It was an unusually warm day for this time of year in Whitewater City. Perfect conditions for a thing Colin James had been planning for his twin partners for a while now. His adventures with the two of them through the digital world was... quite amazing and he loved every moment they spent together.
But now in exchange for them covering him, it was his turn to cover them. Namely a fear that Bellamy the Impmon and Luke the Elecmon had been harboring for a while now. He would finally attempt to teach them how to swim.
Colin was somewhat shocked to hear that both of them had grown a small fear of water. They had told the story of how they almost drowned in a frozen lake in Snowflake Village in their previous lives. Obviously that would make them frightened, especially if they remembered it.
But that would hopefully change. Colin had been taught how to swim in Omaha by instructors for elementary school, and he would use the lessons he learned in order to teach these two to swim as well.
"Ready guys?" Colin asked them as they walked toward the city pool, hoping it wouldn't be too busy. He was dressed in a t-shirt and board shorts, the black-haired boy pretty much dressed as any other for the occasion.
"Yeah, might as well" Bellamy said, the purple furred Impmon keeping pace to his right. "Just be careful of thunderbutt here" he looked at Luke. "I don't wanna be zapped if he's in the pool too"
Luke scowled, but acknowledged that as a valid enough concern to respond. "I keep telling you, Bellamy, I control my electric attacks so I won't electrocute anyone while I'm in there" he said. Bellamy made a grunt to show he heard and understood.
They reached the pool and was glad to see that not many individuals were in it. Just a few digimon (mostly aquatic) and maybe some humans? Of course understandable that some would be here on a warm day in this city.
Colin paid the admission and led his partners to the shallow end of the pool. He made an example of what they were doing by taking off his t-shirt, dropping the towels next to him. Luke and Bellamy did the same, taking off their scarves and Bellamy's gloves (the Impmon somewhat reluctant).
"Hmph, y'know I feel naked without these" Bellamy said, looking a little uncomfortable without his red garments.
"You are naked, Bellamy, all the time" Colin said, grinning.
"Yeah yeah" Bellamy said, his tail flicking irritably. "At least I didn't try on a pair of speedos like bunny-boy here" he pointed at Luke.
"Well you're always telling me I should be on the lookout for some cuties" Luke said, loftily. Thankfully the speedos were nowhere to be found, Luke apparently finding them a bit too tight.
While they were bickering, Colin borrowed some flotation equipment for their lessons. "When you're ready guys" he said, climbing down the steps into the pool. The water barely covered his waist, the perfect depth to teach these two. As Bellamy and Luke gradually climbed in too, Colin looked around the pool, wondering if there was anyone here that he recognized.

As much as Cion enjoyed supporting her brother Owen in making the world a tiny bit better everyday, it was time she deserved a free weekend for herself, unhindered by decuman ambitions. The Gaomon had seen no point in traveling to a city mostly known for its beaches during winter, but the Arnamon was too fascinated by the leaflet about it to suppress her curiosity. The post New Year festivities were intriguing her, so it was without hesitation she left Owen by himself for a couple of days in Terminus City. He likely did not mind some free days without her presence anyway, and it would make the reunion all the more heartfelt.
Due to its location on the digital planet, it was quite warm considering what season it was. It was not an unbearable heatwave like those occurring on the southern half of the globe, but it was still hot enough to swim without having to fear hypothermia. That and the sunny day made her decision to rest on a sunbed near the city's main pool unadulterated. Simply relaxing there without equipment at hand, only her scarf around her neck and purchased sunglasses resting on her forehead, she gazed towards the blue sky to enjoy her daydreaming. That and her iced tea through a straw.
The only a couple of dozens of people around the huge place did not bother her at all, not even when they talked a bit louder than it was polite. It was a place of amusement, and Cion had long since learned to focus her mind to such a state that minor sensations would be nullified. She could simply spent time with herself, think about what she wanted to do in the future, about her relationship with those she knew, especially Owen... all of that unhindered by any tasks or obligations that gnawed at her leisure time. It was all simply... so peaceful.
"Okay, I'm bored now!" She suddenly exclaimed, bestirring herself to sit up and stretch her groggy limbs. Putting her big glass filled with iced tea on a small table nearby, she dangled her legs over the even paving tiles, observing the occurrences that were happening around the pool. Nothing too interest, just a couple of digimons and humans enjoying their day. Yawning, she was suddenly startled when she noted the presence of three familiar entities.
"Colin, Luke and Bellamy?" She spoke under her breath. And when she saw the flotation devices meant for the two digimons, the human apparently teaching them to swim, she pulled her sunglasses under her eyes and gazed at them with a raised eyebrow. She was not quite sure if she was supposed to look amused or baffled. They were learning to swim in the In-Training section of the pool, which was both adorable and a bit creditable. Hey, they wanted to learn a new skill, so far was it from her to ridicule them... even if it was a bit comical.
When Colin appeared to look around for other people and eventually spotted her, she grinned cordially at him and waved to him with only her fingers moving, not her hand. She figured she should not disturb their lesson without their consent, so if this would be all the interaction they would do for now, she would be fine with that and take a swim as well.

