Awaken, Paledramon! (For Fun)

FrosT growled in frustration as his prey yet again used some fancy new technology to give themselves some special ability. FrosT really should have like, just gobbled up the human and ate him or something, but apparently that was considered incredibly rude so he couldn't do that. He was polite and gentlemanly murderer after all. He only attacked helpless Digimon prey. Besides, humans tasted all weird, and because they weren't made out of data he worried he would get some kind of... radiation poisoning or something. The last thing FrosT wanted was to get Digi-Cancer. Then he'd have to set up a GoFundMe, and being a murderous hunter didn't go over so well, sympathy-wise.
But babbling aside, FrosT should deal with the bullets, or something! So he did just that! He took in another deep breath, sucking in all the bullets and swallowing them whole! They tasted a lot like meatballs, though... they were like those, rubbery, microwaveable meatballs you'd get from a Banquet meal. Damned D-Arc cards and their synthetic flavors.
Anyways, even if it wasn't a fire attack, FrosT felt himself getting powered up! And he was set up to do big damage soon!
-FrosT uses Polar Opposite once again to absorb Paledramon's Gargo Laser, boosting the strength of his next move by 30%!

Adrian felt really damn stupid after he witnessed what just happened. He and Paledramon just stared at the FrosTyrannomon after the Digimon just ate the Gargo Bullets that was shot his way. "I forgot that he ate fire..." Adrian muttered as he felt his face go a bit red. "Well aren't we just a pair of idiots?" Paledramon asked as he sweatdropped. "We need another plan fast, before he tries to launch another big attack at us..." Paledramon tried to dash around the battlefield in order to stall the FrosT while he and Adrian thought of another plan of attack. Maybe all the moving he was doing would confuse or anger the FrosTyrannomon enough to give them an advantage! Maybe I have a card that can help me, Adrian thought as he looked through his deck. Fire and energy attacks are a no-go, since this thing will just eat them anyways. Maybe another element will help? Then he glanced at his "Berserker Protocol" card. Maybe using this in tandem with Paledramon's highest-powered move would help! But wait, this form's so new... how do I even know if Paledramon even has a move that can help here? Ah, to hell with it! Adrian wasted no time pulling out the card and slashing it.
"Digi-Modify! Berserker Protocol activate!" And just like that, Paledramon could feel his raw power increasing inside him. He felt like he could take on the world at this point! "Alright, let's do this!"
[Meteor Hail]
Adrian's eyes widened as he was suddenly forced to say something. "Meteor Hail!"
Paledramon would then dash up right into the sky before crashing down right at FrosTyrannomon at full speed. Thankfully Adrian was far away enough so that he wouldn't be affected by the shockwave that was dealt with this attack. What in the world was that...?
Adrian slashes the "Berserker Protocol" card.
Paledramon uses his "Meteor Hail" attack on FrosTyrannomon.

FrosT was set-up and poised to attack... and yet he didn't do so right away. Was it because he existed in a turn-based combat environment and couldn't attack Paledramon without his opponent's author calling bullshit? Well, yes, but shut up.
But the in-canon reason was that FrosT, while he was most certainly on the more primal side of things, wasn't a fool. He was an expert hunter that wanted to use his strongest attacks to the best of their ability. And using a powerful attack for the 2nd time during combat was just plain foolish when the opponent expected it to be coming. So FrosT bided his time, waiting for the right opportunity to attack!
And FrosT took that opportunity when Paledramon went high into the sky and came crashing back down directly towards FrosT! The large dino spread his arms out to the side as the icicle-dragon crashed into him with a crashing impact. FrosT let out a roar of sheer agony and determination.
This was most certainly a foolish move, but it was one FrosT was willing to gamble upon. Simply put, he had pride in his abilities. Whether it was true or not, he genuinely believed that he was stronger, smarter, faster, and all-around tougher than his quarry. So if taking an attack or two meant securing the victory, he would do so however many times it took, or at least until his body fell apart.
The prideful dino didn't expect the attack to be this powerful, however. No doubt thanks to the human's interference, of course. Once he devoured this icy dragon and loaded his data, then killed the human and turned him into an icy statue, he should look into getting one of those DM-R devices for himself.
But as strong as the attack was, however, it wasn't enough to kill FrosT just yet. He was a tough son of a gun, and though he had clearly seen better days, he decided that enough was enough. While Paledramon was crashing down with his high-speed impact move that sent a shockwave out all around the two of them, kicking up the normally packed snow of the tundra and causing a wave of loose snow in every direction, FrosT unleashed another frozen burst of air from his mouth towards the berserk protocol-ing Paledramon.
-FrosT takes Paledramon's attack head-on, using the straightforward attack as an opportunity to fire off another Frozen Burst towards his opponent, boosting by 30% from the previous round's Polar Opposite.

