Zack whistled softly to himself under the warm summer stars, kneeling down in the back garden behind the shelter as he worked a trowel into the bed of the flowers that he was planting. Some here. Some there. A rainbow of colors and a mass variety of flower shapes. Partly it was to keep some snacks in the house that Marigold wouldn't have to share, even most digimon weren't exactly trampling over each other to eat roses and dandelions so Marigold's fully plant based diet would have something she could nibble on that wouldn't make her feet like she was taking from the shelter supplies.
Marigold herself was inside, working at the small sewing desk that her father had gotten her for Christmas. She was working on crochet tonight, stitching little flowers together and then putting them together on a plastic crochet board to do her own little bit of flower arranging tonight. Her father smiled at her through the window, catching the small moment of being able to peer in on her tiny comforts and casual joys. It was an untampered moment that he didn't get to see too often without his presence affecting anything. He almost got lost just watching her work from outside.
BOOM. A massive sound and pressure rattled everything along the night sky, bending grass and branches from here to Rosewood over the hills surrounding the shelter. In an instant the sky was suddenly awash in a burning purple light coming from a spot of burning matter sinking impossibly fast toward the ground leaving a trail of bulging, billowing smoke like a pillar in the sky behind it. Zack stood up to watch it, knowing that he and Marigold would probably have to go check it out.
As it turned out, they didn't need to go anywhere to find out what they were dealing with, considering that it was getting bigger and bigger with only a few seconds passage of time and it looked like it was heading right for the patch of maintained green grass in the shelter's own backyard.
"Dad, what the hell was th-AH!" She yelped as her father tackled her back inside over the threshold of the door, slamming it shut and holding the doorknob tightly as he braced them both for impact. The SLAM of the object into the yard shook everything even more than the sonic boom up above had. Multiple things in the living area, the kitchen, the storage closets and the sleeping areas up above tumbled or shattered off of their shelves before the shaking stopped as quickly as it had begun.
Zack and Marigold slowly, gently pushed the door open, finding a massive clod of upturned earth where the pristine grass of the garden had once been, still pluming thick nearly solid smoke up into the air as something began to crawl from the wreckage with long, spindly tendrils and sharp, clawing limbs. It was...
A small purple ball of a digimon that reached the crest of the mound and then thumped and rolled all the way down.

