Kiyo stared, wide eyed, at the buildings around her. Even though Mimi and Usagi told her this place existed, she still doubted it. Getting on that train, getting taken to a completely different world was still so surreal. She was probably in shock. She had no idea what she could do here, what she should even try to do. Should she make friends? She watched the different people and Digimon walking by and decided it might be safer to keep to herself. She didn't want to get eaten by something.
Clutching her bag to her chest in an attempt at comforting herself, she walked down a street. Unsure where to go, and what to do she wandered aimlessly. She could have asked Usagi or Mimi what the hell this place was, but that would be cheating. And she didn't exactly trust them quite yet. When two digital rabbits spit themselves out of your computer, it can cause some mistrust.
Turning her head to stare at... a bear? What even was that? She turned a corner without looking where she was going and bumped into someone. "Oh! I'm so sorry."

"Alright, Arlo, I believe that is everything set up," Luneth the SaviorHackmon declared as he wiped some sweat off of his forehead. It wasn't much, as setting up the traveling bakery didn't take much for an Ultimate level like himself, but it was still plenty of physical activity in a short span of time for the caped Digimon.
"Perfect, thank you again Luneth," the Angoramon said from within the mobile baked goods shop, which was like a bigger version of a food truck. It was just recently that the two had teamed up together to travel with this bakery all throughout the Digital World, so it was surprising to see everything running smoothly so far on that front. "Everything's ready from in here as well. Now we just need to attract customers."
"Perhaps I could go around and advertise the shop?" Luneth suggested.
"Perhaps if you were still a Hackmon. I have a feeling you would just scare customers away."
"I'm still the same Luneth on the inside, I'm not that scary," Luneth said in defense. "Oh well, perhaps we'll end up picking up steam at some point later today."
Luneth would then feel something bump into his sword-like leg. Thankfully when he's not in combat it would be impossible to get cut or hurt by it. Luneth looked down to see a human with long black hair and a hat. She immediately apologized about the collision, at least. "Ah, that is perfectly fine. You're a human, I see... do you happen to have a Digimon partner accompanying you, by any chance?"

Kiyo looked up, up, at the... Person? Creature? What even is that!? Oh god, she was gonna get eaten. "I- I don't. I'm sorry I didn't mean-" She stumbled over her words, clutching her bag closer to her chest as some kind of shield. Although she doubted it would do much. It was so spiky.
It asked her a question. It asked her a question. "Oh uh, I-" She fumbled for her Xros Loader, clipped onto her belt. Right, she could show this powerful creature her Digimon... Did it want to eat them instead? A worthy sacrifice. She pressed some buttons on her device, not quite remembering how it worked. What was it she was looking for? Right! The Reload option. She pressed the button on the Loader and her two Digimon materialised in a flash.
Lopmon immediately launched herself at Kiyo's head. "Kiyo! You did it, you made it to the digital world!" Kiyo stumbled back at the force of it, almost falling over. Lopmon moved from the front of her face to settle on the back of her shoulders, wrapping her arms and ears around Kiyo to keep secure. Lopmon looked up at the SaviorHackmon. "Woooooooah. You're big! I'm Mimi, nice to meetcha!"
Meanwhile, Mimi's brother, a Terriermon, stood by his general's legs. He had his arms crossed, and looked up curiously, and a little warily. He didn't introduce himself, preferring to keep quite for now.
Kiyo smiled. "Tada. My Digimon."