Colin spotted the lavender digimon waving at him. "Ah, Cion!" he exclaimed, waving back at her. Luke and Bellamy looked up too, both of them in a little discomfort at being seen like this, with the water up to Bellamy's chest and Luke having the water up to his shoulders. But their feet were firmly on the pool floor, so they weren't in any trouble. And the water wasn't cold, but Bellamy still didn't really like being seen without his scarf.
Seeing a friend here with them, it made Colin feel a bit more comfortable about them being here. "In case it's not obvious, I'm just teaching these guys to swim" he smiled at her. "You're welcome to watch, or join in, just I've gotta focus on these two. I'd love to chat though".
"Hi, Cion" Luke said, raising a paw from the water, looking a bit embarrassed. Even though the Elecmon looked quite stocky, most of his 'bulk' was actually fluffy fur, and with it wet like this, he looked rather skinny. Bellamy was mostly the same, although he always appeared as skinny.
"Heya" Bellamy said, then turned to Colin. "Well then, what've we gotta do?"
Colin looked to his partners. "Well, the first thing you have to do is just float" he said. Both of them tilted their heads with confusion. "It'll be fine, you can just hold on to me, and just stay at the surface" he said, offering a hand to both of them.
Supposing this seemed alright as a first step, Bellamy and Luke held on to Colin's hands, then slowly let the water's surface hold them.
"...oh my god" Bellamy said, amazed. "Heh! Yeesh and I thought I'd sink straight to the bottom!"
"This is kinda relaxing" Luke admitted. Colin smiled at them, then turned up to Cion.
"Say, can you swim too, Cion?" he asked the Arnamon, curiously.

Colin spotted her rather quickly, and his greeting was casual to say the least, but then again she had reaped what she had down. She figured the human boy was really determined on teaching his digi-partners to swim, and the two lads appeared embarrassed about her seeing them, which was why she at first thought that they would prefer to be by themselves.
"Eeyup. Don't let yourself be bothered by me." The Arnamon responded with an equally warm smile Colin gave her. Just as she was about to get up to get herself some more delicious iced tea, the boy surprisingly invited her to stick with them to enjoy some friendly banter. "With pleasure!" She exclaimed, hopping over to the trio and sitting on the edge of the pool, the lower half of her legs dipping into the water so she could enjoy the pleasant sensation of cool, crystal-clear water.
"Hi Colin! Hi Luke! Hi Bellamy!" She greeted all of them with liveliness in her voice. She openly displayed how delighted she was to have met them here, her ennui having faded instantly with their encounter. "No reason to be embarassed! Learning is always commendable." She commented when she yet again saw Luke's expression of abashment, hoping it would encourage them to keep on learning to swim. Besides, if she would be inside the water, her fur and pelt would sack as well, so there was no reason nor desire within her to laugh at them. They were her friends, and she always wanted her friends to blossom!
Cion watched them learning the first step of swimming, which was to properly stay afloat. It was a skill they acquired quickly, which rejoiced the Arnamon. "If you need assistance, I always have my 'Translucent Cage' ability." She offered them, they likely remembering this ability from the one time within the Blimpmon where she had prevented some item from falling to the ground and breaking.
What was it again; a cup, a plate, a vase... maybe a bowl? She forgot, and it did not matter anyway. What mattered is that she could always make them float to prevent them from sinking. Sure, they already had floating devices at their disposal, but... better safe than sorry. And maybe the feeling of being protected alone was enough to hearten her two friends.
She was glad to see them enjoy swimming, because it in general was a relaxing activity; balm for the soul even. Turning her head to face Colin, she carried a toothy smile, her fangs sticking out as always, when she answered his question with a coltish tone. "Of course. I am gracile and agile. Hence swimming is almost as natural to me as for an aquatic digimon." She said before looking back at the the digimons with the electrokinetic and pyrokinetic powers. "No resentment, hehe; you are doing fine and you got much more firepower than I." Cion commented with a big grin.
She had made notice of how Luke and Bellamy treated each other. Lots of teasing, lots of flouts and defamations; but with affection instead of malice as they wanted to encourage each other to improve. While Cion was somewhat cheeky, she preferred to be more eloquent. Regardless, stepping out of her shadow for once and teasing the duo would not hurt their relationship, right? And whatever they got for her in return, she would gladly take it.
It made her think... how was her relationship with Owen by now? Had their sibling love established itself already?