Some time had passed once again since Arthur had his latest adventure and this one was the one wherein Arthur along with his " Wormmon" Sprite Spirit and his new associate digimon, namely the " Strabimon" called " Conan Watson" had traveled to “ Rosewood City” area in the “ Eastern Timberlands” region of the Digital World for the purpose of acquiring a Holosuit device for “ Conan/Strabimon”. Sadly, however, their trip had been cut short since Arthur was kidnapped by some rogue, delinquent digimon and then manhandled in some alleyway of said city. Fortunately for him, though, he was summarily rescued by the combined efforts of “ Conan/Strabimon” as well as Arthur’s newest digimon ally, namely a “ Jellymon” whom he had dubbed as “ Elektra Adler” after that incident had concluded successfully. To this end, they had also received additional aid in the form of the “ Sistermon Noir” whom Arthur and “ Conan/Strabimon” had met in an earlier adventure. Alas, though they had rescued Arthur successfully during this adventure in Rosewood, it had taken so long that, in the end, they had not been able to get in contact with the relevant digital vendor to get “ Conan/Strabimon” his Holosuit device. Since then, Arthur had once again gotten back to the grind of his daily life of high society training, his scholarly duties as a student of Tokyo U., assisting his parents with the running of the business conglomerate owned and ran by their family, and so on. In this manner, time had marched on for Arthur until present day wherein, he was currently gearing up again for what seemed like another trip to the Digital World, and so, he heard his Sprite Spirit, aka " Wormmon", inquire to this end Ah, are we readying ourselves for another sojourn into my home, the Digital World, Master Edogawa?Arthur heard his " Wormmon" Sprite Spirit speak thusly in his mindscape while appearing in ethereal form as per his usual preference and so, he also manifested mental avatar in his mindscape to talk to said spirit digimon Indeed, for last time, our efforts had been thwarted by the whims of the Norns above…we will be making another sojourn to the great city of Rosewood to get our friend Conan his Holosuit device.Upon hearing that, “ Conan/Strabimon” nodded and remarked, chuckling with a wry smile on his lupine face “May the Norns grant us success this time and see to it that no further problems and obstacles impede our way towards this goal...”After that, Arthur’s new merc, aka “ Elektra/Jellymon” piped up with her two cents on the issue at hand “While we are there, we can also acquire a Holosuit for me as well, Master Edogawa. That way, we can save ourselves an additional trip on my account.”Arthur smirked at her as he remarked after pondering the issue for a few moments while silently hoping nothing else would go wrong for them on this trip, but not really expecting his wish to come true either, given his apparent streak of ill fortune “Two bird with one stone, as the aphorism goes, eh? Smart idea, we shall proceed in that manner then, everyone.”With that, the matter was settled, and then Arthur prepared his gear and dressed himself quickly in his usual job attire and once he was done, he activated his " EV Suit" and the " Analog Jammer" devices as well as his " Hover Craft" auxiliary vehicle which was basically a futuristic-looking hoverboard, getting on and calibrating his balance according to the given instructions for it. Finally, he checked to see that none of his personal care maid squad members, ( i.e., Rose, Lily, and Jasmine) were anywhere in the vicinity of his bedchambers and after he was satisfied with the results of his check, he opened the Digi-Port with his D-Tector via the usual command phrase and action "Digi-Port Open! Eastern Timberlands – Rosewood!"With that the standard sliver of the Digi-Port's swirling black void opened in the air directly in front of him and then he tugged on it to open it fully Then, he stepped inside and within the next minute or so, he and his two digital followers, namely “ Conan/Strabimon” and “ Elektra/Jellymon”, were instantly teleported to this destination in the Digital World that he had specified earlier. Then, Arthur sent “ Conan/Strabimon” to get in contact with his vendor friend who was one of the Holosuit sellers in Rosewood. Once he was out of earshot, Arthur and “ Elektra/Jellymon” began to make their way through the throngs of digimon milling about in the streets of said city while taking in the sights and sounds, with said medusa/mollusk digimon riding on his shoulder with her myriad tentacles wrapped around his neck loosely like a jelliform scarf so she could hang on securely. Little did they know that, in a few moments, their trip to Rosewood would be getting a lot more exciting in nature. OOC:- Arthur's Appearance:- Arthur's Hoverboard (Codename: Sleipnir MK1):

The newly arrived party would see the entire town in a panic as they looked up at the purple object plummeting from the sky like a flaming meteorite. The impact of the object into the ground somewhere close by made the entire ground seem to rock and shiver for a heartbeat or two, making the window panes shiver and tremble on the building around them.
"It landed near that shelter in the hills!" They heard on nearby digimon shout, pointing to one direction outside of town. Arthur would see a poster hanging on the town bulletin board advertising just such a shelter and even directions directly to the place just over the hills in a valley just barely hidden from sight by high hills. The only smoke rising from behind those hills seemed to be no bigger than the smoke and steam that would rise from the object itself so whatever shelter it had landed near didn't seem to have been lit on fire by the impact or conflagration. Small blessings.
Meanwhile, at the shelter itself Zack and Marigold peeked around the corner of the door to actually get a look at the "creature" who had invaded their yard. They were both there to help people after all, if it was in trouble despite the rather violent entrance than they would do their best to help. Assuming that its reaction within the next thirty seconds to a minute didn't include trying to eat them both. Perhaps a bit cynical of a first reaction but with the digital world involved it was always probably safer to assume you were going to get nearly eaten at some point in a month long period.
"Uhh...hi there!" Zack shouted, finally pushing himself back up to his full height and walking toward the smoking crater the ball had just managed to pry itself out of. It was now laying face down in the dirt, the wiry tendrils on the bottom of its body trembling and waving mindlessly in mid air as it's bladed, swiveling limbs twitched and spun to try and find purchase in the freshly upturned ground, leaving deep slash marks in the soil bed at it struggled. "Are you alright?" Zack asked, concerned, reaching down and trying to place his hand on the steaming outside of the mechanical digimon only to pull it back with a painful hiss. "Ah damn it! Yea, probably should have seen that one coming." He said, turning to his daughter as he placed his middle finger into his mouth, human instinct heling him to soothe the pain that was sinking into the digit even as it muffled and slurred his voice. "Marigold, darling? Would you go fill up a bucket of water?...make that two?" He said, turning back toward the bee digimon that was watching with suspicious eyes from the doorway, as if waiting for her chance to pounce upon the possibly dangerous interloper.
"Suuurrreee. I'll be right back." Marigold said, turning away toward the inside of the house before jerking her head back out as if trying to keep track of something that only moved when she wasn't looking. Her father raised an eyebrow, placing his hands on his hips and tapping his foot against the floor as he waited. The softly sizzling metallic ball wasn't going anywhere at that particular moment. Marigold blushed as she was caught in the act of being suspicious and protective of her father so she sheepishly turned back into the house for real and returned quickly with twin buckets, her and her father pouring the cold water on top of the gridle hot metal digimon.
A MASSIVE mushroom cloud of steam rose off of the purple ball, making both caretakers flinch backward, the heat energy that the digimon had carried down with her now dissipating over the hills in a mass of warm humidity.

