Unbeknownst to Biyomon, the blunders were weighing heavily on Coolmon. Like, real heavy. "I hope so...Uh. I got your number too." She had good ears, so it was pretty easy to record Rinji's numero. Eventually, the two had come to a wide open space that was square-shaped.
"Yeah, this is generally what city squares look like. If you look over there...You can see the Leomon memorial!" She pointed to the memorial at the statues, beaming at them. "See, my uncle's a big fan of this spot! At least, that's what I remember. I am too! Cause Leomon are actually like...real cool! They punch the air so hard it lights on fire! I don't even think that's possible but they do it anyway!"
Aw, man, she was nerding out over dead lions. She looked at her map and pointed to the mall. "Yep, that's the Terminus mall. Maybe holosuits are in there? Who knows..."

Rinji was about to ask about how Coolmon could have an uncle, until she mentioned lions that could set the air on fire with their punches. "R-really? Woah," he remarked, jaw slightly agape. That had to be one powerful punch. "I hope I get to meet one one day, as long as he doesn't punch me."
The statues of them sure were splendid. He briefly wondered why they were memorialised, until Coolmon pointed back towards the mall.
"Well, I hope so! I really want to see one now," he said excitedly. That's what this trip to the city had built up to, hadn't it? And they had their phones now, so all that was really left was the holosuits and lunch! Then if they wanted to plan anything else after that...
"Alright, let's go!" He said, scuttling forward, ready for Coolmon to walk with him to the mall. If so, they'd walk down through the memorials and into the clean, fresh atmosphere of Terminus' largest store.

"He won't. Wanna know why?" Coolmon turned towards Rinji with that wide grin on her face. "Cause you're a good person! The best person I've ever had the chance of meeting!" This was something she said with pride. Yeah. She looked up ahead towards the mall and scuttled forward along with her arthropod companion. She had paid respect towards the Leomon of the memorial, and that was fine by her.
And when she had come into the mall, she looked up and around. This place was bustling and huge and all sorts of things at the same time and it had honestly been almost...overwhelming. But in time it brought to light a simple question.
"Hey, Rinji? Where do we even start here?"

Rinji found himself blushing again from Coolmon's compliment. He found himself smiling bashfully and nodded towards Coolmon as they entered Terminus.
"You know... I think you're a good person, too," he eventually said. It was an honest sort of statement, the type that isn't said aloud unless the speaker truly believes it. And in this case, Rinji really did believe it.
Nothing more was said afterwards, however, as the scent of air-conditioning and the sheer expanse of the mall's interior washed over him. It'd been like walking through a waterfall into an entirely different world. Away from the grey, towering and grimy world of Terminus into a shining, clear and sterile shopper's dream.
The two would've found themselves wandering aimlessly if it hadn't been for Coolmon bringing to light the all important question.
"Ah, well," Rinji started, feeling at once overwhelmed. He glanced around, hoping it would help him figure where they would go next. Soon enough, his eyes fell onto a particularly wide store, situated a level above them. There was nothing peculiar or out of place about it, except what was read on its front in large, block capital letters.
'TAMER SUPPLIES'
"Do you think that store will have them?" He asked her, quite sure that they would, but not enough not to make it into a decision for two.

Coolmon felt like she was being way too bubbly. Was that a thing? "Thanks!" That was her only reply. Indeed, a silence sort of washed over the duo as they entered. But air conditioning sure felt real nice. "...I think they might. Unless they...somehow got banned from selling them. No offense to the BlueBiyomon but who...who actually does that? Like, c'mon!" She started towards the Tamer Supplies store. "Just...how? The odds of it are so like...astronomically impossible that I might be able to punch a meteor before I somehow lose the ability to sell my darn ice cream!"
She was also hoping Rinji'd tag along behind her. Somehow this place seemed way too plain for comfort...

