Darkness. Nothing but darkness surrounded it. It had been that way for who knew how long. Wait, that was not it. It wasn't darkness, no. It was something else. An empty void, in which no light, no darkness, and no matter could hold their ground. Only a vast stream of never ending 1s and 0s could be appreciated if one sensed the flow of data hard enough. What a boring place, it thought, for a man like him. ...Him? Why did it think of itself as a him? What reason was behind it? Suddenly, the stream of 1s and 0s reformed violently, transforming into images that began flowing right through the unknown being. Images that spoke of a past tale, of a past life. Friendship, and foes. Partners and rivalry. Hardships, and good times. Love... and hatred. An intense hatred. Were those... emotions? Huh. It... he shouldn't have emotion. After all, he was just data... or so the being thought. The images that flowed through him kept filling him, and he soon began feeling more, and more. Suddenly, he was confined. He was no longer unbounded, but at the same time, he felt a strange sense of relief. Two pairs of limbs hanged on the upper and lower part of his... prison? No, body. In the beginning they ached and were sore, but they struggled to move. Why? Why did he feel that, if he didn't move forward, something would be left undone? Deep in his core, a desire echoed. He wanted to put an end to it. To finish what he had once started. Else, how could he face himself? How could he face his partner? ...partner? Slowly, but surely, indigo eyes opened, being greeted by the endless abyss. Hands trembled, but he was able to move them to the front of his face. He felt foreign, but at the same time, right. Next to him, a stream of 1s and 0s violently, yet harmoniously combined, forming a furry, blob-like silhouette. Right as this happened, however, a voice echoed throughout the void. How was this possible? This had never happened before. -Foolish ones. Return to the sleep, blanketed by this limbo between worlds. This is your well-deserved final rest.Final rest? No, that couldn't be it. Memories kept flowing back. Their journey... up until the last battle. The one they faced against their own darkness, and lost. -What?! Who are you?! And what the hell is this place?! -the man shouted. Shouted? He had a voice? The voice, however, continued his speech, ignoring all of his questions. -Do not seek escape. Embrace your reward. Eternal slumber... there are no worries here. No responsibilities. So close your eyes, and return to your sleep.The man felt something burn in his chest. An intense desire for freedom. ...Kazan?-You know, it's quite rude to boss people around when you haven't even introduced yourself. And no, thanks! I'm getting the hell out of here.As these words left his mouth, the furry blob shined even more, and grew a little bit, tiny legs appearing as his shape got more defined. The voice, however, did not seem to find this amusing in the slightest. -Would you be so foolish as to reject this place, and return to your hurt? To your past? To your... failures? Enough with this charade, imbecile. Return to slumber. Fade away once again, lest you unleash a catastrophe upon the world. -it asked. The young man knew exactly what it was referring to. In his chest, a second light burned. This time, unyielding determination. ...Tatsuya?Together, their brightness extended, and the blob grew even further. It took a fox-like appearance, but with draconic traits, and it opened its eyes. -I do not care what your orders are... If we made a mistake in the past, we will fix it! This time, we will win... I'm sure of it.Seeing his partner standing up against the void, the fox smiled. That was so like him. A fragile, powerless human, yet fearless and unyielding. Oh, that's right... that was why he had chosen to recognize him as his Tamer, after all. -You will fail again. It is already written. With the power you've lost, the power that created him... what do you aspire to do? No matter what, you shall end up disappearing from this world. And this time, limbo will not pick your shattered remains. So scatter once more into data. Keep on flowing, endlessly... peacefully.-Who the hell are you to decide what our fates are? You are as dumb as you can be... if something's set in stone, then we will break the goddamn stone.-What are you to change? How are you to fight against the unwavering force of fate? Who are you to make such arrogant claims? -the voice spoke, almost in rage. To its surprise, they both smiled. The answer was quite easy... and they spoke in unison. -Who do I think I am? I am... Tatsuya Kazan!-Who do I think I am? I am... Blake the Dorumon!The 1s and 0s surrounding them began meshing together, forming an eliptical shape under them. It was happening. Their wills... Limbo was... -Why...? Why refuse the only safe haven that you will ever get? What awaits you, in the end, is nothing but hurt. So why do you pursue it? Why seal your own doom?The duo laughed together, and each with a defiant half-grin of their own, replied in kind. -Because we are the ones that decide our fates.-Because we've never been the type to stay put in such a boring shithole.Beneath them, a rupture was originating. Soon, it would be too late... If only he... -Don't bother. We're getting out of here, and nothing you can do will stop us. This time... we will make things right.-If that bastard thinks he can get away with his plans, then he's going to be sorely disappointed.The voice remained mute. The rupture grew wider, and wider... -So be it. Tatsuya Kazan, and Blake the Dorumon. You've done the worst mistake of your lives. He will hunt you down... and when he does, he will absorb what's left. Then, limbo will not await for you. Only eternal hell...-Heh. I'll take the risk. At least eternal torture sounds more entertaining than lying around in the middle of fucking nowhere -he wryly retorted. -And just as you look to be growing tired of us, your little "hell" would only end up spitting us back. Take my word for it, coward.-Let your choice be your downfall...In that moment, limbo shattered in a thousand pieces, and the two of them fell down to the portal beneath them. As they did, their 1s and 0s finally linked entirely together... Light awaited down below, but before crossing it, they lost consciousness again.