As Arthur and "Elektra/Jellymon" were making their way as quickly as they could through the crowds in "Rosewood City", the two were discussing her holosuit preferences
"So, which one are you thinking of having me get for you, you useless goddess?"
Upon hearing that, "Elektra/Jellymon" bonked Arthur on the head with one of her free tentacles and retorted with a miffed expression
"How uncouth!! I am NOT useless, Arthur Edogawa!! Recant that accusation right now or I shall make you regret it!!...and to answer your question, there is luckily an anime character from your world who looks like me, so I believe I will be using her as my facade."
Arthur could not believe his ears and his surprise at her choice was reflected in his response to her
"Are you serious? Is that not a rather risky choice? Do you want your enemies from that world to come find you in the Digital World and/or the Human World? I highly recommend selecting a different image for your holosuit, you usele...er, 'Goddess Elektra'..."
Arthur had been about to end off with his usual facetious jibe at her, but upon seeing her irate countenance, he relented quickly and addressed her as per how she had instructed him to address her before. He was about to continue, but then, he and "Elektra/Jellymon" witnessed some strange purplish object covered in a fireball streak across the sky above the city along with every other digimon there followed by an ominous rumble and tremor running through the ground which was apparently powerful enough to even make the glass in the city's buildings vibrate briefly. Naturally, since Arthur's curiosity was piqued by this event, he immediately headed off at top speed through the streets by darting in and out of the alleyways across the city with "Elektra/Jellymon" clinging on for her life. Along the way, he noted the remarks being spread about by the panicked city digimon that this mysterious object had landed in an orphanage type setting in the hills near the city and thus, he and his group had their new destination
Of course, Arthur heard his comrade, "Elektra/Jellymon", question him about it, so he quickly replied, taking great joy in seeing her worried face and in having the opportunity to meddle with her mind thusly while speaking in silver-tongued honeyed tones to her about his proposition
"If you truly wish to prove that you are a USEFUL goddess, should you not endeavor to come to the aid of the denizens of this world when able, eh 'Goddess Elektra'? If you do, there MIGHT just be something in it for you as well, you know...after all, my connections network IS a vast one...try to IMAGINE the possibilities therein...maybe I could even get you a certain designer brand beauty product collection which I know you have been desirous of possessing lately...and oh, it would be SUCH a shame if a goddess like you missed out on acquiring such a limited-edition product, yes?"
In response, Arthur beheld her conflicted face and was thoroughly amused as he took the time to listen to it
"You incorrigible imp!! How dare you try to expose me to danger and tempt me in this manner?! Have you no shame for treating a lady this way?!!...That said...I must admit, your offer IS a tempting one, indeed...oh, what a bother!!...that said..."
As he pushed "Elektra/Jellymon" further and further towards the brink of temptation and as he watched her fall into an obviously pensive reverie, Arthur's face briefly flashed into a truly evil-looking and clearly up-to-no-good face as well as one that showed the delight he experienced in being victorious in his attempted mind game. Of course, the moment right before he saw that she had finished making her decision and responded accordingly, Arthur's facial expression instantly morphed back into his default inscrutable and equanimous one
"Ah, very well!! You win, Arthur Edogawa!! I shall assist you and 'Conan/Strabimon' in this venture...but I shall hold you to your promise!! Is that understood, you incorrigible imp?!"
Arthur smirked smugly as he tasted the sweet taste of victory over her and then remarked
"But of course, o ye great Goddess Elektra. It came through, clear as a bell. You have my word upon my sacred honor. Now then, let us sally forth and quickly collect our dear comrade, 'Conan/Strabimon' and then head off with all due haste, eh? For something tells me that time is of the essence here."
With that, the matter was settled finally, and then the two of them went and joined up with their comrade, "Conan/Strabimon", and then Arthur dragged the both of them off to their destination, the shelter in the hills about which the digimon in the crowd were whispering about, their marker now being the giant mushroom cloud of smoke that could be seen rising from said location, which Arthur realized from his rapid analysis of the evidence he had thus far on it, that it was most likely due to someone or something dousing the undoubtedly hot and mysterious object with a large quantity of water.

