is that poor Flamon finally went mad from old age and overwork.
While the rejection of his neighbors hurt, Flamon knew it was hard to take him seriously. But he knew what he saw! And he knows that a robbery is coming, and soon! If it falls to him to secure his own home, then so be it! But, lone rookie that he is, what can he possibly do? Well, that's easy. Hire some suckers to protect his wares for him!
That said, Flamon is a bit of a cheapskate. He's not willing to part with anything of excessive value for this. Which is why he has sent out posters, recruiting a small number of Digimon- Champion level, so they won't require too much in the way of pay- to guard his store for a week. In return, eh, he'd let them grab some of the cheap crap he's amassed over the years. Seriously, how else is he supposed to get rid of all these Hadoukens? Surely there will be some suckers willing to do work for this crap.
As you approach the shop, something unusual happens. The door swings open, and the large Digimon known as Gorillamon is thrown out. "And don't come back, ya hear!" The speaker is none other than Flamon himself. "Aight, who's next!? Flamon calls as he wipes his hands, which may have gotten a little dirty when he punted Gorillamon onto the street. The ashamed Digimon quickly scurries off, not to be seen around these parts again. He did just get whooped by a Rookie, and an old man besides.
Asking any of the Digimon waiting around the room what is going on will yield the same answer- There was slightly more interest than Flamon expected, so he's resorted to holding interviews. Gorillamon didn't agree with his rejection, and his complaint was thrown out. Literally.
It seems you may have to wait a bit for your turn. This is a good chance to socialize with other applicants. Most have already interviewed, and are just waiting their turn. It seems you are one of three who have yet to talk with the grizzled shop owner- And all three of you seem to stand out in the crowd. After all, one is a modified Renamon, and two others appear to be a pair of humans accompanied by rookies- Which is not a rare sight in a shop like this, but it appears none others have deigned to apply thus far.
Choose among yourselves who will be the first to interview while the other two socialize outside. But don't take too long, now, or Flamon may become impatient and choose for you.
