Looked like Coolmon definitely had his back. She was just so confident... and she called him her best pal. "Thanks, Coolmon," he said quietly to her. For sticking up for him and all. And for calling him her best pal. In both worlds!
Rinji blushed, just a little.
He was also kind of glad that August wasn't as worked up as his twin. Other than sorry, what else could he say? Or do, for that matter?
Right. About not paying for the ticket. That was really the thing that had made him feel bad about it earlier. "About the ticket... I can post them the money for it later," he offered. It was what he would've done anyway. Although they'd probably be a few heads turning at the office for such a strange gesture.
"Uh, Rinji," he said in response to Rebecca. Hadn't Coolmon said his name earlier? Oh well, these kind of things happened in conversations. Not even he always heard everything that people said. Or always remembered people's names.
"So August is Agumon? And Gabe is Gabumon?" He could see the theme that Rebecca had been going for. Strangely, what annoyed him was the fact that the amount of syllables were different. There again, Augustus and Gabriel would've matched...
Suddenly, the heavy march of running footsteps thundered through the building, echoing down the walls. Half a dozen private security men were racing down, right towards them.
The teenagers that'd been milling off to the side startled. "Oh, crud! Guys, split up!" One of them commanded the others as they raced off into the 'staff only' corridors. The security men were still charging straight towards Rebecca, Coolmon, Gabe, August, and Rinji.
"You kids are under arrest! Those private sectors were off limits!" A guard yelled. "Stop!"
Rinji looked to the others in panic. Initially he'd thought someone else had seen him, but this seemed unrelated. Yet if they didn't run, they would be in BIG trouble. "Should we follow them?" He whispered quickly, ready to bolt to where the teens had gone. Who knew what they were up to? Or what they'd be blamed for?