It didn't take a genius to tell that this human was scared out of her mind. As she looked up at Luneth she was stumbling over her words and holding her bag close to her chest as if it were some kind of shield. The Saviorhackmon sweatdropped at this turn of events, this was not what he was expecting at all. He knelt down to the girl's level. "You're clearly new to the Digital World. There's far more Digimon bigger than I am, I can tell you that. I can also promise you that I am not going to hurt you. You can trust me." His bright blue eyes would not break eye contact with her as he said this.
Arlo popped his head out from the ordering window to see the situation as the human girl fumbled with what Luneth recognized as a Xros Loader. She pressed a button and out popped a Terriermon and a Lopmon, which reminded Luneth of Mocha and Cream... at least until their personalities came to shine. The Lopmon hopped onto the girl's shoulders and introduced herself as Mimi, commenting on how big Luneth is. "Heheh, yes I am big. My name is Luneth, it is nice to meet you too." He'd give them all a little wave as he smiled. The SaviorHackmon's voice sounded very calm and posh, almost like a certain Scion...
Luneth took note of the Terriermon's reaction, who had his arms crossed as he looked up at Luneth. This confirmed that these two were nothing like Mocha and Cream, at least. "Anyways... would you two be interested in buying some baked goods at Arlo's today?" Luneth asked, glancing at the trailer-like stall behind him. "Best cakes and pies in the whole Digital World, as far as I'm concerned."

Kiyo calmed down slightly when Luneth knelt down. He didn't seem too dangerous, at the very least he hadn't immediately tried to attack her, or threaten violence. It was a relief, to find someone that seemed so nice, in such a new place. Especially someone that looked so scary. It meant that not everything here would try an eat her... right?
Kiyo's eyes widened slightly at the mention of food. Oh, so Digimon did eat? What on earth did code eat for sustenance, if it wasn't the flesh of human beings? Mimi immediately perked up at the mention of food, and she rocked back and forth on Kiyo's shoulders, hands gripping the edge of her hat.
"Food? You sell food? Kiyo, Kiyo, can we get some food!? Can we, please? I'm starving!" Mimi whacked an ear against Kiyo's face in her excitement.
Kiyo spluttered at the abuse, waving the ear away. "I dunno..."
Usagi had also looked interested at the mention of food, uncrossing his arms. He pulled at Kiyo's trouser leg, looking up at her with wide eyes. "Can we?"
Kiyo was such a sucker for puppy bunny eyes. She sighed. "Uh yeah, we can get some food. I uh... How- What currency is used in the Digital World? How do I pay?"

While the girl, who was named Kiyo, did seem to be calmer than before, Luneth could still tell that she was still a little bit scared of him. "Hm... perhaps I should devolve for now..." The SaviorHackmon would begin to glow before he shrunk and shrunk, until eventually he still looked similar to how he did before but now a quadrupedal dragon who was now smaller than even Kiyo herself. "Is this form more suitable for you? I can stay like this until you're more comfortable around me, even if I prefer my previous form."
At the very mention of food, both the Terriermon and Lopmon would proceed to ask Kiyo if they could buy some in their own special ways. Mimi for one was being very in your face with Kiyo when she asked, to the point where Luneth couldn't help but chuckle at the scene that was playing out in front of him. "Heheheh... I assume you haven't learned that Digimon happen to love food yet, have you? Myself included, of course."
It was inevitable after the twins' display of begging and puppy dog eyes to convince Kiyo to buy them something from the bakery. Luneth smiled, for that meant more business to the bakery, and the first customer of the day! Of course, Kiyo wasn't aware of the Digital World's currency yet. "Ah, right... we use a currency known as Bits in the Digital World. You are a new Tamer, correct? You should have a sufficient amount of Bits already. I believe there is a section for currency on your... Xros Loader?"

Kiyo watched the Digimon before her shrink into a smaller form. It was a lot less intimidating to be taller than a creature that could easily best you. He was also kinda cute in this form. Kind of like a puppy, just like her two Digimon were kind of like rabbits. She smiled down at Luneth. "Ah, thank you. But if you're uncomfortable like that, I'm sure it'll be fine. It'll just take me a while to get more used to this place and all the large creatures around."
Kiyo picked up Usagi to cradle him in her arms. Mimi looking down at the devolved Luneth with fascination. "That's so cool mister!" Mimi shouted excitedly. "I can't wait till I can get bigger."
Kiyo carried her two Digimon closer to the food stand, scrolling through the options on her Xros loader until she found a digital wallet. She did indeed have some 'bits'. She wondered if there was a way to transfer human money into digital money, or vice versa. Looking after a bunch a Digimon might get expensive.
Kiyo smiled at Luneth. "Yeah, I can see it getting a bit much. But you're right! I do have some money. What kinda food do you recommend?"