A portal opened up in the air, severing the skies of the Network Plains for a split second before closing, as if nothing happened. From it, two figures fell, accelerating dangerously towards the ground, bathed by the morning sunlight. However, just as they were about to fall, their velocity dropped, and they landed gracefully on the ground, unconscious. They would probably wake up later, but to any bystander they'd probably look like they were having a rough time. Far, far away, bloody crimson eyes shined. It could feel them. Its prey had finally returned. -"I feel you, fools! This time... I will finally claim what's mine!" From its shelter, the abomination plunged into the skies. Now all that was left was to find them... and he'd be sure to do so. -THE TIME IS NIGH! HAHAHAHAHAHA |

Flaps of metallic wings tore the air as a huge figure of a brontosaur shaped Digimon with fur flies across the sky. With no exact goal, he just keep flying around with his partner on the back. They're currently scouting for various anomalies that might be happening lately... or if there are any ruins that missed their exploration range. Perhaps it's in his blood, but Yuuki really love historical sites. It doesn't, however, help the fact that his left arm is still not on its best shape. Almost like to protect it, currently Yuuki wearing a metal cast that completely covers it.
"...Yuuki," Hikaru suddenly called out.
"What's wrong? Do you feel something?"
"Some disturbance on the air. I'm going there. Is this fine?"
"Do you sense something other than that?"
"...It felt familiar."
The sudden haste of speed was alarming to the black haired boy, but he doesn't think much about it until...
"Oi... that!"
Yuuki quickly put on his goggles and watched carefully of a rift that formed on the air... and following that is two figures that the two know best. Hikaru nosedived faster than ever when the two figure fell. He was dreading that he would miss... and he did miss, Yuuki failed to secure either of the two on the last minute, his outstretched good arm caught nothing.
...except that the two fell harmlessly on the ground.
"...How is it?" Hikaru asked.
"No mistake about it. Get the first aid kit."
While he know he could do nothing with just one hand, Yuuki still tried to help the other boy and his Dorumon. Hikaru is the one who treated them most, applying some healing skills on both of them... now the question is, will they open their eyes soon?

Currently hovering over the Network Plains at a height of 1,000 feet, a large digimon was cruising along at a medium speed.
It was a large mechanical flying digimon by the name of AirVessemon, resembling a Gardromon affixed to a dirigible canvas containing vast supplies of helium gas. Attached to this gas balloon were four powerful engines, an array of defensive weapons, and, suspended below, a spatious wooden cabin, reinforced with light aircraft alloy metal.
Within this cabin, three figures were currently hard at work with their project to restore the Network Plains to their former glory. Conducting an aerial survey, the one doing the bulk of the work was an Elecmon by the name of Luke. Dressed in a worker's shirt and vest, he was standing over a large map of the plains below, looking carefully at the data coming in on the screen provided.
Running around the cabin toting a pair of binoculars, Luke's human partner Colin was making visual observations on the surroundings. A 13 year old black-haired boy, he didn't know much about engineering, but he knew to do the best he could to help his partner.
And the third figure, sprawled on the sofa wearing a black T-shirt, was a purple and white furred Impmon. Having been told that there was little he could do to assist, he was mostly having an afternoon doze on the comfortable furniture. This Impmon was Luke's twin brother Bellamy. And a bored Bellamy tended to be an annoying Bellamy... unless he slept of course.
Then, all of a sudden, a reading flashed on the screen in front of them, then halted. The flash was so sudden that alarms were set off, making Bellamy wake up with a start.
"W-what's up?! We under attack?!" he asked.
"No..." Luke said, surprised that the readings had returned to normal a second later. "Just there was some kind of disturbance..." he paused as AirVessemon's sensors picked up two figures hurtling toward the ground. "Jesmon Christ Mode, they're falling!"
"Can we save them in time?!" Colin asked, urgently.
"I'm afraid not" AirVessemon said, gravely. There was little they could do but watch their descent. Colin began to tremble, but Bellamy went to his aid, grasping his hand gently. Then... at the last moment, the figures slowed down, seemingly being reduced to a safe speed, then landed at a velocity that they could survive easily.
"Huh. They must've had parachutes of some kind" Luke said, scratching his head.
"I think we should go down and see how they are" Colin said, firmly. Luke was reluctant to give up the work, but Colin was right, it was the least they could do.
There was another figure in the air also. A large flying dragon digimon that none of them had seen before. That was interesting. He seemed to fly down to the aid of the two as well.
"Landing operation in motion" AirVessemon announced, descending. "Please be seated".
Minutes later, AirVessemon landed on the plains near the group, his engines slowing down. A staircase descended from the airship digimon, then Colin, Luke and Bellamy emerged from it, running toward them.
"Yuuki! Hikaru!" Colin exclaimed as he saw them, glad to see familiar faces. He then saw the other two, lying on the ground. A human that looked about Yuuki's age, and... another Dorumon?
