Refurbishing Something Abandoned [OPEN]

"Come to think about it," Hikaru suddenly muttered, stopping midway on his track while looking at one of many abandoned platform in Network Railway. "...These must have some sort of history behind it, huh?" he suddenly suggested, pointing at one with best condition so far.
"Hn? Well, I wonder? Maybe before Terminus is made or when people gonna transit, they used one of these... What's the big idea?"
"I want to make this one my house!"
"HA!?"
He felt like he need to doubletake what did his partner just said.
"I mean, c'mon, nobody using this anymore, so might as well as refurb it! What do you think, Yuuki? A house just for the two of us! Plus this platform house looks quite stylish if we could refurb it into a cafe or something."
"Who the fuck got an idea to combine ancient artifacts and cafe?"
"Book cafe duh! Even like this I'm a professional writer, ehen~" the Dorumon proudly stuck his chest out.
"...And where's the initial capital?"
"Duh, we can just use this!"
Suddenly, he produced a gemstone from his kilt. The blue gem shines with such brilliance when light passed through it.
"WHAT THE---THIS IS ATAMOLA EYES! I THOUGHT I ALREADY DONATED IT!"
"Tsktsktsk, you know, donation won't feed us. So I took a liberation to keep these for u---KYAAA, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? YUUKI? YUUKI!? YUUUUUKIIIIIIII!?"
Few minutes after, Yuuki found countless of artifact that somehow hidden inside Hikaru's kilt. How does that kit works, even the boy had no idea. He seriously began to think that his partner is Do***mon. Still, with this much stuff...
"...Fine, I get it... we can use this as our initial capital for refurbishing this platform."
The platform actually quite huge. Even if they want to make cafe and house side by sides, it's more than enough. That's why, with no one using it, Hikaru decided that this is the best thing to do at the moment.
...Though he can't help but to think he just recently got violated.

Hey, look! What's that in the distance? No, not that. The thing getting closer! Oh! It's a living nightmare! A caterpillar-like collection of gigantic green spheres is rapidly worming its way across the landscape. It comes to a sudden halt as it approaches the station, rearing up and rearranging itself into a floating 'tree'. The uppermost sphere bears a huge pair of lips which slowly open and emit a ray of purple light.
A five-odd foot caucasian boy in a school uniform materializes in the ray of light and dusts himself down, looking around. Oh hey! There's a Digimon over there! ...In a skirt. It's some kind of fox-raptor in a skirt. And a really tall guy. A slightly creepy tall guy. The newcomer waves as he slowly approaches, leaving his giant green monstrosity out in the sun. "Hey. I d-d-didn't expect to see any people out th-this far," he pauses, and reconsiders his choice of words, "Uh. H-humans, I should say,"Sometimes people followed the tracks if they didn't know where they were going, but he got the feeling this guy knew the area at least as well as him. "I'm T-Tadashi. What's got your interest out here, if you don't mind my asking?"

"What in tarnation--"
Clearly one never really seen any Sepirothmon doing that sort of movement nearly everywhere, or at least so Yuuki thought. He cannot help but to shudder at the way the green... uh, what's the word? is it tree? He's not even sure. Whatever it is, he cannot help but to get a bit pale from slight disgust. Hikaru was in worse condition though. He literally almost jumped if only he's not insisting to greet the newcomers.
"...This far? This is pretty much just outside Terminus, you know?" Yuuki pointed out. "Not that far if you ask me."
He doesn't look asian yet he got Japanese name. That's interesting somehow.
"I'm Yuuki and this is--"
"Your most fabulous Doru in both world, my name is Hikaru~" the Digimon did his usual 'fabulous' pose. "What we're doing you ask? That's quite a fun question, one that I like the most! 'What are you doing'---what are we doing is to refurb this platform! Nobody used it for years, so we kinda have an idea to turn this into a small cafe, y'see!"
"His idea, I know nothing," Yuuki retorted.
"Whatever floats your boat, partner. Anyway, we're currently trying to sell some artifacts for initial capital of the cafe... that sort of jazz, y'nno? But looks like a garage sale for artifacts felt odd, so I'm trying my hand on some merchandise here at least..."

"Oh, we're n-near Terminus?" Tadashi looks around, "I guess we went around in a b-big loop. Whoops," The boy grins, a little embarassed, "Hikaru, hm? A l-lot of Digimon I've met recently have nicknames. Pretty interesting. Oh! Manners. Uh, this is...S-Sakkakumon, at the minute," He gestures at the horror which the human mind can barely comprehend.
"Greetings!" It calls out in a loud, upper-class English accent, lips forming a creepy smile. "I do hope we didn't startle you too much on our approach,"
"Chill," Tadashi snaps his fingers at the thing to get its attention, before turning back to the odd pair before him, "Huh. A c-cafe? That's pretty neat. I'm s-sure you'd get plenty of foot-traffic with p-people going past to and from Terminus,"
"What kind of merchandise are you selling? Artifacts you said?"
Quiet, you.
"G-good question. I mean. I doubt w-we'd be able to afford any of them, but I'm always interested in what other people are doing," Tadashi continues, "If you n-need any help with anything though...building a d-display for stuff, or even clearing up the station a little, we'd be h-happy to help,"
"We would?" Tadashi shoots him a look, "...Yes, of course we would. Forgive my outburst, my lord," The towering apex of nightmares relents to his tamer.