By now, Luke and Bellamy saw Cion as a face they were glad to see. They didn't really feel embarrassed around her, given that they never really felt judged by her and she was always pleasant and cheerful to them. Bellamy was kind of glad that he wasn't currently being seen by someone he saw as a rival, now that would be embarrassing.
Then Cion offered to use her Transclucent Cage ability if they ended up in physical trouble in the water. "Well, thanks, Cion, that'd help a lot if it's an emergency" Colin said, smiling. While he had been confident he would be able to help his partners by himself, having an extra set of eyes on the pool was always helpful.
She also said she could swim fine. "Heh, nice. I'm pretty sure these guys can swim naturally too, but... this is mainly so they can face their fear".
Bellamy agreed this was kind of the truth. So far his only memory with being immersed in water was being thrown into a frozen lake in Snowflake village to save Luke and almost ending up with them both drowning - their bodies screaming with pain from the freezing water. But this... heh, he kinda felt silly for being scared of it.
"Okay. The next step, floating by yourself" Colin said. "Think you two are okay with that?"
"...I don't know" Luke admitted. "I mean, what do we do if we float off to the deep end?". Saying this made Bellamy look up with a bit of worry too.
"Guys don't worry, there's ten metres before it gets too deep for you and if you drift off I'll bring you back to the shallow end" Colin assured his partners. "I promise, okay? If you can't float, you can just stand back up until you get the hang of it"
Well, the twins had come so far, and they trusted that Colin knew what he was doing, so, reluctantly, they let go, gently floating on their backs. If anything, it only made them feel more relaxed. It was pretty serene, just floating on the cool water. There was a moment of panic when Bellamy began to sink, but Colin was there and he could simply stand up.
"Just make sure to keep your lungs full okay, Bellamy?" Colin told him. The Impmon nodded and resumed floating.
"Hmm... out of curiosity, Colin, what's the next step?" Luke asked. Colin made sure neither of them drifted off to the deep end.
"Next, you're going to try breathing out while underwater" Colin said. "Still in the shallow end, don't worry"
"What's the purpose of that?" Luke asked, curiously.
"Well you need to breathe out while your face is in the water, otherwise you can faint easier if you just keep on holding your breath" Colin explained. "It'll be helpful when you're swimming for real, don't worry".
Bellamy and Luke were by now kind of confident that Colin knew what he was doing, so they just continued to float for a little while. Luke then ended up floating near Cion.
"Hiya" he said. "Learned any new tunes on that ocarina of yours?" he asked, interested.

While not a necessity, Colin suggested that Cion's 'Translucent Cage' ability could be used in the unlikely occurence that one of them got in a physical emergency, maybe due to their floaters breaking or something like that. While not as direct as she preferred, she liked to know that she gave them the feeling of protection in case something might go wrong. "My pleasure!" She responded with a dominant tone of confidence in her voice.
"Ah, I see!" She commented when the boy stated that Bellamy and Luke were likely capeable of swimming, though were a little bit afraid of doing so. It was a normal fear, since water was not their natural habitat. And looking at the two digimons, she started to think that they had already conquered the core of this fear. Now, it was all about attaining familiarization, hence Colin trained them.
Seeing Luke afrad of drifting off made her chuckle a little; not because she was laughing at him but because he seemed so adorable and innocent in this moment. "And don't forget, I am here to help as well!" She added to Colin's reassurence, giving her chest a little hit so demonstrate her reliance. And with or without her presence, they eventually mustered the courage and let go off their digi-destined.
For a moment, they simply relaxed as they drifted on the water, making Cion carry a rapt smile. She was happy that they learned so successfully. For a moment, it looked like Luke lost control, but with the support of Colin, he simply stood up again without being harmed. Perhabs the process was not as quick as she had thought, but only trial and error allowed acquisition of many physical skills in her humble opinion.
Luke had a justified question however, which was what the next step would be. Colin stated that it would be them learning to breath out underwater, explaining the purpose of it being to prevent blackout from breathlessness. She honestly did not qutie understand the logic behind that, but the human boy appeared to be the expert in this subject, so she would not dare question his well-meant guidance.
Practicing that technique for a while, Luke eventually floated over to hear, causing her to smile down at him. "Well, I am usually only improvising, following my emotions so to say, but if there is something specific you want to hear I'm confident I can provide. An upbeat serenade maybe, or a calm minuet?" She asked him, not realizing that he likely had no idea about the technical terminology she was using.

