Inspired by this song:
An eerie silence rules over the town. It was not pleasant for any in the area, as it was rare to be by such a beach town with the sun beating down on it, only to not hear a single word of hustle or bustle form digimon outside. The town was close to the net ocean, and usually a pretty rowdy place, but Today it was dead silent. Had it been that no one was outside and you couldn’t see any digimon in the buildings, it would’ve been the logical assumption that they ran away. But no, they were there. They were out on the streets, sitting, standing, leaning on walls, existing. But not talking. Not thinking. Not hurrying. Pacified to a point beyond all rhyme, reason and belief, it just added to the unnerving nature of the situation.
Knightmon and Sinduramon were feeling the unnerving nature, at the very least. The sun shone on their armor, creating soft glares in the town, but no digi, nothing responded. They walked, thinking it was simply wrong. They were prepared for the upcoming fight, having cards equipped to help them resist the mental addling effects of Sulphan. The world ender they have been fighting the past four lives the villain had had. They had hoped to prepare more, to create a final measure to finally defeat their foe before spending their resources to stop it again. But no such luck, they digivolved through this life as fast as possible, quickly reaching their mega stage.
“This is the influence of a mega, isn’t it…?” Knightmon said with a feeling of fear in his voice, walking past the absolutely pacified and nigh unmoving digimon, naught but the sound of their steps throughout the entire town.At the sound of sand shifting aside under their armored boots, kokaterimon nodded. “Sulphan has gotten far in this life, and fast. We can’t afford to let her live much longer.”
Elsewhere, Sulphan smiled, the MarineAngemon casually sitting atop the head of a MetalTyrannomon. The ferocious beast had been pacified entirely by the small, smug, pink fellow sitting ontop of it. From the smug smile she had, one would easily think she was enjoying her power, how dangerous she was. But no, she was not enjoying her sway over these many lowly digimon she had surrounded herself with. If there was anything she was enjoying, it was the slowly rising tide. MetalTyrannomon stood idly and helplessly by the beach. The water rose more than it normally would.
Water already ‘graced’ the streets of the small village, the raising levels causing a thin layer of water to straddle along the feet and behinds of the inactive digimon. “The water… The water, Of course! We’re running out of time, Knightmon!” The bird digimon, having found reason to rush, suddenly started running, it’s feet raising high and splashing against the wet water as it continued. Knightmon grunted and started taking off in sprint himself. His armor buckled and clinked as he put his hand to the grip of his sword. He knew well combat would be soon.
For Sulphan to know of their presence was but a small effort, and a small bother to her. They were but two of the knights. Had they underestimated her once again? No, this time she was sure she hadn’t underestimated them. She was sure how to handle them, how to approach them. They wouldn’t best her this time. When the armored bird and the Knight closed in on the shore, running by continually more impressive pacified digimon, they felt the same foreboding, world-shaking sensation as Sinduramon had known from previous encounters. “Sulphan! You have not succeeded last life, and you will not this one!”
Sulphan couldn’t help it. Seeing the two so ready to fight her, she felt an energy well up in her. An eerie silence was their first response, before Sulphan’s hum pierced the silence. In perfect harmony, a Palmon sitting passively on the beach joined her, and then a devimon and a pixiemon.
“Under the water…
Home to our darkness.
They will arise.
AaaAaaa-iiaaaaaa”
Sulphan raised her beautiful MarineAngemon voice, and lights sparkled over the ocean, the green shine contrasting the bright white light of the very sun itself, her pure tone continuing as the rest sung like a mind-addled choir, unable to not join the rest in their song. Every voice in perfect Harmony, Sulphan continued.
The very waves themselves seemed to join on the musical but Sinduramon wasn’t going to have any of it. Its two claws spread out from the mechanism on it’s back, launching relentlessly to assault the MarineAngemon. But her singing wouldn’t even be interrupted, the rhythmic rising of the water only increasing as an artillery barrage from the MetalTyrannomon sent the claws veering off course. Knightmon jumped, only to have to slashs against one of MetalTyrannomon’s mighty claws.
“Lights will emerge.
Show them our glory.