It actually took about five buckets of cold water in order to make the thing safe enough to touch or at least until the reaction to the water on that purple metallic surface wasn't some kind of hissing steaming plume. The sixth bucket splashed inertly across the smooth purple surface, leaving long streams of droplets rolling down the outside of it's shell. Zack still flicked his hand, the sting of the no doubt already forming blister admonishing him for reaching out to the smoking object in the first place without thinking.
"Whatever it is, it's tough." Marigold said, looking up at the sky where the contrail of the digimon's plummet to the earth was still at least partially visible. Marigold squinted, trying to pluck it out of the rapidly dimming evening sky as if try to pick out what on earth the little purple ball could have fallen from. Whatever it was, it was long gone now, no airplanes, large flying digimon or the like were visible anywhere from one horizon line for the other. Either she'd been dropped by something that wasn't leaving that much of a path, or whatever had dropped her off had gotten the hell out of dodge too fast to be seen and was now long, LONG gone.
"Marigold you shouldn't refer to people as an "it". It's not polite." Zack said, his priorities swapping now that he wasn't as worried about the smoking object setting his grass on fire just by sitting there. He still didn't want to get too-too close though, considering those wicked blade limbs were still spinning like a bad tire stuck up to the wheel arch in mud and those wiry limbs at the bottom of the creature were snapping and flicking out into open air like steel bullwhips. He would much rather keep his hands to himself and KEEP his hands rather than reach out again and get clipped like he'd tried to fist bump a weedwhacker. "Uhh, excuse me? Are you alright? If you hold still for a second we can probably get you out of the mud." He said and slowly, with the halting whir of a machine turning off all of those limbs came to a stop in their resting positions.
"REQUEST: ASSISTENCE." Came a mechanical voice, muffled by the ground surrounding the machine digimon's face plate. It had only a very slight tone, if any at all and most of that even was drowned out by the hitching and buzzing of the speaker it was seemingly coming from. The impact probably hadn't helped.
"Gladly. Marigold? You grab one set of arms, I'll grab the other." He said, gripping the "shoulder" of the creature where the spinning arms connected to the body's main orb, both human and bee digimon hauling backward and upward as they tried to hoist the solid metal being out of the muck. They got a few inches the suction of wet mud on metal bubbling into the air before they were forced to relax, panting. "We might need to get some more people for this." Zack panted, placing his hands on his knees as he doubled over at the waist. Little did he know he was going to get exactly what he wished for and then some.

Arthur and company finally made it all the way up the hillside to where the shelter was apparently located and upon arrival, they were greeted by a rather surreal sight, one of what looked like a young man and a "FanBeemon" attempting pull out some sort of mechanical digimon or what seemed like a digimon out of the muck it had undoubtedly caused by crash-landing in the grassy backyard of the shelter. Naturally, Arthur took a few moments to scan the place so he could have adequate data to analyze and memorize for whatever purpose he would need it in the present situation, as was his usual protocol before entering anywhere new.
Well now, this is a rather intriguing sight...looks like my assessment was correct, after all...
Just then, Arthur heard "Elektra" (i.e., his Jellymon comrade) remarking, thus interrupting his brief reverie
"Master Solmes, this promises to be a rather amusing adventure from my cursory inspection of the situation thus far. Therefore, I suggest that our party goes to assist those two with all due haste."
After that, Arthur heard "Conan" (i.e., his Strabimon comrade) speak as well, concurring with Elektra's take on the issue. So, that decided it for him and then, he led his two digital comrades over to within earshot of the two individuals in the yard and greeted as well as inquired of them in the same breath, though in a manner that was far more dramatic than necessary, with all three of them speaking thusly in perfect sync and with identical polite smiles on their faces
"Greetings and salutations, friends. You seem to be experiencing quite some difficulty with this endeavor of yours. Would you perhaps mind if we assisted you in this venture of rescuing this newcomer from the quagmire it is in right now?"
With that, Arthur and company fell silent and after he put away his hoverboard, they all awaited whatever reaction and response would be given by the man and the "FanBeemon" next to him as well as the newcomer they were trying to assist just then.