Adrian knew something was up when he saw the FrosTyrannomon just standing there, waiting to take Paledramon's attack head-on. Even though this was a wild Digimon, he had to have some level of intelligence to not just be wildly swinging and attacking. Did he have a plan in mind? It didn't seem to matter in the moment, as Paledramon's attack appeared to have successfully collided with the icy dinosaur, causing it to scream in what one can assume to be sheer pain. Unfortunately, the attack wasn't quite strong enough to finish off the FrosTyrannomon once and for all. It seemed that a bit more fighting would be required in order to be able to pull it off. But Adrian and his partner had faced worse than this guy before, and Adrian had full faith that he and Paledramon would be able to make it out of this alive. "Don't give up, Paledramon! I know you can do it! Show this cold hearted dinosaur what's up!" "R-Right!" Paledramon growled as he and FrosT seemed to be having some kind of wrestling moment after Paledramon's attack. But then there was that moment where FrosTyrannomon's head went back a bit, and Adrian knew exactly what was going to happen... he was unleashing another powerful snow blast! The one that took SuperShoutmon out instantly! Adrian panicked as he looked through his cards again, looking for something that could keep them in the fight for just a little bit longer, as Paledramon wasn't going to be able to take that much damage again this soon. But then a random memory popped into his head... "'Particle Decelerator'?" Shoutmon asked, sitting outside of the Terminus Mall on a bench as he looked over the card that his partner had acquired, an eyebrow raised in suspicion. "It just says here that this card will make me smaller... how is that going to help us at all?"
"Well, it doesn't say anything about it affecting your power," Adrian said as he took the card back. "It'd be like the movie Ant-Man; you'd be small but deadly."
"Why the heck would I ever need to become small, though? This card is gonna be so useless to us."
"Hey, you never know. I doubt we'll ever use even half these cards, but they're handy to have around just in case."
"Just in case... just in case!" With great confidence, Adrian pulled out yet another card and slashed it. "Digi-Modify! Particle Decelerator Activate!"
Paledramon felt himself feeling different as FrosTyrannomon was preparing that attack. He closed his eyes and prepared for impact, but the most that he felt was a light grazing of cold at the top of his head. He opened his eyes only to look up and find himself staring at an even BIGGER FrosTyrannomon. "AAAAAAAAAAAAUGH!" Paledramon screamed, his voice now of a higher pitch. "Adrian, what did you do to me?!"
"I just saved you! Now keep fighting, Paledramon!"
"'Particle Decelerator'... I get it now!" Paledramon said. With his newfound short stature, he took to the skies to continue the fight with the now bigger FrosT. Even though his size went smaller, his attacks would still have one hell of a kick to them like they always did.
[Ice Age]
"Ice Age!" Adrian shouted again, and Paledramon obeyed. He unleashed a powerful beam of cold energy going straight at FrosTyrannomon. It would be smaller than usual and... honestly, probably easy to avoid thanks to the smaller size, but if it hit, it was gonna hit at the exact same strength it would have otherwise.
Adrian slashes the "Particle Decelerator" card.
Paledramon grows shorter, just barely missing the "Frozen Burst" attack, and retaliating with "Ice Age" against FrosTyrannomon.

Ice Age: Paledramon inhales and fires a beam of sheer cold energy from his mouth at the target. A Digimon hit by this attack will cause their speed to decrease by 30% for one post. Cooldown is one post.

FrosTyrannomon had noticed that things had been going south for some time now, what with the pesky human intervening with his superior technology and whatnot. So unfair. FrosTyrannomon should have stopped by Terminus Mall and start using cards of his own, but sadly, traffic was a pain, so he kept putting his shopping trip off, and now it was too late. Fighting this dragon boy and this not-dragon boy was beginning to be more trouble than it's worth. But granny FrosT didn't raise no quitter, so FrosT figured he could stick it out a little bit longer, even though the human kept getting in the way. Really, he should probably just murder the human and be on his merry way, but the stupid site rules said that he wasn’t allowed to do that.
Even so, the Paledramon enemy shrunk down to avoid his attack, then countered with an icy blast of his own. It was just a tiny little beam, though, so it didn’t look like it would hurt much. FrosT reached out his large claw to block it... which turned out to be a big mistake! Even the icy dino felt a horrid sensation of pain run up his arm as his claw completely froze over. It was really cold, and for some reason he felt like he was a little bit slower. Maybe it was because his hand was a giant chunk of ice or something. That was probably it.
So... him being small was definitely strange, but not problematic. FrosT was a hunter, after all, and he was used to taking down smaller prey. Admittedly, most of his small prey didn’t put nearly as much of a fight as this guy. Even so, there was murdering to be done! Looking at his frozen hand, FrosT thought back to his days as a young SnowAgumon with his longtime friend Fro-Zen, and how they joined a gang and took down this one Frigimon. But unlike Adrian, FrosT wasn’t going to have a flashback in the middle of combat. Talk about rude.
FrosT wound up his frozen claw and clenched it tight, the ice around his claw shattering and breaking apart, turning into a swirling glove of frozen energy able to freeze the most polar of polar bears, the penguinest of penguins, and any other creature that likes the cold or whatever.
Point is, it was gonna hurt.
