It was weird, Basile thought to himself as he pondered the recent developments sat on a bench overlooking a small lake... It was night, In Miyashita Park, The park was dimly lit, but had more than enough illumination to see the night sky and the backwash of Shibuya in the distance. Ordinarily, Basile wouldn't be out after dark, but this was Northern Shibuya, not the crime riddled Greater Shibuya ward, Besides, he had a trick up his sleeve, or should he say a 'Digimon' in his backpack. The night always allowed Basile to relax, looking up at the stars and letting his worries just wash away.
The Aryan french boy sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose between his fingers, He had quite a few now it seemed. It all started a few short days ago, another wretched monday morning to start off the week. As he'd woken and gone about his usual routine of food, shower and dressing himself, he'd noticed an ominous growling noise coming from his room.
Upon exploration he'd found a small red orb with a flame on top that looked like what a child would imagine the sun to be like. Then it glared and him and spat fire at his face, It didn't have a name, but went on to explain that it was a 'digimon' a creature literally made up of ones and zeroes... a technological marvel just by being itself, and then it decided Basile was its 'tamer'. a 'Tamer' was apparently a life partner, and as their bond grew and the two spent more time together the 'Digimon' would grow stronger and change shape.
It sounded like some grade-A 'you've just been punked' garbage, but slowly over the week Basile came to the horrifying realisation... It had to be telling the truth, He'd noticed an almost longing feeling when the little fireball spitter had been absent, noticed that he'd made more food than necessary in a morning, and started to remove more things than necessary from his backpack that you could fit a palm sized little sun quite easily.
This feeling whatever it it was, was both terrifying and amazing at the same time, it was insidious in nature, altering Basile's mind at a sub-conscious level, making Basile think there was something wrong when his 'Partner' was missing and altering his basic thoughts and processes to automatically accommodate for the extra person in his life.
It was amazing though for the same reason, it meant that the little spitfire was telling the truth, there truly was a new world. Made up of digital monsters that can come and go as they please. It was strange... but not unpleasant... he supposed, He'd always had trouble making friends... maybe having one thrown at him for life wouldn't be so bad.
The little one was sleeping right now, in his trusty backpack nestled between his belongings, apparently new digimon were similar to babies, and slept for most of their time. That too, was good, it meant the little spitfire couldn't burn anymore of Basile's belongings. Though the pair had agreed on a name for the little devil. Cinder.

It wasn't uncommon for Hana to be walking around after dark. Though it was rare for her to return to the human world. Still, if she was going to make a full move to the digital world she needed to stock up on things like clothes. She was sure there may be a tailor in the digital world able to make her clothes at some point but she hadn't met them yet.
So she spent half her time here in the human world earning money with her hang. She had been playing it up till it got dark. Once the sunset making noise even if it was music was often seen as a nuisance. Her life was pretty much on her back but her future was in her arms. The Dracmon only partly playing the part of a stuffed animal at the moment.
"Hmm," he perked up as he sensed another digimon. He held out one hand its eye scanning for what he felt. He felt her fingers tap him as she paused. Her fingers spelling out what's wrong on his belly. "I sense a digimon."
"Another tamer," she spelled out.
"Most likely," he looked back at her to see her smile. They hadn't met many as was. So he understood her excitement and willingness to check it out. "Just be careful." They had no idea who it was.
Hana approached the bench curiously. She didn't see a digimon just a guy. He was blonde, usually a sign of rebelliousness in Japan though his features didn't quite look the same. A mix? He had a backpack though so maybe the digimon was in there. She remembered keeping Ryoko in hers for a time before he evolved. It may be the same.
"Ahem,"Ryoko announced their presence since Hana had been so quiet in approaching. She had already snuck up on him more than once. She was just too quiet.
Hana gave a sheepish smile in response and a slight wave. She should probably get out her notepad for this. She shifted her backpack slightly grabbing her readily available notepad. She didn't expect everyone to know sign language.
"May we join you," she wrote out and showed it to him. So much for keeping the fact he was alive a secret till they knew for sure. Ryoko just gave a small two finger wave. The dracmon already knowing his tamer wasn't afraid of anything though sometimes it was troublesome.