Luke smiled back at Cion, glad she was there to help. As the Elecmon drifted in the water, he began to daydream a little. His fear of water had mostly gone in this moment, and he was proud of having a partner like Colin. He wondered if he should tell the story of how he became twins with Bellamy as a means of thanking him? And he could mention it to Cion too. Maybe later on after their next exercise?
He was glad that she could oblige with a tune on her ocarina. "Hmm, a calm song sounds pretty neat" he answered, interested to see what she came up with.
"Alright I guess I've got the hang of floating now" Bellamy said after a few more minutes, turning himself upright so he stood in the water again. "We've gotta practice breathin' and stuff next, right?"
"Yeah that's right" Colin said. "Just stick your heads underwater for a few seconds and breathe out, then come back up and breathe in"
All that amounted to was crouching and standing for the twins. Since their ears were under a lot and nobody could hear much of anything over bubbles, there wasn't much opportunity for conversation with Cion. After a few minutes, Colin thought they got the hang of it, glad that neither of them had burst into a coughing fit from swallowing water.
"Alright, nice job" Colin said, grinning. "Now, next lesson, you two are gonna learn how to swim with these" he held up two yellow foam kickboards.
"The heck are those?" Bellamy asked, blinking.
"They're kickboards. You hold them in front of you and all you have to do is kick along" Colin said, and demonstrated, swimming from one side of the pool to the other. Luke and Bellamy nodded, starting to get the hang of it. They held the boards out in front of them, and both began to propel themselves forward, kicking. Luke was a bit slow since his feet were smaller than Bellamy's, but, both of them had huge grins on their faces as they realized just how much progress they were making.

"A calm song it is!" She immediately exclaimed as an answer to Luke's quest, which was in hindsight quite ironic. Thinking about how a symphony about sunshine, water and tranquility would sound like, she at first hummed the first couple of seconds to herself to get a good feeling for her improvised creation. Nodding eventually, she used her 'Translucent Cage' ability to toss her instrument from the chair into her hands. Pressing her crystalline ocarina against her lips, its faint prismatic colors reflected a bit stronger than usual due to the semi-glare of the sun. Thankful there were only a couple of digimons and humans were nearby as she did not want to bother them, she started play her ~ calm melody~At first, her eyes were closed as to fully focus on the creation she wished to present, but eventually they opened to behold Luke & Bellamy further. What better inspiration than those who were the very reason she was sitting here on the edge of the pool to play a song in the first place? For now, they could simply float on the water and relax, and just maybe they even listened to her piece of music and enjoyed it. And when the short song was over, she moved the ocarina away from her lips and took in a deep, yet gentle breath. " Thank you for your request, Luke." She spoke honestly, feeling very unwound due to her performance. Tossing her instrument back to her sunbed, she continued to watch the training Colin was imposing on the two. This time, it was about holding their breath, something she was as an ocarina-player obviously proficient in. Cion did not mind that there was not much of an option for the two to talk with her at the moment, still enjoying the serenity caused by her play. And it was only a couple of minutes that they required to get the hang of it. The next training session was one that promised to be lot of fun, one way or the other. Water-kickboards; those were insidious objects, at least when having to deal with waves. But as always, as the expert the human boy was, Colin demonstrated how to use them properly by swimming from one side of the pool to the other. Luke and Bellamy followed his instructions properly, and appeared to enjoy themselves as well, which delighted the Arnamon. "The arm-movement is going to be the most tricky part." She turned to Colin with a wide grin while the two digimons were on the other side of the pool. She wondered how the teenager would handle that kind of training, though she was optimistic about it, again one way or the other.

