Isaac was definitely something else, wasn't he? At this point, Mana wasn't sure if she'd get out-stubborned by him. If that word even existed, that is! "Deal. Sounds fair to me, but you should be aware that you've picked a worthy opponent on that regard!" If the redhead had any doubts about both Elliot and Isaac being amazing individuals, those were pretty much nonexistent right now; she didn't know why, but for that brief moment, she felt genuinely lucky about meeting them.
Smiling brightly at his words, it was a bit of a shame that an otherwise happy moment had been ruined by her next question. Elliot's subsequent apology was making feel her even worse, too; this was probably her worst screw up thus far. "Alright. If you say so..." There was a sour taste in her mouth, but probably it'd vanish soon enough. "Thanks." At least he was being a good game about this; that much she could appreciate.
Apparently, not even the idea of swimsuits being for renting managed to convince the brothers about the swimming pool. And by the look of it, it seemed that Elliot had the issue with it; understandable. "Very well then. Massages it is!" Pumping up a fist in the air with excitement, Mana began to tread on the supposed direction where those were being given. "No idea, but it can be pretty much anything, as far as I know!"
In the room itself, they'd find a lot of interesting individuals both being given and giving massages. All sizes and shapes, from Tontomon to Gesomon; the sight was breathtaking... and slightly weird. Still, that was no reason to be worried!
"I think I'll pick one of those Swimmons. Wonder how they even manage to be masseurs! What about you, guys?"

"Bring it on." With a taunting smirk on his face, those were the last words Isaac had to say on the matter. Elliot could practically feel the aura of a freshly made challenge crackling between the two. For a second he was afraid that Isaac's fatigue had dampened his spirit a bit, but instead it was clear that Isaac was still eager and ready to go. It was a refreshing reminder of just how resilient his brother could be. Was it silly of Elliot to worry? After all, he was the younger of the two. Nevertheless, Isaac was important to him, so he really couldn't help but worry. It just seemed to run in the family!
Less refreshing was the sadness currently between Mana and him. Why did he have to wear his heart on his sleeves all the time? Now he went and made her sad on a day that was supposed to be all about fun. "I don't say so, I know so," he insisted. "You're a good friend, okay? I know you didn't mean to say anything that'd upset me. I promise, I'll tell you if I'm ever not fine with something." He couldn't help insisting on the point. He was way too guilty over this!
That said, maybe a good massage would help him get over these worries. Mana's choice of masseuse was . . . a fish? Isaac couldn't help but laugh at her "interesting" decision as he tried to imagine how the heck it would work. "Is it just gonna flop on your back or something?" he asked, bouncing one of his hands off of the other in an impromptu attempt at demonstrating it.
"I dunno, if it has a massage license it must actually be pretty good at it, right?" Elliot asked. Elliot's imagination was much the same as Isaac's, but now the fish was doing spins, backflips, and all sorts of cool tricks in the process. Apparently style was what qualified as a properly good massage.
As for who they would get massages from? That was much more up in the air. Elliot found himself bashfully turning away from more humanlike Digimon such as D'arcmon or Kazemon, eventually going for the "comforting" visage of a Mekanorimon. Apparently he wanted the least awkward circumstance possible. Getting one with mechanically-precise calibrations was just a side bonus.
Isaac, on the other hand? "I'm feeling lucky today," he said upon getting to the front counter. "Surprise me!"
There was no way that could end well. Or could it?

Accepting Isaac's defiant smirk with one of her own, Mana let the topic slide. How far they'd go with their small competition? Who knew! Only time would be able to tell.
Regarding her honest mistake with Elliot, the redhead was genuinely baffled about the younger brother's insistence. Did he really mean those words with such stubbornness? She definitely gave him credit for it. "Thanks. I count on you on that one." Smiling at those words, Mana decided that, the sooner they arrived there, the better.
Said and done! The masseurs of choice were probably something that could differ as much as the person as asking for them. While Mana choose a Swimmon, Elliot preferred to go with a Mekanorimon. Isaac? Isaac asked for a surprise. And he'd get it.
The Mojyamon at the counter gazed at him, his smile growing wide. "Alright!" Gesturing towards the back of the counter, a Witchmon emerged, the one that has superbig hands, just for clarity's sake. Smiling widely at Isaac, she gestured for him to follow her with a wave of her hand.
So, everyone went to their respective massage tables and the masseurs began their work. Mana had to admit that, for a digimon that small, Swimmon was surely doing an amazing work at undoing the knots on her back. "This is life. Coming here was a great idea."
She could remain like this for a good while, for sure! "How're you guys doing? And what do you wanna do after this?"

