How long had he been there? It felt like weeks, maybe even months.
Coronamon sighed as he picked up the last few plates from the last table of the day. A small restaurant in Whitewater had been gracious enough to give him a part time job until he got back on his feet. It didn't really pay much, but at least the owners had been gracious enough to give him a place to stay.
Still, it didn't really compare to spending time with...Marshal.
Not a day went by that Coronamon didn't think of his Tamer. Hope that he would return was beginning to wear thin. The weight of it all was crushing.

Well now. Since landing in Whitewater, Colin and his partners weren't really in any mood to leave. Going on adventures on their merc digimon, the airship digimon AirVessemon, the three of them were in a kind of mood to kick back and relax a bit.
One of them though, Bellamy the Impmon was in the mood to visit someone that he missed rather a lot lately. "Let's go see him" he asked of his partner.
"Okay, yeesh, I told you we'd go see him first up" Colin said, chuckling. Bellamy and his brother Luke the Elecmon were both dressed in their usual tropical shirts - things they generally wore to Whitewater when not working. And so they made their way to the restaurant where Coronamon worked. Colin looked at his watch.
"Hm, hope he's still there" he said, seeing that it was almost closing time. They reached the restaurant and, seeing that the door was still open, entered.
"Hiya" Bellamy said, his green eyes lighting up with happiness as he saw the orange lion cub. "Can I have a serving of cute lion butt with a side of cuddles?" he asked with a grin.
"I hope to Jesmon I'm not like that when I find a digimon I like" Luke drawled. Bellamy ignored him, instead walking over toward his boyfriend, hoping he was also happy to see him.

The mere sound of Bellamy's voice was enough to brighten up Coronamon's day. He nearly squealed with delight as he ran over to his partner and grasped him tightly in a fond embrace. "Hey, babe! What are you guys doing here?"
Colin and the twins had dropped Coronamon off in Whitewater not long after Marshal had disappeared. They came by every so often to check up on him, most likely at Bellamy's request. It was nice to have people that cared about him. Not that he thought that Marshal didn't care about him...it was just...complicated.
"I'm almost done here," Coronamon told them. "Would you guys mind waiting just a few minutes?"

Bellamy happily returned the hug, glad to feel Coronamon's warm fur against his own again.
"Heya" Colin said, deciding to answer the question. "We're just coming back here from exploring basically. Getting our bearings about what's there in the digital world"
"Yep, seeing all the stuff that's there" Bellamy added. "We even flew by ElDoradimon, although the digimon there don't like humans much so we didn't go close".
Coronamon said that he was almost finished and asked if they could wait a few minutes. "Sure thing, babe" Bellamy said, sitting down at a table that had already been cleaned. Colin and Luke sat down too. "I like watching you work, especially if it involves bending over. It makes me happy in my pants".
"You don't have pants, Bells" Luke pointed out.
"Can you calm down for a few minutes, Impsanova?" Colin asked, chuckling at this ridiculous statement.
"Colin this is what sailors feel after being at sea for several months" Bellamy said. Although he had no idea why. If he was a single mon, being on a ship full of buff seamons would present plenty of opportunity to blow off some steam. But he'd wait for now until Coronamon was finished up with work.

Coronamon smiled as he finished up everything he needed to do and closed the restaurant. He led Colin and the twins out and locked the door behind him for the night. As the four of them stood outside, Coronamon took a deep breath in through his nose.
"Ah, the night air is lovely tonight," he said, a hint of romance in his voice as he put his arm around Bellamy. "What do you guys want to do now that you're here?"

