A nice rest and a friendly spar(NPC/Open)

It was a nice, sunny day at the Network Plains. There were birds chirping and the flowers were swaying a bit by a light breeze. With kind of the peace here, it was the perfect place for some human and digimon to rest and relax. It was also the perfect place to train one’s skills without interruption. At least that was what Ashtar thought when he came here. He was doing his daily routine of doing a one-handed hand stands, pushing up on his own weight. The young Armadillomon does his best to keep up his training, but in strength and balance. He had been conditioning his body to nimble and agile, but to help him get stronger in fights and to do his acrobatic stunts.
It only had been about a week since he left for his journey to explore the digital world and get stronger. He had been living with his Ankylomon mother, Valerie for all that time. He loves her a lot, but she can be bit overprotective of him. It didn’t help that he was in a rolling accident a long time ago, hitting a boulder at high speed and cause him to have a large scar on the top of his head. The accident never bothered him, but troubled his mother a lot. It took a lot of doing to convince her to let him go on his own. She reluctantly agreed and let him go, on the condition that he would visit her from time to time.
Earlier, he had past the Terminus City walls, looking over and seeing the many people and digimon entering the city. It must have been nice to have someone to travel and train with. He had been traveling alone all this time, and he didn’t run into any other digimon. He had been training himself as well, though he doesn’t feel like he was getting any better. He really would like to find someone to talk to and maybe spar with. He wanted to know how strong he had gotten. Plus, it sounds like it would be fun.

Trudging softly forward, with his body low to the ground, the Guilmon, Gumanzi, eased forward between the blades of grass. Each soft strand of grass caressed his skin quietly. In the shadows of the vegetation it was hard to see the strange Guilmon’s colors were almost completely inverted. The red paint that was supposed to cover his outer body was black, while his markings were crimson. The tips of his ears and tail were topped with red. The same scarlet color adorned the edges of his eyes, and a strange symbol was stamped to his muzzle. Also, unlike regular Guilmon or even Dark Guilmon, the front of his neck and lower jaw was bone white rather than red or black. His ears were much larger than most Guilmon and his body was leaner. The only real similarity was that he still possessed the same white underbelly. Gumanzi was an X-Antibody Guilmon, resistant to the destructive X program. Tucked carefully between the alien Guilmon’s maws, a stone peeked out from between his lips that appeared to be much in the shape of a star. His ears pricked as the sound of grass being crushed captured his attention. Veins solidified to stone as he stood perfectly still, not even daring to breath. Golden orbs cracked by his slender black pupil carefully swiveled to the source of the noise. Gumanzi’s body sank into the grass as he made his surveillance of the area. In the distance he witnessed an Armadillomon performing a one-handed hand stand. Gumanzi cocked his head to the left at the strange sighting. The digimon looked rather silly to him. He couldn’t process why any creature would do such a thing. After cocking his head to the left he slowly let it flop over to the right, scrutinizing the creature and the situation. He couldn’t possibly be training, not like that. At least, that’s what Gumanzi thought. What good is a one-handed hand stand in battle? His eyes narrowed, and what good is a one-handed hand stand when it leaves you completely defenseless? Recognizing his opportunity the Guilmon slowly wrapped his tail around to remove the stone from between his lips and then protectively the grasp little stone star in the clutches of his tail. After, he raised his body from the ground. “Fireball”, a dark snarling voice called out as a ball of flame the size of a beach ball barreled out of his jaws, aiming straight for the digimon’s exposed belly. He snarled ferociously as he charged at his victim. “Fireball”, another ball of energy protruded from his maws which was slammed down into his paws to create, “Firemitt”. He charged at his prey, full force, about ready to empower his claws even more by combining Firemitt with Rockbreaker. Then he was going to thrust his claws down on the poor digimon’s skull while he was still trying to grasp his bearings. The battle will be over quickly, just as he liked it. Then he could continue on his journey. That’s what he thought anyways. Little did he know the kind of digimon he was facing off with.