"Yeah, that was, um, pretty weird," Rinji replied, remembering the Biyomon's coy behaviour. "I mean, what if all the stores had them banned? That would be crazy," he went on, feeling invited to join in on Coolmon's chatter.
The centipede skittered along beside her as they talked. "Er, punch a meteor? I think that would seriously hurt your fist." To make the point, he glanced down at Coolmon's pink bundle of fur that passed as her paw. Her paws were so small and dainty compared to his hard, spindly appendages.
Rinji felt himself soften for a second at the thought, slowing down, before shaking it off and easily catching back up to Coolmon. Hopefully she hadn't noticed that.
"Oh, an escalator." He stopped, suddenly realising the technical issues of boarding one. Where exactly was he supposed to put his legs? Two for each step? Well, he had to do something; Coolmon was watching!
"Uh." He faltered as he placed his first yellow leg onto the rising platform, which apparently was just enough time to pull the rest of him forward. To say the least, he stumbled.
"Ow!" Rinji yelped, scrabbling and catching himself just in time to stand on the rising stairs. "Oh, okay, that - that wasn't so bad..." He blushed as he looked to Coolmon, feeling the weight of his blunder. Had he just revealed to her that he'd never stepped foot on an escalator before?

"If they had them all banned, wouldn't that mean we'd just be stuck here and humans would have to go to inconvenient lengths just to hide their buddies?" Really activates one's almonds. "Also I'm pretty sure punching a meteor, while severely painful, would be really awesome if it like...actually broke the meteor...Hm...I'm gonna do that one day. Punch a meteor. It'll be cool."
When they hit the escalator, Coolmon...actually was indeed watching. She was watching the entire time. "...Y'know. I...actually never realized the perils of taking an escalator up with you have a lot of legs...Maybe I should help you next time." She didn't seem like she was judging him or anything but she was more or less wondering how she could make this less strenuous for her insect pal as she followed him up.

Rinji grinned awkwardly. The best grin one could do while trying to 'save' a situation. "Yeah... I don't really think about it until I have to climb a ladder or, well, go up an escalator." Going to the gym was out of the question.
He stood next to Coolmon as they rose, up and up, smooth as gangstas. There was something really entertaining about being able to rise up with zero effort. Rinji quickly scurried off as the escalator reached its end.
"Y'know, I think maybe I could headbutt a meteor," he mentioned as they walked around to the storefront. "But I think I'd want to be digivolved for that. Or have a very small meteor."
He stopped in front of the sliding glass doors. The store wasn't too packed, there again, it wasn't a busy day today. Rows and rows of tamer-related items lined the insides and right near the front, a sign saying 'holodevices' hung above a display of button activated tech.
"That's gotta be it," Rinji said, as he walked into the store, hopefully with Coolmon still in tow.

"Escalators are real funky." Coolmon stated, quite sagely at that. "They just go up and keep going up and coughing up more steps. It's crazy." And adding onto the meteor discussion? "...I think big or small it's probably gonna hurt no matter what..." She mumbles, still thonking on this as she followed Rinji.
In fact, she got so absorbed in her thinking that when Rinji made note of the holodevices section? It took her a second to realize it.
"Oh, hey, there they are!" Coolmon quickly took hold of one of Rinji's legs and pulled him over to what she -assumed- were the holosuits! Which was actually just the aforementioned display. Boy oh boy did she look excited!

Rinji couldn't help but smile when Coolmon enthusiastically dragged him to see the holodevices. Still, now that they were there, he found himself staring at the display.
"This one looks like a demo," he said, plucking a white one from the shelf. "There's only one button? Oh, there are a couple more." He was kind of talking to Coolmon as they explored the device together, and kind of talking to himself.
Without thinking, he clicked down on the central button. The device beeped. Appearing startled, he stared at it incredulously as it started... scanning him.
"Um, what's it doing?" He asked Coolmon, although she was probably equally as confused as he was. The scan completed.
Then, in a flash of light, it threw on a completely different appearance onto Rinji. He immediately yelped, fell backwards onto his backside and stared at his hands in horror. Yes, hands. Rinji was now a perfectly simulated, red headed and amber eyed human.
He also had no idea how to walk on two legs.