The world shall drown
OoooOOoo-AaaayyoooOoo”
The eerie singing seemed unstoppable, but MetalTyrannomon only had so much of it’s stamina available when enthralled by Sulphan’s actions. Although the fight continued, traded blow for traded blow ended in the two hero’s favors. Working together, they could prevent the MetalTyrannomon from landing a clean hit. As Sinduramon used it’s claws to hit away MetalTyrannomon’s own, a loud screech enforced with powerful waves of dangerous data knocked the enthralled digimon back. With the enemy staggered, Knightmon leapt and thrust his sword deep into the poor beast.
MetalTyrannomon could not even scream. It simply fell to it’s knees as the MarineAngemon who was once upon it’s back now floated in the sky above him. Sulphan had no remorse in watching the MetalTyrannmon die slowly, its data fading from its body. As the ones and zeroes floated into the sky, the effect of the Sulphan’s Digicore took effect. Instead of peacefully flying off, both the wireframe of the Dragon digimon and the code floating away from it slowly were overtaken by error messages.

Knightmon watched in horror as he landed on the ground with a big splash, the water now up to his thighs. It glowed even here, and waved slowly in tune with the villainous singing. MarineAngemon did not err.
“Kings of the Deep
Below all that lives
Give us Destruction
Aaaaaa-OooAAaaaAaaa”
The light from the water glowed ever more, as a sort of spell took effect and the sky seemed to darken. A darkened sea foam green is the colour the air would take, the water becoming a deep, all light swallowing blue. Sinduramon and Knightmon hoped this meant backup, but knew the truth was far more grisly.
As they stood, ready to strike down Sulphan, A feeling of slimy terror overcame them. Water slithered over their bodies and pulled down on them, tendrils of water, small, glowing green lights visible in them, raising all around the smiling and singing MarineAngemon. The Choir had grown smaller, Rookie digimon drowning and their data corrupting into deletion, just like that MetalTyrannomon. Despite the openness of the area, the MarineAngemon’s voice had a thrumming echo to it, resounding off the very air like they were in a hall. The two heroes’ very core shook with the grisly notes that Sulphan sung.
“Down under we’ll go.
Our lives inert to the depths
I’ll sing our final song.
OoooOoo-IiiiiiaaaAaaayyyy”
Knightmon and Sinduramon fought and fought against the constant onslaught that the tentacles provided. It was hard to get a moment of escape, but Eventually, the two’s teamwork had Sinduramon floating far above the battlefield, no longer restrained by the Tentacles. A loud call it gave finally broke out over the apocalyptic Choir. Knowing it was the time to end this for once and for all, Knightmon summoned all the power he had within his sword. Thrusting it past the water, into the ground, its glow overtook the green glow, the digicode on it shining and bathing the water in splendorous light. A beam of light traveled up to it, towards Sinduramon. The Bird digimon knew exactly what to do with it. Upon coming close to Sinduramon, the light streaked over the Digizoid armor the Flying hero had, his own digicode glowing in response.
A spear of sheer light, faster than even a megadigimon could avoid. The choir had vanished entirely, and naught remained but a MarineAngemon, in the air, a beaming, shining hole straight through her. Her eyes wide in surprise, she hovered down, the water slowly rescinding into the ocean and the depths below.
Everything was in slow motion, every passing second a century. Knightmon was eager, although he stumbled next to his sword and had difficulty standing up, the water pulling furiously at his legs, dragging him towards the sea. “We must capture her!”
It was no hope. Sulphan smiled once more. Another roadblock. But even now, her preparations had been set in place. It was not the end. Not yet. Sinduramon was exhausted himself, slowly falling towards the ground below. Sulphan’s data dispersed into the ocean. Unlike everyone else, there was no error. No exception. It just slid away before Knightmon’s eyes. The new hero scolded to himself, slamming his fist into the sand. Multiple had died today. “And for what?”

But this was not the story of our Heroes. No, it’s the villain who opened her eyes one more. Reverting to a Digitama again. Ready to fight. Again. Ready to destroy. Again. Her personality was not reset this time, so it looked like another life of elegant, calculated effectiveness. These eyes would open up many more times. Time and time again. Until once, in the future, they will open up with violet fiery fury, blue fire and destruction all they could see.