"What's happening here? Are these two alright?" Luke asked, the Elecmon looking at them with concern.

Tatsuya's eyelids moved a little bit, thanks to all the ruckus that had formed around them. He wanted to move his body, but found that it did not respond that well as it used to. It didn't take them that long to regain consciousness, but it seemed that their fall had attracted some bystanders. While he opened his eyes in a rather calm manner, the morning light blinded him, giving him a bit of a headache. He did feel a bit out of his body, that was a fact.
-Oh, god... my head feels like I've been run over by Trailmon... -he complained. At least his vocal chords worked well enough. Soon, Dorumon's comment on that followed suit: his partner wasn't pleased in the slightest. He had lived better times, that was for sure. -I don't know what a hangover is... but if I were a betting 'mon, this is probably it... fuck! -Blake retorted, in his usual angry tone.
Well, at least they were alive, so that was a start. Given the events that had just transpired, the duo was uncapable to recognize the presence of the newcomers until a couple of seconds had finally passed. Only then did Tatsuya, still half-dizzy, lifted his head to see all the people that had gathered there. Well, there was a kid that was probably around fourteen or so, given his size, an Elecmon and an Impmon. He could see concern in most of their faces (well, who wouldn't after seeing someone fall from the sky?).
Then he turned his head, and saw a face that seemed familiar, but on the same time, was completely unknown. The male mused about this for a split second before realizing there was a freaking DoruGreymon right next to him! -What in tha...! -he shouted at first, startled, but soon realized that they were attempting to heal them, and so he calmed down.
The dragon was also helping Blake, so that was it. Thankfully that also served to cure them from that horrible migraine they were experiencing, most likely because of previously being in between worlds. Once that was done, the Kazan jumped up and began outstretching. He felt himself quite rusty and wanted to return to his usual form.
-Hah, thanks for checking out on us! I don't know why were we sleeping on the ground, but it's definitely uncomfortable. So, good... morning, I guess? Don't even know what time it is. Well, not like it's gonna be a problem.
The young adult noticed his partner still slacking off a little bit.
-Blake, get your ass up and introduce yourself!
-Go to hell... and bring me a couple souvenirs when they kick you out... -the Digital Monster replied, only to discover that he smelled Digimon in the near. That was enough to get him up and a bit more serious, checking out the unsuspected company they had attracted. One of them had an oddly peculiar smell, one he knew from before, but he couldn't quite put it in words.
-Huh? Who are you lot? What do you want? -the Digimon asked, not angered, but as bluntly as ever.
-Ah, god-damn it. Well, I guess I'll have to do. My name is Tatsuya, Tatsuya Kazan, and this right here is my partner, Blake. He's a bit of an ass, but you'll get used to him. I mean, I at least did... somehow -he scratched the back of his head while looking at his Digimon, who shot him a glare.
-That's my line, jackass. Of all people I had to be stuck with you... So, what brings you all here? Did you hear him snore? I know he sounds like a freakin' truck driver, but I didn't think it was that bad.
-What was that? Have you heard yourself talking in dreams? Always rambling on and screaming about your favourite foods; Rordon Gamsay complex, I tell ya.
-You leave my pasta outta this...!
The duo was completely oblivious that they had just fallen from the skies. To all they knew, they simply fell to the portal on limbo, and guessed that they had been left there, sleeping for a little while. Plus, it was most likely surprising to see them being so lively right after falling from the freaking sky.
-So then, what can we do for you? -the Kazan asked everyone there, wanting to know what had drawn them there.

Yuuki looked at Colin and the rest that just arrived, surprised that they're around. "Huh, hey guys. Sorry I can't really talk at the moment... we'll talk once this big lug opened his eyes, kay? He's... not quite alright." however it's looks like he doesn't even have to wait. The other guy already opened his eyes...
"Well well, good morning sleeping beauty, totally uncharacteristically early for you," he teased. "Shut your trap for a bit, Tats---" he was about to continue, but... from the reaction, it made him freeze. What? Oh right, could it be that because he's older that he's like this? If only he could get something out but nah, they're never close to the point of ever sharing a picture together... "...Hold it, you don't remember who two of us are? I understand if you don't remember the other three, but..."
"Who am I?" suddenly Hikaru asked back. "WHO AM I!?" he repeated back, then quickly and swiftly tied a kilt on his waist in his Dorumon form. "Let me tell you who I am! I'm the most fabulous, most fluffy Dorumon in all of this Digital World!" then posed fabulously with a seem-to-be-practiced-for-thousand-times choreography. "My name is Hikaru~ and your rival of course~ Pshaw, here I am worrying about you guys for the entire time we're separated and suddenly you forgot the fabulousness that is Hikaru? Geez, I'm really hurt..." the other Dorumon faked a crying. "Even though you confide on me about your Dowitalk..."
"....If you still ask who us are after looking at that sort of pose then I'd doubt your memory being intact. Probably go check to the doctor... " Yuuki deadpanned while staring at his partner like he's a loon. "Anyway, long time no see... Probably been a damn while since that trial."
"...Though if you seriously don't remember, I'm Hikaru and this is Yuuki... don't tell me you really don't remember?"