"Well, if you compare this to Whitewater or heck, Folder Forest, yes, we're pretty much beside Terminus. Granted, this might be a bit in middle between the forest and Terminus but whatever," Yuuki commented. Then again, Hikaru tilted his head the moment the boy said something about Digimon having nicknames.
"That's pretty much my name though. It's just like calling a human 'human', is that even a name? I'm a Dorumon, yes, but I'm not named Dorumon."
Still, yes, the Sakakumon does indeed bothered the two, especially with its huge, red, kissy lips. "...I wonder how many sticks of lipstick does it spent to look like that everyday?" Hikaru muttered, to which Yuuki retorted with smacking him above the head. "Hey, at least I didn't think that with mustache it would have been perfect!" Another smack.
Well, it's true. Hikaru produced something from his kilt that looks like a japanese teacup, yet above is definitely not a tea, but something more solid. "I call it Macaroon Matcha! Yuuki's favorite snack!"
"...Well, only because it's not so sweet..."
...Probably normal people gonna get shocked when they know that underneath that cookie is actually a tea.
"Artifacts, yes, but I guess it won't really sell well, so... according to him..."
"First I'll try with this small 'Good Luck' charm!" Hikaru produced a small pouch with 'good luck' embroidered on both front and back. "Inside is a special metal that could turn hot or cold in place of reverse temperature, so if it's cold, then the metal will turn warm, if it's hot, it'll turn cold! It's one of our latest finding in one of a ruin. However, apparently it's only good for seven days if you took it out from the pouch. It can't really act as an air conditioner or heater though, so let's not go there."
Still, a help will be really appreciated. But before Hikaru could even consented to it, Yuuki just shook his head. "Nah, best not, I mean... we appreciate it, but we're not going to work right away, anyway..."

"Huh," Tadashi examines the metal by leaning a little closer, "That's pretty cool, actually. Shame it doesn't l-last longer. Might be n-nice to have a little piece of metal th-that turns cool when you're on a hot day, or k-keeps you warm in the snowy areas. I suppose if you had enough of it, y-you could sell it as a novelty. Or sell them as l-l-limited-use things to keep people's hands cool or warm. Like those th-thermal things people put in their pockets,""
He turns an eye to Sakkakumon and merely nods. There's a dazzling burst of white light as it rapidly shrinks and seperates into three humanoid figures. Mercurymon, a tall green Digimon whose appearance is strikingly similar to Sakkakumon's. Grumblemon, a little gnome with a hammer. And Arbormon, a wooden...uh. He's made of wood. Tadashi holds up his bulky white and black Digivice and recalls Grumblemon into it, sensing they're about ten seconds from one of his rants.
"Take f-five, guys. Well, if you ever change your mind about the h-help, I'm sure we'd be happy to pitch in," He's not really sure what to say about the snack. "Uh. S-so you guys search a lot of ruins, then? Are y-you archaeologists or...just explorers?" Boy, this kid sure asks a lot of questions.
Arbormon wanders off a little, and starts rapping his knuckles on various solid parts of the station, listening intently. "Don't mind him. He's a b-builder. He likes to ch-check building for structural faults,"
Super weird.

"Probably enough for five hundreds," Yuuki commented."Good thing that even shards of it work work just fine," he muttered. It's a strange item that found somewhere far, he guessed it's good enough. Still, novelty is how it is. Hikaru pocketed the said sample item and took another.
"The next product is this. It's just a simple glow in the dark stone. Another novelty, but if your torch broke you just need to..." he took a small container with water in it and put the stone in. Of course because it's still light out, he covered the container from light. While it's not as bright as torch, definitely they could see the bluish glow from the stone.
"It reacts with water. Probably rather than for adventuring it worth more for diving or dating though."
Yuuki just smiled at Tadashi's offer. "We sure will, but it just doesn't sit right well with me to ask strangers something like this so su---" oh, someone already checking the building? Well, why not? "...though he seem already do it somehow," he muttered. "Anyway, yeah, you're right. We're... both. I'm the archaeologist, and he's just my adventure loving partner."
"While stories interest me," Hikaru started "digging rocks for hours is so not me."

"Uh, y-yeah. Arbormon's usually pretty quiet," Tadashi smiles, "He l-likes checking over buildings, so I just leave him to it. It's not l-like he harms anyone," He eyes the glowing stone in the water, "Th-that's pretty neat too. I can see there being a market for things like that,"
Arbormon continue to circle the station before coming back to the group. He doesn't say anything, just moving to find somewhere to sit quietly. What an unobtrusive fellow.
Tadashi listens to the pair talk and smiles, "Th-that's kind-of what we do as well. We go around adventuring and t-trying to help people. Usually we get into a ridiculous amount of trouble, though. I b-bet there are some ruins out on ElDoradimon, y'know. Or at least some ancient artifacts. He's ancient, after all,"
Then again, the Digimon there aren't super friendly towards humans, are they?