"Mmm, yeah" Bellamy said, putting his own arm around Coronamon in a return of the gesture. The orange lion then asked what he wanted to do tonight. "Well apart from you (hopefully later), I wouldn't mind checkin' out this new beach bar that's just opened up" the Impmon grinned. "I heard some Gawappamon's opened up shop there by the beach. Sounds fun, eh? Well, we don't actually have to go onto the beach, mainly because I don't wanna get sand up my butt".
Bellamy was quite enjoying himself now that he was with his boyfriend again. He knew that Coronamon, as a partner digimon, may be pretty upset sometimes being left alone, but, at the same time, he knew he didn't want to be a burden. So tonight he'd make damn sure that Coronamon was happy.
Colin had to admit that he was surprised by just how loyal Bellamy was to Coronamon. In their time apart, the Impmon hadn't seriously flirted with anyone else. It was something he was kind of surprised about since they seemed to hook up so quickly, but, it seemed they were genuinely in love, and that was something Colin could support.
Luke meanwhile found that instead of flirting with other digimon, Bellamy instead tended to try and get other digimon he found attractive to try and date him. At first Luke was a bit annoyed by this, but, as he realized that his brother was doing it so that the Elecmon could feel as happy as he was, well, he tried to work with it. So far he hadn't been lucky, but, one day Bellamy might introduce him to someone that just felt right.
Bellamy led the group toward the beach, where he knew the new bar to be.

Coronamon giggled as the group headed towards this new bar. Bellamy always knew exactly where to take him. There was something about their relationship that always just felt so...right to Coronamon. Like he had been waiting for this Impmon for longer than he had even been alive.
"So," he began without thinking, "have you guys heard anything about Marshal? Have you seen him in the human world at all?" As soon as he said that, his face flushed. He hadn't meant to sound so desperate. After all, it had been nearly two months in the Digital World since Marshal had left. Granted, nowadays that was only about a week in the real world, so Marshal was probably still processing everything. Still, he should've been grateful that Colin and the others had even come to see him!

Bellamy had to admit that when he accepted Coronamon's affections beyond his usual level of flirting, he was worried that he may have gone a bit too far and would have to back down a little. But, his time looking into those cute blue eyes; having those nights of pure bliss... that was how he knew he had made the right choice and would have no other mon as long as he was here with Coronamon. Of course, the flirtatious digimon wouldn't say no to another being friendly with them as long as they had Coronamon's consent, well, these days, Bellamy didn't want to burden him with a decision like that.
Then Coronamon asked if they had seen Marshal. Bellamy and Luke remained quiet on this, while Colin thought carefully about it.
"Well... yeah, I've seen him a couple of times at school" he said. "But that was between classes, so, we didn't get the chance to say much. But... well... from what I can tell, he looks like he misses you".
That was all Colin could say to help here. The few times he had seen Marshal, he seemed to be regretful of leaving his partner alone in the digital world. Colin would have liked to tell him how Coronamon was going, but, they hadn't been in one place long enough to talk. Which was understandable. Marshal was in his final year of high school while Colin was nearing his final years of Junior High.
Soon after that, they came along Gawappamon's bar. It looked like a neat little establishment. A fully equipped bar in a wooden shelter by the beach. Various tropical cocktails were on the menu - alcoholic and non-alcoholic for the many underage humans that passed through this area. Music was blaring from the speakers - which after a few seconds, Colin realized was coming from the disc spinning on Gawappamon's head - wires hooked up to amplifiers, playing various popular songs.
"Welp, here we are" Bellamy said, cheerfully. "In the mood for drinks, anyone?"

Coronamon was a little disheartened to know that Colin hadn't seen much of Marshal, but was a little relieved to know that he seemed to still be thinking of him. It at least gave him a little hope for the future, and he smiled as the group walked up to Gawappamon's bar.
"You know it, babe," Coronamon smirked, winking at his partner. "I'm always down to get my drink on when it's with you."

They proceeded up to the bar. The Gawappamon greeted them warmly.
"Heya boys, what'll it be?" he asked, cheerfully.
"Two Mojitos thanks" Bellamy said, then glanced at Luke and Colin. "My partner - the human kid, he'll have a Shirley Temple and my brother'll have Sex on the Beach, heh heh"
"I'll have what?" Luke asked, suddenly looking surprised as Gawappamon gave a thumbs up and began to prepare the drinks. Colin looked confused too.
"They're cocktails, trust me, you'll like it" Bellamy winked. "Although if you wanna have the actual thing rather than a cocktail, just point out someone ya like and I'll hook you up, heh heh"
"Jesmon Christ mode, Bells, can you not?" Luke asked, exasperated.
"You kinda fell into that one, Luke" Colin said, giggling. Soon after, the four drinks were ready, placed on the wooden bar, and the Impmon paid. The sun was beginning to set, casting an orange glow over the seaside setting. Colin rather liked his non-alcoholic beverage, while Luke decided that he rather liked his.
"So, babe, how have you been holding up?" Bellamy asked his partner as he sipped his drink, appreciating its neat taste. "Haven't had too many jerks in your restaurant hopefully?"