Zack and Marigold turned to face the newcomers, Zack panting as he laid with his butt in the grass. They listened to the trio speak all at once, raising an eyebrow and looking to one another. It was more than a little bit odd for a seemingly random affectation but Zack simply shrugged, he wasn't exactly in the right place to judge people for odd affectations considering what he did with his free time. He hopped up, dusting himself off and rolling one of his shoulders, still feeling a bit of an ache from trying to pull the purple robot digimon out of the ground.
"Actually that would be really helpful at the moment, since you're offering. Everyone grab hold of something and we'll all go on three." He said, he and Marigold making room around the fallen mechanical lifeform to let the trio gather around it, each person bending over slightly to grab whatever leverage they could find on the mostly spherical object. "One...two...THREE!" Zack said as everyone hopefully put as much of their weight into the motion as possible alongside him. The wet suction of mud revealed part of why this was so much harder than it seemed, having to pop the vacuum that the robot had created with such a violent landing. Eventually a loud, slurping POP resounded through the air as that vacuum suddenly came loose, freeing the robot from it's pressure and suddenly leaving a lot of free inertia in the group's pulling, sending them all tumbling backward as the robot spun like a tossed basketball in mid air straight up. Right before it looked like it would hoop itself directly into the wet hole that it had just been pried out of though, the mechanical tendrils hanging under it's body shot out like an octopus, bracing itself against the edge of the hole and holding itself out, it's spinning bladed limbs finding purchase in the ground and beginning to carry it toward Zack and Marigold.
"ASSISTENCE: AFFIRMATIVE. RESPONSE: GIVE THANKS" The robot said, with a slight buzz on the edge of it's voice like a speaker that wasn't functioning exactly as intended.
"Not a problem, not a problem at all. We should get you inside though, check that you're actually ok. That was quite a fall you took." He said, patting the robot on the head before turning to Arthur's trio, smiling at them and sinking his hands into his pockets. "You three should join us too, let me find a way to properly thank you for helping us out." he said, waving so that everyone would hopefully follow him toward the back door of the shelter as he pushed it open, unlocked even in the dead of night it seemed. "By the way, what's everyone's name?" He said, making a broad call for introductions as he pushed the door open with his shoulder, holding it open with his back. After the trio all gave their answers though, the robot hesitated.
"QUERY: DEFINE "NAME"?" The robot said, a tilt of it's head and a tendril pressed to it's "chin" making everyone pause. How could a creature not know it's own name? Much less not know what a name IS?

Summarily, Arthur along with his compatriots, Elektra and Conan, was put to work in hoisting the giant purple robotic digimon out of the quagmire it had gotten itself into by crashlanding in the man's yard. Thus, with their assistance added into the man's efforts as well as those of his "Fanbeemon" companion, they somehow succeeded in their task of extricating said gian purple robotic digimon out of said muck.
"Great Scott...that was far more difficult than it looked from afar...but at least we managed to succeed in our quest...and you are most certainly welcome, my friend. Assisting someone in need is the right thing to do after all."
Arthur spoke in short bursts, responding to the purple robotic digimon thanks between panting with his arms resting on his knees as he was hunched over in exhaustion from the sudden explosive effort he had just put into the rescue operation. Elektra as well as Conan were in similar straits nearby but unlike him, they did not seem recovered enough to speak yet. After that, Arthur heard the man invite him, Elektra, and Conan inside to his house to give thanks for them lending their aid to him in rescuing the purple robotic digimon, so of course, he acquiesced and followed the man and his "Fanbeemon" inside with Conan and Elektra in tow as well once they had all recovered enough.
"Ah, our apologies for not introducing ourselves sooner, friend. I am Herlock Solmes and these are my two comrades and close friends, Conan...and Elektra. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintances."
Arthur informed the man briefly while gesturing to himself, then to Conan and finally to Elektra, each in turn. After he said his piece, Conan and Elektra also greeted the man and his "Fanbeemon" companion
"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintances and we are glad we could assist you in this endeavor, friends."
Arthur listened to them saying to the man and after that, the three of them fell silent and awaited whatever response the man and his partner as well as the mysterious purple robotic digimon would have to their introductions.

