"I k-know it'll be colder. But..." Mae trailed off as light began to surround the Keramon, before she was enveloped in a sphere roughly her size that swiftly grew several times that in height. "I don't believe it should be much of an issue if at all, considering present circumstances. You coming along is, as I said, advantageous in many ways." The voice that could definitely be identified as Mae said, before the light shattered to reveal a much, much taller Rasielmon, her coat billowing in the wind.
More importantly, though, she had wings. Wings that could carry her wherever the hell she wanted to go. Plus, given the fact the Mega level bore a body encased in GOLD? Perhaps Hasenya's worries about lighting Mae on fire or burning here were unfounded. "...Um. Shall we...?"

This was definitely Mae speaking to her. Right? This was that same soft-speaking Keramon from just a moment ago who was worried about breaching her personal space... R-Right? Hasenya wasn't so sure. The Renamon just stared with wide bright pink eyes, in awe at all the differences between this Rasielmon and the Keramon she had just been speaking to. "W-Woah..." Hasenya finally managed to squeeze out as a response. If one could really call it a proper one.
What else could she really say to that? She felt dumb and embarrassed, thinking before that she had the potential to even begin to make a Mega feel uncomfortable with her abilities. Even at her best, she knew no such thing was possible. If she were small, she definitely felt it now. Though she couldn't help but think what she would be like once she reached that same level.. Would she be that tall, or just short forever? "U-Uh.. I... Ready when you are?" Hasenya definitely couldn't hide uncertainty in her voice. The Renamon felt some mix of terrified and something else she couldn't put her finger on. They weren't unwilling as this was still all part of the mission, but.. still.

The ophanim stared down at Hasenya. In reality, she hadn't grown THAT much taller than he--...Wait, ten feet was still pretty tall, right? The Renamon was staring up at her, which made this feel all the more awkward. She couldn't quite tell if that was a good kind of staring or not. "R-Right, so..." The Rasielmon began, before she leaned down to try and scoop the little pink gremlin up into her hands. "I'm gonna try not to fly too fast--i don't want you falling off or anything."
It was not that Mae herself had been uncertain, but she could definitely tell that Hasenya herself had reservations regarding this plan. Regardless, the Ophanim would begin a careful ascent to the summit of the mountain. It was far quicker than actually going up the mountain on foot, but it was like riding a carousel that could only go in one direction. Up.

It wasn't bad, probably. Anyone would be a little shocked staring at a ten foot tall Mega they were seeing for the first time. Hasenya was just really impressed- and again, something else she couldn't quite place a finger on. But none of it was necessarily bad. "Oh- yeah, sure." Hasenya nodded her head. She.. wasn't quite sure how she felt about getting scooped up like that. The Renamon could feel herself heating up though, if that were any kind of indication.
As she said before, heights didn't bother her, and she knew she could at least trust Mae enough to not drop her. The little gremlin curled up as best she could from whatever position she was put in and held on to the Rasielmon. Once again she felt incredibly just.. small. She didn't know how else to put it. Yeah, she was pretty compact compared to your average Renamon, but like this she felt positively tiny. She actually sort of enjoyed it. Maybe she was just weird.
They tried to think about something they could say on the way up, but all they could really do was wriggle about and be an awkward ball of fluff. "Uh... W-Warm enough up there?" Someone save this gremlin from embarrassing herself.

Mae felt like she had been carrying a small mote of flame. Did Hasenya actually heat up more from being picked up? "Um...Please tell me if you're not feeling well. I understand some people can get sick from lack of oxygen up here...Plus you're an awful lot hotter than usual..."
Admittedly she hadn't taken that into account, but that shouldn't be much of a problem considering she had a hold of the gremlin. As they continued their ascent, Mae found herself just short of actually poking through the clouds, and close to a true path to the summit. Opting to save the poor gremlin from further embarrassment, Mae drifted towards that path, and set herself down upon the stone pavement that pointed the way upwards.
...See, now might have been a good chance to put down the poor Renamon, but Mae just looked down at the fireball in her hands and tilted her head. "So tiny..." The Ophanim could be heard murmuring.

Despite how high up they were there was a strange feeling of security for the Renamon. Yeah she could drop to to either death or fatal injury with one wrong move, but at the same time she knew that wouldn't happen. It was a nice feeling, albeit a very confusing one seeing as she hadn't felt something so exactly similar. She knew what safety and comfort felt like, sure. But this was weirdly different, and trying to sort it out in her brain actually helped to calm her from being all flustered and wriggly in the Rasielmon's hands.
She took a deep breath of cold air, letting it take away some of the unnecessary heat. Fortunately papa Hikaru wasn't here to inform Mae that she was basically blushing. Hasenya might just die from embarrassment, if such were the case. "I'm fine- honest!" The Renamon did her best to reassure. She was very thankful once they started to go back down towards the ground- that means she would get put down and she could stop internally flustering, right?
No, apparently not. The universe decided there would be no mercy for the gremlin today. "I.. I-, uh..." That aforementioned fireball heated up once more. Not too intensely, though still a noticeable change, with a bit of a glow underneath her fur to really make her embarrassment obvious. Just when she was doing well enough, she blew her own cover sky high- not that she could really help it in her current position. "Y-Yes?" The Renamon stuttered, sounding like they tried to pose some kind of defense against the observation as if it were more like an accusation.