This had been such a boring day for Ashtar so far. He had been doing his daily routine of doing 100 one-handstand push-ups. They do help strenghen his arm muscles a lot and made him more limber. Plus, he could impress some humans with his acrobatic tricks. After he was done doing 100 push-ups with his right hand, he hopped a bit and started doing one handed push-ups with his left hand. Once again, the young Armadillomon was disappointed that nothing much happened so far. All that was there was the green grass being blown by the gentle breeze. Everything was nice, peaceful, and quiet.
Suddenly, Ashtar's ear twitched a bit. It seems like everything wasn't so quiet. He thought he heard something not far from here, like something rustling in the grass. He looked around, but he didn't see anything. Maybe he was just hearing things. Still, he couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching him from somewhere. He continued with his push-ups, though that wouldn't last for very long.
"Fireball!"
Ashtar heard a loud voice coming directly behind him. He turned and from the corner of his eye, he could see a flaming fireball heading directly towards him. Instinctively, he push down his arm and lifted himself off the ground as hard as he could. This pushed him into the air a couple of feet and he did a backflip, landing back on all fours while nearly dodging the fireball. Good thing those acrobatics training came in handy. But who shot that fireball at him? His question was soon answered as he saw a figure charging towards him. He looked like a Guilmon, but it looked different. It was black, instead of red, with red stripes around his body. His claws were on fire as he extended them towards Ashtar. The creature was coming in so fast, he didn't have time to duck into his shell. Instead he brought his arms up above his head and tried to block the hit. When it connected, it caused the Armadillomon to roll backwards a few feet. Luckily, his arm was armored too, so the attack didn't burn them. Still, that attack did hurt his arm alot.
"Hey! What was that for?!" Ashtar yelled over at the Guilmon with a growl as he got back on his feet.
He quickly thought it over and can see what this Guilmon wanted. The fact that he attack him unprovoked must mean that he wanted to battle him. Just by looking at him, he might be an evil digimon seeking to cause trouble. This was exactly what Ashtar had been waiting for. He can get a chance to take down a digimon. This Guilmon seems like he's strong, which made this battle even more fun. He smirked back at his opponent, getting into battle stance.
"Well, if it's a fight you want, then you got one." Ashtar said to him confidently.
The Armadillomon curled up into a ball and started to spin really fast. This should hopefully protect him from any more attacks. That wasn't all. Once he sped fast enough, he quickly started to charge straight into the Guilmon, determined to ram into him hard.

Narrowly dodging his attack the opponent back flipped out of his one paw hand-stand to land solidly on all fours. He was much more nimble than his stocky build let on. Guilmon did not hesitate. “Rockbreaker”, the monster barked. His claws glowed beneath the flames and were brought down, aiming for the poor creatures scar on his scalp. Instead of colliding with his skull it was blocked by the thick arms of the digimon. The sheer power of his combination of attacks blew the armored creature back. The recoil of his attack made him pause to steady himself, but he held firm.
Focused on rushing his opponent into confusion, he tried to charge him again. Noticing that the fire on his claws didn’t burn the Armadillomon’s thick hide, he thought better than to waste the energy or time to conjure another Fireball. Gumanzi answered the digimon’s commentary with a series of loud clicks of his teeth snapping together, similar to what a dog may do. His attention sharpened as he sprinted at him. “R-r-rockbreaker”, the monster snarled as his claws glowed.
His confidence wavered as the Armadillomon sucked his body into a tight impenetrable ball. Faster and more rapidly the ball spun into a blur of sandy color. Guilmon stumbled, intimidated by the ferocity of the Amrmadillomon’s attack, and how even though his attack was supposed to be a surprise…. the creature didn’t even bat an eye at the challenge. He was ready, and that scared the alien Guilmon. His “prey” shot at him as a bullet exploding out of the barrel of a cannon full of explosives. Gumanzi slowed, unsteady, and very unsure of the situation.
He recaptured his focus on the battle just in time to try and dodge. Rather than make the intelligent move of dodging left or right, he attempted to jump over the creature. In doing so he tripped, hurting his ankle and scraping his tender underbelly on the rough sandpaper shell of Armadillomon. He smashed his claws into the back side of Armadillomon as Gumanzi tumbled off of him to roll in the grass.
Scrambling back up to his feet, tearing up the top layer of dirt with his clumsy claws, he located the digimon. The element of surprise and shock was completely eradicated. The only way Gumanzi knew how to fight was to surprise and rush his opponent in their confusion. He quickly needed to figure out a different way to attack. He knew the shell of the digimon might be too thick to break apart. The only spot he could hit was his skull, if it was exposed. He'd have to draw it out.
The Armadillomon was a talker; he could use that. But, Gumanzi really wasn't. Still, it was the only thing he knew to manipulate the digimon. Growling out of his throat, "Come out of your shell. Fight fair." His eyes shifted to survey the area. All he had for cover was the grass, and he was too intimidated to rush the digimon any more. Gumanzi kept light on his feet as he moved around, unable to sit still. "Coward."