Isaac couldn't help but smirk at Mana holding Elliot to his words. "You kidding? My bro's so reliable, he makes me look like a slacker," he said, the tone of his voice quite proud.
"But you are a slacker," Elliot said, giving his brother a teasing elbow. "All that homework you left on your bed says that, at least."
"Not gonna let a few books get in the way of what matters most," Isaac said matter-of-factly. What that something was, of course, was going to go unstated for the time being. Isaacs worked in mysterious ways.
Apparently, those mysterious ways included summoning a big-headed witch with giant hands. Briefly, Isaac wondered how many clients here made the same "magic fingers" joke when they hired her for a massage. Nevertheless, with how excited Mojyamon seemed about Isaac requesting the surprise, he had a feeling this was going to be a damn good massage.
Surely enough, it seemed that everyone was having a great time today. Even Mana's Swimmon was somehow doing its job amazingly judging by the high praise she was saying. Mekanorimon was working away at Elliot with mechanical precision, targeting every knot so strongly that he couldn't help but sigh in relief. Witchmon's big hands meant her massage was practically getting Isaac's entire back sorted out at once.
"This was a really good idea," Elliot said, Isaac nodding in agreement. It seemed everyone was more than happy with the service that they were getting. "I think I could stay here a lot longer, right bro?"
"Mmmhm." Isaac wasn't even responding fully! "I'm good for anything after this, really. We picked this one, so you can have next choice."

Mana couldn't but smirk at Elliot's jab at Isaac's being... not the best at doing his homework. She could get behind that; homework could be really boring at times! But stuff that had to be done had to be done, right? "What matters most sounds like a perfectly serviceable excuse, doesn't it?" Maybe it was a bit unfair for two to pick on the same person, but what could she say. That was a pretty good opportunity!
Maybe more of those opportunities would arise, eventually, but even if they did, the girl seemed to be a little too comfortable with the massage she was getting. "Yeaah. I could stay here all the day." Her voice was barely audible due to how relaxed she felt. The Swimmon was just too good. " What they would do next, though? As good as the massage was, they could be like that forever, right? Suddenly, an idea spring on Mana's mind, just alongside a smile on her face "What else we can do, uhhh... Well, have you guys ever been to a sauna? I haven't... or at least I don't remember being in one! Guess this is a good chance as any, so if yous are okay with that we can probably go there next."

"Hey, come on. That's not fair," Elliot said. Was he coming to his brother's defense despite all the teasing? "A perfectly serviceable excuse would have way more thought behind it," he added, dispelling any illusion of that notion in seconds.
"Ah, c'mon, bro. We all know you're the thinker in this family," Isaac protested, snickering a little. "How about you try putting some thought into it?"
"Oh, okay!" Elliot chirped. "You're gonna wait for Maia to finally buy that motorcycle of hers, then ride off into the sunset with her. And you'll leave your poor little brother to fend for himself."
"Tempting, but nah," Isaac said. "I couldn't just leave you hanging like that. Even when you're being a little pain in the butt."
"And here I thought I was being a big pain in the butt. Guess I gotta try harder," Elliot mused. The two continued debating through the entire massage in this fashion, trying their hardest not to laugh at each other.
That said, while this massage was great, they couldn't just stay here forever. "A sauna sounds really nice right now, I gotta admit," Elliot said.
"You sure?" Isaac asked. "If we get any more relaxed, I think we're gonna end up passing out."
"Is that really a bad thing?" Elliot asked. "We've been working so hard lately!"
Isaac let out a sigh, half relaxed and half relenting. "Hell, we earned it. If you want to give it a shot, Mana, we're game," Isaac decided.