"...If you don't then it's best stays like that. Look, I'm not worried with those kind of stuff. You guys instead fell from the sky and nearly gave us heart attack so me and my partner here... also my friends Colin, Luke and Bellamy there," he pointed with his thumb at the other group "was trying to save you, but you guys looks like doesn't really need it."
He slapped the bigger guy's back hard with his good arm. "Good to see you anyway, you jerk. Don't go missing on us again, OK? I'd like to punch your face, but seeing my other arm like this," he pointed at his casted arm "...best not."

As they approached, it seemed the older boy and his Dorumon partner awoke. The Dorumon murmured about having a headache and then promptly swore, surprising the three.
"Heh, I like this guy already" Bellamy remarked. While he didn't use potty-mouth language himself in front of Colin, he found it kinda refreshing when people didn't talk like goody-two-shoes.
It seemed Hikaru was at the scene helping them out. The older boy then said he didn't remember why they were lying on the grass. This concerned Luke somewhat. Especially when it seemed Yuuki remembered him too, but, the older young man didn't seem to recognize him. Oh boy, memory loss, that wasn't good.
"Huh, is that right? You don't remember hurtling toward the ground and then, uh, slowing down?" the Elecmon asked, eyebrow raised, a paw on his hip. "Because that seems to be what happened".
The Dorumon, apparently named Blake, promptly asked what they wanted. Bellamy shrugged. "Frankly I wanna just go to the pub, but guess my partner wanted to check up on you guys" the Impmon said with a hint of sarcasm. But not the angry kind.
So, this guy was Tatsuya Kazan and this was his partner, Blake. It seemed they didn't really get along. Colin nodded, not being one to judge. "Well, I'm Colin James and these are my partners, Luke and Bellamy" he jerked his thumb over his shoulder. "We were just doing some recon over the plains in our merc digimon when we saw you guys, so, we just wanted to see if you were okay" he explained. Even though Yuuki had already introduced them, he felt he'd best explain what they did.
Bellamy snickered at the to-and-fro between the two. Even Luke smirked a little. These two seemed like fun. And that compounded with Hikaru's display made them wonder what else would happen in this chance encounter.

When Impmon commented that he already liked Dorumon, the Rookie Digimon shot him a half-grin. -You bet you do. You don't seem half-bad yourself, Impmon -Blake commented, satisfied.
Despite Tatsuya beginning with his typical outgoing attitude in full display, he was quickly shocked by the stranger when he was addressed with great familiarity. At first he thought he might've mistaken him, but the fact that he knew about his dreadful sleeping habits made it quite clear that he was referring to him; not to anyone else, but him. The newcomer also seemed surprised that he didn't know who he was.
In the meantime, the Dorugreymon also did something similar with Blake, calling himself his "rival". While at first he was going to dismiss it, the friendlier, more cheerful Digimon degenerated and then asked him how could he have forgotten, when he had confided him the most dreadful of his secrets... the speech impediment in his baby stages. Dorumon's eyes opened wide for a split second as he realized that it was impossible they were strangers.
-First of all, talk about that again and I'll wreck your ass. Second of all... -he then turned to Tatsuya. I knew their scent was familiar. I knew it. But for some reason... argh, it just won't come to mind! Don't you recall them? -the Digimon asked him.
Tatsuya sighed, and negated with a tilt of his head.
-No can do. It's like I know them, but I can really pinpoint who they are... wait, how's that even possible? -the young man asked himself, to which Dorumon snorted.
-Pff. As useless as always.
-Excuuuse me, mister "Never-forget-a-smell-no-matter-what-dumbass"?
-... -Dorumon had been caught off guard there.
As Luke commented that they had practically fallen from the skies, he looked at him with a surprised expression. -Whoa, really? But we've not been injured, if you don't consider this headache... oh, well. Guess all's well if it ends well.
-Not even gravity can stop me -Blake proudly stated, with hot blooded passion. He really did believe in his own power, didn't he? When Bellamy commented his partner was the one insisting in checking out on them, Blake scoffed.-Don't tell me. Can't go anywhere without this idiot trying to mind everyone else's business.
To be fair, I think I'll join you in that pub... I'd kill for a drink to get this pain off. Are we far from the city? 'Cause I'm not exactly sure where that interdimensional hole left us.
Blake did seem convinced by the idea, and Tatsuya partially agreed. Perhaps checking out where they were wouldn't hurt, and since they were with more people, the risk of them wandering off the path was tiny at best. While he trusted on his knowledge about the Digital World, it was just as his partner had stated: no way of knowing where the hell they were.
Yuuki then adviced the two of them to go to a doctor and get themselves checked. That memory loss didn't seem to be any good whatsoever. Tatsuya nodded, silently agreeing with the perhaps-not-so-stranger. He was just about to answer, when Itou commented on the fact that they hadn't seen each other since that trial. Rather than fixing his focus in the fact that he didn't recall being out for so long, there was one part of the sentence that made both him and his partner skip a beat.
"...ever since that trial". Trial. Trial. Trial.