He really didn't know what to make of this, It was incredibly daunting, special monsters that could blow up a home with an errant twitch, that had their own digital world... made him wonder as to why they would even come here, whatever they had in their world would be inevitably more interesting than this mundane human world.
"Ahem," Someones voice cut into his thoughts, throwing him off track and giving him a shock, jumping noticeably and instinctively moving both himself and his backpack away from the noise, placing himself between the bag and the new noise. What he saw, was not what he expected... a thin, frail-looking brown haired girl and her... digimon. To put it bluntly, everything about this digimon screamed 'evil' so hard it was about to shatter glass. That being said, the digimon didn't really fit with it's presumed tamer... Meh.
Who was he to judge? He'd gotten saddled with some little pyromaniac with a foul temper, Basile vaguely noticed the girl shift her weight and start writing in a...notepad? Huh, that was a new one. The girl tamer had written out a request to join him, not like her cared much. T'was a public space after all. 'By all means, join me'
Basile sat back down on the far end of the bench, placing his back pack on the floor besides him. So, this tamer had obviously detected him and/or Cinder somehow... that was worrying. Had they come looking for Cinder? or was this a chance meeting? It seemed a tad... convenient that he'd been thinking about his new problems and digimon and a girl just happened to appear with both the same issues and a digimon of her own... Maybe he was being paranoid.
'My name is Basile Alexandre, It's a pleasure to meet you.' a nice, if formal greeting, neither of the two should be able to take offence to that. Basile's mind started to wander back to the topic of the 'Digital World' and its various dangers, it sounded Wonderful, Terrifying...an Adventure, that could quite quickly become a lethal one. Basile Sighed... today wasn't his day. He'd felt more than heard the little terror wake, it wouldn't be long before Cinder demanded food, attention or entertainment... usually a combination of all three. The last thing he needed was for the little devil to offend these people.
Basile mentally reviewed what Cinder had taught him recently, He hadn't managed to get much to stick, but the Digimon currently saluting him screamed 'Virus' to him. Wonderful.

Hana sat as far from him as she could with Ryuoko on her lap he didn't seem all that pleased with meeting them. So much for possibly making friends but at least he was polite enough to introduce himself despite it all. She started to flip to the page with her introduction.
"Hanashiro Yukimaru and I'm Ryoko," the dracmon said glad he didn't just flee at the sight of them. "Do forgive her she is mute so she has to use writing or sign language to communicate."
Hana smiled as he took over saving her the trouble. He'd been doing that a lot lately but then again he kind of was the voice of the pair. She had a hard time finding anything to disagree with when he spoke.
"Nice to meet you. Just call me Hana," she wrote down and showed it to him. She pondered the reason he was sitting out here at night on a bench. He probably just wanted to think or needed help. She couldn't be sure which though.
"Considering you didn't run when we approached I assume you know digimon," Ryoko said deducing the fact he was correct. "We have an innate sense for one another in the human world. Think of it as feeling something familiar in an unfamiliar place. I do wish she would have waited till we were sure but I'm glad we didn't just scare a random person."
Hana let out another sheepish smile. It was true they probably should have confirmed he knew what digimon were before Ryoko actually made any movements or she referred to him like he was alive. She never considered the fact they might scare someone. Just another reason she needed someone to keep her in line.

Lovely, He'd managed to annoy the girl despite his attempt at cordiality. Truly, Basile was a perfect social butterfly, capable of making friends with anybody. Before he could wallow in his failure too long, he noticed that Hanashiro was flipping rapidly between her pages for something... Huh, she was immediately cut off by her Digimon who seemed surprisingly polite for a virus... maybe judging it immediately based on appearance was a poor choice... Oh god, the implications of what he just did.
Either way, he responded 'It's alright, Hana, Ryoko. You can only deal with the hand your given. Mine, happens to contain an angry pyromaniac. Yes, I've been recently... Inducted? into the world of Digimon.' Basile smirked at Hanashiro's rather embarrassed reaction. It was funny, in a rather mundane way.
His eyes focused back on Shibuya proper and the night sky and almost immediately sighed again... he was doing that a ton recently, as his Backpack started to move and his Digimon started figuring out on how to escape the 'comfy prison' and no doubt give him no end of problems.
Basile decided to pose a question to his new... acquaintances 'How long have you both been... Partners? I find myself somewhat overwhelmed, I was somewhat dropped into it all recently.' It was just after this comment, that the digimon hiding in his backpack figured out how to get out of his backpack from the inside. With chocolate smeared around her mouth, did Cinder appear, in her Sunmon form.
Naturally, Cinder disregarded any common sense and leapt up into Basile's lap, earning an annoyed grunt from the Aryan boy. 'Why didn't you wake me up! I've been napping all day! Oh? who are they?' The Sunmon jumped from ranting at Basile to asking about the new arrivals, because In-training digimon apparently had the attention span of a goldfish... a chocolate-addicted goldfish. Or at least Cinder did.
'I believe that's called 'Sleeping' Cinder' Basile was smirking at the little digimon, who was glaring at him like her sheer force of will could set Basile on fire... she must have forgotten that she could shoot fire, or she was trying to make a good impression.