Luke really appreciated Cion's song as he floated in the water. He looked up at Cion as she played, appreciating the beautiful instrument. He hoped that it sounded as good as it looked. And by thunder, it did. As she played, with his own fears about the water below fading away, he felt fully encouraged.
Before now, he thought that water would forever be a crippling fear. However, by now, he was feeling that he could overcome it. As Cion played her song, Luke thought he wanted to tell them the story of how they met. He spoke to them all, Colin, Bellamy and Cion.
"Hey, have I ever told you guys how me and Bellamy became twins?" he asked out loud.
"Luke..." Bellamy said, hesitantly. "You sure you wanna tell this?"
"Yeah... it's part of our history, right? It can't be changed" Luke said. Bellamy nodded. Luke continued after a pause. "The two of us, we used to be mercenaries"
"Mercs? Like Blimpmon?" Colin asked, interested to hear.
"Yeah... kinda, we sold our services to other digimon and humans that wanted our help, so that's how we got by in the old days" Luke said, continuing to float around. He appreciated it when Colin gently nudged him back toward the shallow end. "Then one day, we decided that this life was too dangerous... when we did that mission up in the North".
"Ah, that one..." Bellamy said, unhappy. "Yeah... we nearly drowned because neither of us knew how to swim when we were hurled into the lake".
"But we were saved though" Luke added. "Afterward, we decided not to be mercs anymore, because... well... a job like that. When two digimon love each other that much, it's not really worth having a career where you could die at any time"
"...damn it, Luke" Bellamy muttered, wishing he wouldn't be so sappy, but, it was the truth. Bellamy and Luke did love each other back then. But of course, the story about how they became twins was more than that. If Cion was interested, they'd explain more.
After they practiced their breathing exercises and then practiced on their kickboards, it seemed they were almost ready for the final part of their lesson. But, they'd pause to wait a bit. Just in case Cion wanted to discuss with them a little bit more.
Colin, meanwhile, was listening with utmost attention. He hadn't heard Bellamy and Luke's story before now. And he was kind of eager for them to finish it.

Cion did not mind that there was no applause or gratitude for her fulfilled musical request. She had enjoyed it a lot herself, and seeing Luke so cathartic gave her more contentedness than words could ever do. And as everything turned silent and the two digimons took a break from their swimming lesson, Luke suddenly spoke up about something that was deeply personal. It made her become absolutely quiet, letting the Elecmon know that she would always be there to lend an ear.
When Luke rhetorically asked her and Colin if they knew their origin story, she of course shook her head. Bellamy was not too sure if this was even a story to be shared, but his twin quickly convinced them that it was part of their history and that it could not be denied. In any case, he understood they had been mercenaries, which was not a bad job in itself.
Mercs, Blimpmon being the greatest example, were simply digimon that would solve problems of others. Heck, Cion had done the same with Owen for a while, and they were paragons of virtue. Sure, a noteworthy percentage of mercenaries were ruthless if not iniquitous, but she refused to believe these two jocular rascals could ever be like that. Quickly dismissing the thought, she simply continued to listen and think about the story told.
Luke and Bellamy explained that the experience of nearly drowning made them quit this activity, as it could occur again in one of their jobs. In Cion's eyes, it was not a really sound reason, but she did not dare mocking them for their traumatic experience and change of heart. After all, alongside Colin, they were doing great for themselves, so it surely had been a good decision. Besides... it seemed their affectionate bond was much more important to them than a mercenary carrier, which was totally understandable. "I wonder if I still have such a bond with Owen..." She whispered with a cheerless voice, nothing that was actually directed at any of the three of them. But hey, even she had more sides to her than just her miasmic elation, and sometimes she just could not repress her thoughts.
Snapping out of it, she scratched her chin briefly, thinking about the two digimon's words. "Twins that love each other that much..." Cion uttered, remembering everything she had experienced together with Owen, especially during the night of the shooting star. "... Is there a chance this is not your first life cycle together? Because... that goes for me and Owen." She asked them, though with certain reserve as she knew from personal experience that is was a... dolorous topic.
If not, she of course understood that and tried to get the negative thoughts out of her system. The last thing she wanted was to be impaired in her ability to help them in case something got wrong.