Ashtar rolled forward with all of his might at the Guilmon, hoping that he was fast enough to collide with him, quickly putting an end of this. As he kept spinning forward, he was expecting to hit something hard…but it never happened. Though, he felt something scraped the top of his shell. He could conclude that the Guilmon jumped over her, but not exactly clearing it. This gave the Armadillomon a little satisfaction. He would just have to make sure that he didn’t miss next time.
The Armadillomon kept rolling a few feet before he started to slow down. He came to a complete stopped and uncurled himself. He quickly turned around to face his opponent, preparing for whatever possible counterattack the Guilmon would do next. It seems like he was taunting him and calling him a coward. This made him growl a bit. No one calls him a coward and gets away from with it. He was going to make sure to win this fight. Ashtar quickly stood on both his front paws, throwing himself again into the air. Because his front arms were still in pain from blocking that strong attack of the Guilmon, he couldn’t push up as high as he wanted to. He quickly curled into a ball and spun around in mid-air, charging directly at the Guilmon. Once he was close enough, he uncurled himself right in front of him.
“Claw Chopping!” He charged forward and with his own claws extended to the Guilmon’s face and using the momentum from lifting into the air to charge forward to him. Though, his claws wouldn’t as powerful as his opponent, he can quickly swing his claws very fast, making it difficult to dodge unless he was agile, which he doubt that he was.

The sandstorm blur slowed to a complete stop. After uncurling himself he turned to face the Guilmon with eyes the like of which Gumanzi has never been able to possess. After badgering him to continue the fight the Armadillomon growled, but not as darkly as Gumanzi or the majority of digimon Gumanzi has faced. Standing on both his front paws the digimon flung himself into the air. Once again in a ball he swirled in the colors of a desert storm and propelled himself at Gumanzi. There was nowhere for Gumi to run. He stepped back and held his arms up, cowering. In front of him Armadillomon unfurled, “Claw Chopping”. A rapid succession of claws reached for him, biting into the back of his arms and paws.
Armadillomon could have pulverized Gumanzi with that attack, but he didn't. Instead, he chose a much weaker attack and rushed him. He couldn't understand. Flailing to dodge, doing so poorly, and being battered by his claws, the Guilmon’s eyes rounded into small ovals. Most of his opponents would have taken the opportunity to smash him into the ground, so why not him?
Perhaps, his foe was taking the opportunity to simply insult him. Convinced of his theory, the monster’s eyes were injected with animosity and whittled down into slits. “You goin' to beat me?” He let the claws of the Armadillomon’s dig into his flesh, little by little. It fueled him. “Insult me”, the Guilmon's speech was rather poor and broken up, but thickly layered with dark undertones. Parting his battered arms the Guilmon grinned, “Fireball”. A whirl of energy produced in front of Gumanzi’s jaws, and at such close range there wasn't too much time to run. Gumanzi was going to try and bash him directly in the face with the attack. In doing so he could potentially burn his own face, but it didn't matter if he could win. Behind the Guilmon his tail whipped back and forth. The star wrapped in his tail began to slip, distracted too much by the battle to be worried about the precious star he held in his grasp.

As the ambition Armadillomon kept up his fast scratches, hitting the Guilmon’s arms with every swipe. Adrenaline was rushing through Ashtar’s vain. He never felt like this before. He felt like he was getting the upper hand in this battle, scratching deeper into his opponent's arms. The danger and the thrill of this fight was exciting him. He was have the most fun that he ever had. He didn’t want this to end, especially since he was fighting such a tough enemy.
Ashtar continued his claw chopping attacking, know that eventually the Guilmon would choose to give up and name him the victor. Little did he know, his foe had another idea in mind. Under the barrage of the sharp, claw strikes, the Guilmon seemed to be muttering something before he opened his mouth. A large ball of energy was growing out of his mouth, getting larger and larger. When Ashtar noticed it, he stopped scratching and looked very surprised. Before he could anything, the shot was fired. It hit its mark directly at the Armadillomon’s face, throwing him backward into the air, a few feet away from the Guilmon and landing on his back hard.
He leaned back up a bit, holding on to his face with his two front paws, yelling out in pain. There were severe burns all over his face, each causing Ashtar searing pain. He gritted his teeth, moving his left hand off his face a bit and glared over at the direction of the Guilmon.
“Grr...So much for fighting fair…Shooting a fire ball like that…” Ashtar spoke over to a fuzzy black blob.
The pain was so intense, his vision was getting blurry. He couldn’t even think straight. He was doing all he could to recover and get back up, but was finding it hard to do so. He was quite vulnerable right now, but at least there was one possible bright side. The blast from the Guilmon was so large he could have burned his face as well. Hopefully the same thing was happening to him too and Ashtar can have a chance to fight back when his vision comes too.

