((OOC: No probz. I saw you were busy/sick, so I just waited it out.))
Hearing and seeing how easy it is to get to town hall, Rina sighed in relief. "That's good to hear." If she were to ever get lost now, that would be way more embarrassing than it would have been if she didn't here about how hard getting lost would be.
After offering to play some of the games with Mana and having her accept, Mana also redirected her second offer - the choice of game - back at Katrina.
"! Oh!" she said, somewhat wide-eyed. 'Alright with anything,' eh? A smug grin surfaced. Rina wanted to put that casual acceptance to the test. Was she actually good at video games? Maybe the more physical kind of games? "H'alrighty! Theeen... hmmm...." She scoured the area to pool her choices together. Deciding on one, "! Ah'p!" she pointed further inside. "There! Let's start with that!" The orange-haired girl pointed out another gaming machine: a fighting video game to start things off. Just in case Mana couldn't tell what she was pointing at, Rina approached and stood in front of it, watching the demo screen of two muscular men - one kickboxer and one sumo wrestler - attacking each other with kicks and chops. "Backstreet Brawlers 2! Let's go for a best of five! Three 'match-wins' wins it all!"

After a vigorous nod to Rina's words, Mana got herself ready for the inevitable showdown. She didn't know much about the prowess of her opponent at video games, but like any would-be opponent, she would take her seriously. Well, as seriously as anybody can take other in a videogame, that is.
A fighting video game, huh? That sounded like fun. While not even close to her particular area of expertise, it'd be a good way to shake things off. Maybe even lure into a false sense of security for future games. At proposal, the girl could only smile. "Oh, it's on. Let's go!" She went right behind Rina, getting on the machine just seconds after her. "Best of five sounds good to me. Ready when you are."
She wasn't all that familiar with the game itself, but she thought she had seen it being played, and it was pretty basic for a fighting game anyway. It'd be a mistake if she underestimated its complexity—or her friend's skill at it, so she got ready. Now, who would she pick? A green guy with funny hair seemed to be strong, so she went with that for the first round.
Meanwhile, Ayaka and Suzuran just stared at each other. They were definitely out of her element in this place, and the more outspoken of the two was growing a bit restless, but she would deal with this... for now, at least. Feel free to decide to outcome. I'm fine with either result.

"H'Alright, let's do it!" Once the minimal payment was made in order to operate the game, Rina and Mana selected their characters, with Rina opting for one with long limbs named Sihma Dhal.
The first round of Match 1 was about to begin. It was time to FIGHT! At first, Katrina took things slowly to see how Mana played the game. Because the basics were fairly simple, it seemed Mana was slowly getting an understanding of jumping, punching, and kicking. Of course, Rina knew about the green guy's special ability, so the teen was keen on seeing whether or not her opponent could manage pulling it off, if even by accident. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to be coming, revealing that she was unaware of the Battle Boost skills that each of the brawlers had. Rina briefly explained as much to Mana, showing her the two most basic control combos that initiate her brawler's skills.
Picking up on the tapping skill, Mana was able to deal two significant hits before time ran out in the round. However, Katrina had done more overall damage and was thus deemed the winner of the round.
Round 2, Mana had a much better showing, catching the taller redhead off guard a couple of times. The round went to Mana because of her Double Thunder Shock combination: Dhal stretch-ily extended his arm, with Grenga reacting with a full-body shield of electricity. Punching into it electrocuted the lean brawler, knocking him into a daze on the ground. But Grenga wasn't done. Grenga jumped over to the fallen Sihma Dhal, clawed at his legs to no effect, and then, as Dhal stood, the lanky stretchman suffered a full-on Thunder Shock, unable to block it. The full effect managed a knockout win for Grenga this round. Rina laughed with how amusingly she was KO-ed.
Round 3 begins! At this point, Rina played more seriously. With Mana understanding how to play that character, the gloves had to come off, so to speak. Upping her tempo a tad, she used more brawler skills, like the ranged Flexi-Fire move that was essentially a fireball shot that vertically zigzagged across the screen. Ducking or jumping at the right times would avoid the move, but Mana was only able to properly predict it once. The latter two times engulfed the green guy in flames, taking him out of the fight.
The first match win of five went to Rina. [1-0]
"You're getting the hang of it. And Grenga's a solid choice, too, that you lucked out on. ...Hahaha. Wow, that double shock really got me; I wasn't expecting that from you at all." Getting back to the Character Select screen, Rina asked, "Wanna use the same people, or do you wanna switch?"
OOC: Okay. If you meant the outcome of the entire thing, I'll do that in my next post.