Luneth smiled as he waved his paw. "I do prefer my higher forms, but I am perfectly fine being like this if it makes you more comfortable. It's mainly for show anyways, so no thieves tried anything. You will get used to how our world works in time, I can promise you that. A few of my friends are humans themselves."
The Hackmon didn't know how he felt about being called "mister" by Mimi. Technically, Luneth still had the mentality of a middle schooler at most, despite the change in forms. He sweatdropped a bit as he scratched the back of his head. "Please, call me Luneth. I'm not old enough to be a mister quite yet, I'll admit." Still, Luneth's tail could be seen wagging a bit since he did feel appreciated by the compliment.
After Kiyo looked through her Xros Loader, she found that she did in fact have some starting money. Luneth couldn't help but chuckle at that; whatever force that was giving humans Digivices was also kind enough to generate some starting-off Digital World money for them. Kiyo then asked what Luneth recommended, to which the dragon just gave her a blank stare. "One thing you're gonna learn about Digimon is that we love food, especially myself. So that's why I'm going to recommend literally everything."
"If you want an honest suggestion, the cannoli sell well," Arlo said, pointing to the display case where a few cannoli were on display. They seemed typical, a pastry roll filled with cream and chocolate topped with powdered sugar. It was definitely appetizing though. "Aside from that, I pretty much make any kind of baked goods that one can imagine, provided I have the ingredients needed to make them."

Kiyo hummed and smiled down at Luneth. "It's certainly impressive. I'm sure no one will bother you when you're in your bigger form." She was slowly getting used to the idea of Digimon. That there were sentient creatures that could grow bigger and smaller and walk and talk like they were alive. And really, they were alive. It would be rather insensitive to think they weren't. Although, via context clues, she was slowly gaining the realisation that they were digital creatures. She still hadn't quite wrapped her mind around the logic of it all, but the fact that she was here meant something at least. And she was pretty certain Mimi and Usagi were both real.
Mimi looked at the available pastries with wide eyes, and swayed back and forth on Kiyo's shoulders. "Ooooh, I want one of those. I want a cannoli thingy, please."
Usagi took his time looking through the options, and gently pointed out a small tart from the selection. "I would like that one please." He asked, look up in Kiyo's arms, and she smiled down at him.
"No problem, we'll take the cannoli and that tart please." Kiyo fiddled with her Xros Loader and pressed a few more buttons, hopefully that transferred the money correctly. "That... That should be your payment, let me know if I did that wrong."
The two Digimon grabbed for their respective treats enthusiastically, and were quite while they ate. Kiyo turned back to Luneth.
"So... Do all Digimon get bigger like you can? Will these two do it too?"

"Well... Digimon who are equally as big as me would probably still try to bother me in that form." Luneth admitted, a dopey grin on his face as he rubbed the back of his head, "As well as Digimon who are bigger than me... and even some who are smaller."
"Hmhm, the bigger forms are still useful for scaring off less than noble Digimon from trying anything funny, at least," Arlo replied with a slight smile. He'd then focus his attention on Kiyo, Mimi and Usagi as they told the Angoramon what they would like to order.
Mimi seemed to be sold on the cannoli that Angoramon was advertising, while Usagi seemed to want a simple tart. Arlo nodded as he grabbed a cannoli and a tart for the Digimon, with proper health safety practices of course. He put the two baked sweets on the counter as Kiyo transferred the money from her Xros Loader to the register. "Will this be it for you three today?" Arlo asked, pondering as to why Kiyo didn't order anything for herself.
After that was all wrapped up, Kiyo then asked if she completed the payment right. Arlo would check the register for a moment before saying, "Yup, the payment went through perfectly. Enjoy your treats."
"And be sure to recommend us to your friends," Luneth felt the need to advertise. After she gave Mimi and Usagi their treats, Kiyo asked Luneth if all Digimon get big like he does. "In theory, yes, though it's different for every Digimon. Some Digimon like my father are paired together with humans, so they borrow a human's power to Digivolve. Then there's Digimon like me, who can Digivolve at will once we are able to reach a certain level. Then there's some Digimon that take a while to Digivolve, but once they do, they're stuck in that state. As for your partners... I noticed you have a Xros Loader. If that's what it is, then those two won't Digivolve normally. Does that answer your question?"
It was quite a mouthful that the Hackmon had just said, to put it lightly!