"Pretty quiet, is it?" Yuuki muttered. Well rather than pretty quiet, it's more correct to say that he really do everything as he please then stay there without saying anything. Then again, he's the one who rejected their help right? He listened to what Tadashi have to say.
"Eh, not even with 100km stick I'd touch that one Digimon. Really, I really don't want to touch it. I've gone hiatus for a year, so I had no idea what happened there, but it's seem to be some group of evil human. Not worth my time to go somewhere with human hating mindset. I say if you want to go somewhere, go where you're accepted for what you are, not where you're prosecuted."
Ancient sure ancient, but he's damn sure that he don't want to explore that one ruin. Despite slow, he's well aware that El Doradimon is not exactly just a moving ruin filled with treasure. It's also a home and city of many solo digimons. Most who have bigoted view of humans.

"That's fair enough, I suppose. I d-don't know much about what went on there either. I h-heard a few tamers screwed around and ended up t-twisting the views of the Digimon there through their actions," Tadashi admits with a sigh.
Arbormon speaks up in a surprisingly soft, gentle voice for such a bulky monster, "It's a shame. A few people had to tarnish the reputation of an entire species for their own selfish reasons, whatever they were," That's all he has to say, apparently. He goes back to staring at distant trees.
"He's r-right. I don't know much about ElDoradimon itself. I'm not even sure it'd n-notice if we talked to it, but I've thought about going back and t-trying to prove that not all humans are bad," He shrugs, "I suppose you're right, it's nice to be accepted, but I've m-made it my mission in life to improve everyone else's. If there's something I can d-do to help relations between Digimon and Humans, I'm all for it,"
How sickeningly noble of you.

"Well, it's simple really," Yuuki commented then sat at one of the edge of the platform. "Those who are not broadminded are unable to see the bigger picture that not everyone is the same. We lives in factions. However, those people overgeneralize people and that's where it starts being bad. Bias is dangerous. They look away at the cruelty their people do, but when there is a mistake done by those who aren't part of their group, they condemn them. Don't the way emotions work is funny? Or is it the bias? Both human and Digimon are the same."
That sounds like he's talking about something that he detested. Still, Yuuki shook his head.
"That's a bit too naive. What do you expect to drop in their midst? Are you a spirit user? Can you turn into a Digimon?" rhetoric question, but one that sounds like it'll give some emotional cuts "Don't you think that you going there is like saying 'I'm here to offer my head, please accept our apology'? A waste of a good life if I can say myself."
"Yuuki, that's a bit too harsh," Hikaru chided.
"But it's true," Yuuki reasoned without missing a beat "There's no need to go out your way to fix a deep rooted bigotry. Instead, you should change the perception of those who aren't as bigoted yet. Turn their closest friends into your ally. Educate them that this world is not black and white, and let what happened afterward flows naturally. That's what you should do if you want to ease bigotry. "
He sighed and stretched his body. "...That's why I'm going to get my own organization to fix that sort of mentality."

"You might not see a need to go out of y-your way to fix deep rooted bigotry, but I do. I've done so successfully in the h-human world, and as you've said, Digimon and h-humans aren't all that different, really," Tadashi shrugs.
He doesn't seem like he's discouraging the other, "There's room for b-both of our ideas, though," What a hippy.
Tadashi's partners don't chime in for the most part, apparently content to stay relatively quiet. "I want to help everyone g-get along, regardless of how deep their biggotry goes. Like I said, I did it in the human world. I've thought about expanding my Sengoku Corps to d-do something similar. Help people and Digimon in trouble, and help bring them together by showing them that they're not s-so different after all,"

"Again, like I was saying, think it for a moment. There are a way that's better than diving head on to the center of the problem and only make it worse," Yuuki muttered. This guy, he might be nervous or have some speech impediment, but he's quite a fiery guy, huh? Yuuki is pretty bad against this sort of people... "...In human world? Well, I dunno... Heck, I dunno how experienced you are, I dunno if it's even proper to cheer for you, but you understand that this is an entire city filled with Digimons with deep seated dislike toward human, right?"
Though, Sengoku Corps? "...What's that organization? Sengoku Corps? The name might be cool, but the era is filled with war just as it's name you know? Are you really sure to name your organization with that sort of name? It's a bit violent somehow..."
"Nitpicking, Yuuki, nitpicking," Hikaru commented, grinning wryly. What a history freak his partner is.
"Still, like I said I'm not against you reducing the bigotry, because I think that's also a nice thing to do and want to do it, but your way of going straight to that sort of conflict felt a bit too rushed. I prefer the long time fixing instead of instantaneous one. Anyway... lemme state again that I'm not against the general goal, in fact, I'm supportive. It's just the process that I don't endorse. However if you need help, I'll help... as long as it's NOT going to El Doradimon and immediately saying 'I'm coming with peace'."