Pyromaniac, that sounded a bit serious. Hana wasn't scared as much as curious. She suddenly wanted to see his partner and understand why it liked fire. She somewhat liked it herself it was warm and looked nice in a campfire setting.
Ryoko was about to answer when the question of who his partner is was answered. A holy beast how interesting that such opposites would be brought together like this. He was naturally wary but it was obviously young and not nearly strong enough to be really a cause for worry.
"Only two months ourselves digital world time. Human world time it would be close to a few hours," Ryoko answered his question first and foremost. The time differential between the human and digital world was massive. "It is rather complicated, to say the least." Ryoko couldn't quite bring himself to explain it. A person had to experience it first hand to realize the gravity of it all and it could be disorienting.
"Nice to meet you Cinder," Ryoko said finally addressing the young digimon. "This is Hana and I'm Ryoko."
"It means 'trippy' it really fits I think," Hana wrote out chuckling. Ryoko still didn't care for the name himself but for whatever reason she enjoyed it. It did ease his dislike of it.
"I'm not clumsy, just weird looking I suppose," Ryoko said shrugging.
"I think you're cute," Hana wrote out.
"You have a weird definition of cute," Ryoko said unable to contend with her kindness. Being called cute left him lightly blushing though it was hard to see against his black skin.
"You're cute too," Hana showed Cinder. She looked like a little sun. Maybe as she matured he'd think of her as less of a pyro and more of someone to light up his life. Speaking of fire it had a little tuft of flame sticking up like a candle. She wondered if it was hot to the touch.
Ryoko knew what she was thinking and as he felt her arm lift up he pushed it back down. She shouldn't touch the flame let alone the digimon without permission. Her lack of fear leading to never-ending curiousness could take its toll.
"I know its a lot to take in but don't over think it too much. The digital world is separate from this one. So long as you are not in it you don't have to worry about it," Ryoko said trying to be comforting. "Focus on raising her for now. She'll become your best friend in time as well as your protector if you ever do decide to venture into our world."
"They can get really big," Hana wrote out. Ryoko sighed in response. That wasn't something he needed to read or focus on right now. Hana gave a small smile as she realized she did it again. Still, she knew Ryoko enjoyed that part of her.

Digital World Time? Human World Time? So there was a serious disconnect between the two then... if a few months in the digital world could be the equivalent of a few short hours in the digital world, What did that mean for humans in the digital world then? did they age months at a time in a few hours? Did they Age as if they were in the human world while in the Digital World? Every answer seemed to bring many more questions with it. He couldn't wrap his mind around the concept, it was one thing to read an anime or manga and hear that time is distorted between two different worlds, but to actually Live in that reality was strange, almost alien.
Cinder looked at the new people in curiosity, she knew about other humans naturally, but they were boring. They didn't have digimon partners, this one did though. She was strange, preferring to write rather than actually speak, maybe her vocal cords were damaged in some horrifying accident? Meh. Her imagination would beat any mundane explanation. Cinder decided this human was tolerable, she wasn't offensive and while her partner left something to be desired due to his Virus nature, he seemed to be making an effort to break the stereotype. She would give both of these individuals a chance, just the one though.
'It certainly throws one for a loop, that's for sure. It sounds like the plot of a bad anime to be honest' Basile responded to Ryoko, unconsciously Basile scooped up his partner and held her still while wiping her mouth, removing the chocolate smears of what had been his emergency snacks.
Cinder, annoyed at this course of action as it was embarrassing her to be seen in such a state by their new...allies? acquaintances? friends? whatever the word, she would not be man-handled like this. Every time Basile attempted to clean her mouth she would attempt to bite his hand, sometimes successful in nipping his hand, sometimes getting a mouthful of handkerchief, Either way she was infuriated. How dare he embarrass her like this!
Basile's voice cut her out of her fury and indignation, though it certainly lingered 'I'm sure you can't be the worst looking digimon in the world, you may not look aesthetically pleasing to humans, but then I doubt any of us look aesthetically pleasing to you digimon.' Her partner was offering paltry reassurances to a virus type! what had she missed today! they had set rules and guidelines! Holy = Good, Virus = Bad! He didn't get to go rogue and start praising people! Unless it was her!
Cinder absently noticed that the girl was holding up for her to read, a compliment? this evoked an unfortunate amount of pleasure from the little In-training digimon, as was noticeable when she was unable to stop a smile from stretching across her face and the flame on top of her head to shine just a little brighter. 'Uh, thank you Hana, Its nice to be appreciated'
Basile apparently noticed her embarrassment and/or jealousy because he was smirking down at the little sun. It was clear through the bond they both shared what he was thinking, which annoyed Cinder, this bond was a surprise. IF not completely unpleasant.
'We'll probably hold on that for now, at least until Cinder gets a bit bigger, I'd rather she be able to defend herself, should the need arise' Basile's voice once again cut Cinder from her thoughts and his words evoked a strange sort of happiness from her, that he would care enough for her to ensure she could defend herself before venturing off to the digital world, which he certainly wanted to... he had a nearly insatiable curiosity after all.