As Luke told the story, Colin supposed that was enough swimming lessons for now. They had been in the water for quite a long time and were very fast learners. Maybe they could come back again later and Colin could teach them the rest? But they still at least were content to remain in the water, given that their bodies were used to it by now.
Colin noticed that Cion seemed a bit downcast about something. He wondered if she would share, but she didn't in the end, so he supposed it wasn't any of his business. He hoped that the twins' story wasn't causing it though.
Then Cion asked a question that maybe they had spent more than one life cycle together? This made Luke seriously think. "Maybe... I mean... when Bellamy and I first met"
Bellamy made a loud cough, giving Luke a serious look, shaking his head. He didn't want that part of the story told. Not yet. Luke got the message.
"I mean to say, Bellamy and I became friends pretty quickly when we first met" Luke corrected himself. "Although... I don't remember much past my previous life. But, yep, heh, I still feel warm when I remember us back then, Impy" he finished, playfully using the name he had used back then.
"You still love me don't you, Leky?" Bellamy asked, playfully, faking a little swoon and leaned onto Luke's arms, his heavier weight supported by the water.
"Heh of course I do" Luke said, smiling back at him, patting the smiley face on his chest. He then looked at Cion. "I mean yeah we're digimon brothers now but I still let Bellamy cuddle me or fondle my butt if he wants to-"
"Hey, don't talk like that in front of ladies!" Bellamy snapped, splashing him playfully. Luke giggled, he was so soaked by now that it made little difference.
"Or... 13 year olds" Colin muttered. But he found their conversation funny. "But you feel a similar bond with Owen, right?" he asked Cion, suddenly noting that Owen wasn't here. Maybe that was the thing that was making Cion down?
"Heh, yeah, when we met Owen, he said he was really proud of having you as a sister" Bellamy assured Cion. "He also mentioned that he thinks both him and you should go around makin' more friends? But he'd always see you as part of his family, at least I think?"
"Yeah, he did say that" Luke said, although he noted that at this point they were probably getting a bit nosy so he let go of Bellamy leaning on him. Bellamy gave a yelp, lost his balance, and fell underwater for a moment. "Anyways, how did we do today, Colin?" he asked.
Bellamy re-surfaced, muttering a little, but he heard enough of Luke's statement to be curious.
"Well, you've caught on a lot faster than I thought you would've, so well done guys" Colin said, pleased. "If you wanna continue the lessons later, we can do that tomorrow if you like? I think the weather will still be warm"
"Heh, alright" Bellamy said. "Well, we're about to come out, Cion, so best take cover if you don't want water shaken everywhere!" he gave advance warning as they made their way to the ladder.

Kind of thankful they had apparently not heard her words of uncertainty, she listened as Luke stated that they were not certain if this was their first life or not. However, he pointed out that they became friends unusually quickly, and that there was something they felt connected them beyond just this life. And seeing how they fondled each other with cute words, Cion realized that it did not truly matter. They were so happy and adorable together, it created a beaming smile on her lips that pushed aside all negative thoughts. Impy & Leky... truly enchanting.
When Luke teasingly talked about naughty interactions between them, it made her laugh, knowing that it was just their typical rascal-shtick. They were brothers, in a similar way to what she was to Owen, so something like that was not typical. Not that she minded; she was too liberal to see much value in tradition and societal restraints, especially those that seperated those that cared for each other. "A fair lady is one with a sense of humor, darling:" She playfully commented to Bellamy's insistence on more appropriate topics to talk about. In any case, she'd probably stick to cuddling.
Right on cue, Colin asked the Arnamon if she felt similar towards her big Gaomon brother Owen, to which she nodded with a dreamy smile. "Yes... since a couple of lives already." Cion responded, faint memories of her past lives appearing in front of her inner eye. Except her form, their lives had never changed drastically. They found each other early on, pursued some sort of sentinel-career, and lived happily for centuries until it was time for digital palingenesis. This life seemed barely different, though noticeably... more anharmonic. They were family, brothers and sisters, but what that would truly mean she still had to find out. This uncertainty made her uneasy about the future.
"He did?" Cion more gasped than spoke as she hastily turned to Bellamy. It at first deeply warmed her heart, but the words thereafter tainted it with aforementioned uncertainty. "Well..." She spoke quietly, taking in a deep breath before continuing. "... I have you three. And Brad, and Pipmon. Arguably Katsura and Nyao. That's fine with me; I like my friends well-chosen." She explained herself, obviously implying that she was very fond of Colin, Luke and Bellamy as her companions.
She sighed, knowing she had to take things easier. All of these worries and uncertainties only pained her soul, there was nothing to be gained from it. For now, she simply observed how the trio interacted with each other again, which eased her mind. She liked what she saw, and if it was what family meant, then how could she possibly be doleful? Perhabs it was simply something she had to get used to, vanquishing a mental discomfort originating from pasts she had no certain memories about. Maybe... she had to learn to let go! Was that why Owen was so calm about everything? He seemed very focused on the present and future, so perhabs that was truly it. Maybe she should ask him.
Snapping out of her thoughts, she nodded as she stood up and got away from the pool's edge, giving Luke and Bellamy space to shake themselves clean. After that... well... good question. "Now what?" She asked them, wondering if they had anything on their memo book that she might join.