Mana couldn't but giggle at Elliot's defense of his older brother. Heck, even Ayaka and Suzuran couldn't contain some snickers at it. "Well, that is definitely brotherly love, if I have seen it." Who'd say that even the digimon's would speak up to tease Isaac.
Yet, at the same time, Mana felt a little left out at the mention of Isaac's girlfriend. But that wasn't something she couldn't fix, right? "You guys still kinda owe to me that, you know? I hope you haven't forgotten about it, because I haven't!"
Still, it warmed her heart how much the two brothers cared about each other. Made her wonder if she ever had a relationship like that, or if she could attain it at any point. That amount of distilled camaraderie was really moving.
The sauna, right! Mana's thought focused back on the reality as she nodded vigorously and set off towards the right corridor. "You'll enjoy it. I'm sure of it!"
Walking towards the place didn't take them too much time, and, interestingly enough, it seemed that those weren't separated by genders! Something that made the girl... well, somewhat embarrassed. Then again, why they would? Digimons didn't have genders, after all. "Well... I guess here we are." This time, her voice sounded a way more flustered than usual. "Are you ready?"

Isaac smirked at the teasing coming his way from every direction. "I know, right?" he asked, voice somewhat dry and sarcastic. "I'm the luckiest brother in the world." Of course, as sarcastic as he was in the moment, both brothers could tell that Isaac genuinely meant it. The two exchanged a smile, a brief ceasefire in this war of brotherly teasing.
Mana didn't seem the happiest with the teasing, though. When Elliot mentioned Isaac riding off into the sunset, she immediately spoke up reminding them that they totally owed her an adventure. Was she the slightest bit jealous? If not of Maia, than of the idea of some sort of close companionship? "Hey, don't worry," Isaac reassured her, a warm yet teasing grin on his face. "When I'm gone you'll still have Elliot around. That's a fair consolation, right?"
"Don't worry, Mana. We'd never forget you," Elliot insisted, much more earnest than his brother's taunting. "Although maybe we could finish the rest of the trip after a brief stop home? I'm honestly kind of dead on my feet here, still." That said, a promise was a promise. Like hell Elliot would ever let Mana down.
The sauna was in sights, and Mana was starting to sound a lot more flustered. The fact that it was only one communal sauna might have contributed, but Elliot managed to completely miss that fact. As far as he saw, a sauna was just a sauna, right? That said, he was starting to have similar second thoughts when he saw the large bin for used towels and the long rows of lockers for personal belongings. "I can still keep most of this on, right?" he asked, looking down at his feet in embarrassment.
Isaac, on the other hand, was already in the process of whipping his shirt off. "Dunno," he said as he finished pulling it over his head. It was almost amazing how much gutsier he was about this situation than his companions. "But trust me, when the steam kicks in it'll all be worth it. I think."

Who'd have also said that Suzuran's words would also calm down the teasing tide between the brothers? If anything, both Mana and Ayaka had thought her intent was to further stoke the argument. Oh well, that would surely not be the only surprise they'd come across today... for sure.
What would constitute for a brief, if somewhat awkward moment for the onlookers rapidly transitioned into a renewed (or continued?) promise to continue their unfinished journey. Despite the teasing, it brought a smile to her face; funny how these two would become so carefree that suddenly. She wouldn't think about that for too much, though. "Sounds like a plan! What are we waiting for, then? Let's go!"
Regarding the Sauna itself, well... maybe it wasn't the best of ideas, but it was too late to back down, was it? Veeeeeeeeery well.
Hopefully, this would be fast.
Given they didn't have anything to get rid off, the faeries were naturally the first ones entering, the both of them not really understanding why the humans were... so flustered about it. Lest to say... the steam pretty much felt heavenly.
"Do you think they will join us anytime soon? I did not think they were this slow."
Ayaka couldn't but shrug at the statement. "Probably. Probably not."
Humans were weird like that.

Mana's Digimon didn't need to be alone for long. Isaac was in right behind them, letting out a satisfied sigh as the steam worked its way through every pore. He was surprisingly quick at going from full clothing to nothing but a towel, it seemed. "Elliot may be a rock when it comes to words, but he gets really bashful when it comes to his body. Honestly, I'm amazed he's rolling with this idea at all," he said, shrugging. "So, how's the journeying been?" Isaac asked. Before they had left Mana, there was one fairy and it was a newborn. Now there were two that looked almost like Rookies, or maybe really stumpy Champions. Digimon babies seemed to sprout up quite quickly, but they didn't usually split by binary fission.
That left Elliot and Mana to themselves, Elliot lingering between the hallway and the men's changing area. The areas looked really new and really cramped, considering that they were only built once humans started making their way into the Digital World. "Well, guess it's almost time for us to go," Elliot commented, still blushing a little from the idea of stripping down to nothing but a towel. Normally it'd be a regular bad idea, but with Mana around? Elliot was really, really bashful about the idea of getting naked around her. Judging by the slight fluster in her voice, Mana didn't seem to be the most comfortable with the idea either.
He turned to her, trying to smile reassuringly. "You sure you want to do this? It's okay if you don't want to," he said, voice gentle. "We could go do something else instead if you prefer." Part of him hoped that Mana would agree, but for the most part he was just looking out for her and her comfort. After she searched the Digital World for them (while ironically, they searched it for her), she deserved to be treated with comfort.