Zack nodded in response to Herlock and his friends' introductions. For now his focus seemed to be on the perplexing machine that was now standing at the threshold of his home. Unable to even define the WORD name much less provide its own. The question was so out of left field for Zack that eventually Marigold was the one who had to reply.
"Your name is...it's your name. It's what you call yourself, how you tell yourself apart from other people." Marigold said, lowering herself to the ground and scuttering over to the small orb of a robot and placing a hand on its "forehead" as if checking the machine's temperature.
"NAME: DEFINITION INTERNALIZED. NAME: DEFINITION INCOMPATABLE. THIS UNIT DOES NOT POSSESS DATA FOR A NAME." The robot said, going through a series of processes and still coming back without anything that could resemble a real name, something that made Zack sit down, rubbing his chin in confusion. The robot on the other hand turned to one side of the threshold, it's long wiry tendrils moving softly against the petals of a purple flower decorating the back wall of the building. "QUERY: DEFINE THE NATURE OF THIS PLANT." The machine said, nothing in its tones or inflections changing, only by listening to the actual words it was speaking could someone figure out that a question was being asked.
"Well we have to call you something. At the very least until we find some way to get you back to where you came from." Zack said, standing up again, placing his hands into his pockets, his face still lost in confusion and concern. A Digimon violently crash landing in his backyard was one thing but an impact so violent that it caused the being to forget its own name? Could Digimon get concussions? If so, what the hell was he meant to actually do about it. "The flowers? They're just violets, I put them in a few days ago...say." He said, snapping his fingers as the lightbulb going on above his head was very nearly visible as an idea came to him right there and then. "I suppose we'll call you Violet." He said. he was biased toward the names of flowers, his only daughter was named after one after all and it did match the machine's color.

Arthur, Elektra, and Conan all looked on as the little robotic digimon was asked about its name by Zack, and to their surprise as seemed to be the case with Zack himself, said robotic digimon apparently did not possess a name of its own.
Perhaps that crash-landing gave it some sort of retrograde amnesia? What a curious digimon, indeed
Arthur mused silently as he watched the object of his current fascination, namely the yet to be named robotic digimon, starting to explore Zack's home, only to come upon a flowering violet and inquire as to what it was, at which point, Arthur looked on as Zack finally decided to give the little robotic digimon a name, that being "Violet".
"Violet, eh? Quite apropos, indeed...considering our new friend's coloration. So, I surmise that you will be caring for this digimon until it recovers its full range of functionality, eh? For it does look like it could use a guardian of sorts, at least in the foreseeable future."
Arthur remarked to Zack and then fell silent, awaiting whatever response Zack would have to his remarks.

"I mean Arthur, this is a shelter for lost and wayward digimon after all. I can't imagine a more lost or wayward digimon than one that crash landed so hard that it forgot its own name. We'll have to put up posters, ask around Terminus and Rosewood, get them to see a doctor if that's even how this works. I must admit the finer points of the actual function of digimon are a tiny bit lost on me." He said, looking over to Arthur, his brow still deeply furrowed in concern and concentration as he looked back toward the robot.
Marigold was having much the same reaction, looking up at the machine, standing still as a stone without any new input to activate it. She looked it up and down, the face of the bee reflected even now in the scratched, scuffed and muddied surface of the mechanical digimon. Like a security guard or a dog she was check it over in every inch, trying to figure out if it was somehow dangerous. She didn't trust it, her antennae standing on end and twitching slightly as she observed the being.
"NAME: VIOLET. DATA INTERNALIZED." The little machine said, it's voice just a mite too loud, especially with marigold standing only inches from its face and after it had been so perfectly still and silent. The little be jumped back with a startled yelp.