The word echoed in his head, as his heartbeat accelerated, his breathing got heavier, and he almost began to sweat. Next to him, Dorumon was also experiencing something similar to that attack. Images coursed throughout the back of his head once again. Someone who was a lot like Yuuki, but much younger, with a Digimon. A girl with a plant-like partner. A red... pidgeon? Something that looked like Yuuki, but dark and ominous. Then, a little girl. And afterwards... only darkness. Darkness in which a pair of red eyes stared at the limp body of its latest victim. And it laughed, with their voices.
As these images kept assaulting him relentlessly, his panting became almost screams as he grabbed his head, eyes closed and experiencing a lot of pain. On his part, Dorumon, living through the same, growled and howled in pain, headbutting the ground and holding his head there as if to desperately attempt to make it stop.
Eventually, the pain subdued...
-What...
-...the fuck...
Once the two of them calmed down, they resumed the conversation, though still a bit uneasy because of the experience. Luke, Collin and Bellamy introduced themselves, saying that they were doing some reconnaissance above the plains. Wait, the plains?
-Wait, we're in the plains...? Oh, of course. I guess after that Aegiochusmon tried to make them his own castle, the place isn't what it used to be -Tatsuya lamented.
As Yuuki and Hikaru told them they had been worried about them, Tatsuya laughed it off.
-Hey, come on, I know we sleep a lot, but it's not like we've been out of commission for so long. At best, I've only managed to sleep 20 hours straight. Quite a good record, I might add.
Dorumon, in the meantime, was eager to know where it had went.
-So, any ideas where that oh so evil mastermind went? Because I'm sure kicking some goat ass is the best way of killing this headache once and for all. He was insanely strong, so it'll be a nice way to get the dust off my fur.
-Yeah. I mean he couldn't have gone too far away, could he? After all, how much time has it been ever since the plains got destroyed? A couple of weeks, maybe? Perhaps a month? -the Kazan questioned out loud.
The people who had gathered around them would surely notice that there was something a bit off with that last statement. For them, it had been that little time. But how about the rest of the world...?

"Wreck my ass? Oh yes please~" Hikaru retorted, almost lightning fast, enough to make Yuuki stared at him with such deadpan stare that could pass as a patented bitchface #15. "...First of all, for fuck's sake, you're an asexual Dorumon. Second of all, for fuck's sake, there's an underage kid here!"
"It's OK, Colin is old enough to watch something racy. Even if he didn't, I bet Bellamy has dashed a lot of his innocence, and you're not a virgin anyway."
"DON'T OPEN SOME SECRET SO EASILY GODDAMNIT!"
"I thought it's something like... prestige for human? When they're not a virgin that is? Oh well, whatever," Hikaru made a shrugging gesture. "Anyway, with that being said, no, you're not that far from the city, yes I can transport you, but these guys apparently got a really nifty airship mercenary. Kinda wanna board the ship one of these days, but we've been busy... So how about it, Mr. Impster? Can we board on?"
"Wow, talk about fast topic change..."
However, both of them alarmed over the sudden change of behavior that happened to the two... which somehow luckily doesn't really take long.
"...Best to not mention that anymore, then," Yuuki commented softly in resignation. "I think it's for the best for four of us too."
Now this what make Yuuki confused. They forgot about them but doesn't forgot about that time?
"He has gone poof," Yuuki deadpanned. "No idea whatsoever what happened, just poof. Just like that Kumbhiramon we fought in the mall. Also... it's been... a year? two? I don't really remember. I'm too busy with taking care of some stuff... for example like my blackening hair or my eyes change... and on extension, my metalizing arm. Let's be safe and say two years has passed?"
"That must be some doozy limbo you're in," Hikaru commented. "...Anyway, how high in stage are you two at the moment? Don't tell me you're also same like me where I'm forced to start from 0?"

"Hah" Bellamy assumed a position he thought was 'cool-looking'. "The Impster's ain't half-anything, it's all-or-nothin' baby. But yeah, you seem cool so far, pal. We should hang out sometime".
"Oh my..." Luke said in his best George Takei voice as Blake threatened to wreck Hikaru's ass, a prospect which excited him. He then blushed a little as he found himself thinking about that thing actually happened, but said nothing to draw attention to these thoughts.
Then Yuuki countered with even more potty-mouth language. Bellamy grinned at him. "Eh, asexual or not, could still be fun" he said, from his experience with Coronamon anyway.
"Eh, yeah, pretty sure I'm not so innocent anymore" Colin said, shrugging. While he wasn't a 'bad boy' persay, being partner of an Impmon who had turned the word 'jogress' into a euphimism for kinkiness had required him to lose some of his cotton wool childhood ideals.
But it seemed that there was indeed some kind of memory loss involved here. After trying to get their bearings, Blake then asked how far from the city they were.
"Not too far, you've landed in the Network Plains" Colin said. "You could hitch a ride on our merc if you want to get there quickly" he pointed over his shoulder to AirVessemon, who was floating in place slightly above the ground, ready to take on passengers again.
Bellamy meanwhile was delighted at the prospect. "Awesome! There's a neat bar I know near the Trailmon Terminal. We could go there and catch up if ya like" he said, thinking sharing drinks with not one but 2 fun Dorumons would be just swell.