Once again, Yonnie was on the move. A lone traveler without a destination, hoping to find to found someone that would accept him. He was doing a lot of thinking after what had happened yesterday. He had been question why he should keep that horrible virus from overtaking him and making him do destructive things to everything around him. Would the answer be finding a friend like he had always wanted? He wasn’t sure. He had no idea how to even make a friend. He had been cause so much misery to others. Is something like that even possible for him?
The BlackGabumon barely noticed, but he found himself on the Network Plains. That was think about being a wandering traveler. He would end up in places he have has no recollection of going, getting lost in the process. He was just having so much in his mind. As he was walking, he was using his small pocket knife to carve a piece of wood into a small figurine. It was sort of a hobby of his. It also help him calm his nerves, especially when those dark thoughts kept emerging from his mind. He was just glad that he was in a more open, sunny place than where he was last night. As he recall, this place was were Terminus City was. Yonnie wasn’t much of fan going to a crowded city. His appearance doesn’t help much either. Even though he was more used to forging in the wilderness, it wouldn’t be so bad to get some food and supplies there. He could even try to find a friend there.
All of the sudden, Yonnie could hear sounds coming his directions. Sounds similar to a battle. It would probably wise for the Gabumon to turn and find another path. But something was stirring inside him, telling him to get involved. He tried to shake that thought away, but his instincts were too strong. He went over to direction of the sounds, but he kept himself low to the ground, into the tall grass so that he wouldn’t be seen. From the distance he could see an Armadillomon and Black Guilmon. Just as he thought, they were indeed fighting each other. His attention was turned to the Guilmon. He wasn’t sure why, but he thought he might have some connection to him. It just might be in his head. For now, all that Yonnie will do is watch, resisting the urge to get into battle.

A whirlwind of dense energy birthed and expanded in front of his jaws. Then the force ignited as a bomb. The Armadillomon was blown back, and so was Gumanzi. The dark digimon flopped on his back, hard. The stone star slipped out of his grasp and tumbled in the grass. Disorientated the Guilmon scrambled back up to his feet and whipped his head side to side, looking for his opponent. The impact from his attack wounded his muzzle and made his eyes squint in anguish. His tail lashed every which way as he tried to regain his bearings. He snarled, clicking his teeth together as a mongrel would do. After stamping around he scanned the surrounding area, unaware of the silent observer in the grass.
"Fight me!" His pupils were minuscule slivers of onyx carved into bleak gold. The slits slithered back and forth wildly as he tried to see through his squinting eyes. "Fireball", another mass of fire exploded from his lips aimed at no particular direction. "Rock Breaker!" His claws illuminated with lurid light. Then he flailed his arms about him.
Soon his movements slowed, and he stopped. The muscle inside his chest, his heart, pounded powerfully and his ears sluggishly pricked. He stood perfectly still. Something was amiss. His lips closed and the tip of his tail constricted nothing but air. His eyes grew wide, round, and blank. His pupils dilated.
Instantly his muzzle turned down to the ground scanning the area around his feet. Then he pulled his head up to get a wider scope of the area. His bottom jaw loosely pulled open as devastation swarmed his body. A small sound chimed out of his throat, like a child's voice cracking before it cried. Lost in his world of despair the digimon began searching the grass, calling out in short barks like a seal. Where is it? Where did it go? Unaware of the creatures around him, he barreled through the grass as a hound dog after its master's lost bird. His round eyes welled up as he scoured. He muttered to himself inaudibly between his barks. The only things that could be made out were the words "Star" and "Lost". His tail tucked between his legs as he searched, and his ears sunk down, unable to find the stone star.