Isaac's question was an interesting one. Their travels? Well, they've been... pretty weird. Ayaka was the first to speak up. "I would say that overall, they had been pleasant thus far. While I was the second to hatch, I think I' have contributed a fair bit to Miss Mana's journeys. I am glad Suzuran could hold the situation until then. The Digital World can be pretty dangerous, right?"
Suzuran wasn't the type to bother with answers to these, but she still managed to spit a couple of words. "When the human is not being an annoyance, things are not half bad, I guess."
"Nevermind. How have your travels been? Hope we did not end up becoming an inconvenience given Miss Mana's... disappearance."
Eh. In the end, Mana concluded that life was just too short to be embarrassed about stuff like this. It didn't ease the feeling at all, but at least it made her walk to the changing room instead of freezing in her place like a deer in the headlights. Well, at least not before gazing at Elliot with a reassuring smile."Eh. Too late to chicken out at this point, don't you think? See ya at the sauna!" She had tried her best, but still, her voice managed to quake just a little bit from how nervous she felt. Still, she was bent on doing this.
The whole process was pretty fast, considering getting rid of summer clothes wasn't that complicated, and fixing a towel around her body was even less so. Less than five minutes later, the redhead was opening the sauna's door to get in; hopefully, he'd find the two brothers in there. For now, he saw that both Ayaka and Suzuran were enjoying themselves thoroughly.

It sounded like Mana's misadventures, short as they may have been so far, were surprisingly eventful and entertaining. "Glad to hear," Isaac said, grinning at Ayaka. "And danger? Oh boy, that's a long story. There's a lot of risk exploring, especially if you start getting far from the city. But Digimon can do a lot in a pinch, you know? My bro and I learn more about how we can fight each day, and that's done a lot to help pull our butts out of the fire. You guys'll find your way too, especially now that Mana's got her head back on straight."
Apparently she had been a bit of an annoyance, too. "Annoyance, huh? Sounds like you guys have some stories to tell," he said, a slightly mischievous grin on his face. He might have been lowkey checking in on a friend, or he might have just been peeping on on some drama. Really, who knows?
Elliot blushed a little, both from nerves and from the reassuring smile on Mana's face. Believe it or not, it helped him feel the slightest bit more confident. So did the fact that if he didn't go into the sauna, he'd just kind of be awkwardly sitting around while everyone else had fun. He softly returned Mana's smile, then walked to go to the other changing room.
When he emerged, the towel was basically wrapped from Elliot's ankle up. As a result he was far more shirtless than he was comfortable with, but anything was better than exposing the full extent of his bad leg. He would linger a little trying to get it wrapped up perfectly, Mana surely making it in before he did. That left him the last one in, Isaac waving him over to where the group was assembled. "Glad you could finally make the party," he said. "And here I thought you got lost on us."
"How're you guys liking the sauna so far?" Elliot said as he sat down, making sure to keep an Elliot-friendly distance away from others. A hand always hovered over his hip, as if making sure his towel wouldn't fall and show his leg off. Why did he do this? Why did he ever think this was a good idea?

The fairy's gaze relaxed at Isaac's words. She was glad that her human partner could make such genuine friendships in that short span of time. An amazing person, wasn't she? "I am glad that it is proving to be a manageable kind of danger, in all honesty. I would be pretty sad if a human found their demise in this wonderful land, would not it?"
In a sense... "It is not that much different from the world of humans. They have their own perils in there, you know? I would not risk saying that world is any safer than this one, they are just different. Just as the skills required for survival are different."
Suzuran, however, decided to stop talking in that very moment, just for Ayaka to take the word. "Do not mind Suzuran. She is a bit... let us say abrasive. She means well, but she can be a little harsh at times." A soundly hmph was the immediate reply.
"I do not have time for weaklings. I will be honest and say that this forced allegiance has me weary..."
Deciding to leave the topic as it currently was instead of prodding more, Mana just decided to ignore her bantering partners as she smiled at Elliot, who finally decided to get into the sauna. "About time! Glad you finally came in. Steam's pretty good!"
However, that didn't seem to make her peer any more comfortable, in fact... he seemed to be pretty bummed about it. "Is... something wrong?" Mana couldn't but ask, oblivious at why Elliot seemed to be so nervous now that he was actually inside. Guy was so good at concealing his bad leg that the redhead had totally forgotten about it.