"Heh, see? Cion doesn't mind" Luke assured Bellamy, glad that his cheeky talk wasn't seen as a negative. "And who would've thought you would suddenly get all uppity about politeness, Mr. "I wear a shirt only to draw attention to the fact that I don't wear pants"?"
"Hmph, well, Coronamon likes it" Bellamy pouted, folding his arms, looking smug. "I call it 'classy and easy access' fashion"
"Okay, guys, stop, please" Colin asked, not really wanting to have this talk continue, mainly because he was coming over all giggly all of a sudden. 13 years old he might be, hearing this kind of dirty talk and not having any grown-ups around to snap at them to stop, it was really a bit of freedom that he loved having in the digital world.
Colin meanwhile paid attention to Cion, feeling somewhat happy to hear that digimon had brothers and sisters too that weren't necessarily twins. Although he didn't really understand much about this thing about digimon having multiple lives. "I wish I got along with my brother and sister as much as you guys do" he remarked. He did kind of like Sophie and Riku, but not to the degree that the digimon seemed to like theirs.
The three of them felt even more touched when Cion said she regarded them as her friends. "Aw, ain't that sweet?" Bellamy asked. "Well, you're welcome to hang out with us anytime!" he said, climbing out of the pool.
As they shook themselves off, using towels to dry off their fur (not in Colin's case obviously, simply drying his skin), Cion asked what they were going to do next.
"Well, we're probably gonna hit the town now" Bellamy said, eagerly. "Right Colin? I'm sure we've got lots of awesome stuff to buy, like, a movie we could all watch, or go to some live concert even! I hear Guns'n'Ramen are playin' here tonight, eh?"
"We'll see" Colin said, immediately feeling embarrassed about using the nonchalant words his parents used when he asked for a treat. "Well, regardless, if you're hanging out in Whitewater, you can stick with us if you like" he offered Cion.

Cion listened for a while about their continued teasing banter, and she finally found out that Bellamy's speclal somemon was apparently a Coronamon. "I wish you the best." She spoke with a gentle voice, truly wanting the Impmon and his digimon-partner to have a happy future in unity. The innuendos were beyond her since she did not have much experience with human realationships, but it made Colin constantly giggle and eventually intervene, leading her to be curious. Perhabs one day, she'd read a book about this kind of stuff.
Eventually, the young teenager spoke up about his experience with his siblings, making the Arnamon frown a little. "Oh poor you..." She whispered before approaching him as far as she could without stepping into the water; not that the three of them were not leaving the pool already since the lesson was over for today. Jumping upwards a couple of times, she gave the much taller human a couple of reassuring pats on his shoulder. "You have us! And I'm sure that's something that can be fixed." Cion assured him that she and his partners would be by his side if he needed support of any kind.
The small digimon was enrapt by the fact they once again approved of her being their friend, a statement she wholeheartedly appreciated. "Be careful, I might take the offer and whine about freeloading again." She teasingly responded to Bellamy, having attained a much more healthy attitude towards sharing and caring ever since their meeting. No longer was she desperate about compensation, though she of course took pride in being of support if need arose.
Now where all was set in done however, the question arose what they would do next, with of course Cion wondering if she would be involved in that activity at all or not. Bellamy displayed his desire to go shopping, which of course reminded the Arnamon that they were quite wealthy. Not that she was not happy for them and that she was not enjoying her own home with Owen, but it made her question if she had done wrong decisions in her life. Not that she could not simply change her mind on a whim and attempt to join PROFIT instead of Terminus City's action force.
"Of course I'd like to join in; I have hollidays here in a nearby hostel so I got time." She immediately took Colin's offer with a big grin. Quickly rushing over to her lounger, she put on her sunglasses and her waist pocket for her ocarina and returned to the group, ready whenever they were. "Let's have fun!"