What Basile said was very true to be honest. There were far more ugly beasts to be had in the world. Like Porcupamon that thing was a source of nightmares even for him. It definitely gave a whole new level of looking bad.
Hana watched them thinking their relationship was kind of cute. Like an older brother looking after his sister. She couldn't really say fatherly though since he didn't sound like an old man to her. She never had a sibling herself but when she thinks about it Ryoko is like a big brother to her as well. Though he's smaller.
"A wise decision,"Ryoko said nodding. "It may be dangerous but it just as equally full of things to enjoy."
"There's a lovely beach and a big forest and huge cities," Hana wrote down to show. She enjoyed the digital world enough she forgot the commas. Something that embarrassed her and she went back to fix.
"It is just as large and diverse as the human world,"Ryoko agreed giving a small smile at his tamer. "I travel as a scholar and Hana well she plays her music."
"Music is the path to the soul,"Hana wrote.
"Connects souls," Ryoko said thinking the way she wrote it made it sound weird. If she could talk he just knew she'd rarely think before she spoke. He just shook his head smiling; at least he understood her well enough.
"We may look different but digimon are a lot like humans in mind. So long as one uses common sense and is polite you will find very little in the way of trouble," Ryoko advised. Hana nodded in agreement.

Basile nodded in agreement with Ryoko's assessment of the Digital World, It sounded wonderful yet alien, amazing yet dangerous. It sounded great, honestly. He now had another world he could visit whenever he wanted, escape this boring Mundane world for weeks at a time and have it only have been an hour. The appeal was strong enough that Basile could almost taste it. All throughout his life he'd been isolated, though through personal choice. He'd never made 'friends' in school because they were distractions, He'd never bothered to get to know his 'like-minded peers' because they were immature children who focused on such minute, silly things. Who had the newest clothes, who had slept with the most girls, who had the 'sweetest' car. Now those idiots were going to suffer a mundane 9 to 5 life while he had the choice of living in the Digital World or coming home whenever he wanted and it would never be out of the ordinary.
Basile sighed, his mind was dragging him into dark places again. Tuning back in, he noted that Hana had was telling him about the digital world, Beaches, Forests and Huge Metropolis's huh? Roughly what he'd been hoping for. He'd wanted the strange, the alien. After all, if it was just like the Human World, why bother going in the first place? T'was at this moment, that Cinder jumped up on landed on him heavily, earning a grunt of annoyance. The two glaring at each other. Basile's reaction was to pick up the little Sun and shake her heavily, to which Cinder could only try her best not to become Dizzy and or Sick.
'Put me down! Sto----p Sha---king Me!' Cinder managed to grind out, despite the shaking, Basile sighed before actually stopping. The little Sunmon had tried and failed to prevent dizziness, Neither Basile nor Cinder were music aficionado's and thus Basile nodded politely and Cinder tried not to be sick on her Partner, because he would never ever let her live that down.
'If it's anything like the human world, theirs going to those who look for and start trouble isn't there?' Basile spoke in return to Ryoko's last comment, as far as he knew, if you had such a large population, inevitably some of them were going to be bad apples. Whether through circumstance or just their nature. Although, there was a nugget of truth in what Ryoko said. A lot of trouble you could encounter could be avoided by manners, regardless of species apparently.
Cinder was grumbling in his lap, not really appreciating the shaking or learning that basic manners can stop you getting your butt kicked. That was like, people 101. Everybody knew that if you talk to people like their nothing then they're going to attack you. Digimon were a fighting people after all. Something as simple as walking down to the shops could result in a fight depending on your type or family.