"Ah, good, I'm glad the payment went through okay. I'm not feeling too hungry, so I don't need anything." Kiyo smiled at Arlo as he confirmed the payment. This was all so new, and both Arlo and Luneth were being nice, so she didn't want to accidentally steal from them.
She turned her smile to Luneth as he spoke about Digivolving, it was all rather interesting. Mimi was still holding onto her head, standing up on Kiyo's shoulder's. She used her ears to eat her treat. She wasn't exactly stuffing it in her face, but she wasn't taking her time either. She was trying her best not to get crumbs or chocolate all over Kiyo's hat and head.
Usagi was taking a slower approach with his tart, nibbling on it much like a human world rabbit. It looked like it had some kind of red filling and despite his careful bites, his mouth was soon ringed in red.
"Oh man, this is so good! We can come back for more, right Kiyo?" Mimi asked, as she scoffed down the last bite of her canoli.
"Yeah! It's tasty." Usagi joins in, looking up with his large eyes.
As Luneth finished his explanation, Kiyo examined her Xros loader a little closer. "I'll be sure to recommend you, although everyone I currently know doesn't know about this place, so I'll need to be making some new friends. Hmm... So, you guys wont be Digivolving any time soon then?"
Mimi perked up and started waving her ears around again as she started explaining it a little more. "It'll take us a while, we can't do it like most other Digimon can. But that's where you come in! You're our general! So you gotta find us some friends, and then we can change into lots of different forms, which makes it super cool."
Kiyo frowned slightly. "Oh... Gotta find some friends. Does that sound about right?" She asked Luneth, hoping Mimi was just trying to trick her into getting some more Digimon to hang around with them. Kiyo hadn't signed up for collecting a whole bunch of these things, two were already more than enough.

Luneth and Arlo both smiled as they watched the twin Digimon happily eat their sweets, both of them exclaiming how good their respective treats were. "I am glad you both like them," Arlo said with a smile, "when I first got into baking, I wasn't exactly confident on my ability to make satisfactory baked goods. Reactions like yours are exactly what I wish to achieve with this business."
"I help bake and clean around the bakery sometimes, but usually I work as the muscle," Luneth explained. "We're actually a traveling bakery, so we go all around the Digital World, and Arlo here needs a bit of help since he isn't exactly a fighter. This world's dangerous even if you know where you're going."
At least Kiyo said that she'd recommend the bakery to her friends if she... actually made any. That's right, she was still new to the Digital World, wasn't she? Luneth and Arlo looked at each other before the former asked, "How did you arrive in the Digital World, anyways? And where did you meet your partners here."
After Luneth explained how Digivolving worked, Kiyo seemed a bit disappointed that her partners wouldn't be evolving for a very long time. The Lopmon explained that Kiyo needed to find some friends first before they could evolve into higher forms. "That's right. As a Xros General, you'll be meeting all kinds of Digimon and inviting them to join your army. And with that, you can DigiXros..." Oh right, he didn't know their names yet. "...your partners here into higher forms. You'll be having an entourage with you in no time, so be prepared for that."
"I've mentally prepared myself for when we have to serve a large Xros Army in the future," Arlo commented.
"I'm positive you'll find your crew in no time."