Coolmon stared at the displays in silence, before snatching one for herself. "...At least two buttons." She mumbled as she examined the device proper, and clicked the central button.
The device also beeped. It also scanned Coolmon. "Uh...I think it's doing freaky techno magic stuff and it fills me with a primal fear." She uttered. Yep, that was confusion alright. Coolmon instinctively jumped back at the flash of light that enveloped the Scolomon before she was enveloped in her own flash of light, ending up more than a few inches taller and as a pink haired, scarf-clad human with green eyes.
"...Rinji? Is that you? Did you get replaced by some weird human digimon that looks like an actual human?"
She sounded weird. To herself, at least. She looked down at her gloved hands and let out a "WOAH."

"Uhh, I guess? I don't know how the holo-devices work," he admitted while still sat on the floor. Both legs were awkwardly splayed in front of him. He held out a hand and seemed to admire the fleshy webbing that stretched across the digits.
"I wonder why you got gloves and I didn't? Hey, you still have your scarf too! I guess it must've decided to give us an appearance that'd match our real forms," he theorised. Maybe he would've actually looked intelligent for it, if he weren't still sat on the floor.
"Um, let me try and get up." Rinji placed a hand on the floor and tried to hoist himself back up onto two legs. Upon doing so, he immediately fell forwards again.
"How do you walk on two legs? It's not stable at all!" How did humans do it? How did Coolmon do it? "Walking like this isn't safe at all," he continued, suddenly feeling a whole new world of concern for everyone he knew that had to do this everyday. "What happens if one of your legs trip?"

"I don't know either is the thing! You got really nice eyes, though! Uh...Here, let me help. I think it just based appearances off what we actually are and didn't...account for a single thing otherwise. It's super duper weird." Coolmon explained, walking over to Rinji and kneeling to carefully help him up. And again, it felt -really- hot all of a sudden.
"The thing with walking on two legs is that you have...like...less mass to work with so it's easier to move around I guess? What I do when I trip is get up and keep going. Call me simple but it's...something I feel like I've known since I was an egg. Maybe even before that. I'll help you get used to walking, though. I promise. I'm not used to being this tall, though..."
Once Coolmon had Rinji on his feet, she kept her arms around him, mostly as support.
This could also be interpreted as a hug.

He... had nice eyes? "Oh, uh, thanks," he said as he blushed and suddenly looked down to the floor. Although he kind of had to look up again when Coolmon went to help him up.
Gently grabbing her hand, he allowed her to pull him steadily onto his feet. The last thing he wanted was to pull her down with him. "Th-thank you." He was now stood, sort of semi-embracing her, while his knees shook. Perhaps he would've been more embarrassed, if he weren't scared to death of falling on his face.
Rinji really wasn't confident on two legs.
He nodded as she explained the basics of two legged walking. "O-okay. I don't think I'm used to being this tall either." Even though technically, length-wise, he was longer than the average human. But that didn't mean he reared up and walked around as tall as the average human. The height between the floor and his head was way too high.
Suddenly, he decided to look away from the floor. And instead found himself staring into Coolmon's eyes. "Just... wow." He said all of a sudden.
"Umm.. your eyes. They're amazing," he explained. "Seriously. You should look in a mirror."

Coolmon blinked as Rinji glanced to the floor, before she rededicated her focus into helping him stand up straight. "E-Ease up a little. I'm here, it's fine..." She whispered. It was meant to be reassuring. "If...it makes you feel better, I don't think any form of mine is this tall."
...Coolmon was pretty sure of that, at least. Wait, what? What was that about her eyes? Coolmon remained silent for a few moments, as though processing what Rinji just said. Gears turning in her head and all. And then when it hit her, her face immediately turned as red as a beet! "A-Ah! Uh, t-thank you you've got just as amazing eyes!"