Slowly, but surely, Ashtar’s vision was slowly coming back to him. The pain from the burns on his face was dulling slightly, but they still sting. He wasn’t sure what was wrong with his attacker, firing a fireball at that distance and possibly injuring himself in the process. He must have wanted to win pretty badly, but Ashtar didn’t think he would be that desperate. Unaware to him, the Guilmon seemed to have gone into an intense rage and shot another fireball indiscriminately into the air, missing its mark completely. It was clear that this digimon was losing his cool and making mistake. Ashtar had to take advantage of this while he had the chance.
Eventually, Ashar made it back on his four feet, growling a bit over at his opponent.. He grunted in pain a bit when his front paw touched ground, reminding him of his own injuries during this fight. His face had painful burn marks and his arms still hurt from defending the Guilmon’s initial assault. He hasn’t felt this much pain since the rolling accident that gave him the scar on his head. At this point, it would be much harder to dodge any more attack without him feeling some kind of pain. Maybe if he could attack while his opponent is blind with rage, he could put an end to this fight.
Then the Guilmon was acting even odder. He suddenly stopped his rampage, having a completely look of him. Ashtar wasn’t sure how to describe it, but seems like he lost the most important thing in the world and was scared that he would never find it again. Then he looked around and put his nose down, searching the tall, dense grass for something and ignoring the Armadillomon.
“Hey! What are you up to now, you cheater?” Ashtar yelled over to him, wondering if this was some kind of trick so that he would lower his guard.
It still seems like the dino digimon was still ignoring him. Thinking about it, Ashtar did see fear and concern that he never seen from this digimon since the fight started. Maybe he really did lose something very important to him. Beside, he would never attack an opponent in this state. He rather would have his enemy give him their undivided attention. Ashtar stared carefully at the Guilmon, slowly walking over to him.
“…Hey, is something the matter?” Ashtar asked with a slight share of concern. He did keep his guard up just in case the Guilmon was going to try something funny.

The battle between the Armadillomon and the Black Guilmon seem to be escalating to a dangerous level. The Guilmon fired a large fireball from his mouth when they were in close quarters, knocking them both back. After watching them for a bit, they seem to be very adept at fighting and defending themselves. As Yonnie was watching, his blood was boiling and raging. He wanted to get in there and stomp the both of them to ground, or at least that’s what the virus is manipulating his mind to think. Yonnie was trying to shelf away these thoughts. He knew that getting into this fight would activate the virus. He didn’t want to think about what would happen after that. Maybe it was best to leave and find another way into the city.
As he turned and stepped away, the BlackGabumon felt something sharp under his foot. He growled in pain a bit, moving his foot away from the sharp object. He looked down and noticed that he stepped on a flat rock that’s shaped like a star. Where did this unusual rock come from? Yonnie picked up the rock and examine it closely. Perhaps someone had shaped this rock into a star. Whoever did this must be one gifted sculptor. It would go well with the wooden carvings that Yonnie has made during his trails. So Yonnie pulled the stone into the underside of his fur coat along with his carvings. He would then turn and move away from battle, hoping that the other two digimon hasn’t noticed his presense.

Wearing down as a robot rapidly burning up its reserve fuel, the Guilmon shut down. His tail was tattooed to his underbelly and his body sank in the grass, still as a boulder. Contrary to his body, his eyes were wide dull suns whirling inside his eye sockets. His ears were pressed tightly to the sides of his skull as if trying to hug his overworked brain hidden beneath flesh and bone.
“…Hey, is something the matter?” Guilmon heard the sound and wanted to lash out, relinquishing all his pent up emotion on the innocent creature. He had no strength though, nor the will. Petrified, rooted to the spot as an archaic dead tree, he mumbled to himself. A small pitiful whimper slipped out of his oily lips, “Star.” His eyes filled with bitter salty liquid, “I lost Star.” The pace of his eyes slowed to stare heavily down at his claws.
His ears softly perked as an idea blossomed in his aching skull, hurting from the onslaught of emotion and stress of losing his precious stone. His muzzle turned to the Armadillomon and the harshness of his eyes ebbed away. “Star’s small, like this.” He gestured how big the star was as a space between his left and right claws. “And….”, he looked down at the earth, picking up a stone, “this color.” The tip of his tail wriggled hopefully against his belly. The animosity that once radiated from the creature evaporated and in the monster’s place was a small, helpless child. He looked down nervously, unsure. Then with a small burst of energy he glanced back up at the creature, “H-have you seen Star?” Again he flicked his gaze down at the ground as if his confidence could be found there. Then he looked back up at the digimon. “C-can you help me find Star?” It was as if he completely forgot that Armadillomon was his opponent. He didn’t really, but he was lost without his treasure. If he didn’t have his soulless companion by his side; it’d be like having no purpose. Noticeably he carefully revered the stone star, never titling it as “it”, only Star.