Kiyo hummed in thought as she was asked how she got here and met her Digimon. "It's a bit of a funny story, I guess? I'm not sure how most people meet their partners, but I had been tracking down what I thought had been a computer virus. When I finally managed to pin it down, it fried my laptop and out popped this thing." She held up the Xros Loader. "I had no idea what it was, but there were a bunch of menu options and things I didn't quite understand, but I was curious. So I pressed some buttons and out popped these two. Mimi," she pointed out the Lopmon standing on her shoulders, who waved with her ears at being introduced. "And Usagi." She pointed down at the Terriermon, who blinked up at them all with red stains around his mouth. "They said they were Lopmon and Terriermon, but those names seemed a bit complicated and they were excited for me to give them a nickname so."
Mimi nodded her head excitedly. "Yep yep! I'm Mimi! It'll definitely help for you to give us cool human names. What if we get more Lopmon on the team? We can't all be called Lopmon, that would just get confusing. Although some might have their own names they'll want to use."
"And we're friends now." Usagi joined in. "Friends give each other nicknames all the time."
"Of course!" Kiyo smiled down at him. "As for how I got here, well these two wanted me to come here. Said this was where they were from. I was a little sceptical... But considering strange creatures came out of my laptop, I wasn't sure what to expect. But they weren't sure how I should go about it, so I thought why not take a trip out and see if I can stumbled across the Digital World. Apparently I got on the wrong, well right, train and ended up here. Did some wandering around and bumped into you two!"
Kiyo sighed a little at the confirmation that she would indeed be collecting more digital creatures. Well, at least she would have to if she wanted Mimi and Usagi to get any stronger. "Well, I'm not sure how I feel about having to look after a whole bunch of Digimon, but I'm sure it'll be a fun adventure." And certainly a learning experience. But then Kiyo realised Arlo had said Army. "Wait, how many are we talking about?"
Mimi did a quick count on her fingers. "At least eight!"
Kiyo almost choked on air. "Eight!?"
"Four each so the both of us can get the strongest we can."
Kiyo was not looking forward to having ten whole Digimon following her lead. She could barely look after two. At least she could keep them in the Xros Loader... hopefully. She wasn't sure how that worked either. Perhaps it only worked for the twins.
"Well you can definitely count on our patronage whenever we bump into each other again. Are you heading anywhere specific from here? I don't think I'll be staying around for too long, I only came here today to get used to the place. You said it could be dangerous, so I wont be walking off too far for a while."

Oh, so it seemed that Kiyo was a computer hacker. "I know a couple others who are well versed with electronics as well," Luneth said, feeling the need to bring that up in case Kiyo was interested. She had been tracking down what she thought was a computer virus, and when she pinned it down, it fried her laptop and spat out her Xros Loader. "Yeah, that tends to happen. My father met his partner when he came to the human world through a television, of all things."
"It's interesting how you believed it to be a virus," Arlo said, "as that is a theory of how us Digimon came to be: a virus containing artificial intelligence spreading online, giving birth to various creatures that came to be known as Digital Monsters, or Digimon."
"Oh, I didn't know that, actually."
"As I said, it is only a theory."
Kiyo continued with her story. She didn't understand the menu on her Xros Loader, so she pressed some buttons and out popped Usagi the Terriermon and Mimi the Lopmon, though those were only nicknames that she gave the two of them. "Some Digimon go by their species name, like my Father, who is a Shoutmon. Then there are Digimon like Arlo and I that have human-esque nicknames. It's a matter of preference at the end of the day."
Then Kiyo explained how she got here. Usagi and Mimi wanted her to come here, so she decided to go on a trip and see if she could find it. She apparently got on the Trailmon by mistake and ended up here. "How do you accidentally end up on a Trailmon?" Luneth asked, tilting his head a bit. "They're on an abandoned platform, one that you need to physically use your Digivice or D-Terminal to enter."
"Yeah, I am very confused about that, as well."
Kiyo seemed disappointed that she'd have to find more Digimon to tag along with her and the twins... and almost had a heart attack when she was told she'd have to recruit eight total Digimon! After Luneth and Arlo had a quick laugh, Kiyo asked if the two were going anywhere. "I was thinking we'd set up shop here for a few hours before heading out. This bakery is a transforming vehicle, so we travel around the Digital World with it."
"If you're new to the Digital World, the cities like Terminus here and especially Rosewood are good places. Rosewood is a city built with help from humans, so they welcome them with open arms there."