"You got that right," Isaac said, letting out a relaxed sigh as the sauna's heat washed over him. "It might be a lot to take in at first, but man have I been enjoying this place. Great sights. Great people. Some action to get my blood pumping. S'long as I'm able to keep me and Elliot safe, it's all fine by me." Not that Elliot couldn't look after himself, of course! Isaac always had to worry about his little bro, though, because that was just how big brothers operated. Even if Elliot was five times stronger than him, Isaac would still be worried.
Elliot didn't exactly agree with Suzura's statement, if only because only one of these worlds had machine guns and rocket launchers strapped onto 99% of the populace. Still, that might've been because of being used to the human world. "I kinda prefer the dangers of my world," Elliot admitted. "It feels a lot less deadly to me. But the Digital World's been really nice too!" Now Elliot couldn't help but imagine what dangers a stranger to the human world would find. They'd probably find trouble a lot of the elements or organized society that the Digital World downplayed, if only due to having far more wilderness than the human world.
At mention of weaklings, Isaac cocked an eyebrow in interest. "Weaklings, huh?" he asked, a mischievous grin starting to spread across his face. "If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were underestimating me and my bro. Very interesting." Was the sauna really the right time to be throwing down gauntlets? Too bad!
Of course, he quickly changed focus to pay attention to what was really important. At Mana's innocuous question Elliot began furiously blushing, unconsciously sitting so his legs were closer together. That made it a tad bit less noticeable. "O-oh, n-no," Elliot stammered slightly. He tried to force a reassuring smile, but it just reinforced how awkward he looked at the moment. "I'm fine! Promise!"
"He's just shy about taking his shirt off," Isaac butted in, swooping in for the save. "You know how little brothers can get sometimes." Mana probably didn't, but the look in Isaac's eyes all but said "please say yes."

By this point, it was pretty clear that talking to Suzuran would be met with a rather caustic response. Not aggressive, but definitely not nice; and despite Ayaka's best efforts to curb that implied hostility, it was obvious that her older sister didn't care in the slightest about what the brothers thought about them.
For example, the Kodamon didn't have any qualms on arguing with the younger brother about something as trivial as an opinion. "You look like you ignore the true perils of both worlds. Earth, as you like to call it, is way more dangerous and deadly than most of the Digital World—you'll live a long life as long as you do not fail to remember that fact."
Her opinion was pretty clear on the matter, even if the most lethal dangers of both worlds were able to deeply scar or outright kill somebody. And getting over your head about your own abilities would only result in a headlong run towards your fate. "Facts cannot be denied. You are weak, just like your brother, my "tamer", my sister and even I. I sincerely hope you will not ever end up crashing headfirst into that fact because realizing one's own weakness when you need to be strong is when that feeling hurts the most."
The conversation probably had prolonged for too long. Both Mana, and especially Ayaka were uncomfortable with the Kodamon's speech, the latter making sure to express that right away. "Enough. We are here to unwind, not to have a conversation about this. It would be for the best for everyone if we just did what we came here for." Suzuran's only answer was a shrug, and that was how the fairy expected for the topic to die down.
Mana, deciding to instead face the way more interesting topic of Elliot's... nervousness? decided to smile at him in an attempt to make him feel better. "Alright. But if you're feeling uncomfortable, just say it, okay? I don't want for my friends to have a bad time if I can have a say about it!"
Isaac's own comment made her giggle, and she found herself nodding at it. "Well, if it helps anything, I was also pretty shy about taking my shirt off." Even if her reasons were of the biological order, at least that was the truth! "Wish I had a small bro or sis to know, that one, though."
For a moment, she seemed thoughtful, almost as if pondering about that one comment. "How do you think they'd be? If I had a younger sibling, I mean. Do you think they'd miss me? A good older sister wouldn't forget about their younger siblings, would she?"
Even if it had been due to a casual comment, the topic had gotten pretty deep. Probably not Isaac's intention, but the redhead just couldn't help it.