Arthur nodded to Zack in agreement as he listened to the man's plan for getting their new robotic companion settled in after the harrowing ordeal it had gone through in crash-landing in the shelter's yard and then, he remarked
"Indeed, it will be quite the herculean undertaking, I presume. I do have some contacts who can potentially assist you in this endeavor, so if you want me to get into contact with them, I can definitely set about doing that."
With that, Arthur fell silent and then he and Conan (i.e., his Strabimon comrade) watched as Elektra (i.e., their mutual Jellymon comrade) went to join Marigold in her examination of their new robotic companion, now named "Violet". After a few moments of silence, Arthur's ears were assaulted by Violet's sudden exclamation, alerting them that said digimon had memorized its newly given name, causing him to recoil a little due to the vocal volume hurting his ears, if only a little.
"Oh my, now that was certainly loud. However, at least we know now that its memory banks and stimulus reception and internalization protocols are more or less intact, so we can rest easy for the time being."
Arthur remarked nursing his ears briefly and then fell silent as he waited for Zack and the rest to respond in some way.

"Any help that I can get on this would be really appreciated, without a doubt. I'm not the investigator type. I know my way around a scene more or less but the finer points of sniffing out the truth are often lost on me. A list of names to seek out or numbers to call would be very much appreciated if you could write it down for me." Zack said, pointing softly to a notepad and a pen that were set up on an end table just behind Arthur, Zack used it for all kind of random note taking throughout the day so he would obviously be checking it again for the list Arthur would write down.
"Holy moly, Violet, turn down the volume a little bit will you? For the sake of our poor ears." She said, ignoring the obvious irony of the fact that she was an insect who didn't even have visible ears in the first place. Violet froze in place, not moving, her "face" not even letting out a twitch for just long enough to make everyone think that something had gone wrong yet again.
"Request recognized and internalized: Volume decreased by Fifty-Eight percent. Well within comfortable decibel range of human hearing." The robot replied. The voice was pleasant enough to a tolerable range of noise but there was nothing identifiable about it. No gender, no tone, only information declared and recorded with the minimum amount of required words and energy.

Fortunately for Arthur, as he looked on with Elektra and Conan, they all heard "Violet" acquiesce to the group's common request as voiced by Marigold to turn down the volume. After that, Arthur focused on the task before him, namely of supplying the information to Zack
Hmm...let's see...there's him...and her...hmm...who else? Ah yes...
Musing thus silently, Arthur compiled the list of contacts mentally and then wrote them down neatly on the notepad that Zack had given him for that purpose. Then, he handed the notepad over to Zack and then went over to "Violet" and sat down opposite said digimon. After that, he inquired of "Violet" regarding the reason for her crash-landing, though in a manner that said digimon would be able to comprehend easily and in as gentle and cordial a tone as possible with a childlike curious look in his eyes
"Input Query Task 1: search memory database of this unit codenamed "Violet" for available records of all relevant events with a timestamp dated immediately prior to this unit's crashlanding. Input Query Task 2: search memory database of this unit codenamed "Violet" for available records of all relevant events with a timestamp dated during aforementioned unit's crash-landing."
After inquiring thus, Arthur fell silent and awaited whatever responses that Violet may have to his queries while Elektra and Conan looked on with curiosity about the purple robotic digimon in their eyes.

Zack took the notepad that Arthur handed him gingerly, his eyes scanning over the list of names and other information that had been scratched into the paper. Some of them he recognized, more vaguely than others, some of them he had never heard of at all. But at least it was a group of doors to begin knocking on.
"Query input error." Violet replied to Arthur's technically skewed question after a long moment of silent consideration, like a computer having to load a specific file before it could be accessed. "Unit: Violet contains no memory data before or during crash landing. Unit: Violet's databanks begin in full twelve minutes and forty four seconds ago." The machine replied. Zack didn't know the time that perfectly but even he could hazard a guess that that was about the time where the machine flicked "on" again as they hauled her out of the muddy crater it had created with its impact.
"Arthur I don't think talking to them like that is one hundred percent necessary. If they can respond to "holy moly, violet, turn down the volume a little bit will you?" Then they're probably perfectly capable of answering a normally phrased question." Zack said, pointing out that Violet had already responded to input phrased in a normal, conversational way, showing that they were capable of doing it again.
"Assertion: Correct. This unit is capable of receiving input from vernacular language." The robot responded, though while that was helpful it didn't really help the problem that they still had no idea where they'd come from or why.
