A Break From Breaking (open)

Agumaru clenches his "fists", raising them into a boxing stance. "I'm ready as well. On three, then fight, we begin. Count with me!" With each number, he nods his head as a visual to sync up their counting. "One! Two! Three! FIGHT!"
The tiny dino leaps into combat, throwing a couple left jabs and a quick right hook. While there was some power behind these, it was not the power of a Digimon attack. Instead, they were more for probing and prodding at Shoutmon's defenses, while acting as a feint in case he was too quick on the draw and used up any defensive or redirecting one-shot moves. After his basic combo, he leaps back and prepares to guard against an attack. Neither the cheerful childlike innocence nor the weepy vulnerable sadness from earlier could be seen. Instead, the fires of his soul burned within. ================= No attacks on Cooldown

After Agumaru had leapt over to him, Shoutmon used his microphone to briefly block the basic combat maneuvers that he had pulled. Shoutmon definitely noticed the ToyAgumon's sudden change in behavior, and so did Adrian.
"Okay, he means business..." Adrian mutters to himself.
"Bring it on," Shoutmon says, his cheerful persona now gone as well.
"They both turned scary..." Adrian muttered again.
"Rock and Roller!" Shoutmon took full advantage and leapt at Agumaru, swinging his microphone at him like a weapon.

And they're off! Shoutmon's quick defensive maneuvers with his microphone completely nullify Agumaru's strikes. Shoutmon retaliates by slamming down his microphone, attempting to deal a devastating blow to the little brick warrior. Agumaru was prepared, however. Right after his attacks were blocked, Agumaru manages to jump out of the way and raises his guard. The microphone clips his guard, barely affecting him. However, these are just their opening gambits, so neither being hurt makes sense. The fight has just begun!
While the microphone is still against his guard, Agumaru tries to knock it to the side. He then swiftly gathers strength, then delivers a full-weighted kick, trying to open up Shoutmon's guard. He uses the same kick to push himself backwards away from the Shoutmon. Once a little distance has been opened and Agumaru thinks that he has successfully lowered his opponent's guard, he fires a plastic missile at him. Adrian had to admit, the move that Agumaru had just pulled was executed very well. Right as Shoutmon slammed his microphone down, Agumaru had jumped out of the way! He then pushed his microphone to the side, and kicked Shoutmon while his guard was open! Then, Agumaru shot a "Pepper Breath" right at Shoutmon.
Or DID HE?
"DIGI-MODIFY!" Adrian yelled as he inserted the Digi-Memory stick into the D-Arc. "Bota Bubble Activate!"
Adrian had activated that modification just in time. Right as the bubble shield had formed around Shoutmon, the plastic flame missile hit it, causing the bubble to burst, and the attack nulled.
"Wow... that's what Digi-Modification can do," Shoutmon gasped, surprised. He then had a smirk on his face. "Let's see you try this! Fiery Fastball!" Shoutmon created a music note shaped fireball in his free hand and threw it at full power at the ToyAgumon.

Agumaru grins as his "Pepper Breath" strikes his target, probably severely damaging Shoutmon.
Or not.
Adrian's actions create a bubble around Shoutmon just in the nick of time, intercepting the attack. As the bubble was destroyed and his attack nullified, Agumaru has only one thing to say about the situation.
"Oh."
He had no time for any other words anyways, as Shoutmon was ready with his own fiery attack. While it was obvious what kind of attack the "Fiery Fastball" was, Agumaru was unsure whether it would explode. If it did, dodging it would be harder. If not and he over-dodges, that would leave him open to an attack.
So he declines to dodge at all.
Instead, he runs full-tilt at it, head down, using the top of his head both as a shield and a battering ram. The fireball hits Agumaru, who winces and growls in pain, but continues to charge at Shoutmon. While he may have been hurt physically, Agumaru's fighting spirit ignores the attack, his heart untouched by the enemy. ========================== Outgoing Attack: Improvised.

Adrian cracks up at Agumaru's response of "Oh."
"I'm sorry, but that's too funny," Adrian says as he attempts to stop laughing. Shoutmon wasn't laughing, however; Agumaru seemed to be unaffected by the explosion of his attack!
"Oh, come on," Shoutmon growls. He then sees Agumaru charging right at him... maybe he could use his speed against him?
For a while, Shoutmon let Agumaru charge up to him... then, when he was close enough, he dodged out of the way, causing Agumaru to hit against the wall unless he stopped in time.

The gap between Agumaru and Shoutmon quickly closes as the former attempts a bull rush. Wait... bull rush... After having just completed a mission known as Operation Matadormon against a digimon that likes to charge, Agumaru realizes that blindly charging might not be the best move. Therefore, towards the end of the charge where Agumaru would hit Shoutmon if he were to at all, he tightens his focus. If Shoutmon were to dodge out of the way, it would be right... about...NOW!
Agumaru jumps up and whips around, swiping in a wide radius to turn around. His claws, while plastic and not using an attack, are surprisingly hard and sharp. If it hits him, it's probably going to hurt a little. However, with those short arms, it is very likely that Shoutmon was out of range before the attack even was attempted. Upon landing, he screeches to a halt, slightly off balance but expecting an attack. ==========================

Heh heh, the perfect plan-
NOPE! Shoutmon was not expecting the sudden scratch attack from Agumaru, and he ended up losing his footing, and went tumbling across the arena.
"Ow..." Shoutmon groans as he gets up. "Good move there... definitely didn't see that one coming..."
Adrian looks down at his Digivice. "No, I'm not gonna use it yet... maybe later..." He then notices something among his other Digi-Memories. "What the...? I didn't buy this one... no way..."
Shoutmon was now staring Agumaru down immensely, waiting for an attack from the ToyAgumon.