Then all of a sudden, both of them seemed to suddenly get an onslaught of excruciating headaches. Colin and his partners looked on with worry.
"Um... maybe drinking might not be a good idea in this case?" Colin asked, a little worried. "You should probably get that looked at".
"Eh don't be silly, Colin, some fun times'll set these two right" Bellamy said with confidence. "And yep, you're all welcome aboard Chez Impster~"
"Call me that again, Bellamy, and you're riding in the helium tanks" AirVessemon said in the distance, a temple throb appearing next to his eyes. Bellamy staggered a little.
"But yeah, you're welcome aboard" Colin said.

Despite Dorumon's statements, Hikaru still didn't seem fazed; if anything it was looking forward to it, as his following line of commentary let Blake know. The fox-like dragon opened its eyes widely for a second, as Yuuki stared at his partner intently and Luke exclaimed an "Oh my". Blake backed off slightly, with only a single comment on that matter.
-I've made a terrible mistake -the Digimon stated, although Yuuki proceeded to scold his partner, revealing that he was asexual... which was kind of a breather for Tatsuya's Dorumon, who silently thanked the heavens for what they had not allowed to happen.
-If you ever do that again, I swear to all you hold sacred I'll skin you and use your fur as my personal scarf -Dorumon threatened, albeit he was not being serious. It was quite easy to tell, thanks to his malicious, yet relieved half-grin.
Hikaru then spoke loudly about Yuuki not being a virgin, prompting a chuckle to escape Tatsuya, despite his efforts to contain it. -Hey, at least you guys don't seem so stiff talking about these things. I swear to god, Japan's so strict in that sense it drives me nuts -the young man commented. It was true, after all, that the lifestyle there was much more different than in America, but given that the majority of his time had been spent in between worlds ever since he moved to Shibuya, things hadn't become that stagnant.
Collin was quick to tell them that it was in fact the Network Plains, as they suspected. It seemed that they had not had that much time to recover from the attack, so the duo figured out that they might as well go help with the rebuilding if they had some time.
-Well, if there's any initiative about returning this place to how it was, I'll gladly lend a hand. Dorumon will, too. I mean, this looks a bit depressing right now.
-See that, Impguy? That's what I'm talking about -Blake told Bellamy, his tail pointing at Tatsuya. -We always get dragged out by him going out of the way.
-Told ya, I'm always doin' what I want.
-Pffhah! -Blake scoffed, accepting it as a valid answer.
After the duo's intense migraine receeded, most of them had decided that they could go to a bar near Trailmon Terminal. Hearing that made Tatsuya think of the human world. Hopefully his house wouldn't be too dirty after a week or two without them inside.
However, the reveal then came. Yuuki casually mentioned that it had been, more or less, two years. This at first struck Tatsuya as odd, and laughed it off. -Two years? Hahaha, nice one, mate, but I'm pretty sure I fought here one month ago or so. My naps may be legendary, but for so long... Cut me some slack -the Tamer stated, laughing.
However, the fact that they seemed completely convinced of it made him doubt his own criteria.
-Wait... you ain't serious, right? Don't tell me you're telling the truth?
Dorumon was taken aback by Yuuki's words, but it made sense. That was why the smell was so different from before. In the meantime, Tatsuya's mind processed all that it meant. What about his family? College? His house in Shibuya? If two years had passed and he had been sleeping, that meant he was in deep, deep shit.
-Oh no. No, no, no, no no... Oooh this is so fucked up! -he stated, thinking about all the explaining, paperwork and similars he would endure. Surely he couldn't just go and say "Hi, I'm still alive" and expect things to not blow out of proportion! What about the media?! They'd have questions, and then DATS would come along...
-We've lost two years sleeping in that god-damn place?! In that time I could've easily attained so much more power!! -Blake roared in frustration. Then, Yuuki's partner asked them whether they could still evolve as far as before. Tatsuya took out his black D-3.
The device had the same crack as that fateful day, though he wasn't able to relate it to the time at the trial. He checked the menu, and his partner's data came along. Dorumon... Sangloupmon? That was new. Then, MetalGreymon X, and then... an unknown sign.
He looked at Hikaru and answered in kind.
-Well, I don't know. We could reach Mega before, but now I'm not sure... the lines have changed a little. If you don't mind, I could try and see, though it may be best if we got moving to the bar.
Given that Collin had offered to carry them to the city, he asked him instead. -It's your choice, buddy. If you want to give us a moment to stretch out, I'd be more than happy.
-Me too. I feel like I haven't moved in ages... and before you say anything, Tatsuya, yes. I know it's been two years.
-You know me too well.
-Of course I do, idiot.

"Mistake in falling for the Hikaru?" the other Dorumon taunted. "Don't worry, everyone do. Even the straight one because I'm so fabulous that it worth it~" once again he posed in such fabulous way. "Whatever I hold sacred? Wow, I think I only hold... myself in sacred way--oh my, you want to skin me? I know I'm so fabulous and my fur double so, but to strip me naked after so long, you're sooo daring, Blake."
Yuuki this time cannot hold back his laughter and snorted. "OK, that one was good, I admit... and I only can speak this sort of thing because this guy here was the one who's prying open all my secrets... Well, Colin, I know your feeling, bud. Don't sweat it... we're both victim."