Digimon are tougher than normal children to be sure. Yet, shaking a kid either way probably isn't the best idea. She may act up but it could get worse if he acted out as well. He may be polite but he was probably as hot-headed as her. Or at least that is what Ryoko deduced.
"Indeed, there are troublemakers no matter where you go. Digimon are not above the same faults as humans. Some are aggressive, bias, or just put in positions where they do bad things for good reasons. In general, crime is handled between the victim and their attacker. While we are not overly aggressive when a wrong has been done many times it can turn into a fight to the death," Ryoko knew that for certain. He couldn't count how many times he had to fight for his life over the bias towards viruses.
"He often has to fight because he's a virus," Hana wrote down.
"In general virus types are aggressive or playful in a harmful way. It gives those like myself a bit of difficulty with bias. As I said I'm a scholar I don't look for trouble just stories to record. One's life is the greatest book of all so one has to fill it with experiences both good and bad," Ryoko clarified.
"Mostly good though," Hana wrote. "Personally I can't wait to read the first volume."
"You're the only one," Ryoko said once more embarrassed.
"What about you? What do you plan on doing once you get into the digital world," Hana wrote questioningly.

Now that caught Basile's attention, there was no 'police' type organisation dedicated to keeping the peace? that sounds very dangerous, especially considering the strength of the Criminal/Attacker. Troublemakers are everywhere apparently, even in Digital Worlds, Fights to the death... how barbaric. Surely it would only keep the chain going, because those killed in these fights would have friends who would take vengeance. It would only keep the fighting going, apparently the Digital World was sorely in need of some order, at least in Basile's opinion.
Cinder knew all this already, She knew that her people were fighters and that there was no 'government' like the humans had. It was to be expected, when you had digimon who could destroy cities with a small amount of effort then it became difficult to institute 'superiors' above them. After all, it would have to be either someone stronger than them or someone who had already earned their respect, both of which are in short supply. While her partner thought the Digimon way of dealing with crime was barbaric, Cinder found it blunt and straight forward, no waiting for someone else to adjudicate the situation, just taking your revenge immediately without restraint. It wasn't perfect by any means, but far above the convoluted mess that was the Human System.
Basile wasn't really surprised that Ryoko had to fight often, from what Cinder had explained to him, Virus types were often belligerent or Aggressive, Sometimes in good fun, sometimes not. Surprisingly, it seemed the little Dracmon was something of an Intellectual, Interesting to say the least, Basile was a small bit curious on how the Dracmon decided upon that path. It was sure to be a dangerous one as many stories are best told by those who lived them.
Cinder couldn't really care less about Ryoko having to fight, Digimon had to fight all the time, it was a completely natural thing for the species, it was a fish not wanting to swim, or a bird not wanting to fly, it was so opposite to their very nature. Though him wanting to write a book was interesting, many digimon and humans did so. Often biographies or depicting events they'd lived through, various battles or skirmishes that had been prolonged enough to find a happy-ish conclusion.
'I wouldn't mind reading over your book either, Ryoko. Going into a brand new world means that I have much more to learn, Your book could help new-comers to the Digital World quite a bit' Basile said, Reassuring the small Dracmon. Lord knows he wasn't lying, having such first hand experiences in a single book would be practically invaluable for new comers to the world, All the thoughts that had been plaguing Basile would have either been answered or exacerbated, but he would be so much More prepared for the digital world.
Cinder rolled her eyes again, as her tamer once again reassured the Virus, no-doubt sticking to old cliches from the movies 'have faith in who you are!' and 'Follow your dreams! Don't give up!' Ugh. Nauseating, and whats worse her tamer was actually interested in the Virus's book, how dare he be interested in a digimon that wasn't her! Although, with Hana's last question, Cinder responded for the pair.
'I plan on dragging this nerd all over the Digital World! that way he can fill his curiosity and he gets to see just how superior Digimon are to Humans! I kinda just wanna get stronger for the time being, I'll figure out dreams and stuff later' Basile, could only shrug and nod his head in agreement, its not like it was a bad plan for the duo.
Basile, sighed realising he and Cinder were late for a prior appointment, He gathered up Cinder and placed her gently back in his bag. Stood up, dusted himself off and walked away throwing a comment over his shoulder 'I'll see you later, Hanashiro, Ryoko'