...Even with this reassurance, Mae kind of felt like she caused some embarrassment towards Hasenya. Was she truly fine or not? Such was a mystery. Much like people in general were to Mae. When they actually touched the ground, though, Mae CAUGHT HERSELF STILL HOLDING THE POOR GREMLIN. Even murmuring, too!
The question of whether she caused Hasenya some embarrassment or not was not something that she was unsure of THIS TIME. Because she definitely did! "...Sorry! Sorry!" She exclaimed, quickly trying to set the Renamon on the ground before tucking her hands behind her back in some embarrassment of her own. "It's...It's nothing, I just noticed how...huge this form is compared to you. I apologize if I was being rude."
...
"Should we get going to the summit now?" Please do. It wasn't very visible, but the Ophanim was blushing. If Hasenya offered no opposition to this, the Rasielmon would start on her way towards the summit.

These two were just one big mess, huh? As soon as the gremlin was set down, she sat that pink fluffy rear right down in the snow and took some deep breaths. The cold air and all that snow helped a ton with her weird way of blushing, killing that all too obvious glow under her fur right off nice and quick. Though she was probably too late to have hidden it, she was sort of banking on the idea that Mae didn't know how she got when she was flustered. And she would much rather look like she were playing in the snow than she would be caught blushing that profusely.
Once she felt sufficiently calm she stood back up and shook the snow out of her fur before it could melt and become annoying. "I-It's fine.. You just spooked me a little bit. You don't have to apologize." The Renamon shook her head. Honestly she was the one overreacting. Today was getting weirder and weirder, and that Neemon wasn't even here- rather, thankfully that Neemon wasn't here. "Yeah, we should. Before you run out of energy or something." The gremlin shifted a bit awkwardly and turned to move up the mountain, once again on foot.
She decided she should at least try to make some more small talk before they reached the top, just so things would hopefully not be as awkward- Maybe even one of them could stop blushing! "Am I really that tiny? I mean.. I know I'm not exactly average, but I never actually paid that much attention to my own height." It was a genuine curiosity. Not like she was insecure over it. If anything, the idea of being tall was somehow uncomfortable to think about.

Yep. A mess and a much taller mess that could assume the form of an angel. Truly the combination of the year. While Mae didn't precisely know how Hasenya became when flustered, she was very quickly getting an idea of what that was like. If she didn't really need to apologize, then...she probably should have anyways. At least the Neemon wasn't here.
Mae did need to address something, though. "Oh, n-no, just being in the form doesn't tax me too much. It's -fighting- in the form that does." The Rasielmon clarified as they proceeded up the mountain. The summit was cloudy, with a rocky formation forming the peak proper. There had been a small altar with the...hilt of a sword present. It was simply there.
"I...Well, you're certainly much smaller than my Rasielmon form, that much is certain, but that's to be expected at this level. Now, if I were to, say...revert back to my guise as Meicoomon? I feel like we'd be similarly sized. Except with me being smaller. Really, I think you're perfect as is..." Mae trailed off, before she pointed forwards.
"That's -part- of a sword...Think we can stick a rock to it, call it a blade and get back down?"

"Oh... I wouldn't have known, really." Now if there were one thing she were insecure over, if not her height, it was the fact she was still a Renamon. All things considered she had grown into a Rookie much faster than anyone would have guessed and then she just sort of... lingered there. She wasn't down about it or anything- if anything, she was motivated by it to keep trying getting better. Whatever her champion form would be like, she knew it would be awesome and well worth it.
On the subject of her size though, Mae claimed she was perfect as she was. In a way she agreed, though the particular way Mae put it got the Renamon to be a tad huffy. Not exactly internally screaming or rolling around in the snow blushing like a motherhugger, but it touched a soft spot for sure. "I haven't been able to compare many megas side by side but I feel it's safe to assume they're all frickin' huge. Maybe some more huge than others, but.. I couldn't ever see a mega being my size."
"...I can probably fix it, but I'd rather not. Maybe we can find the blade laying around somewhere else." She didn't like this sword hilt business one little bit. It was extremely shady, and since it was Terabyte Mountain that made it all the more paranoia-inducing. Hasenya went to retrieve it, looking it over in her hand before pulling off her magic trick for the day by shoving it into the fluff of her tail.
It wasn't actually magic obviously, just one of the many non-aesthetic benefits of being a fluffy gremlin creature. Hopefully that sword hilt wasn't some Indiana Jones type cursed business that would make her regret just.. pocketing it.