"Except that you're not as innocent as him."
"Before I know your flirting and your cuddling, I'm as innocent as he is at the moment," Yuuki shot back. "Thank God you got nothing down there. Also, you guys probably just hang out with conservative guys. Lot of nonconservative teens talk about scoring girls like they're scoreboard."
"Eh, I'm asexual at it, so it's all good. And yeah, what this dude said."
Tatsuya seem not believing that he has been sleeping for two years, which made Yuuki shook his head resignedly. "Dude, I changed, this world changed. I'm also locked somewhere, but I've asked, two years have passed in real world after that incident... which counts to fourteen years Digital World wise. If that's not a record then nothing is." Yuuki took out his wallet and shows him a picture of him and Hikaru taken about a year ago. "This was me... before I got biomerged for too long and well..." he pointed at his eyes, then at his black hair. "Oh right, my left arm also turned into metal on the bone and muscles. I can't move it unless I want to feel absurd pain."
"Oh, don't ask if we still can do. The answer is no, we can't. I'm only up to Perfect stage after rebooted."
Yuuki took out his golden gripped D-3 that looked slightly different from the other and clicked the menu. "...See..."
He showed Tatsuya the menu. Dodomon, Dorimon, Dorumon, Dorugamon, Dorugreymon... and while it's there, it's locked: Alphamon.
"Well if you want to walk then so be it. I myself probably... gonna go with you to that bar."
"I thought you never drunk? You're underage."
"My physical age is 20. Biomerging be damned. So I'm legal to drink."

A little bit of disappointment crossed Luke and Bellamy's faces as the hot Dorumon action failed to occur. However, a look of relief crossed Colin's face. They could tell Blake wasn't being serious though.
"Damn it Hikaru, you're makin' Luke here hot under the collar" Bellamy said, grinning, completely oblivious to the fact that he still found the Dorumon incredibly attractive and never got to cuddle him in his rookie form.
"Yeah... pretty sure we wouldn't get away with not wearing pants if that wasn't the case" Luke added, grinning, wearing a work shirt and scarf and nothing else.
Then Tatsuya remarked that Japan was so strict about manners that it made him curious. "Oh? Are you not from Japan?" he asked, curiously. "I'm from Nebraska myself" he clarified.
"Yeah, the reconstruction effort's been fantastic so far" Luke said, smiling. The Elecmon waved a paw to indicate the land around them. "At least we've got rid of the hazardous data that remained around here"
"Maybe someday we could even make somethin' useful, like said pub" Bellamy interjected. They were silent for a little while as Tatsuya and Blake realized that two years had passed. They cringed with sympathy, damn that must be tough.
"You can reach mega, huh?" Bellamy asked, impressed. "Well, Luke and I can reach Perfect, so far I know" he scratched his head. It had been a while since they had last evolved.
"Sure, there's no rush" Colin said, willing to wait until they were ready. "So... you guys must've had a lot of adventures around the place, eh?" he asked, looking between Tatsuya and Yuuki. "Like there was a digimon with a fortress around here that caused the destruction you say?"

Seeing how the other Dorumon continued the tease, Blake embraced his... apparent? heterosexuality even tighter. The other Digimon was flamboyant, that was for sure. It was quite funny how despite being members of the very same species, they were completely different to one another. When he made the comment about getting him naked, Blake's right eye twitched a bit as he approached a bit.
-That's it. I'mma kill it -the Digimon stated, with Tatsuya not even stopping him, knowing he wouldn't carry out his threat. Plus, he was way too busy almost crying from laughter. Luke and Bellamy's comments made him turn his head at them. -It's not funny!!! I'm in real danger right here!!! -the Digimon commented. When Blake was flustered, it was quite hard for him to keep his cool and he just kept digging his own grave.
As a result, Tatsuya began laughing even harder, with Blake's head turning at him too. -You think you're god-damn fun? I'll slap your shit, boy!! -he retorted, still completely disoriented after that last comment from Hikaru.
-Oh, heck no you don't -the teen paused for a second, barely containing his chuckles -... 'cause I need to see how this Dorumon action is going to end! -the Kazan at this point didn't care how his partner would react, which was to promptly jump and bite his arm, making a tiny bit of blood. They were sharp enough, even if he wasn't attacking with all he had.
Yuuki then mentioned that Tatsuya probably just hanged around conservative people. He shrugged, not really knowing if it was the case. -Eeeh, who knows, perhaps I'm just pretty open with that kinda stuff and everyone else seems a bit afraid to talk about it in comparison. Who knows? I'm not even sure myself!
When Collin mentioned he was from Nebraska, Tatsuya's eyes widened for a second, and a half-smile appeared on his face. -Really? I was born in the States as well! Even if I didn't live there for very long... My family's always been travelling here and there, for work and stuff. I grew tired of it after some time, so I decided to stay in Shibuya to study -the male commented.