It seems Agumaru's attack worked even better than even Agumaru himself was going for! Well, if it works, it works! He regains his footing and glares at Shoutmon with anticipation. "Get up," he shouts to the master of shouting, "I know you're tough enough that that was nothing!" For a moment it seemed there was going to be a stare-off. Agumaru appeared to be waiting for Shoutmon who is waiting for Agumaru; Adrian is preparing...something. What could it be? Could Agumaru counter it, or come up for a strategy against it, if he doesn't even know what it is?
Eventually though, Agumaru's weakness becomes apparent. His drive and determination were strong, but his patience and planning...not so much. His energy and eagerness turn against him. Waiting was too much for him as he charges a second Toy Flame Pepper Breath. "Block THIS! PYAAAAH!" The plastic, flame-shaped missile launches from the empty space in his mouth.

"Ugh... shouting really isn't your thing," Shoutmon nonchalantly says as he gets back up onto his feet. For a while, it really was just a staring contest.
This is really- Adrian began to think.
-boring, Shoutmon seemed to finish that thought for Adrian. Then, all of a sudden, Agumaru basically shouts what he wants Shoutmon to do and blasts another Toy Flame attack at him. He knew that Bota Bubble wasn't going to save him this time, so Shoutmon just barely dodges, although his foot is scaved by the attack.
"OUCH!" Shoutmon yells.
"This one seems disturbing..." Adrian says as he looks at a Digi-Memory. "But let's try it anyways..." He inserts the USB into the Digivice. "Digi-Modify! Devimon activate!"
Suddenly, Shoutmon's free arm is covered in a dark and evil energy. With a grin on his face, he jumps over to Agumaru and slashes him with that hand.

Even though Agumaru either taunts or suggests blocking the attack, Shoutmon instead dodges it, getting struck slightly. It was a small victory, but one in which Agumaru quietly relishes. The smallest attacks can lead to changes in momentum, after all. However, that good feeling quickly vanishes as he feels the dark energy in the arena.
"Wha-" he begins, before noticing where the power was coming from - Shoutmon's modification. Agumaru attempts to dodge out of the way, but misjudges the reach of the attack, getting hit by the tip of it and sent flying. Upon hitting the ground, he skids and tumbles, getting knocked around until he barely manages to stand out of the tumbling. "Nice hit," he calls out. "Very nice hit! But you won't get lucky twice!" He charges at Shoutmon as if he was going to tackle or strike him. However, tiny stars start to form around him... ============ Outgoing attacks: Fancy Star -
Surrounds himself in tiny stars made out of strange energy that explode outward upon impact with a digimon, attempting to counter the next physical attack made against him until they fade at the start of his next turn.

Shoutmon was almost glad when the modification ended. Devimon was an evil Digimon, and having that power inside of him made him feel horrible. However, he did manage to get a good strike at Agumaru, and even sent him flying quite a ways away.
"Watch me!" Shoutmon brags. He sees the tiny particles floating around Agumaru, and he thinks that might be one of his attacks. Just to make sure, he throws his microphone at Agumaru, causing the Fancy Star attack to go off. With Agumaru no longer shielded by the attack, he takes the opportunity to run up and punch-
"GAAAH!" His crappy footing was the death of him, so instead of punching Agumaru like a badass, he trips on his own feet and tumbles like an absolute idiot.
Adrian falls over anime-style after that.

The Fancy Star counter at least protected Agumaru from getting bonked by a flying microphone. That... was a good thing, though not ideal. That also leaves Shoutmon without a weapon, and more importantly, without something to block Agumaru's attacks with. Seeking an advantage, he moves in to attack the guardless Shoutmon. He prepares a Million Punch Mach Jab attack, and notices Shoutmon doing something similar. It would be down to who was faster, who was more skilled at getting their punch in, who-
-was the one to fall down comically. That "advantage" goes to Shoutmon. At least that prevents Agumaru from using his attack, instead possibly trampling over the prone Digimon by accident. Getting stepped on by Lego? What is this, Soviet Russia? At least if Shoutmon does get stepped on, it isn't for long, as Agumaru continues tottering forwards. "Whwhwhoah, gotta regain balance before I'm left open."
Outgoing Attack: Improvised trample.

"Oh boy, that wasn't a fruitful endeavor..." Shoutmon says, his eyes still spinning round and round like swirls. However, he shakes his head to get out of it and immediately gets up. He holds up his mic-
WAIT, WHERE'S HIS MICROPHONE!?
Oh, it's over there. Shoutmon simply runs over to grab it, then turns around immediately and prepares another attack for the still prone ToyAgumon.
"Rock and Roller!!!"
Shoutmon charged at the Digimon and smacks him with his microphone.

Agumaru is down but not out. No wait, he's not down either, but has hit the breaks and stopped at an impossible angle. Aaaand now he's down, after being struck by Shoutmon's microphone attack. He groans from receiving one massive headache, but now he's finally actually down but not out, as he is still ready to keep fighting. "I'm... ow...I'm not done yet! Check this out!"
He rolls around on the ground, circling Shoutmon. How he rolls so smoothly or quickly for someone made out of sharp shapes is a spooky mystery for another day. Eventually he slows down just slightly, using the momentum of his roll to unleash a lying-down right hook while rising. He then follows it up with a backhanded left, then a flurry of spinning-armed Million Punches from his right arm. "Mach Jab," Agumaru shouts, inaccurately describing his attack for the millionth time. ======= Outgoing attack: Million Punch - windmills his arms around, claiming to be using "Mach Jab" Attacks on Cooldown: Fancy Star: 2 turns remaining?