When Ashtar came closer to his opponent, he was acting even odder. He wasn’t the same digimon that came shooting and shouting at him, wanting to pound the Armadillomon into submission. He was now like a lost little puppy. When he looked into the Armadillomon’s eyes, he looked like he was crying. Ashtar lost his defensive stance and looked very confused, tilting his head a bit to on side.
He wasn’t sure what to make of this. His brain was telling him that this might still be a trick, but looked even more into his eyes. Seeing him shut down like this and demoralized, there was no way he could be faking it. It also wasn’t in his nature to ignore someone who needs help. He took the time to listen to the Guilmon. It seems like he lost a little star…or a maybe it was a rock shaped like a star, and he needed Ashtar’s help to look for it. It took a little bit for the Armadillo digimon to answer. Soon, he gave the Guilmon a very wide smile, putting a paw on his shoulder.
“Don’t worry. I’ll find your star for ya.” He said innocently to the vulnerable Guilmon, trying to reassure him. “Maybe afterwards, we can finish our battle. You’re really a tough guy and it was really fun fighting you. Who knows? Maybe we can even be friends and rivals. Hehe.” He gave the Guilmon a playful chuckle.
The Armadillomon went around the Guilmon, moving the grass with his paws to look for something that looks something like a star. It helped a bit that the Guilmon described what it looked like. He had been looking for several minutes, moving all over the field they were battling in, but he had no luck. How far could a star rock fall anyway?
Then from the corner of his eyes, Ashtar thought he saw someone walking away. He turned and saw what looks like a BlackGabumon. He never noticed that guy before. He must have just arrived here. He wondered what he was doing in a place like this in the first place. Then Ashtar smiled when he had an idea. He ran over to the Gabumon, calling out to get his attention.
“Hey. I was just wondering if you have seen a star around here. Or a rock that shaped like a star.” He asked him, hoping that he might have noticed something.

Yonnie kept walking forward, most likely taking the long way to get to the city. He couldn’t help but sigh slightly and feeling a little nervous. He kept fighting with himself internally whether he should actually go into the city to get supplies. He could just go forging out in the wilderness alone like he usually does. But then, the city might give him a chance to make some new friends. He wasn’t sure if he could do it, but he wanted to try. He wanted to have people like him. He took out the strange star stone rock he found on the ground and stared at it. It seem to have given him some comfort, just like the way that he would stare at the moon during the night. It was giving him the courage he needed to step forward and go into the city.
Suddenly, Yonnie thought he heard someone calling out to him. He turned around and saw the smiling face of the Armadillomon he saw battling the Guilmon. He was quite surpised that this young digimon would approach him such a casual manner. And after fighting a frightful foe as well. It look like the Armadillomon face was slightly burned, but was still smiling happily. The BlackGabumon couldn’t really understand all of this.
The Armadillomon was asking if he had seen a star. This really confused Yonnie before he noticed that he could possibly be talking about the star rock that he was holding in his hand. Could this beautifully crafted stone belong to him? He really didn’t want to part of this star, but he suppose he could always carve one out of wood. So Yonnie showed the star shaped rock to the Armadillomon.
“Yes…I actually have it. I found it on the ground. It’s a very nicely sculpted stone.” Yonnie said feeling admired by it. “You can take it back if you want.” The moment that Yonnie said that and looking at the yellow digimon’s smiling face, he was feeling a sensation inside of him that he never felt before. It felt quite nice.

He felt the paw upon the flesh of his shoulder and his skin quivered beneath the contact. Wide eyed he whipped his muzzle around ready to attack the intruder. His lips pulled back to reveal his sharp canines. He came to find that it was only Armadillomon and his muscles slowly relaxed again as the digimon offered to help find Star. His lips flopped back down over his teeth. He whimpered silently as the Armadillomon offered to help find Star.
He watched as the digimon navigated around him and started sifting his way through the grass. The creature searched the battle area but found no trace of Star. The Guilmon’s head lowered in defeat and his tail stopped wagging beneath his stomach.
Then he noticed the armadillo waddle over to a new area. Curious, he slumped through the grass to follow. The digimon called out to another creature and Gumanzi poked his head up over the grass. Another digimon was in the area. Was it there when they were battling? Armadillomon scurried after the stranger and Guilmon crawled through the grass after him. The two began conversing and Gumanzi inched closer.
Spotted in the creature’s hand was Star. Gumanzi’s eyes narrowed with hostility. An adder red tongue struck out of his maws and whipped into the air. His jaws tore open and he leaped out of the cover of the blades of grass. He towered over the two and snarled ferociously at them. “Star”, he roared. Then coming to his senses he soon realized that they could easily break Star apart. His eyes rounded and his body lowered to the ground. His tail tucked beneath him again and his ears were painted to his skull. He looked up at them. “Don’t hurt Star.” He cried softly, “Please.”