Awww... what a pity. Mana hadn't even managed to win a single match against Rina. Welp, it wasn't like she minded it too much, but still... at least one wouldn't have been as bad, right?
Still, she had to admit that the whole experience had been a lot of fun! "Seems like you're way better than what I thought!" She said cheerily, not minding the crushing defeat she had just gotten. "I wouldn't be surprised if you were a pro at this or something, really. Now..."
Now that the second round was about to begin, she began to consider her choices. This character was good, but at times, she thought it was a bit too unwieldy, not to say that some of its movements felt a bit awkward to her, so, in the end... "I think I'll change my character. This one didn't feel all that good." She admitted with a small shrug as she went through the character selection screen. Maybe the next would be better or maybe... her defeat would be even more hilarious than before. In any case, she thought she could go on with this for a good while. Or at least until her partners decided they had enough and began to insist on them going back.

And so the battles continued. The second match was more of the same from the first. Katrina allowed Mana to get a handle on her chosen character as they fought, with Rina using the martial arts character Ryugi. As Mana figured out the ins and outs of each character she used, the fights grew progressively more intense with each passing match as her fighting basics improved. As such, in the third series of rounds, Rina was toppled from her two-match streak, with Mana legitimately besting Rina in two rounds out of three to win the match.
Matches were 2-1 in Rina's favor, however. And now that Mana got herself on the board, so-to-speak, another internal limiter was released from within the side-ponytailed redhead. The shorter redhead was now accustomed to projectiles, jumping attacks, and blocking; Katrina decided to go back to Sihma Dahl, the stretchy fire-breathing character.
During the match, Lammon had quietly reunited with the group, watching the humans play together. Mana held her own quite well this time around, blocking attacks and delivering unexpected physical and projectile offense. Young Ms. O'Hare's health points had fallen down to at least 1/3 on both occasions; despite that, Rina found a way through it all to win two rounds in a row to claim the fourth match. With 3 match wins under her belt, Rina won the best of five, 3-1.
With a sigh of relief as she wiped some sweat off of her forehead, Katrina looked at the victory screen again. "I won...!" She'd lean back and relax if she could. She wasn't expecting Mana to catch on as well as she did. To even get a match win on her was nothing short of a surprise.

Now she was cookin' with gas! It had taken her some time, but she was finally getting used to this fighting game. She had even managed to snatch a victory from Rina! The bad side was that... well, fights had suddenly gotten a lot harder since when. Maybe she had gone through the training wheels already? In any case, that only made the fights all the more interesting! And even despite her eventual loss, that had been way more exciting that in the beginning!
"Welp. That was a lot of fun!" She with a big smile, extending her hand in a show of good sportsmanship. "I had a lot of fun! Hope you did too." She definitely had enough of this game for now, though. And next time, she also expected to be a way more interesting opponent. Hopefully Rina hadn't found their fights boring.
There was a small problem, as Ayaka soon made clear. Her expression conveyed some worry as she spoke."Uh, Miss? Hope you have not forgotten you have a small appointment."
The girl's eyes lit with the forgotten revelation, a giggle escaping her lips at her blunder. "Oooh, right! I had forgotten 'bout it completely between all that exploring!" She brought out a notepad really quickly and began scribbling into it what looked like a sequence of random numbers before handing it to her fellow redhead. "Here! This is my D-Terminal address, so if you ever wanna hang out again, jus' hit me up! I gotta run now, I hope we can repeat this sometime!"
Without another word, she dashed straight towards the nearest door, her partners going right behind her. That had been definitely a swift exit.

A toothy grin surfaced across Katrina's face as Mana displayed her sportsmanship. Eager to accept it, she took Mana's hand and reciprocated the gesture. "H'yeah, totally! I had tons of fun! Seeing you improve like that was also pretty cool in an' of itself."Ayaka then interjected herself into the conversation, bringing up something that was apparently important for Mana to hear. An appointment? ---! Ah, that's right. Katrina remembered that Mana, Ayaka, and Suzuran seemed to be heading somewhere before she and her sheep digimon, Lammon, stopped them. Mana had written down and handed the taller redhead her D-Terminal address. A look of confusion spread over Rina as she looked it over while Mana spoke. With Mana taking her leave, Rina waved goodbye to Mana and her two Kodamon. "---Y-yeah! Sure! Take care! ...," but the confusion in her mind had yet to fade. Once again, she looked at the address, Lammon watching her with silent curiosity. "...? ...What's a 'D-Terminal'...? ...."---[[END TOPIC]]---