"I guess it's something you'd need to experience for yourself to really...well, know about. You'll get there soon, I'm sure of it." Mae nodded a few times. "And actually, I can disprove that right now with a single name. MarineAngemon." That, of course was the one mega, the ONLY mega, that could ever be Hasenya's size as the fluffy pink fox was right now. Too bad she didn't know any personally, else she'd ask for a proper comparison.
Turning her attention towards the hilt, the fox posed a fair point. Where...-was- the blade? "If it even exists..." This was far more shady than it appeared, and it was going to get all the more worse the literal moment Hasenya touched the hilt and pocketed it. A metric ton of mist sprayed out from where the hilt rested, starting to cloud the entire summit!
Mae just sprang forth in alarm to pull Hasenya away from that. As...cumbersome as it might have been. "Get away from that!" Who knew what the hell that mist did? Furthermore, what did she just SPRING?

It wouldn't have been difficult at all for a mega of Mae's size to pull Hasenya back, and it wasn't like the Renamon would have the strength necessary to properly resist her. She had no idea what entity or other force she had upset by grabbing that hilt and taking it to hopefully put back together with it's blade, but.. She was sort of tempted to set it on fire. And she was gonna do just that, even if it weren't her smartest idea to date. The fox aimed two of her fingers at the altar, getting ready to fire off a measly little Kilofire before her common sense kicked it and screamed at her. If this mist were flammable it could explode, and while it may not do much to Mae, she really didn't need to be giving the Rasielmon a heart attack over Hasenya blowing herself up.
"I..I dunno what I did- Should we get away?" If she were on her own up here she would have ran away already, but Mae was the more experienced one here and the Renamon's brain was doing something other than flustering over a tall girl. Though Hasenya had no way of telling just how many times Mae would have had to deal with potentially poisonous and or flammable mist. "I could put the hilt back or something- Er.. That's dumb. That's gotta be dumb."

This had been souring rather quickly, all things considered. Hasenya had not been alone in her idea to try blowing the altar to hit, Mae had been contemplating aiming a Knowledge Stream it's way and running with the bubblegum fox in tow. The Rasielmon started to just lead Hasenya away from the altar, only to be confronted with a wall of the mists. It seemed that for lack of a better word, they had been trapped there.
"We need to get away, but...we're stuck here...And I don't know if putting the hilt back would truly solve anything..." She sounded a little worried, now. And yet, at the same time, what seemed to sound like Mae's voice echoed through the mists. A low, and definitely not benign sounding chuckle.
It said nothing, it merely continued to chuckle. That chuckle soon gave way to a chortle, which then segued into uproarious laughter, the likes of which were comparable to the laugh from the end of the Thriller music video. And yet it didn't dare to show itself. It decidedly was not Mae, however...

Oh, no. Hasenya wasn't about to have any of this. There had to be a way out. It was just mist, wasn't it? Not some kind of dense solid. Disregarding that last bit of paranoia, she aimed her finger at the wall of mist and hit it with a little fireball shot from the tip of it. It didn't make impact like with a normal solid wall, but it was immediately extinguished as if it had been swallowed up. That was honestly scarier than it making a real hit, but still better than this stuff turning out to be explosive or flammable.
When Hasenya heard that chuckle she nearly jumped out of her fur. She looked up at Mae and then all around, trying to find the source. It may have sounded like Mae, but it wasn't Mae. That noise struck fear into her. Surely Mae had heard and seen scarier things, but Hasenya was a complete newbie. The Renamon was already freaking out slightly, though fortunately for both of them she wasn't quite panicking.
As soon as the chuckling escalated though, the pink fox tightened her grip on Mae and barely fought off the urge to shoot another fireball in some random direction she couldn't see in due to the mist. She wasn't really aware of the faction, she just instinctively clung onto the nearest thing that didn't make her fear for her tail. And of course, when she thought things couldn't get more frightening she was hit with an overwhelming sense of dread. Like more than just her tail was about to be in danger.
She didn't quite like it, not one bit. Lucky for here there was this conveniently placed Rasielmon to squeeze the life out of (if need be.) Whatever was in the mist laughing at them, it definitely wasn't alone. It may not have been as vocal, but Hasenya was trusting in her gut on this one. Even if that same gut urged her to "cling to the tall lady and scream for emergency Chancla". Obviously she chose to do only half of that, though. "I-I don't like this.. That stupid Neemon probably tricked us or something, ugh."

"...Tricked us into going for something right out of my nightmares." Mae grumbled as the laughter slowly began to die down. Who did it belong to if not the cat herself? The Rasielmon glanced down to Hasenya, wondering if the Renamon was...actually afraid of whatever had lurked within the mists. Of course, that was about to reveal itself. "Aw, look at the wannabe angel, trying to safeguard yet another. It's quite unfortunate that all you seem to do is ensure the deaths of those you befriend." The not-quite-Mae-sounding voice rang out again as something within finally stirred and stepped out. See, while Mae had been expecting something like a Raguelmon to step out? It was exactly that, except it was not. Sure, it bore the silver fur that Mae possessed in that form, but it's armor was a deep purple, and the ground around it seemed to twist and writhe in agony as it laid it's feet upon the stone. How was -stone- capable of that? "The Neemon did not trick you, the Neemon simply sought to rid the world of both of you!" ...Mae seemed to be frozen in place out of fear while the Raguelmon hunched forward as if it was about to spring forth. Was that for intimidation purposes? The answer was a solid 'probably.' What would Hasenya do? [197/2796]