"Eh, no more than usual," Coronamon said as he sipped at his mojito. Man, this thing felt strong. That didn't bode well for later. "Of course, I'm just the busmon at the moment, so I don't have to deal with it all that often. I'm due for a promotion before too long, though! They might be letting me move up to the kitchen staff!" Coronamon had certainly impressed the staff of the restaurant with his cooking skills. He was always stepping in if the current chef was getting overwhelmed, and had recieved compliments from many of the customers.
Showing a total lack of self-control, Coronamon finished his drink in record time and set the glass down gently on the bar. "Hit me with your best shot tonight, Bellamy," he winked. "I'm down to party!" Letting loose was an extreme rarity for Coronamon, so either the alcohol was already taking its hold on him, or he had something to get off his mind.

Phew, they sure served these Mojitos pretty strong. Bellamy found himself starting to be affected already. Best slow down a little, he didn't want to be a mess on the floor too quickly, heh heh. Relieved to hear that Coronamon hadn't been suffering too much from bad customers, and was in fact due for a promotion, the Impmon gave him a celebratory pat on the back.
"Hehe, awesome! I knew you've got it in ya!" he said, proudly. "Before long you'll be runnin' the joint!"
Bellamy watched with surprise as Coronamon finished his drink quickly, wondering how he was still standing. But then again, with the fire lion, he could probably take more alcohol because most of it would probably evaporate in his high body temperature. Bellamy was used to stuff like that happening - it was a technique that digimon like Agumons and Dracomons could use to drink him under the table - using the fire in their bellies to burn up the alcohol in their system while the Impmon got smashed.
Still though, the night was young. Bellamy put down his half-finished drink and grinned as he stepped onto the dance floor with Coronamon - freshly laid wooden planks under dance lights.
"Heh, alright then, babe" Bellamy said, holding Coronamon close as he prepared to dance. "Tonight I'm gonna rock your world". The music began, and Bellamy did a fun kind of dance in which he was in contact with his partner as much as possible.

Coronamon was quickly whisked away by Bellamy. If the alcohol wasn't affecting him before, it certainly was now. He nearly fell over just being pulled by Bellamy to the dance floor. The music started, and the two of them began dancing.
In Coronamon's time with Bellamy, he had basically learned two things. How to dance and not like a total fool, and also how to drink lots of alcohol and get away with it. He figured this wasn't a bad thing. He smiled as the two of them enjoyed their night together.

Bellamy grinned as Coronamon danced with him. Ah the thrill of it, he had longed for contact with his boyfriend for a while and this moment was pure bliss for him. Yes, the Impmon was a bit of an awkward dancer, but, he just lost himself in looking into those cute blue eyes, mesmerized by the flame on Coronamon's head, he just lost himself there for a while.
As Colin and Luke watched, they turned to talk to each other.
"It's neat that Bellamy's doing this for him" Luke said. He was delighted that his brother was really going out of his way to make their friend happy. "Although... do you think maybe we should try and get him back with Marshal soon?"
Colin thought about this. As a partner digimon, Coronamon was really not in the right place without Marshal. However, he also felt that it wasn't really their business to put their noses into something like this.
"Well, only if he's ready" Colin answered. "If he is, we can give him a lift to Terminus City on AirVessemon and he can stay with us in Shibuya". But if not, then he was willing to stay around in Whitewater so Bellamy could keep him happy for a little while.

Coronamon sighed as the music began to slow down. Taking that as his cue, he got in a little closer to Bellamy and began to attempt a slow-dance position with him.
"You know," he said, slurring slightly, "I'm super happy you guys came to check up on me. It's always so nice to see you. When I'm with you, it's like all my problems just...disappear, if even for just a short while." Oh, no. He was starting to ramble. He knew slamming down that mojito was a bad idea. He couldn't help it. It was just something about those deep, confident green eyes that made him feel more comfortable. "Ya know, though, as much as I love you, I still..." He suddenly trailed off, as if totally losing his train of thought. "I miss him."