Yuuki's reveal on the fact that two years had passed didn't make things any better. Those were freaking fourteen years in Digital World time. What in the world?! -Fuck my life... I'm in real deep shit for sure... -he reckoned. -So the first thing I'll have to do when I get back to the Real World is explain how I wasn't dead... oh, god. I guess I'll need a convincing story. Care to throw some ideas around? -he at least joked about it. As most times, worry could never consume him completely.
What did catch his attention was the fact that Yuuki and Hikaru had previously Biomerged. Tatsuya's eyes illuminated. -So it is possible to control it... I knew it! -the young man had found new hope. So perhaps they could attain that level of power, and face off against Omegamon Zwart X once more?! Dorumon also seemed eager to get some revenge.
-Oh boy... When I find that bastard I'm going to enjoy myself choking the life out of his body until there's no more than a battered corpse -a devilish grin appeared on his face. He starved for battle.
Collin asked Tatsuya about the time in the Plains, where they had gotten destroyed. The male reminisced about that fierce battle... -Oh, boy, you can bet. I was actually facing him when that happened. That was when we first unlocked our Mega Level.
-Oh, that goat thing? I remember him... he was so powerful it still gives me the creeps. But I'd love to face off against him again!! -Dorumon almost roared, reviving the battle in his head. It hadn't been that long, but he had been forced to almost his limit. His best attack had barely any effect on him, so it was saying something.
-I believe around that time, the Deva were also wrecking havoc around the place... -Tatsuya stated, and then realized. -Well, if you want to hear my olde tales, we could do so in the bar! Don't worry about checking our level first, we'll do it later.

"D'aw, Lukey, if you got jealous just tell me, I'll arrange a date for us," Hikaru commented, then turning to Blake. "Don't be jealous OK, Blakey dear~?" Of course this is just another of his joke. "Eh, Blake, being flirted is tons more awesome than being in danger, what danger? Your pride breaking?" he teased with impish grin. "At least you'll gain another pride knowing that another think you attractive, eh? C'mon now, Vegeta, loosen up~"
"And now he's starting to use reference, oh this Doru," Yuuki muttered. "And Luke, I thank Digital Gods for that. Otherwise I'm going to stuff this guy's legs in pants whether he wants it or not."
Of course Hikaru still having a blast teasing Blake. "Now now, Blake, no need to be so violent. I won't attack you. Let's ceasefire for now, shall we? Or if you want to wrestle around the plains you're more than welcome, I can't say the prospect of dirtying my fur is all that fun however~"
Yuuki just have to jump at the opportunity when Tats asked what should he tell to people: "Sorry, I apparently got abducted by aliens... they're real and they erased my memory of most important thing, or so they thought! On the more plausible excuse, just say one of your ex from out of country tricked you and said that she got pregnant with your kid but turned out that she's just doing that to get your economical support."
"I don't think any of them would work, Yuuki," Hikaru commented.
"It's just a joke."
Once again Blake shows how much he's an exemplary ferocious Digimon which just made Hikaru smiles wryly. He himself is a pacifist to the end, so he find their position at this point is reverse of one another. "Why are you so focused on that guy anyway?" he asked. "I mean I--" Hikaru stopped, with Yuuki staring at him knowingly. Both's eyes darkened for a moment, like they're recalling something really bitter. "...Nevermind. At any rate, there are no use to try to attack that guy at this moment."

By now, several months of living with Bellamy was beginning to wear off on the Elecmon. With an impish grin matching that of his brother, Luke answered Hikaru. "Heh, sure, I might take you up on that actually" he winked. Partly out of his own desires, and partly so that Hikaru would stop teasing Blake, who seemed to be getting annoyed.
"Ah~" Bellamy said loftily, with the air of a proud teacher. "The apprentice is learning~". The Impmon didn't want to keep on teasing Blake either, so he hoped this intervention would work.
Colin snorted with mirth at the reference to Vegeta. It got a bit awkward when Blake bit Tatsuya's arm. 'Ah, guess that's a limit crossed' he thought. Colin hadn't considered that a digimon might attack their partner like that. But then again, Colin treated Luke and Bellamy with care and respect so he doubted they would ever do the same.
"Huh, wow" Colin remarked as Tatsuya confirmed he was from the USA as well, although moved to Japan at an early age. "I see, I've been in Shibuya for a couple of years now" he said, being 11 when they moved from the states.
Bellamy pondered what to do about Tatsuya's real problem of returning home after 2 years of being thought as missing. "You could say you got shipwrecked somewhere?" he offered as a possibility. "And the natives of the island made you their god until just now when you failed to bring forth the harvest and narrowly escaped with your life as they tried to sacrifice you?"
"...that's oddly specific" Luke remarked.
"Hey, it's a plot of a film I might write sometime" Bellamy shrugged. Then the conversation kind of veered off about the tales of battles past. "Heh, I see. The biggest thing I fought so far was a BlackGroundramon up in the North. Nothing really that special".
Luke and Colin exchanged uncomfortable expressions at this. That battle had gone completely out of control, with a Super Mega-strength Breakdramon appearing. Ryouta had almost died from the battle and Ryu had taken out his anger on Bellamy.
"Ah yeah, the bar, hehe. Shall we head out?" Bellamy asked, blocking out these memories. "There's plenty of room on AirVessemon to stretch your legs if ya need to".
